Chapters The Beginning
"You can't catch me!" filly Rainbow Dash yelled as she darted past her mother and father.
"I'm gonna get you Dashie!" said her father.
Cautiously, Rainbow peeked out of her hiding place.
"Where did she go? Did she disappear?" her mother questioned.
"We love you so much Rainbow Dash!" her mother exclaimed, hugging Rainbow tightly and lovingly.
Right then, out of the blue, her mother collapsed. Spectrum Blaze acted quickly and grabbed her before she could fall, lowering to the floor gently as she clutched her side, clearly in pain.
"Crystal Rain?!? Are you alright!? We have to take you to the hospital! He said urgently.
"No, no I'm fine! I don't know what came over me!" Her mom said quickly, wincing as another spasm of pain shot through her body.
Rainbow Dash started to scramble over to Crystal Rain, crying as she hugged her. "Mommy!" She sobbed.
Crystal smiled and hugged her back. "It's okay, Dashie, I'm fine, see?"
Spectrum wasn’t taking it. “No!” he shouted, before lowering his voice. “Crystal, I'm not allowing this to continue anymore! I won't let you be stubborn about this anymore! You've put if off far to long! You are going to go see a doctor whether you like it or not, and that's final!
Crystal was about to protest, but then clutched her side again. She tried to hide the pain but failed. "Ok," She said shakily. Finally for the first time in months, she gave in to her husband.
"It’s okay honey, I'm fine!" She gasped for breath, and Spectrum quickly picked up and laid his wife onto his back and grabbed Rainbow Dash in his hooves. He raced to the hospital as fast as his wings could take him, silently praying, that everything would be alright!
Later
"I'm sorry sir. I know your upset but I need to ask you to calm down!"
"Calm down, calm down! You need to tell me what's wrong with my wife!?!"
"Sir, I'm sorry but I don't know! I've never seen anything like this! I just can't figure out what's wrong!"
"What do you mean you can't figure it out!? That's your job! To diagnose ponies and get them better!"
"Yes, and I've done all the tests I can! I have no idea what's wrong, nor the other doctors who have worked here their whole life! We can't find anything wrong with her! There is simply nothing we can do. I'm sorry, but it doesn't look like she will make it through the nig-“
"You are sorry!?" Spectrum interrupted angrily. "My wife's dying and you’re not healing her!"
"Sir, I'm sorry but I told you there is simply nothing we can do! I think it would be best if you took care of your daughter and said your goodbyes before it's too late." The doctor said, turning and trotting away from Spectrum.
"And I think you shouldn't be a doctor!" Spectrum yelled furiously after him, grabbing his wife's hoof and squeezing it she squeezed back.
"Stop" she said barely audible. He went silent, turning his full attention to his wife. "Stop, Spectrum." She said. "Stop." She repeated weekly. "It's not their fault! I'm running out of time, and I have to tell you something important. Where's my little Rainbow?" she asked.
"I'll go get her." Spectrum said, now crying.
"Wait!" She said weakly. He turned to her. "I'm sorry that I never told you."
"Never told me what?"
"Rainbow, she has abilities. I can't explain, I'm trying to help her learn to keep them under control! I don't know how to, but you can help. I'm sorry I kept it from you. I… I just didn't know how to tell you. I thought you might look at her differently if I did, and I didn’t want that! She loves you, please take care of her for me! Help her learn to control her abilities. I'm afraid she'll loose herself into chaos. Please help her, and tell her I love her!" Crystal became limp and her hoof slipped out of Spectrum's hoof as she fell unconscious.
"Mommy!" Spectrum turned and saw Rainbow Dash throw open the door and fly inside, several nurses following, trying to stop her.
"Stop, little filly!" one of them yelled, grabbing Dash's shoulder.
"No!" She yelled, turning. She swung her arm away from the nurses, and they were blown back which such a force that they fell to the floor, unconscious. Around Rainbow were colored flames circling around her and her parents, instantly turning solid once they hit the ground, and shooting dangerous, tall crystals. Just by looking at them, the crystals could cut you.
"Mommy!" Rainbow Dash shouted again. Blaze backed away from the crystals with tears and a shocked expression that was unreadable. He turned to see Rainbow holding her mother’s hoof, crying. Crystal’s eyes cracked open a little bit, and she smiled wanly and sadly at her little filly.
"I am sorry, Rainbow, that I could not be there for you. I hope you forgive me, and remember that I love you! She said, before falling back into bed and her eyes closed for the last time. The line on the monitor went blank. BEEP!
"No!!!!" Rainbow shouted, her eyes swimming with so much tears she could her vision was blurred.
Rainbow flung herself against the wall. More shards spouted out around her as she sobbed her heart out. Her mane changed colors, now representing her emotions. It now was streaked with a deep blue and black, representing sadness, fear and heartache.
Crystal Rain’s funeral was held the following evening. Rainbow Dash sobbed the whole time, and when it was time to go, she refused to leave her mother’s grave. It was then, that Spectrum completely shunned his daughter, making her heart break even more then it was already. Once they got home she went up to her room and cried herself to sleep, while her father was keen about forgetting everything and anything that involved his wife, his daughter, and the loving memories they shared.
Rainbow was woken up by a sudden throbbing feeling on her back. She screamed and turned around, to see that her father was completely out of his mind, drunk. He had stabbed her with the edge of a picture frame so hard, it shattered the frame and the glass and cut huge gashes in her side and back! She tried to use her powers to stop him but they didn't respond.
They hadn't since her mother died, but it was too late. He grabbed her roughly and pushed her onto the wall. Dash fell to the floor, before she could get up, he stomped on her back, causing the pain to flare up even more. She struggled and scrambled up to her hooves, only to be yanked back down by strong hooves, and he slapped across the face. He then started to yell in her face, words that were so slurred she couldn’t understand them. All except for one sentence.

Hello everyone! I just want to say this chapter came out grimmer than I anticipated! I don't plan on and other abuse scenes at this point in time! I will let you know if anything changes! I tried to keep the abuse down to a minimal by not going into too much detail as to what injuries she received, or how she felt while receiving them. I don't plan on anymore abuse except for a scene when cloud chaser enters the story in the future. But I promise I won't go beyond yelling and a slap in the face thanks hope you like it!!!

"From Bad To Worst"
It had been around two months since Crystal Rain had died and Rainbow Dash was still heartbroken. The abuse from her father had only got worse, especially when he started dating a mare named Firefly. Firefly had never liked Rainbow, but she never laid a hoof on her. That was, until she started drinking and doing drugs.
On her bad side, Firefly had convinced her father that Rainbow was a murderer, and had killed Crystal Rain. Spectrum had believed her and made Rainbow’s life a lot worse than it already was.
Firefly had taken all of Rainbow’s things, except for her bed and a few thin sheets. Now, that was the only thing she had to keep herself warm at night, and she often woke up at the middle of the night, shivering. The only other things she had were her saddle bags, school supplies, and a few other items she managed to hide away from Firefly. She kept the items in a secret pocket that was sown in her bag, at least before Firefly found out about it. In this pocket, she hid the few bitz she had and a special locket given from her mother.
The only other thing she had was a scrap book that she had made and cherished with all of her heart. She kept it hidden in a gap on her bed, stuffing it tightly in and hiding it with her sheets.
Her door that used to always be open and free now had dead bolts on it from the outside, trapping her inside her room like a prison cell. She was inside the all the time except for when she was at school.
School was almost like home, but a bit better. The reason it was like home was because there was bullies who would taunt her non-stop. She would get angry and would’ve probably punched them in the face and they would never think even think about calling her ‘Rainbow Crash’ anymore, but she knew better than to sink to their level and get in trouble.
Despite this, school was still a relief for Rainbow Dash. She quickly became friends with a very determined baby blue colt, named Soarin. He was the only one who knew about Rainbow’s condition at home. When they had met, he knew something was wrong. He got her to open up, and helped her become happy. Soon, they were best friends. But Soarin was worried for Rainbow, because he knew that she was planning to run away, and he didn’t want that to happen, so he had promised himself that he would help her, no matter at what cost.
After school ended, Rainbow was always forced to make a decision she made every day. Go back home and be locked up, beaten, and possibly be starved another day. Or stay and go searching through the trash to find something to eat, and go home at night fall, hoping that her dad and Firefly wouldn’t realize that she came home late.
Today was like most days. She would stay behind and attempt to find food, and prepare for the worst when it was time to return home. Rainbow went to look for food where she normally did when she was hungry. A popular food restaurant called 'Pony Joe's' where there was always plenty of food, and if she was lucky, she would be able to get some snippets. It was always busy, and ponies would always throw perfectly good food away. Rainbow would always take these as quietly as she could, so she wouldn’t get thrown out.
The restaurant was also a high spot for collecting bitz. There were always some being dropped on the ground and left behind. Rainbow would never beg, and instead she would wait there patiently. Always, she would wait until the end of the day before collecting the coins, so this gave the bitz owners a chance claim them. She never wanted to steal, but she needed the bitz if she was going to do her plan. Today, she had gotten 12 bitz, so it was worth it.
Then she came out of the restaurant and made her way to home. When Rainbow arrived before the door, she made the same wish she always made.
"I wish my dad would quit drinking and love me again. I wish he will for once open his eyes, and say he loves me, just one more time.”
"Rainbow?" She heard her father’s voice call. She stiffened, alarmed, but tried to keep her cool.
"Yes Daddy?" She replied questioningly. He trotted up to her, Firefly following behind.
Firefly laid her head on her father’s shoulder, making Rainbow wanted to scream in protest, but she knew better, and the scar on her back wasn’t about to let her forget it.
"We have a surprise for you!" He said, surprisingly in a gentle way, but he had a sickening look on his face that made Rainbows stomach turn upside-down.
"We're getting married!" They said together.
Rainbow was shocked and heartbroken, sure that she had heard wrong. How could her father do this to her?
"Now go to room right now!” Firefly yelled at her, back to normal, rude, Firefly
Rainbow knew better than to disobey. She ran to her room and started to cry. There was no turning back now. Rainbow loved her father despite what he had done, but she had no choice.
"I’m running away!"
Escape
Rainbow had to come up with a plan!
"Where would I go where would i live and eat!" Rainbow dash thought to herself, "I know I'll go to the woods across from the school, their has to be a good place their to build a shelter! And no pony would ever think to go looking for me their! I would be forever hidden! And I could coupon,to get food for free!! Soarin showed me the basics with how his mom does it! And I could get coupons from the recycling bins! I'll never go hungry again unlike I do here! and I could always go looking for bits! Or pick up a small job in the time square! Like I could clean windows normally they give me about $5 for that."
Rainbow grinned, "but I need to get ready! I need to leave as soon as possible! Either way! No matter what happens, it's guaranteed to be better than living here!"
Rainbow began to pack the few belongings she had. A worn saddle bag with old supplies from last year. Her father wouldn't even spent one bit to bye her a new notebook, instead he spent all their bits on cider and drugs. So she always had to make do with what she had, or bye new supplies with her bits, their was never any playing or doodling all her supplies was strictly for school! It wasn't that she minded paying for it, it was the fact that because of her age she couldn't get a job to support herself. She knew it was very unlikely that she would go the collage.
Rainbow looked at the scars on her back, only a hateful reminder of her Father! Marks that would forever mark her flesh till the day she died. She knew her father knew he would get in trouble if some pony noticed the scars. Their was only a week left of school when he did this, so he kept Rainbow Dash locked up inside her room for the entire week and summer! Their was no end of the year party or snacks or fun or saying goodbye to friends. Her dad made sure that no pony would see the scars, her fur covered them now. However if you looked for felt her smooth looking coat you could feel the scars hidden under her cyan colored fur.
At least he fed her. Or at least used to before Firefly came into their life. Oh how she hated that day, she hated it more than the day her mother died. Rainbow Dash shook the painful thoughts from her head and opened her saddle bags. She straightened everything up and pushed it to one side so she could carefully slide in her most cherished possession, her scrap book. Looking at it hurt, But she liked it. She remembered all the things she did with her mother! This made her happy, but it made her hart hurt at the thought of never seeing her again, playing with her.
"It's not fair!" Rainbow Dash said as she allowed a single tear to escape her eye before putting it into her saddle bags. "Why?" Rainbow whispered,
As she opened the other side of her saddle bags. It now only held one item, a cloth. She picked it up and peeked inside, only to let out the breath she had been holding. "Oh thank goodness, it's still here!" She said placing it down as if it were a delicate piece of glass. Inside were two small carrots. A normal pony wouldn't care, just two small carrots, but to Rainbow Dash these two small carrots were a blessing! She placed her saddle bags on top of them and they were hidden from sight but she still had easy access to them. All rainbow had other than this, was the sheets on her bed and toiletries.
"I'll pack the sheets tomorrow." Rainbow said, to litterly no pony.
She brushed her mane and teeth and packed the mane/ tooth brush. She took the shampoo and even the soap it's not like her father and Firefly would notice before she was gone anyway. Now all Rainbow Dash needed was here birth certificate, and information! And unless the file was moved, witch she doughted it was. It Would still be in the office. Rainbow's Father forgot to dead bolt the door, so it was now or never, this would be her only chance at escape!
She opened her door silently, and poked her head out. She got on her elbows and crawled as low as she could to the edge of the stairs. Where she heard laughing she bravely peeked down the stairs. Their she saw her Father, Rainbow Blaze and Firefly clank their drinks together.
"To us!" Rainbow Blaze said,
"Sure, I'll drink to that!" Firefly said.
They both downed their drinks before the both of them collapsed and intertwined with one another, quickly escalating into a make out session. Rainbow dare not make a sound but Instead darted past the stairs! She went as swiftly and quietly as she could and entered the hall! She quickly mad a right and entered the office, and darted to the desk. She pulled open the bottom drawer and just like she thought at the very top of the stack was a file. It read 'Dashies Birth Certificate', in long smooth loopy cursive writing. Her mother's writing. Rainbow smiled, she missed her mother so much!
Then she heard approaching hoof steps. Rainbow gasped as panic started to rise. She quickly shut the drawer and jumped into hiding. She saw a shadow approaching and it stopped.
" Actually, honey I forgot, I think I left the cider under the coffee table!" Spectrum Blaze called as he turned and made his way down stairs.
Rainbow poked her head out from under the desk and finally allowed allowed herself to breath. She peeked out of the door and darted quietly to the stairs. She once again peeked down once the coast was clear she went straight to her room and closed the door.
She sighed in relief, but couldn't help but crack a victorious grin! She quickly checked and made sure everything she needed was in the file, thank goodness it was! Then slid it into her saddle bags and climbed up in bed after turning out the lights. She needed to get rest to tomorrow was a big day. Maybe the most important one of her life!

