The Year is 2002 A.D (After Discord), the continent of Equestria is experiencing an economic and technological rush after the fall of King Sombra and the freedom of the Crystal Empire with new trade negotiations with the Empire. With threats to the capitol at a minimum the populace looks to the horizon and seeks new knowledge and understanding of years past with the knowledge that the populace of the Crystal Empire being over a millennium old. For many years the Equestrians have been discovering and adapting new technologies found from multiple scattered unidentified debris of an unknown predecessor race, though sometimes these technologies have made lives easier and tensions rise on bordering nations who wish to possess acquired technological comforts.

Years after the reappearance of the crystal empire the knowledge gold rush is underway and the Crystal Empress Mi Amore Cadenza and Prince Shining Armor cordially invites all nations to enter borders of the realm in the hopes to promote learning and love between an already tense state of affairs by the exploration of the frozen wastes. The nations of Griffonia, Labyrinthia, Draconia, and Equestria have met behind closed doors to discuss a pact of neutrality within the borders of the Crystal Empire and all information discovered with be within best interest shared between all nations for the betterment of the world, but this will not stop under the table grudges from happening. But as the lines are drawn and neutrality has been reached, the Sovereign State of the Changeling empire puts pressures upon all borders.

Twilight Sparkle, on behest of the Equestrian Diarchy is chosen to lead a team of adventurers and explorers to study and uncover lost artifacts and new technology. This is the beginning of their story, a story of adventure, discovery, and possible danger in the pursuit of lost History.

This is an Expedition and Discovery Adventure, this story will be a moderate buildup to earn the human tag and will play more on the adventure and discovery of ruins and legends within the crystal empire.

This story contains elements from both the MLP Universe, my own Universe, and the MLP Comics. A few story themes if looked into deeply enough will match close to but not exactly. Its contents at heart are wholly original and I intend to make it this way. If Songs are referenced they are heavily rewritten but the theme of the song will remain to honor the artist.