Hey everyone!! I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I think I might make the next one, shorter. I haven't decided. I think I might also start another story, so it may be awhile before I post the next chapter. If you all really want the next chapter leave a comment, and I'll make sure it gets done. Also I'm so SORRY I wanted to have this chapter done yesterday, because all I had was editing to do! But I was sick with a fever! I made my self edit it because I didn't want you to wait, only to find out I forgot to save it!!! My luck, anyway I'm sorry it was late! And I'm better now! P.S. Comet Blaze is Comet Streaks mother. I understand that this may become confusing, also in case in didn't go into description they both have a blood red coat with yellow and orange mix mane Comet Blaze has Green eyes while Comet Streak has eyes identical to Rainbow Dash.

"Okay, here we are Rainbow Dash, have a good day, and always do your best." Comet Blaze told Rainbow
"Okay," Rainbow Dash replied.
"Bye bye, Comet Streak!" Rainbow Dash said giving the young colt a nuzzle.
"Bye bye!" The colt giggled.
Comet Blaze smiled when she saw how sweet they were. "Bye!" Rainbow said suddenly, hugging Comet Blaze. "Hu? Oh bye sweetie, have a good day! Then the bell rang, and rainbow zipped to the school house doors. leaving nothing but a rainbow colored trail behind her. "No sissy!" Young Comet Streak cried. "No honey it's okay." Comet Blaze tried to sooth. "Wwaaaiinbow!" The colt cried, reaching his little hooves in the direction of the doors Rainbow Dash had gone through. "Ssssshhhh, honey it's okay." His mother cooed trying to calm the crying colt, witch proved to be fruitless.

"Okay class time for recess!" Mrs.Windith said.
"YAY!!!" Every pony cheered and darted outside.
"Hey Rainbow Dash!" Soarin called
Rainbow grinned "Hey Soarin, come on I need your help! Theirs no time to loose!"
Rainbow dash grabbed Soarin's hoof and together they ran to the woods.
"So what exactly are we looking for out here?" Soarin questioned.
"Just any ware that I could make a shelter that would be water and wind proof and will keep me warm and safe." Rainbow said simply as if running away was nothing, Soarin however had thoughts scribbling all through his head she was serious! She had actually done it she had run away!?! However Soarin was her friend and he would never loose her trust, and Soarin was a pony of his word.
Soarin stared blankly, "Okay" he said uncertain. Still not entirely sure what to look for but he tried never the less.
"How about here?" Rainbow asked,
Soarin trotted over to a hollowed out tree trunk.
"Here? how are you supposed to live in just a hollow tree? The rain can fall straight in from the top and wind can come in from the side not to mention that this will keep you freezing here with nothing to protect you from the elements!" Soarin replied.
"I know but I had an idea! What if we dug here in the center of the inside and made a underground room? We could line it with clouds that would keep it soft inside, and dry! No water would get in and it wouldn't collapse inside because the roots would support it, Rainbow Dash replied.
Soarin thought about it and smiled. "Yeah, I guess that can work. I never would have thought of that!" He said cheekily.
"I know, I guess it's that awesome a plan! Anyway, thanks for your help soar. Now if you don't mind, I've got some work to do, and by work I mean digging!" Rainbow said grinning with glee at the thought of being free.
"Wait, what!? No way am I letting you do this all by yourself! I'll help you, besides my moms working late at the gym. I'm staying in aftercare today. I can come help you more after school!"
"Gee thanks!" Rainbow said with a smile.
Having this be magic ground witch is basically ground with Pegasus magic in it. This was cloudsdale after all, it was surprisingly easy. They finished a pretty good sized bedroom, except for the corners. Those needed to be done. It was like digging in cotton candy that wasn't sticky. They got back just in time for the bell indicating that the recess hour was up.
"Come on in children! We have a review and then class with be out for the rest of the day!" Mrs.windith told them, then her eyes fell onto Soarin and Rainbow. "Oh my! What did you two get into that could get you so dirty? Rainbow and soarin just looked at each other. "Oh never mind." She said, "come on let's get you cleaned up."

After school Soarin and Rainbow Dash ran out to the woods as fast as they could, tagging each other and grinning the whole way, nothing but happiness and bliss filled the air.
"Okay so what do we need to do to finish this?" Soarin questioned
"Well first, I guess we should finish the corners and collect the clouds. How about you collect the clouds and I'll do the corners? or the other way around its up to you either way is fine with me!"
"Nah thanks I'll get the clouds." Soarin said flashing her a goofy grin before taking off.
Soarin had finally made it to cloud level, easier said than done. He was a very weak flyer, and he always envied Rainbow Dash for her flight abilities. Soarin began to look around before he spotted a weather parole pegasus kicking the clouds into none existence.
"Um, excuse me!" The colt called flying towards him.
The stallion turned his head and smiled at the approaching colt.
"Hey anything I can do for you? Your not lost are you?"
"No, I'm not lost. Hey, um I was wondering can I have all of the clouds? you know instead of you kicking them? I need them for a project and I need as many as possible." Soarin said the pleading evident in his voice.
"Sure!" The stallion replied. "Where do you need me to move them?"
"Oh,um. Just move them to the play ground." He said pointing a hoof the the playground at the side of the school.
"Alright" he said turning his direction to the play ground.
Rainbow came trotting out of the woods having just finished the corners and shaping the walls of her soon to be home. She looked up to see Soarin.
"Thank you! Bye!" Soarin said waving as rainbow caught sight of a stallion taking off and leaving.
Rainbow trotted up behind him smiling at all the clouds they had collected. They had a lot to say the very least.
"Hey, soar!"
Soarin turned startled. "Oh hey! think this is enough?"
"Oh, yeah! That's AWESOME!"
"Well" Soarin said blushing, "Maybe I could make a living building clouds, big and strong!" Soarin said flexing his muscles, BIG MONEY IS IN THE HOUSE!
"Yeah well you can't make big money if you leave all the work to a full grown Stallion, can you?" Rainbow teased.
Soarin flushed "Oh,um,da"
Rainbow laughed. "Come on soar or should I say Big Money? She chuckled. "By the way, thanks Soar." She said in a now calm, sincere ton.e
"Y-your welcome." Soarin replied, turning his head so she wouldn't see the blushed that formed on his face, from her using his pet name. He helped her move the first cloud back to her soon to be new home. She was now only a short way away from her freedom!
Rainbow started smoothing out the clouds for installation, she didn't even notice Soarin adding the stairs when she was finally done and turned around she was stunned at the sight to see, a perfect set of stairs so carefully and delicately put into place.
"Do you like it? He asked w-we can always take it down if you don't!" He said quickly.
'What? no, it's awesome!" Rainbow said flashing him a grin
"Oh really?" He said now smiling
"Well in that case, I made this too! He said leading her to the side of the stairs, he used his hooves to part the clouds and inside was a little hidden room with a bed that fit the whole room snugly.
"Huh?" Rainbow questioned
"Well I made this too, so you would have a place to hide or stay hidden. You know in case some pony came here to find you? That way you'd be safe and BONUS you'll never have to worry about falling out of bed. Also I got you this he said pulling a box wrapped in white warping paper and a pink bow hoofing it over to her gently.
"What's this?" Rainbow asked confused
"Well your birthdays tomorrow isn't it? Silly forget you own birthday?" He asked, Rainbows eyes teared up. Some pony remembers, some pony cares! Rainbow thought. He jumped up and wrapped her hooves around him and gave him a pec on the cheek. He blushed and Rainbow Dash giggled.
The room now had a small cloud table and two chairs, the other walls were basically lined with shelves or cabinets. she could store stuff with the exception of the stairs, the room was simple.
"Oh and my Mom helped me get these coupons, and a list off all the stuff you can bye with them, but they only work at the One Bit Store.
Rainbow smiled she hugged them tightly. "Thank you!"
For what felt like the hundredth time Soarin blushed. "Y-your welcome." he said
They went to the one bit store and got groceries and plates ect. as well as lights to light her new home. While their Soarin showed Ranibow Dash how to use her coupons, and that when the cash register went to a negative balance that she could get a rewards card and use it as store credit! Witch Rainbow was more than happy to hear! With it Rainbow got herself some new crayons and pencils as well as a new note and coloring book! And most importantly a blanket! she got a $25 bit credit and spent $18 on school, blankets and lights she still had 7 bits left for emergencies in the future. Soarin helped her carry everything to her new home, but as they got their Soarin's Mom was trotting up to the school.
"I gotta go, Rainbow, but I'll see you tomorrow!" Saorin called
Rainbow smiled. "Bye"
"Bye." Soarin called back before going up to meet his mother.

Hi everyone! Sorry this chappie took so long! I didn't even start it until a little earlier, luckily I was able to knock it out pretty fast. Once again I'm so, so, so sorry for the wait. I just want to let you know if you all are waiting for the next chappie, and it's taking to long message me! I'll see what I can do to speed up the process! The grammar is probably horrible,......oh well. I'll prob fix it later anyways hope you enjoy! Please leave a comment!

A few days later............
Rainbow woke up. She stretched and yawned. A grin quickly spread on her face, just like it did every morning when she remember she had escaped. And that her Father and Firefly have yet to find her. She sat up and felt for her flash light/ lantern, she found it and clicked it on while shielding her eyes from the light.
She parted the clouds and stepped into her kitchen. She grabbed her light and sat it next to the other one on her simple cloud table. She loved these lights because they could be a lantern or a flash light it stood up straight and if you pushed the button once it turned into a flashlight turn it off and on again and the whole body of it will light up like a lantern. And they were really bright and brightened up the entire room.
She went over to her snow cloud she reached inside and shuffled the contents, around until she felt the milk. She pulled out the jug and sat it on the table. She looked to her left and grabbed the oats cereal and a bowl. After breakfast she trotted up the stairs and once outside, she dumped the leftover milk out and used a small peace of cloud to wash it out. She sat it in the sun to dry.
Rainbow Dash reached up into the trees branches and pulled a hidden rain cloud down. She gave it a hard kick and rain started coming down in a steady beat. After a quick warm shower, she kicked the cloud back up into its hiding place and shook herself dry. She brought her dishes back inside and picked up her brush she brushed her mane/ tail before going back outside to brush her teeth.
Then her ears pricked up at the sound of the school bell. She grabbed her new saddle bag and slung it over her shoulder and flew to the school leaving a Rainbow trail in her wake. Even now Rainbow was no longer as bony with her ribs showing or constantly crashing into things because of injured wings or lack of energy. Instead she was turning into a very nice young mare, with a sleek coat, strong wings and a determined attitude! Nothing could knock her down, not now! Not after everything she's been through nog again and not ever! The way Rainbow Dash looked at it, was not that it would happen! But if it did, their was always a bright side. Because when you hit rock bottom theirs only one place left to go! And that's up into the sky, because the skies the limit!
Her coat and wings were so much softer and healthier. She looked like a whole different pony, and she liked it, she liked it a lot! Rainbow was now 6 years old, and she stayed in constant contact with her little brother comet streak. And today was the day! Her and Soarin would be performing in front of the Wonderbolts captain himself, Rapid Fire!
Flashback.....
"Happy birthday toooo youuuuuu!" Were the only Echoes that could be heard from the school.
YAY! The class shouted, now waiting to receive their cupcake.
"Ok every pony lets thank Rainbow Dash for sharing her birthday with us every pony!" Mrs.windith said in a loud and clear voice to her class.
"Thank you! Happy Birthday Rainbow Dash!" All the fillies and colts yelled happily.
Rainbow dash had just won her first race, and got her cutie mark! But what really put the Icing on the cake was that it was her birthday! And best of all she had all her friends their with, and her favorite Stepmom Comet Blaze! And ware would the world be without her little brother Comet Streak! They both came. And with cupcakes for her and her class, and a present!
"Happy Birthdayyy Wwwainbowww!" Comet streak yelled giggling.
Rainbow Dash hugged him as he crawled in her lap and giggled. Rainbow snuggled him, while they both are their cupcakes. However it wasn't long after that he fell asleep in Rainbows lap. His mother took him and tucked him up gently into her wing.
"Hey um,.."
Rainbow turned her head towards Billy, Hoops and Dumbbell."
"Hey rainbow crash- dash, dash! sorry. We just wanted to say were sorry. Maybe you could show us how you did that neat trick!?!"
"Rainbow dash!?!" Mrs.Windith called.
Rainbow turned around to look at Mrs.Windith curiously.
"Rainbow I've been meaning to give this to you."
She said giving Rainbow Dash some forms, rainbow stared at them in utter confusion.
"These is a free spot into the pre teen Wonderbolts academy!"
"Awweeeeessssooommeeeeeee!!!!!" Rainbow yelled doing flips in the air.
"Now." Rainbow stopped dead it her tracks turning back to her full attention.
"Now, you have been a chosen by Rapid Fire himself,and! Mrs.Windith continued, before she lost Rainbow's attention do to more flips and loops. You have to pass an addition to see if your good enough. They will come to the school to see you perform. Here at the school in 8 weeks! Rainbow Dash's wings snapped shut, as she fell landing on all fours nervously.
"Oh come on! I'm positive you'll do fine. You have always been the most determined pony I've ever met! Comet Blaze cut in with little Comet streak still nuzzled up into her wing dead asleep.
"Besides maybe our gift will help to motivate you." Comet Blaze continued
She handed her a box, but it turned out to be a large book wrapped in cyan blue tissue paper. Rainbow Dash ripped open the paper and turned the page of her new scrap book. Rainbow smiled softly at the photo of her and her 3 year old little brother. Rainbow flipped through the pages, and was only half was through, when she saw a letter in the scrap book the first line read;
' Dear Rainbow Dash, the sweetest little filly that I couldn't be happier to call my step daughter." Rainbow didn't even finish the letter she jumped up and hugged her mother tears threatening to fall from her face Comet Blaze hugged her back!
"I love you my little Rainbow Dash." Comet Blaze said,
"I love you too!" Rainbow said.
Rainbow turned her head back and smiling, at Soarin.
"Hey Rainbow Dash! he said grinning. Did you open my present yet?
"No, but I have it with me. I was saving it for my birthday."
Rainbow pulled it out of he saddle bags
"Well it's your birthday now, is t it?" Soarin said
Rainbow opened it it was a pair of flight goggles. It had Rainbow Dash's name embroidered in rainbow letters along the strap, and it was signed by Rapid Fire himself on the side of the goggles. Rainbow sat their in disbelief she looked at him, and he grinned back!
"I knew that was the perfect present. Soarin said Rainbow Dash hugged him as tight as she could, and comet Blaze snapped a picture.
Evey pony laughed when they saw Rainbow Dash and Soarin had froze, their eyes the size of dinner plated and blushing deeply.
"Okay every pony!" Mrs.Windith said getting every ponies attention. "Today will be a free day, you all have been working very hard and we do have a birthday today don't we?" She said smiling at Rainbow Dash.
YAY! They cheered.
"Bye sweetie, I'm sorry but I have to go its comet streaks nap time"
Rainbow looked at the sleeping colt and smiled.
"Yeah, I can tell." She said grinning
Comet Blaze chuckled and smiled "Okay bye!"
'Bye!" Rainbow Dash repeated waving as she trotted out the door.
"Okay every pony go out and have fun, but don't go out of the play ground area!" she said
"All the foals darted outside cheering and laughing, as they made their way to the play ground equipment."
"Are'nt you two going to go and play?" Mrs.Windith asked after realizing Rainbow Dash and Soarin were still here.
"Umm, no, I think I'll fill out my forms for the pre teen wonderbolts academy." Rainbow grinned
"That sounds like a plan have fun, and happy birthday Rainbow Dash!" Mrs.Windith said trotting away.
"Wow, that's really great! You get the chance to be a WONDERBOLT!! Soarin cheered, "I'm so happy for you! Your such a good flier!" Soarin congratulated.
Rainbow smiled, "thanks soar, but stopped as soon as she realized something. They wouldn't be wonderbolts together, and Soarin would probably wouldn't ever make the cut to be one..................
"Rainbow hello? Equestria to Rainbow Dash?" Soarin called
Rainbow shook her head. "Huh?"
"You kinda spaced out, you okay?"
"Huh? Yeah of course I am! I just thought of something"
"Thought of wha-" NOTHING!" Rainbow interrupted.
Rainbow looked at Soarin him clearly knowing something was up, she had to think fast!
"Oh um, sorry just just really excited! um, why don't you pick out a game. while I fill out my forms and get them sent! I'll join you in a minute.
"Alright" Soarin said smiling.
Rainbow quickly trotted up to her desk and pulled out a pencil, she filled out the forms then Rainbow flipped it over
'Dear Captain Rapid Fire of the Wonder-bolts,
Sorry to bother you but I have a little favor to ask.'
After forms are finished:
Rainbow zipped outside leaving nothing but a rainbow trail, eager to find Soarin. She knew what she had to do. Rainbow Dash snapped into reality and slamed on the breaks stopping mere inches before colliding into Soarin.
"Whoa Rainbow, I know your excited, but hold up! Your going to get one of us if not both of us killed!" He joked
Rainbow laughed "yeah... Excited." She said, before shaking her head while receiving a worried look from Soarin.
"Okay? What do you say we train for my upcoming audition, instead of playing a game?! We need all the practice we can get, and I want you to preform with me!" Rainbow said an idea hatching in her head.
"What!?! But Rainbow Dash I'm a horrible flier! I'll just drag you down!" Soarin said sadly.
"Staying and sulking down here you will, now come on! If I were in your horse shoes do you really think I'd be giving up already?"
Soarin sighed knowing the answer all to well. "No" He said a smile making its way onto his face. This is going to be difficult, Soarin thought.
"Come on! let's start with 25 no 50 wing ups!"
"Wait what!?!? 50 wing ups!?!?"
"Relax Soarin you'll get their, but you have to push yourself and you can't give in! Come on Soarin, just do your best and I'll be proud. Because weather you like it or not, your training and I don't care what you say!"
Soarin Sighed and shakes his head while smiling. "Alright," he replied.
"Good answer! I thought I was going to have to beat that out of you," she joked.
Soarin gulped not knowing it was sarcasm. Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes once she saw the scared expression on his face, and face hoofed.

"Really!?!? But that wasn't any ware as hard as before! When I did them with out you standing on my back!?"
"Yes, because I pushed you, I stood on your back so you could improve your strength. after you got that down, its easy to do the basics! Example wing ups, you can improve a lot easier now by yourself because you can do them without struggling.
"Wow! Thanks, I didn't even think about that. Nor how much this would help me improve-"
"Yes Soarin, I know." Rainbow interrupted.
"How?'
"Because every pony who knows you knows all your thoughts are based on pie." She said bluntly
"How did you know what I was thinking!?!? Are you some kind of mind reader!?!?" Soarin panicked!
"Oh good grief for the love of Pete," Rainbow Dash said face hoofing.
Week three:
"How you doing on those laps Soarin?"
"Good! I'm on my 25th the lap"
Impressive! At this rat you'll end up being faster than me
Oh um, no, I don't think so I'll never be as good as you rainbow dash!
Rainbow smiled thanks for the complement soar, but I'm not so sure! she called with a smile

End flashback
Okay rainbow dash, relax everything's fine. He's ready and captain Rapid Fire of the Wonderbolts will be watching. It's not a big deal! Only it is a big deal, if something goes wrong! Then, this is bad!" Rainbow said pacing the classroom.
Mrs,Windith trotted up to her Soarin in tow looking just as nervous. "Come on I haven't seen your routine but both of you have really improved and worked hard! I'm sure it'll be great!"
"Yeah, as long as the world doesn't come falling down!" Rainbow yelled
"Yeah! What she said!" Soarin said looking as if he was about to pass out from nerves."
"Oh come on! It's now or never, and he'll be here in... Oh goodness it's time! Come on, we all need to get ready!" She said pushing them out the door.
"In this together?" Rainbow said
"In this to together." Soarin said "and... If we mess up?"
"Doesn't matter, as long as we did our best, ever pony will be proud anyway!" they said in unison both smiling in relief.
They trotted outside.
"Soarin!" Soarin turned his head to see his parents coming.
"Oh no, not this again. He said feeling his confidence deflate."
"Honey are you sure you want to go through with this? I mean honey you could get hurt! And your not the strongest flier!" She said the last part slowly not sure if that's something she should have said.
Soarin took a deep breath "yes mom! And your wrong, my flying has really improved over the last few weeks!"
His mom looked at her husband with pleading eyes, her husband understood but he played it no heed instead said,
"Go gett'em tiger! Do your best! Show us what you got, so I can finally prove to your mother that this is what you truly want! His father told him with a smile.
"R-really?!? Thanks dad! You'll see this show is going to be amazing!"
"Ready?" Rainbow Dash said trotting up to them.
"Heck, yea! I'm not nervous anymore, look out Equestria here comes Soarin!" He said galloping off and preparing, with some warm ups.
Rainbow grinned, "hey wait for me!" Rainbow said zipping after him, leaving nothing but a rainbow colored trail behind her.
"Whoa, she's fast!" Soarin's mother and father said in unison.
"Yea, and theirs another reason you mustn't worry! She's obviously Rainbow Dash, the little filly who was training Soarin. And you shouldn't say things about his flying! That will lower his self esteem!"He said sharply with an accusing tone.
"I know I regret saying it! He has my support, but I don't want him getting hurt! Who knows what could happen!"
"Only time will tell, and soon at that" He replied to his wife
"Alright, Soarin and Rainbow Dash, I presume." Rapid Fire said through a mike.
"Yes sir!" Rainbow Dash said in her best military voice while in a salute position.
Rapid Fire chuckled, "okay then solders, show me what your made of!"
Rainbow dash and Soarin then took off at break necking speeds! Every ponies jaw dropped, when they split up and started circling the clouds causing the clouds to spin, to the point to ware they started shooting lightning!
Soarin's parents ran to Soarin has he glided to the ground. "Soarin that was truly amazing!" His parents said in unison
"So,so I'm not a weak flier?" Soarin asked looking down scuffing his hoof against the clouds surface.
His mother looked at him guiltily. "Honey no, of course not I'm- I was just worried about you getting hurt. I never let you really learn how to fly dispute how much you tried to sneak past. But that was no excuse. I'm sorry and if you really want to peruse flying. Then that's alright with me! Your, your own pony after all. Your not going to stay small forever. Your going to have to grow up sometime and I support that I fully! I except that now. I'm so sorry honey! I didn't relies, how much this was bothering you."
"I'm sorry too." Soarin said as his mom picked him up into a group hug, his father joining in as well.
Rainbow who was watching the scene after talking and getting the approval letter for the preteen flight academy, thought it was time for her little surprise!
"Hey soarin! Look I got approved! look at my name!" Rainbow said handing him the form of approval.
"Wow, Rainbow congrats! I'm happy for you! Wait, what!?!? This had my name?!?"
"Yes soarin, In all the time I met you, you had the same determined and caring heart, and wonderbolt spirit! That is something not too many ponies have anymore! Being a wonderbolt isn't just about flying but about looking out for others and setting an example. As well to inspire young colts and fillies to do great things, to know that the skies are the litmit. That they can do anything, if they truly put their mind to it! Weather it be for your family, friends, team or who knows. Maybe just a little random filly or colt who needs help. Soarin even with your poor flying, you weren't going to give up! Because you thought you were helping me! You were doing that as a friend. You didn't care who made fun of you or laughed when you crash landed, you got right back up and tried again! No matter what happens weather you become a wonderbolt or not. Let me be the first to tell you are truly a wonderbolt at heart.
"Couldn't have said it better myself." Rapid Fire said trotting up.
"RAPIDFIRE!! Rainbow Dash said I surprise and excitement fighting back the urge to jump up and down.
He smiled, Rainbow Dash in all my career, you are the only pony I've met who truly knows what it means to be a wonderbolt at heart! I look forward to flying with you and having you and the team Someday, both of you, Soarin with the scholarship Rainbow Dash has so generously given to you, school will only cost the price of your dorm room or extra activities. If you continue to get more scholarships which I can tell you will most likely have no problem doing it will continue to be free, but you need to get scholarships. Not only does it improve your chances of getting into the bolts and graduating, but the school normally costs hundreds of thousands a year! So it's a school only for the best! It's a boarding school too, so you'll have to move into a dorm but do you think your up to the challenge?
Soarin looked at his parents."Don't worry about us, this is your choice, son. Never will we stop you again, if flying is what you really want to do!"
"Really!" Soarin said
"Really!" His mother replied smiling. "But only if you can get the scholarships we may not be able to afford it otherwise.
"Just you wait and see! I will! But I'll see my parents though right?" He asked
"Well on the weekends you can come home. We even have escort that can take you home if your parents can't get you. Same thing when it comes to returning to the school. They can always come watch you practice or visit you after class and during your two hour lunch break.
"Two hour lunch break!?!" Soarin's father said
"Yes sir, Rapid replied flying is serious business! Every pony at the academy is pushed hard! Way past their limits. It's important to make sure their are enough breaks, and that they get proper rest. He'll be getting his wings massaged and checked daily too, but those are required!
'Mom, Dad? Can I?"
His mother bit her lip and sighed, she smiles "yes Soarin."
"YES!!" Rainbow Dash and Soarin cheered.
"I need you signature then it'll be official"
Rapid said handing the form to his parents who signed it.
"He starts next Monday, an escort will come to pick him and his things up, you all are welcome to accompany him and help him get acquainted to his roommate setting up his dorm.
"Thank you!" Soarin said excited
"Your welcome, see you soon!"
Rapid Fire trotted away.
" I'm so excited!" Soarin yelled but the realization sunk in,
"Wait.... Will I ever see you again?" Soarin asked Rainbow Dash
"Oh! Well we could always write! And you could come visit me on you breaks!
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, totally! Just don't forget about me when you become the next best celebrity!"
"Forget, you!?!? No way! Your my best friend! I'd never forget you!"
Soarin said as the hugged each other tightly!
"Goodbye Soarin I'm going to miss you." Rainbow Dash said
"Goodbye Rainbow Dash I'm going to miss you too." Soarin said

Hey everyone! Sorry this chapter took so long! I had to go to the hospital for an appointment, and then I went to the beach for a few days, and when I did do it and got to the editing..... I got kicked off....SEVERAL TIMES, so I had to reedit this three times!!!! So sorry for the wait. Hopefully it was worth it! Please leave a comment about what you think Rainbow Dash will do next!

Wonderbolts Academy
"Soarin are you done packing?" His mother asked, trotting into his room her husband in tow.
"I don't know! What if I missed or forgot something?!" He said spinning looking all around the room. "I'm so nervous!"
"honey you'll do fine!"
"what if I'm not good enough? what if I mess up and look like an idiot?! What if-"
"Now stop right their young colt!" His father interrupted. "I'm sure every pony is always nervous on the first day, besides no pony is going to judge you the first day. They are always the hardest, so calm down. Change can be good or bad, but what matters is what you make of it. And that you'll always do your best. and go in with a good attitude! "No matter what ponies throw at you."
"You sure?" Soarin questioned
His father he chuckled
" I'm sure Soarin, and besides if you decide that you forgot something, or need us to come get you. We are only one call away."
"That's right honey. His mother interrupted. And we have to get going the carriage will be here any minute-" 'Ding Dong' "I-oh it's here! Come on sweetie, you'll do fine." She said as she helped her husband gather Soarin's things.
"But what if-"
"No buts!" His mother cut him off.
"Your mothers right, Soarin. Don't worry. Besides we will be staying with you until your dorms set up and you can call us on the Phone every night when you go to bed. And we will be here waiting for your call every night." he said putting a hoof on his sons shoulder and guiding him to the door.
"Promise?" Soarin asked
"Promise." His father said giving him a nuzzle.
"Ok..... Then what are we waiting for!?" He asked now excited. He darting out the door and into the carriage.
"Hold up honey! Be carful! his mother warned.
His parents trotted out side and handed Soarin's bags to the driver. Then they stepped inside after the driver loaded Soarin's bags into the back. He hooked himself up to his Harness he started pulling before unferling his wings and taking to the skies. The ride was short only about 15 minutes. It wasn't long before they pulled into the academy."
"Oh I'm so nervous." Soarin said
"welldontbe!" A white pony with a poofy mane said popping infront of Soarin out of no ware.
"Aaaaaaahhhhhhh" Soarin yelled
"Hi I'm surprise! Oh new friends! I'm so excited to meet you! Hi stranger! What's you name?" She said talking so fast it was making Soarin dizzy.
"Um soarin?'
"Yay! Nice to meet you Soarin!" She said grabbing his hoof and shaking it so much it pulled his body of the ground and shook along with it.
"Come on we need to check our name on the list and go set up our dorms!" She said suddenly. Finally releasing Soarin and zipping off to the building. Soarin cautiously looked at his hoof.
"Ouch." He winced as his hoof visibly pulsed.
"Come on Soarin." His mother said leading him towards the building.
"Soarin heard laughter behind him as a colt trotted up to them.
"Hey your hoof okay? That's Surprise for ya, your new aren't you?"
He said handing an ice pack to Soarin to put on his hoof.
"Yea, is it that obvious? Soarin asked
The colt laughed. "Well for one you look more Nervous than my brother when it's time to get a shot. Two if you've been here before I would have recognized you. I've been here for the past three years. And third of all, well you saw surprise, I mean don't get me wrong she's always hyper crazy. But she goes, well, you saw it. When she met you, but don't worry you'll get used to her antics. Although scents your new, you should know things always get a little bizarre around here."
"What do you mean?" Soarin asked
"The colt grinned. You'll see we tend to do things differently around here."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Soarin questioned once again.
"The colt smiled mischievously. Anyways you signed in yet? get you schedule?
"Oh um no, I don't think so."
"Alright then, the parents need to go to the front office." He said pointing a hoof. "They'll give you all the information they need about the school, and I'll take you to get signed in get your scedual and testing progress reports set up."
"Really?" Soarin asked, surprised to have already made a friend.
"Sure no problem. I've don't it for what feels like a thousand times. How about we meet your parents back at the dorm?"
"Ok!" Soarin agreed, Mom, Dad that ok with you?"
"Oh, um. Sure honey." His mom replied.
"They'll give you his dorm room number inside." The colt said
"Oh, ok." Soarin's mother said hesitantly
"What is your name?" Soarin asked
"Oh me? I'm lightning Clash."
"Cool name!" Soarin commented
"Thanks and you are?"
"Soarin", Soarin replied happy to make a friend
They began trotting off, they went through a pair of doors, and up to a desk.
"Hello we're here to sign in." lightning said
A mare looked down and smiled.
"Oh hello sweetie, is this your first year?"
"Oh, um, Soarin nodded. Suddenly feeling very nervous.
lightning smiled "This is Soarin."
"Soarin." The mare repeated. "Soarin," she said again as she started going through the files. "Ah ha, Soarin. Here you go! This is your scedual and here's a map of the school so you don't get lost. I highlighted your dorm and it says here your dorm partner is lighting clash."
Soarin smiled "Thank you." he said
"Have a good day! Their doing testing as we speak, hurry, don't want to be late on the first day!"
"Oh, ok, thank you." Soarin said nervously.
Come on! You'll do fine, you'll see! lightning encouraged
They trotted up to an obstacle course as the coach cleared his throat.
"Now every pony. None of you are expected to make it through this obstacle course, but you are expected to try and to be able to hover for at least five minutes. is that clear!?"
"yes sir!" every pony shouted.
Soarin bit his lip. But relaxed when he saw the obstacle course. It had several cloud loops and poles to weave through, but what excited him was the moving rings. This caused Soarin to get a determined look on his face. Rainbow had taught him how to do this without even clipping a single feather!
Soarin's parents trotted up. just in time to see a young filly start to go through the obstacle course, only to clip her wing on the first ring and tumble until she crashed into a pole.
"Alright next up Soarin and lightning Clash." They stepped up to the staring line.
"We can't let him do this! Soarins mother said, after seeing the filly crash on the advanced obstacle course. "This is far to advanced for any foal their age!", she said franticly.
"On your marks! get set! GO!"
Soarin and lightning took off staying parallel with each other, as they weaved through the poles and rings and hoops flawlessly. Before sticking a landing. The crowd broke into applause Soarin's parents sat their jaw dropping to the floor. Soarin was grinning ear to ear. The coach trotted up to him as well as Soarin's parents.
"Kid that was good, real good. Why don't you two go get started on your daily health screening and hit the mess hall early? After that you can start exploring the school and setting up your dorms. Your something special kid." he said patting Soarin on the back.
"Soarin, honey that was amazing!"
"Really you liked it?" Soarin asked shocked at his mothers reaction.
"Yes!" his father said "That was truly amazing!"
"Oh Soarin, I'm so sorry, I tried to keep you from flying! his mother said
"Yeah that was pretty good." lighting clash cut in. "No pony has ever been fast to keep up with me before! Finally it'll be fun to have some competition, anyways, come on let's hit the mess hall! I'm starving!" He said trotting away towards the mess hall, Soarin and his parents following suit. All with happy smiles on their face.

"Today, I have decided we will have a fun day because all of our work is just review! And we are one of the very few schools to have been able to impress the captain of the Wonderbolts!"

Everypony stopped dead in their tracks, full attention on her.
"After the review" she said simply, making her way to her desk.
"Aaaaawwwwww!" every pony said sadly as they all quietly trotted back to there desk.
Rainbow Dash quickly lost interest in what Miss.Windith had to say, as always, instead she got lost in her thoughts. She was still really depressed. She hadn't gotten a letter from Soarin in 3 weeks so she decided to send one. Still no reply. The bullies have become unbearable! All the constant names, fights, hitting and embarrassment! Rainbow Dash was finally getting tired of it. They were relentless! Billy, Hoops and Dumbbell were the biggest jerks in the history of Equestria! Rainbow was this close to loosing her cool!
"Rainbow Dash?"
Rainbow snapped back to reality. Miss.Windith was next to her and had a hoof on her shoulder.
"Don't you want to go and play outside?" She asked
Rainbow turned her head to study the classroom. She came to the conclusion that it was empty.
"Oh, um, yeah" she said nervously. She got up and trotted outside.
Miss.Windith sighed and looked at her sadly. It was always just her and Soarin. They were always inseparable. Rainbow Dash trotted outside and was outraged by what she saw! Rainbow Dash's blood began to boil when she saw Billy Hoops and Dumbbell bulling Fluttershy. The pair weren't really close but they considered each other a mutual friend. Rainbow Dash was getting pretty sick and tired of these bullies picking on every pony! She zipped right up into the air and shot over and landed straight down right in front of her.
"leave her alone!" Rainbow Dash yelled
"Or what Rainbow Crash? What are you going to do? Huh! Steal our routine again?!?!?
"What are you talking about?!"
"You know very well what I'm talking about!" Billy yelled
A crowd started to gather.
You stole our routine! You stayed after school and followed us! You were watching us practice and stole our routine! just admit it!"
"What!? No, I didn't you liar! I came up with that routine!
"No you didn't!"
"Prove it then!" Rainbow retorted
Billy hoops and Dumbell suddenly looked really nervous.
"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" Rainbow said innocently.
"Oooooohhhhhhh!" the crowd said
They gulped. "Oh, um, no,? score said
"Yeah what he said!" Hoops agreed
We'll show you our routine! Then every pony will see what a fake, lousy flier you really are!"
"Prove it!" Rainbow spat.
While fighting back the tears. She had become good at this over the years. And as soon as she was alone she'd break and let the tears fall. The jerks flight team went well in Rainbow's book. They did really flimsy loops, almost got winded at least a dozen times! And on top of that, it was horrible! It was nothing like the original routine.
"That was truly horrible," Rainbow Dash said simply.
All the other foals broke into laughter.
Billy, hoops and dumbbell glared at her.
"You'll pay for this!" billy said,
before they turned and fled from the embarrassment they caused themselves.
"Alright that's enough!" Rainbow Dash said,
"Aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww" the other foals replied as all the Pegasus colts and fillies began to make their way back to their games.
Rainbow Dash turned and offered a hoof to Fluttershy. "You ok?"
"Oh, um, yes thank you," she said barely above a whisper. "You shouldn't have done that though." She continued.
"What are you talking about! They were picking on you!"
"Yes but you made them angry. Theirs no telling what they'll do to you now."
"Yeah well, you leave the worrying about me to me k?"
"If that's what you want Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy said nervously.
Rainbow Dash sighed, "Relax Fluttershy it'll be fine."
They started hanging out over the next several weeks and became good friends! The bullies however continued to become sworn enemies. Then something unexpected happens. A new encounter! Write a comment to see what you think will happen next!

"Gah! What are we going to do!?" Firefly asked. That little bitch is going to tell sooner or later,!" said a very drunk Firefly.
"I know don't worry. We'll figure something out, besides I know some ponies who will be able to find the little Rainbow shit." Spectrum Blaze spat at the mention of his daughter.
"You better! Our reputations are loosing their support because of her going around and telling everypony were alcoholics and all these other hideous lies!"
"Well, you kinda have been going around mocking everypony drunk out of your mind. When that happens ponies notice." Spectrum said bluntly.
"Are you trying to blame this all on me!?!?"
"No, I've probably done it several times myself I have no idea. BUT I do know some pony who can help us find her and will always have our back something no matter our reputation!"
"Good and make it snappy! I'm tired of that little peace of trash and want to get rid of it!
"Wwwwhhhhhaaaaaaa" a newborn colt cried from upstairs
"Ugh! That stupid foal, get rid of that too while your at it!"
"Ugh, just go up their and feed the damn thing."
"No! You do it your foal. I don't care nor do I want to be bothered."
"Have you even fed it scence we left the hospital?"
"No, and I don't give a crap. I having fed it sense we left the hospital! And if it can wait three days like it already has, than it can wait a little longer!" Firefly snapped
"Fine....." Spectrum Blaze said as he picked up the phone. I'm just going to call a friend of mine and see what info he has the Rainbow abomination.
'Ring, ring'
"Hello?"
"Yes, hello Stormy I'm ready to cash in that favor."
"Oh, okay, What do you need?" Came stormiest reply
"What Information can you give me on the whereabouts of some pony by the name of Rainbow Dash?" He asked
"Your daughter?"
"Yes," Spectrum replied growing annoyed.
"Okay, hold on."
"Alright got it! She's in her second year of high school. Age 16, um her emergency card recorded for the schools information website I hacked into......Doesn't say to much else other than a mention about some pony by the name of Comet Blaze."
"Comet Blaze?" Spectrum repeated
"Yes that's what it says." Stormy replied with a sigh
"Mmmhhh seems familiar but I can't place a hoof on it. Who is she?"
"Already ahead of you! It says here she is a mare 37 years of age has a- Um Spectrum Blaze? "Are you aware you have a son?"
"What are you talking about? I don't have a son!"
"Well according to this, you do. His name is Comet Streak and man he's a spitting image of his mother. He has a red coat and a orangish yellow mane and magenta eyes."
"Yes that does sound familiar. What else?"
"Um it says here he is 13 years old of age.
"Yes that sounds about right." Rainbow's father said
"Anyways, he's in 7th grade and goes to high wind middle.
"Okay, is their any way to contact Comet Blaze? I do believe we have some unfinished business involving our son." Spectrum replied with a smirk a plan of revenge for his daughter already forming in his head!
"Ok I'll fax over the contact info. It should arrive in a few moments."
"Thank you."
"No prob I owed you." Stormy said on the other line as he picked up his coffee mug and took a sip. The wroting on the cup said ' I love to be evil'.
"yes, yes, whatever bye!"
"Hello Comet Blaze speaking" Comet Blaze said with a smile picking up the phone as she finished washing the dishes.
"Hello comet Blaze. I called because I do believe we have some unfinished business to discuss about our son." Spectrum inquired a evil smile growing on his face.
"Huh??! You stay away from my son!"
"Your son? Ha funny, see I just learned that he was my son also! What a small world it is now and days, huh? But I'm guessing by your reaction you knew I was his father." He said innocently
"Stay away from my son because if you dare-"
"Hahahah" spectrum laughed
"What do you want!?" Comet blaze hissed venom evident in her voice.
"Oh nothing, just for you to tell my ware Rainbow Dash is-"
"Never and if you ever hurt her of my son again I'll-"
"You'll what? I don't know if you've noticed but I'm growing quite impatient! This is your last chance to tell me ware she is!"
"Never and don't you call herd again or I'm calling the police!"
Fine I doesn't matter anyways, but you just wait, because I'm comming Blaze, I can promise you that!"
"Get out!" Comet Blaze said slamming the phone and trying to recover from her panic attack.
Okay, it's okay. Comet and Rainbow are safe at school! I'll call Rainbow Dash and tell her to be careful.
"Come on, let's go!" Firefly said impatiently looking out the carriage window at the middle school.
"Hold on honey! All good things come to those who wait." Spectrum told his wife grinning.
The bell rang.
'ring, ring'
"Now go go!!" He said as
An unsuspecting Comet streak was Passing the carriage on the side of the school heading to his next class.
Firefly and Spectrum Blitz lunged out and grabbed him. Covering his mouth and dragging him into that carriage and zipping off towards their isolated cloud mansion.
"Mmmmmmnnnnnaaagghn!!" Comet tried to scream, thrashing and hitting trying to pull loose.
"Shut up you little-" Firefly was interrupted as Comet was able to break one of his hooves free enough to punch her straight in the nose,
and wiggle almost free. Firefly released him and clutched her nose, before a strong pair of hooves slammed Comet onto the floor of the moving carriage!
"You'll pay for that you little shit! Thee pony who Comet had yet to discover was his father yelled, before he......................

Comets day with dad
"Idiot!" Spectrum yelled in Comet Streak's face. He punched him in the temple knocking him to the floor, unconscious.
Comet streak woke up hearing a loud ringing sound. He lazily opened his eyes."Ugh," he groaned. Comet Streak sat up shaking the dizziness out of his head. He instantly snapped back to his senses after recalling the recent events.
"I've been kidnapped! I need to get out of here!"
"Oh, your not going any ware anytime soon!" Spectrum said looking amused, he flashed a glance at his wife.
"Wha-what who are you?! What do you want with me!?" Comet Streak stammered
"Ha ha, oh it's not you son . I'm simply getting revenge on my daughter. You however are simply stuck in the middle. And you will pay for how you treated your step mother!" Spectrum said his amused smile instantly darkening into a death glare.
"Son!? Stepmother!?" Comet said now panicking, his thoughts swimming in his head like goldfish.
"Yes you little- I mean, yes honey I'm your stepmother." Firefly said in a sickening sweet voice that was filled with pure venom.
Comet saw the door and made a bolt.
Firefly pounced forward and grabbed him! Pushing him back and slamming his head into the edge of the coffee table, all done in once swift motion.
"You have some nerve trying to pull a stunt like that!", Firefly spat. She punched poor Comet in the stomach and kicked him to the floor.
"Help." Comet thought not even having the energy to do so much as whisper. His eyes only half open as eye lids suddenly started feeling heavy. All his sences were plunged into blackness. All he could feel were sharp dulling pains bruising his body. As Firefly continued to beat him until the ringing in his head became unbearable. His vision went blurry and he lost consciousness.
"Wwwwwwhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaawwwwwhhhhhhhaaaaa!" a baby shrieked,
"Ugh." Comet Streak muttered in a very quite voice.
"Ugh that's it! I want that stupid smelly thing gone!" He heard Firefly's voice boom.
"What!?"
"You heard me! Get rid of it! Kill it for all I care!"
"Alright! I'll go drop him off in some dumpster down town."
"Good! I'll go down to the wine and liquors store and get some more hard cider."
Door slams shut
"Nnn no!" Comet said forcing himself up. His head swimming with pain. He let his head fall and lay on the cool table. Comet blinked his eyes hard trying to force them to clear. He saw what he hoped was a phone. But it was hard to tell for sure what the blurry image was or could be. He lifted his shaky hoof and did his best to make out the numbers as he began dialing. All Comet Streak could do is hope and prey to Celestia that he had dialed Rainbow's phone correctly.
Rainbow Dash burst into her old home slamming her body into the door forcing it to open. The police hot on her heels, with Comet's mother on the way. She ran inside. Her eyes instantly locking onto an unconscious Comet Streak laying on the floor, with an angry Firefly looming over him. She turned her head to Rainbow Dash and looked like she was ready to kill.
"You-" Firefly didn't even get a chance to finish her sentence. Rainbow was so angry that it only took one swing and Firefly was on the ground.
The police came up behind her. They pinned Firefly to the floor and cuffed her front hooves and wings behind her back, while medics and Rainbow Dash ran to Comet Streak.
"Comet!" "Comet?!" Rainbow Dash yelled desperately.
"The baby...." he mumbled.
Rainbow Dash seemed to be the only one who heard him.
"Oh no!" Rainbow Dash said jumping up onto her hooves.
"Is something wrong? Where are you going" A medic asked,
"Yes very wrong!" Rainbow dash yelled. "I'll be right back! Just take care of him! I have reason to believe that my Dad is out murdering a foal!" With that Rainbow Dash made her way though the crowds of cops and medics surrounding the home.
She flew as fast as she could down town leaving nothing but a rainbow train in her wake. The wind was pulling at her mane. The air the normally gentle wind was now harsh due to speed, causing here eyes to water and sting. This was normally a feeling she loved, but not today. Today was horrible! This wasn't some race or going at break necking speeds to practice some flying stunts. Now it was a race against time! life and death! A foal having a chance at life!
Rainbow Dash kept her eyes every where looking for a familiar periwinkle colored coat and rainbow mane. And any dumpsters that didn't have a lock on them. Most that had a lock were no longer being used or hadn't for several years. Finally Rainbow Dash's eyes locked onto her father. Or what was left of him sense he started drinking. He was leaving an ally. He zipped away and Rainbow quickly lost sight of him, not that she cared. She only got a glimpse of him but that was enough for her to tell he wasn't holding anything.
She zipped down into the ally, an ally she knew all to well. The dumpster by Pony Joe's. Rainbow Dash opened the dumpster and began tearing the trash bags open. Finally in the third one, she found a foal with a plastic bag wrapped around his head, and duct tape around his shoulders and chest. The tape was like a guard making sure no air got in! Rainbow Dash didn't even wast time trying to peel off the duck tape. Instead she ripped the top of the bag open, revealing a young foal with a rainbow mane. Quickly she dropped to the ground and began performing CPR on the what seemed to be a lifeless foal.
"Come on," Rainbow Dash said!
Stopping after a few pushes on his chest, before covering his nose and blowing into his mouth. Rainbow Dash repeated this process for what seemed like hours but was only about 3 minutes.
"No! Come on buddy! Come on! COME ON!!!! Rainbow Dash yelled, finally starting to loose hope.
She covered his nose and blew into his mouth for what would be the last time. Only for a true act of God, a miracle to take place! A little hoof came up and bumped the side of Rainbow Dash's mane. Rainbow Dash pulled back,
"Wwwwwhhhhhhaaaaaaa a, eh, eh, Wwwwwhhhhhhaaaaaaa a!" The colt cried Rainbow Dash burst into happy tears.
"Sssshhhhh, ssshhhhh. It's ok. Your ok now, don't worry your safe. I promise. Rainbow Dash said bouncing him gently.
She nuzzled him and he snuggled into her chest. He was very skinny, Rainbow Dash tried to use a hoof to rub the blood of his head, Rainbow thought originally that it was a large gash or open wound but was relived to find that it was just a scratch. It looked like It would need stitches but nothing that looked fatal. It simply looked like his head had been scratched on the edge of the dumpster. Rainbow Dash unheralded her wings and took off as fast as she could holding the foal safely into her chest heading back to the police and medics for help.
Tears of relief still streaming down her cheeks. It felt like eternity but Rainbow Dash finally made it back the medics patched up the foal and fed him. It turns out he didn't need stitches witch was a relief. Within the hour news reporters and police were all lined up for an interview with Rainbow Dash. Rainbow was informed that Comet Streak was ok and had been transferred to a hospital, and that his mother Comet Blaze was with him. That the foal was malnourished but otherwise would be fine with proper care and food. Rainbow Dash sighed in relief. The foal got a check up and was actually givin a name. Rainbow Dash named him Cloud Chaser. He had a baby blue coat with bright green eyes, and a rainbow mane.
"He will most likely be put into foster care. At least until the trial next week, and put up for adoption. No bail can get these two out of a cell now,"one of the officers told her. Rainbow Dash was silent, she took a deep breath.
"No!" she said. "I'm not going to let these two ruin another life like they did mine," Rainbow Dash said. "And I don't care what it takes! I'm not letting any pony take him! I'm 16 I'm old enough to get full custody!"
"If you want to fight to get custody.... you'd have to wait until trial. But by law if their is a caring family member who will care for him, they're entitled. I can tell you care, so if fighting for his custody is something your going to do. You can take him and care for him until the trial."
"Ok Rainbow said "I don't care what it takes! I will do this! For him! The officer smiled and helped Rainbow Dash write a statement she signed the papers. It was official. Cloud Chaser was now, officially in Rainbow Dash's care until the trial. Rainbow Dash went to the store and got him a Binky, food, a few toys and diapers.
You are not alone
Rainbow dash trotted up to the guest room of her old home. She layed on the bed holding the foal tight, not willing to let go. Rainbow Dash looked down and smiled and the foal who was sleeping soundly in her wing. She sighed feeling content.
"I'll never let them or any pony else have you without a fight! I promise," rainbow said.
She pulled the foal up to her chest, she nuzzled him.
"Mmmmnnnnnn," the colt mumbled in his sleep.
Opening his eyes slowly he let out a Yawn. Rainbow Dash reached over and picked up a baby bottle full of formula.
"You hungry little guy," rainbow cooed. "Yeah you need to gain that weight back, so you can grow big and strong," she continued.
I can't believe I'm talking like this to a foal! Rainbow Dash mentally yelled at herself. Never mind I don't care! I like it. She thought. She couldn't help the smile that was now, once again forming on her face.
"Your totally gonna grow up to be something awesome, Cloud Chaser. Your gonna make me so proud."
Rainbow Dash said as the colt began to suckle on the nipple of the bottle. Cloud Chaser drank his bottle and got a sudden look of drowsiness. Rainbow Dash laughed.
"Are you milk doped? Huh you milk doped," Rainbow cooed but couldn't help to stifle the laughter. Rainbow turned him onto his belly and draped him over her wing. His back was now up against Rainbow Dash's chest. His little Hoover were wraped over the top of Rainbow Dash's wing, and his little cheek snuggled up against Rainbow's soft feathers. Rainbow Dash snuggled him and very gently used her teeth to pull open cloud chasers little wing. Once both his little wings were relaxed and unfurled. Rainbow Dash gently grabbed each individual feather and twisted it into place. Each time she gently touched her muzzle to the colts wing soothingly. The colt quickly started drifting of to sleep when Rainbow began to sing.
"Hush now quiet now, its lay your sleepy head,
hush now, quiet now, it's time to go to bed.
Rainbow Dash sang. Rainbow Dash didn't even get to finish her sentence because she was interrupted by a soft snore. Rainbow smiled and looked down at the colt. She carfully wraped him in a blanket and layed him in the middle of the bed so he wouldn't fall off in his sleep.
"I'm so glad Dad and Firefly are going to jail. They're finally getting what they deserve, and I can finally stay in my own house and have it be someplace safe," Rainbow muttered to herself.
She trotted around the room making sure the windows and curtains were all secure, before quietly trotting out and shutting off the light. Rainbow knew that if she was really was going to take on this foal she was going to have to do more. She was going to have to prove she could be a good parent to the foal. That ment that their would have to be a lot of change so that she could get custody over poor little Cloud Chaser. And hopefully give him the home the poor foal so rightly deserves.
"I promise Cloud Chaser, I'll make sure you have a good life. One where you won't be alone, and I will do anything to make sure you have the life I used to have. When my mother was alive."
Rainbow Dash said feeling her heart swell with happiness, as she glanced back towards the direction of the foal.
"Cloud chaser, I don't care what it takes but you will never be alone on my watch. I love you..... Heh, never did I ever think I'd be saying those words again. It kinda felt nice," Rainbow said with a smile on her face.
Rainbow suddenly felt warm headed? It was weird but it felt good.
"My mind must be getting to me," she said as she trotted into the bathroom.
She was stunned to see her mane glowing in flames. Rainbow smiled, "my powers are back, now I can finally do what my mom always worked so hard to do! Learn to controls them," Rainbow Dash said with a soft smile.
The change
Rainbow dash awoke and the first thing she did was trot upstairs and check on Cloud Chaser who was thank goodness was asleep. Despite having woken up 7 times throughout the night to change, feed and sometimes just snuggle and comfort little Cloud Chaser so he didn't feel alone, Rainbow felt well rested. Rainbow Dash grabbed her saddle bags and trotted into the office. She sat Down in front of the computer.
"If I'm going to take care of Cloud Chaser, I would need to prove I'm responsible, and one place I can start is school. No more skipping class and getting into fights for me! Okay let's see what assignments I'm missing."
Rainbow Dash signed onto her V Portal account and pulled up her classes. "Okay let's start with math," Rainbow Dash said to herself. Just the thought made her feel board, but this was for Cloud Chaser! So she'd have to make due.
"Ok," Rainbow Rash said with a smirk. "Wow most of Mr. Squared's assignments are home work. He doesn't even put half of the class work in the grade book. Theirs only like 6-8 math assignments and most are online, and look pretty easy! Okay, today's homework is already posted, I'll start with that."
Rainbow Dash finished today's assinment pretty quickly. She was rather skilled at math, but that doesn't meat she particularly liked it. Rainbow Dash found all the steps and well, problems boring, she clicked send and sent it to the teacher.
Ding. 'Hellos you have mail!' Mr. Squares computer said, in the middle of class.
"Okay class please turn to page 845 in your text books, and begin your homework," he said trotting over to his computer and checking his Email. "What," He said in shock, as he scrolled down to look at Rainbow Dash's work. He was impressed to see that all of it was right, except for one problem. He was even more surprised to see her Email.
Dear Mr.Squared
Hey it's me, Rainbow Dash! Anyways I just wanted to let you know that I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused in your class. I promise that once this whole thing with my parents is sorted out, I won't ditch your class anymore. Ever. Now before you call me a hypocrite because I am not currently in class, please know that I have a good reason.
I'm sure you saw it on the news by now. The two parents who kidnapped 13 year old Comet Streak and practically starved their newborn. The truth is their my parents..... I'm sorry I'm not in class today but I have to be home to care for little Cloud Chaser. However I promise you, I won't use this as just another reason to do nothing except take care of a foal. I won't wast time at being neglectful to my other responsibilities. As of today I'll take school more seriously! That's a promise!

Mr.Squared just sat their and stared for a moment, completely shocked. He reread the Email a few times. Just to make sure he wasn't dreaming. "Huh," he said thinking, before he pulled up her email address and began to type a reply.
Dear Rainbow Dash,
I'm surprised! I never would have guessed you would suddenly become interested in your school work! I'm very glad at your change in attitude! I'm sorry to hear about your parents, I had no idea. I should have looked into it. I neglected to notice that their may have been a reason for your attitude. I'm very glad your turning yourself around, but you need to keep it up! You are more than welcome to stop by my class when ever you need to. My door is always open for students who need tutoring or to retake a test. As for Cloud Chaser I'm glad that you are looking into his best interests. The fact that your looking for a sitter proves you are really trying. Also I noticed your effort into your grammar. That you really put time and effort into writing it! Keep it up! I see a bright future for you!

Once Mr. Squared was satisfied with his letter he clicked send. He forwarded Rainbow Dash's email to her other teachers to let them know to keep an eye on her. Once that was done he turned his attention back to his students.
By the time rainbow dash received his Email, she had finished her math and started on her history. She was almost finished except for an essay. She had to do on how the a antidote to poison joke was discovered.
"Ugh! This is not going to be fun," Rainbow groaned.
"I think I'm just going to go take a little break, it's time to feed Cloud Chaser anyway."
Just then, as if right on Q ,Cloud Chaser started crying. The air was filled with an ear piercing cry. Rainbow Dash smiled and got up and trotted into the guest room, where she found him. He started to calm down once he saw her.
"Heya squirt, don't worry," Rainbow Dash said.
Her voice now getting gentle as the foal stopped crying.
"I wouldn't let anything happen to you. What do you say we get something to eat?" Rainbow dash said, as she used her wings to pick up the foal.
Cloud Chaser giggled and snuggled into her chest. Rainbow Dash smiled and trotted down stairs. Rainbow Dash mixed some formula and put in in the microwave. While it was heating she changed Cloud Chasers diaper. Once he was fed, Rainbow Dash made herself a Sandwich. She took it, along with Cloud Chaser upstairs and back into the office.
"Ugh! This is going to take forever!" Rainbow Dash said giving cloud chaser a nuzzle.
He giggled and smiled. Rainbow Dash leaned down and carefully placed him on the floor. Rainbow Dash began to plan her essay, as Cloud Chaser sat next to her on the floor. He was looking at the interesting objects in the room. Every once in a while Rainbow Dash would glance at Cloud Chaser to keep an eye on him.
Rainbow dash made her rubric and skimmed through a few websites.
Rainbow made the introduction, witch she found out that the hardest part was getting started. The rest went by pretty swiftly. She labeled her three paragraphs. She did one on the location of all the ingredients for poison joke. The second one was on all the symptoms of poison joke, and why they caused the reaction they had. The last one was how it was treated. Rainbow Dash typed fast and was surprised to find that it took a little under an hour to finish.
"Wow! I thought that was going to take a lot longer," Rainbow Dash said.
Rainbow Dash glanced at Cloud Chaser again, who was trying to reach her with his little hooves. Rainbow Dash leaned down and picked him up.
"You wanna snuggle?"Rainbow cooed "you want some attention huh, it's not fun sitting and playing all by yourself is it," Rainbow said in a baby tone.
The colt grinned.
"You are so cute!" Rainbow Dash commented.
The colt snuggled into her chest. Rainbow Dash felt her heart explode.
Rainbow Dash spent the rest of the day working on all her assignments. By the time she finished it was late, and Rainbow Dash was exhausted. Rainbow learned from last nights mistake and slept in the guest room with Cloud Chaser, but not before she moved all the diapers and formula into the guest room with her. It would be a lot easier to care for Cloud Chase with all the supplies right here with her, and she could hopefully get some sleep. Rainbow Dash's head had just hit the pillow, when her eyes shot open.
"Ugh, I need to call Comet Blaze, and see if she can watch Cloud Chaser tomorrow why I'm at school," she groaned. Rainbow Dash went down stairs and picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Comet Blaze? I know its late, but I have a favor to ask".............

She learns what it really means to be a parent, and is faced with many obstacles. Rainbow Dash has to figure out what she will do to support a growing foal! Financially and emotionally! What hard ships will she face? What will happen? Will she get and actual full time job?! Stay tuned!

Hey every pony! Sorry I know this chapter sucks! But I got so frustrated because it kept getting deleted! My iPad died, it wouldn't save, the site kept kicking me off! So anyways I'm so sorry but, I've gotten really frustrated with this! So please don't be angry at me for my grammar or for how terrible this chapter turned out. But if it really is horrible I guess I'll have to redo it! Honestly I'm so frustrated I feel like I might cry!
The First Day Back,
"Ugh," Rainbow Dash groaned, as the sun light from the first crack of dawn shone through the window onto her face. Rainbow Dash forced herself up. "I'm exhausted. Well on the bright side Coud only woke up 6 times last nigh,." Rainbow Dash yawned. Rainbow had dark circles under her eyes.
"Wwwwwwhhhhhhhhaaaaaaa wwwwwwhhhhhhaaaaa," Cloud Chaser screamed as he woke up.
"Oh celestia help me get some sleep tonight," Rainbow Dash preyed.
"Ok ok, Cloudy calm down. Your ok, your ok I promise."
The colt calmed down and looked at Rainbow Dash. He was teary eyed and his lip was quivering.
"Aaaaawwwwwwhhhhh, that is not a happy face," Rainbow Dash cooed. Rainbow took a hoof and gently wiped the tears away and stroked his cheek.
Rainbow Dash then rolled forward on the bed, pinning the foal up against the comforter she blew raspberries on his tummy.
The colt burst into a fit of laughter.
"See, now that's a happy face," Rainbow Dash said.
Rainbow dash bent down and grabbed a diaper from the drawer. Then Rainbow undid the straps on the diaper cloud chaser was wearing. She carefully grabbed both his hind legs together in one hoof, and lifted his hind quarters up. Rainbow then proceeded by pulled the diper out from under him and replaced it with a new one. Once he was clean Rainbow Dash put on the baby powder. Rainbow Dash pulled the top up between his legs and secured the straps.
"Their all better. Isn't it nice to be clean," Rainbow said.
Now looking at the little colt she smiled. He was sucking on his hoof and grinning. Rainbow Dash pulled his hoof out of his mouth, and he giggled. Rainbow's heart exploded, she turned to the container of powdered formula.
Ok let's see if I can do this, Rainbow Dash said.
She reached a hoof out towards it, trying hard to concentrate. A rainbow tinted glow surrounded the container. Then it opened the baby bottle. Next to it was an open container of formula. Using her magic Rainbow Dash clumped it together and levitated it up over the bottle and dropped it into the baby bottle. Then Rainbow Dash turned her attention the bathroom. The sink flipped on, and the bottle went and levitated under the faucet, until it was filled with water. Then as Rainbow Dash levitated it back the cap flew over to meet and twisted on! as it landed in Rainbow Dash's hoof. Rainbow Dash bit her lip as she handed the bottle to the foal. Cloud Chaser excepted the warm sweet fluid, welcoming it into his mouth, as he enjoyed his breakfast Rainbow Dash smiled.
"Okay you finish that while I go get ready for school, and get your stuff packed. Your going to go spend the day with Grandma Blaze. The colt simply giggled at Rainbow's colorful mane. Rainbow Dash sighed knowing it was fruitless and that he didn't understand what she was saying but smiled anyway.
"Okay you stay here and play, while I go get ready okay?" Rainbow Dash smiled as she care fully moved the giggling colt back to the middle of the bed, so he wouldn't fall and get hurt. Then Rainbow Dash swiftly went into the bathroom to take a shower. It only took about 15 minutes. It was about 6:45 so she had time to relax and get ready. She didn't have to be at school till 8:30, once Rainbow Dash stepped out of the shower she ran a brush through her mane and tail.
"Okay your turn," Rainbow Dash said smiling.
Cloud chaser only looked at her blankly.
"Come on, let's get you cleaned up," Rainbow Dash told Cloud Chaser, pulling him into her wing and giving him a nuzzle. Rainbow Dash sat him gently in the sink half filled with warm water.
The colt squealed as he felt the warm water up against his coat.
"La la la la la la La," Cloud Chaser sang, as he splashed and played in the water.
"Yeah bubble baths are fun aren't they," Rainbow Dash said as she began washing his wings.
"Bubba bath! Bubba bath,"Cloud Chaser giggled.
Rainbow Dash gently but tiredly washed his coat and mane. Once he was clean she wrapped him in a towel and dried him off.
"Okay how about you have some play time with your toys, while I get ready? And after school I'll pick you up and we'll go to the store and get you more toys."
The colt didn't even seem to hear her, as he was reaching for his toy. Rainbow Dash smiled and gave it to him. The colt hugged it and yawned. Rainbow Dash pulled a blanket over him and tucked him in. Rainbow Dash gave him a nuzzle and kissed him on the head.
"I guess some things are more important than your reputation and being sappy. I promise Cloud Chaser I'll do everything I can to make sure you have a good life. The one I always wished for," Rainbow Dash said. Giving him one last nuzzle before the colt instantly fell fast asleep. He had a smile on his face as he snuggled into the blankets.
Rainbow dash trotted out of the room.
"Okay let's see, I need to make sure I have all my assignments ready. I need to pack a bag for Cloud Chaser's day with Comet Blaze. I need to eat breakfast, and pack myself a lunch."
Rainbow Dash trotted into the kitchen.
"Okay, let's see what my ex-parents got in here. It's not like they'll ever know. They won't ever be stepping a hoof into my life or this house again."
Rainbow Dash peered into the fridge, nothing but beer bottles.
"Ugh! I gotta get rid of those as soon as I get the chance. Rainbow Dash closed the fridge and looked are around.
"Geese, all they gave is a bowl of apples on the table and half a loaf of bread! What the hay did they eat!? Whatever I'll just make some toast and have an apple for lunch," Rainbow Dash said. She grabbed an apple and popped the toast in the toaster.
"Alright while that's cooking I'll go get my saddle bags and school stuff," Rainbow Dash thought. She then trotted up stairs and grabbed her stuff, as well as a bag she found in the corner of the room.
"I'll just use this to hold Cloud Chasers stuff."
Rainbow dash quietly trotted into the room carefully. Trying not to wake Cloud Chaser. She threw the diapers and bottles of formula inside and swiftly made her exit.
"I'll just give him his pacifier before we leave and he can play with his toy on the way. That way I won't wake him," Rainbow thought to herself. Rainbow Dash glanced at the clock only to find it was 7:45.
"Oh man, gotta hurry! I wanted to get all my assignments turned in before the bell. Of course, worst case scenario Is I wait till I go to each class, but then I'll look like an egg head! I could always go after class I guess. Ugh! Whatever," Rainbow mumbled to herself, as she put on her saddle bags.
"Okay it's time to wake up, Cloud Chaser," Rainbow said gently.
"Mmmnnnn," the colt yawned, and it didn't take long for him to become cranky. Rainbow Dash gave him his pacifier, and wrapped him in the blanket holding him close to her chest. She unfurled he wings and took off at a gentle pace towards Comet Blaze's house. After dropping Cloud Chaser off and hearing about Comet's condition, and that he is making a full recovery. Rainbow Dash took off to school as fast as she could. Witch was nowhere near as fast as normal do to lack of fatigue, but was fast non the less. Finally it was 8:15 and Rainbow Dash was at school. She literally bumped into Mr.Squared.
"Whoa, Rainbow Dash, slow down!"
"Sorry, I was trying to get this to you before school starts," Rainbow Dash said yawning.
She handed him a large stack of papers witch were all of her due assignments. Mr.Squared flipped through the papers.
"Wow, I'm impressed. Good work, it all looks good. I'll start putting it in the grade book. Keep up the good work-"
Mr.Squared was interrupted with another yawn from Rainbow Dash. Then he noticed the dark rings under her eyes.
"Are you okay? You seem really tired."
"W-what? Oh, um, yeah sorry. I just haven't gotten much sleep the past two days."
"Well I suggest you get some tonight."
"I hope so, anyways sorry. I gotta go turn in my other assignments to my other teachers.
"What do you mean 'you hope so'? If your going to be focusing on your school work, you need to get some proper sleep. I don't want you falling asleep in class anymore, understood," he asked sternly.
"I understand. I'm sorry I just got a lot on my plate. When I fall asleep at night Cloud Chaser wakes up screaming at least 5-6 times during the night."
Mr.squared eyes softened. "Okay, I understand, a foal is a big responsibility. I forgot you were caring for him, but we have a group project being assigned today. Toy will be working in pairs and it's a summative grade. You need to focus on your education, if your going to be able to continue to provide for your foal."
Rainbow dash sighed, "I know that's why I'm so stressed. I'm just trying to prove that I can be responsible and that I'm looking out for his best interests, so I can get custody. I don't want his life to be ruined by the same ponies who ruined mine. Or to grow up in an orphanage thinking no pony wants him or cares about him, like he's a peace of trash. He deserves better than that. He deserves to at least have a Chance."
Mr.Squared had an unreadable expression studying her carefully, then he smiled.
"Well I think right now your on the right path, and that you truly care. However you have to turn yourself around. You can't just stop when you get custody. you need to work at it!"
"I know," Rainbow Dash said. "And I plan on it, I don't care what it takes! I'm not going to give up on him!"
"Good! Keep up that attitude, and it'll take you far. If theirs anything I can do to help you, just let me know. Like if you need a teacher to speak on your behalf in court.
"Really?!? thank you!!!"
He smiled, "Now you only have 5 minutes, if you want to talk to your other teacher and give the your assignments.
"Oh my gosh, your right! Bye see you when the bell rings!" And with that Rainbow Dash zipped off.
*Ring*
"Oh no! I got to get to class," Rainbow Dash exclaimed, as she darted to class!
"Here Rainbow Dash, let me write you a pass." Rainbow Dash's science teacher told her.
"Rainbow Dash trotted into Mr. Squared's classroom, he turned to her.
"Before you say anything, I have a pass," Rainbow exclaimed. Holding it up in the air victoriously.
Mr squared chuckled.
"What?! It counts! on time! beat that!"
Mr. Squared rolled his eyes and smiled shaking his head. "Very well, sit down, so we can get to work."
"K, Rainbow dash Said." Now finally starting perk up due to her determination, that and having raced half way around the school.
"Okay every pony, today we will all be working on a group project."
"Noooo," every pony groaned.
"Now get into pairs once I call your name, and I will tell you your partner," Mr.Squared continued" Ignoring the groans of protest.
Rainbow Dash spaced out as he began calling names, but snapped back into reality when she heard her name.
"Rainbow Dash, you'll be partnered with Snow Storm. You two go to the table in the back, and begin working.
Rainbow dash got up and trotted over to her.
"Hey'a, what's up Snow Storm, Rainbow Dash greeted.
"A project," she answered bluntly.
"Okay? Relax why are you so uptight?"
"Relax?! Maybe it doesn't matter to you but it matters to me! This project is a summative grade! The last thing I need is some stupid pony like you getting in the way, and cause me to get a bad grade!"
Rainbow was silent once again, she felt her heart break. But like always, she'd never show It. Not here, not now, not ever. Only one pony knew how sensitive she was, and that pony was Soarin. "Come on just face it," Rainbow Dash thought to herself, as she remembered all the time they used to spend together. "He's a Wonderbolt! No way he would have time for a low class fangirl, like me. I guess that's all I am to him now, not that it matters."
Rainbow Dash sat their silently, showing no emotion.
"Snow Storm! See me after class, Rainbow Dash, he said his voice getting more gentle. Rainbow Dash please step outside with me.
Rainbow Dash got up quietly and trotted over to Mr. Squared.
"I didn't do anything-"
"I know, relax. I have a diffrent project for you to do independently.
"Different project, Rainbow asked, tilting her head curiously.
"Yes, how about you make a children's book? Just a little book with one or two sentences on each page, with a neat drawling or picture.
"I could always borrow Gilda's camera."
"Good, you don't even have to present it. But I want it neat and at lease 4 pages. You can even do it on Cloud Chaser. Also what were you and Snow Storm yelling about? And did you find a foal sitter for Cloud Chaser?"
"Well for one, I don't really know why she yelled at me. Two yes, yes I did find a sitter. He's with my stepmother, not the horrible one! Firefly's in jail, I mean Comet Blaze. She's not really my stepmother but..... Ah whatever," Rainbow Dash said quietly glancing as the floor.
"Okay well I suggest you get started on your project. Their is plenty of supplies on the back table, so I suggest you get started. We'll be working on this project in class for the next three days.
"Ok," Rainbow Dash said.
Rainbow Dash trotted back inside the classroom, now smiling as she made he way towards the back table.
"Okay class! Get started on your projects, theirs supplies in the back, Mr.Squared told the class.
Every pony got up and began to make their way towards the table to get supplies. Rainbow Dash got a small stack of light blue paper, a neon marker, a sharpie and a humming bird sticker. Once Rainbow Dash went and sat down at her desk, she folded and cut the paper so that she had a total of 12 pages, not counting the title page. Rainbow Dash drew a wavy musical with a treble clef using the neon marker, and put the humming bird sticker in the middle of it. Then using the sharpie she wrote a sentence on each page leaving room in the middle of the page for a picture.

Once rainbow dash was satisfied with what she rote, she put the booklet in her saddle bags.
"Now all I need is Gilda's camera," Rainbow Dash muttered to herself.
Rainbow Dash got up to return the supplies she borrowed. Mr. Squared watched her for a moment deep in thought, but then watched her trot off towards Gilda.
"Hey G?"
"Hey dash, good your here, what do you say we ditch this joint and-"
"Please Gilda," Gilda's partner Cloud Kicker pleaded.
Gilda just ignored her completely.
"Please? come on, I need your help. I need to get a good grade, all I asked you to do was draw a picture of a wave. It's important! It's for the introduction of our projects presentation! Thats all I asked you to do! That and make the charts for the data! I already got the information for you, you just need to put it in a bar graph."
"Whatever! Not my problem, Gilda replied.
Before cloud kicker could plead any further Rainbow Dash interrupted .
"Hey G can I borrow your camera?"
"Sure, here," Gilda replied. She reached into her saddle bags, and pulling out a camera.
"Thanks," Rainbow said taking it and trotting off towards her desk quietly, but she stopped and grabbed a few markers and a peace of paper off the back table. When Rainbow Dash got back to her desk, she slid the camera into her saddle bags, and began to draw a wave on the paper. It was only a quick 5 minute sketch, but it had the basic shading. Rainbow Dash looked up when she saw Cloud Kicker trotting past her desk. She tapped her on the shoulder. Cloud Kicker turned and looked at Rainbow Dash expecting this to be a prank. Rainbow Dash simply slid the drawling in front of her.
"You can have it," Rainbow Dash said, as Cloud Kicker picked up the paper.
"Wow! This is really impressive it looks so realistic!"
"Huh? What are you talking about? Its just a quick sketch."
"No, this is really good! Where did you learn to draw like this?"
Rainbow dash shrugged.
"I don't know, I just draw. I actually think I like drawing."
"Yeah, well, you should. This is really good! Thank you!"
"No prob," Rainbow Dash replied smiling.
Cloud Kicker turned and trotted over to Mr.Squareds desk.
"Excuse me Mr.Squared
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry, but I've tried. Gilda will not help me with out project. The only help I got was from Rainbow Dash. She drew this for me. It's for the introduction of our presentation, on rouge waves. This is the only thing I asked Gilda to do, and Rainbow Dash did it in 5 minutes."
Cloud Kicker gave him the drawling.
"Wow!"
"I know its really good, but what am I supposed to do about the rest of the project? I need Gilda's help but she won't help me."
"Ok, tell Gilda that if she doesn't participate she will get and F. And ask Rainbow Dash if she is willing to help. Tell her if she does she'll get extra credit, but don't get upset if she says no. I'm not supposed to say anything but let's just say something very close to her is in danger, and she's having a really hard time at home. I'm glad to see your willing to work with her. I purposely paired her up with Snow Storm for that purpose, but never have I seen or have even thought that she would have acted like that to any pony! Rainbow Dash isn't as bad as she seems. From what I've seen so far, she's trying to turn herself around, and do well in school. I think her hanging out with better friends will have a huge impact on her, so please don't give up on her."
Cloud kicker smiled, "of course not!"
Then the bell rang and every pony left the classroom.
"Hey Dash, what were you doing talking to Cloud Kicker? And why didn't you come back sooner?! Don't tell me you were actually working on that project, were you?"
"Gilda I'm not preparing for a stupid presentation!"
It was mostly true. Her project was a children's book not a presentation, but she was still working on a project for class.
"Whatever G hang on I'm going to grab a drink of water," Rainbow Dash said trotting over to a nearby water fountain.
"Rainbow dash?" Gilda heard Cloud Kicker call, Gilda looked up and raised an eyebrow and then got a sly smirk.
"Ppffff, why would you be looking for dash? Do you seriously think she'd be caught dead hanging around somepony as lame as you?!? Gilda said grabbing cloud kickers binder and throwing it to the ground, causing all the papers to pop out everywhere. Do you seriously think your special? Or that by doing well in school you can actually accomplish-"
"Gilda that's enough," Rainbow dash yelled. Every pony pulled out their smart phones, expecting to video a fist fight.
Gilda turned her head to Rainbow Dash. "Come on Dash don't tell me your seriously siding with these losers!"
"Tell me Gilda? what makes her a looser?"
"Huh oh um-"
"Yeah that's what I thought. Seriously can you go 5 minutes without bothering some pony?!?"
"Ha and I thought you were actually hardening. You never liked it when I messed with ponies, but always went along with it. You would always yack away and I'd never hear the end about how I mistreated this and that. I thought you were cool, I mean, come on! You seemed like you were learning, you used to be cool! What changed dash!?! Huh!"
"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying maybe your not cool like I thought! maybe your just a loser, like the rest of these punks!"
"Yeah so? Look if being cool is all you think about, then maybe you should leave and go find some cool friends some place else."
"Come on dash, your josh-in me, right?"
"No Gilda! If you don't knock it, off and leave everypony alone, then go find some pony else to mess with. Maybe that are bullies like you, I don't care but get out of here! Rainbow Dash said gathering Cloud Kickers papers.
"You'll pay for this, Rainbow Dash, Gilda yelled, before stomping away.
Rainbow Dash handed Cloud Kicker her binder, and began trotting to the cafeteria. Everypony who witnessed it just sat their in shock. Their recordings still running, before they finally all burst into cheers. Rainbow Dash had just gotten out of the lunch line, when she glanced around and spotted Fluttershy. Rainbow Dash bit her lip, but moved in her direction anyway.
"H-hey Fluttershy?"
"Eeeekkkk," Fluttershy squealed.
"R-Rainbow dash," Fluttershy questioned.
"Um hey? Mind if I sit here?"
"Huh? oh, no of course not! Go ahead, Fluttershy said moving over, Rainbow Dash sat next to her.
"Rainbow dash, I'm so sorry for how I treated you!"
"No, don't be."
"But I-"
"I said no," Rainbow said sternly. We are both equally guilty of this.
"But you didn't do anything."
"I could have come to you sooner and fixed things. I'm sorry."
"No, I'm sorry. I'm the one who yelled at you and said I didn't want to be your friend.....-are we friends? "
Rainbow Dash was silent, "Yeah, I guess we are," she smiled.
"Fluttershy hugged her and Rainbow Dash hugged her back.
"Is it true?"
"It what true?"
"Did your parents really get arrested? Did you really run away."
"W-What ? What makes you think that was me!? No names were given out, except for the parents who were arrested!"
Fluttershy sighed, "I guess, but the stallion looked so much like you. I just assumed-"
"........yeah."
"Huh? What, Fluttershy asked, not understanding."
"They are, well, were my parents..... But like you said, I ran away."
"Rainbow Dash I'm so sorry I-"
"No, it's fine just, just don't tell anypony okay, Rainbow Dash pleaded now whispering.
"Okay, I promise," Fluttershy said smiling. "I missed having a friend to tell all my secrets to."
Rainbow Dash smiled, "me too."
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy spent the rest of the lunch period catching up, and the rest of the day went by smoothly.

The wonderbolts compound
"Few, what a day! I'm just glad practice is over for the day, now I can finally relax," Soarin said as he grabbed his TV remote, and plopped onto the couch.
This just in! More information on the two horrible parents starve their 3 day old foal, almost to death! Not only that but Spectrum Blaze and Firefly the parents,-
Soarin's head popped up looking at the TV.
also kidnapped and beat 13 year old Comet Streak to the point to where he was sent to the hospital. The young mare who saved them was interviewed, as it turned out, she too was a child of the abusive parents. She is Spectrum blazes daughter, who shall remain nameless. Her along with Comet Streak are Firefly's step children. Their eldest daughter that saved the two, has informed us that she ran away over 10 years ago, at age 6. She is now caring for her newborn baby brother. The parents are claiming that she never left and that she's making it up to make them look bad. But according to local ponies that is not true. They say when they have been in the home, or are close friends who have asked about the whereabouts of his daughter they were never given a straight answer. That they never saw her and that when they asked they say they always go answers like "oh, she's at tutoring" or "she's out with a friend." The two parents Spectrum Blaze and Firefly have been transported to the Cloudsdale jail. We don't know what the turn out will be. However we can be sure that based on what the police say, 'they will be spending at least 50 years behind bars, if not life.' Their daughter is currently living in the house with her new born brother. He now finally has a name of his own. Apparently his parents were so drunk they didn't even name him. His big sister and now maybe even future Mom, has named him Cloud Chaser. But this leaves police wondering, how did they leave the hospital that drunk? Especially with a newborn foal? The police are now suspecting that they had help, but the question is, who? The trial will be taking place this Sunday. Stay tuned as we get more information. This is just in Equestrian news.
"Oh Dashie, don't worry I'm coming! I promise I'll be their as soon as I can! Just please be safe, "Soarin preyed to Celestia.
Soarin jumped up and darted down the hall as fast as he could, to the Wonderbolt HQ cafeteria. Where are all of the Wonderbolts were resting from their performance. Soarin was running so fast he slammed into the wall, when he attempted trying to make a sharp turn. He made such a loud "thud" that it echoed through the whole HQ, gabbing all the Wonderbolts and staff attention. Not only that, but Soarin ran full force into the pole dividing the double doors. Soarin was knocked straight off his feet and onto his back! He jumped up and ran into the cafeteria as fast as he could, his vision becoming blurry, and his head and thoughts spinning. He shakily walked around the room swaying, but came to a halt when he stumbled upon a yellow and orange 'caution wet floor sign'.
"Spite Fire! just the pony I wanted to see! I need to go on season break early!"
"Soarin?!" Spitfire yelled
Soarin whirled around towards spitfire, shakily barely able to stay on his hooves.
"Oh sorry Blaze, I thought you were some pony else," Soarin called to the wet floor sign.
Every pony broke out into laughter.
"SILENCE!," Spitfire yelled the room went dead quite.
"Soarin what is the meaning of this!?"
"I need to go on break early, it's and emergency and-'
"Soarin," spitfire interrupted. Spitfire sighed, "Soarin you of all ponies would never miss practice or a show. This must be important to you. But I'm sorry. This is the one time where I literally don't have a choice. This Sunday is the last show we have before our 3 month break. I can't let you miss it, I'm sorry."
"Ugh," Soarin groaned. He fell backwards landing on his back, his vision now going completely black.
All Soarin heard was a loud high pitched ringing noise. Finally Soarin couldn't take the annoying sound anymore. He forced his eyes to open as he looked around lazily. His head began pounding and spinning. All he could see were colored blobs towering above him, he stared at them in bewilderment.
"Back up, give him space," Spitfire yelled.
"Is he going to be ok," Fleet Foot asked.
"Yes he'll be fine. Just let him rest and he'll be up and running, as soon as he starts to come back to his senses," the medic replied.
"Ok good," Spitfire said.
"Damn it, Soarin! What the hay were you thinking?!?!"
Soarin's head was pounding. All he heard was what sounded like static. It was filling his head and thoughts.
"Sssshhhhh," the medic hushed.
Soarin's head felt hot, like it was on fire. He could feel the blood pulsing through his head.
The medic took a rag and splashed some cold water on his face. Finally Soarin's vision started to clear. Soarin blinked as the medic placed a ice pack on his head. Soarin looked around warily, and realized that he was in the infirmary. He sat up in the bed,
"ugh, my head," he groaned.
"Here, just take a Motrin and rest for a few minutes. You'll be fine their's no major damage."
"He'll be fine for the show on Sunday," the medic said
Sigh, "good," Spitfire said relieved.
"Okay Soarin, come on let's get back to practice."
"Please reconsider giving me time off! You can take it out of my vacation days! I promise I'll never ask for time off again!"
"Soarin I know you of all ponies deserves time off .You never miss the bolts! Even when your hurt from a crash! Remember last time? You broke your rib and you still came out on the field for practice and tried to fly! Me and Fleet Foot had to lock you in your room and put bars on your bedroom window! I will always give you time off when you need it, but this time the choice is out of my power. I'm sorry theirs nothing I can do."
"Ok spitfire, I understand," Soarin said glumly.
"Look Soarin," spitfire said. "If you still need to leave after the show, I'll help you sneak out the back before the fan ponies get ahold of you."
"Really?!?"
"Really."
"Promise?"
"Ugh! Soarin come on! What are you a foal?"
Soarin glared,
"Okay, I promise! Are you happy now?"
"Yes! Good now you promised, NO backing out!"
"Alright, alright, but this promise only stands if you get to practice without any lip-Hey wait ware did Soarin go," Spitfire said looking around. "How the hay did he do that?! Sense when can he teleport?!?!?"
"Hahah, man Spit's that promise only stands if you get to practice without any lip,"Fleet Foot teased.
"Ugh! Why am I your friend again,vShe said asked, as every pony trotted out of the infirmary.
"Don't worry Dashie, I'll be their as soon as our next show is finished I promise! Maybe now I'll tell you how I feel. How I've always felt. I miss you Dashie, I can't stop thinking about you. Why, Soarin asked.
After Practice
"Huh? What, you need something spitfire?"
"No Soarin, but like I said, you never miss practice. You always work hard and do your best, so I contacted some ponies, cashed in a few favors. Long story short I got the show moved up a day. The shows as of today is on Friday!"
"Really?!?! Thank you spitfire! Your the bestest friend I could ever hope for," saorin yelled. As he pulled her into a bear hug
"No prob Soarin, see you at practice later," Spitfire said trotting away. Maybe then I can finally tell you, how I truly feel about you Soarin. Your always so happy around me, and I've never seen you show interest in any other mares. You must have at least some feeling for me because......I love you. Spitfire thought to herself. A deep blush formed on her face of the thought of her telling him and him taking her on a romantic date.

"Finally the shows over! I need to get out of here! I need to be their for Dashie," Soarin said in quick panic.
Soarin raced down the blue halls. They were a solid ocean blue color with yellow lightning bolts printed down the walls. They matched the Wonderbolts flight suits to a tea. Needless to say their were plenty of show casings baring Wonderbolt artifacts. Some of which were items that belonged to some of the most famous wonderbolts in HISTORY!
"Rainbow Dash would love to be here and fly with us. Maybe I could talk to spitfire and talk her into letting Rainbow Dash fly with us and let her spend the day in the HQ. Maybe then I could finally tell her how I feel," Soarin thought to himself.
Soarin ran down the halls and ran straight into Rapid Fire!
"Sorry Rapid Fire, but I'm in a hurry," Soarin called over his shoulder.
"Whoa! Soarin, where you going in such a rush?" Rapid Fire demanded more than asked.
Soarin stopped dead in his tracks. Every pony that lived or worked in the HQ knew that when Rapid Fire wanted something he would find a way to get it. One way or another, he was still a kind pony. He always looked out for every ponies best interests.
"I need to go," Soarin blurted out quickly under pressure.
Ah great! You idiot Soarin! Now he's definitely going to know something's up! ugh! I don't have time for this! I need to be there for Dashie! Soarin thought to himself while trying to act as casual as he could.
"Hold it! where do you think your going, tearing through the hallways like that" Rapid Fire demanded while raising a curious eyebrow.
"I'm in a hurry," Soarin said simply, as if it wasn't a big deal at all.
Soarin however could feel his heart pounding out of his chest with Nerves. Soarin silently hoped Rapid Fire hadn't noticed, but after a few seconds of just awkward silence, it was obvious that he knew. Soarin finally had to give in if there was any chance of getting out of this mess. He looked up nervously only to see a knowing smirk on Rapid Fire's face. Yup, it was obvious, Soarin concluded. He was officially busted. Soarin was left with only one choice, one possible way to get out of the situation. At least for now, and that was just fine with him. Soarin had only one possible way to escape from Rapid Fire. He'd do what he always did to get rid of all those pesky news reporters. He would Run!
Soarin flew as fast as he could past an unsuspecting Rapid Fire only glancing back long enough to see the shocked expression on Rapid's face. Soarin was only a little ways away from the exit. Yes, yes! I'm going to make it! Then out of nowhere, Rapid Fire zipped up and stopped right I front of Soarin. Soarin slammed on the breaks but wasn't able to stops himself in time. Right before they were about to collide, Rapid Fire burst forwards pushing Soarin to the ground with a hard thud! As his head hit the checkered tile, and pined Soarin firmly to the seemingly cold floor. Damn! Soarin muttered his thoughts swimming, as he groaned with annoyance.
"Where. Are. You. Going," Rapid Fire repeated slowly looking almost amused.
"I need to go help a friend. She needs my help, ASAP," Soarin mumbled still recovering from his haziness and now forming headache.
"She? ", Rapid Fire questioned. A knowing smirk creeping its way onto his face.
"W-what-," Soarin stammered.
"You know very well what I'm talking about,Soarin."
"I, um-huh?"
"I'm going to guess this is about a rainbow maned pony, by the name of Rainbow Dash perhaps?"
"H-how did you-"
Rapid Fire interrupted Soarin with a burst of crackling laughter.
"B-but," Soarin stammered. "W-What's so funny?!"
"Soarin, you love her," Rapid Fire said simply as he stepped off of Soarin, releasing him from the tiles cold grasp.
"W-what are you talking about?!? No-"
"You can deny it all you want lover colt, but know one thing. Women always find out the truth, and they always get what they want," Rapid Fire said. His voice turning from calm and gentle to serious.
"Oh so you must be one too," Soarin said clearly annoyed.
Soarin's pupils shrank to the size of pin dots once he realized he had said that out loud, and he instantly covered his mouth with his hooves.
"I'm just going to let that one slide since you never normally act like this, she must be important to you if you get this defensive. HOWEVER, Soarin, you know the Bolts aren't allowed to have relationships," Rapid Fire said. His glaring daggers that were piercing through Soarin's soul softened into a soft Sympathetic smile.
Soarin felt his heart break into a thousand pieces. He felt that and and fear. Lots and LOTS of fear! Could he really lose Dash forever?!?! Would Rapid Fire kill him for the stunt he just pulled back in the hall?!?! Would he kill him before he got the chance to tell Rainbow Dash how he felt?!? Would he not be allowed to be with her because of his job?!?!?! Soarin's thoughts were buzzing with questions.
Never again am I going to slip up and say something like that again! I'm still alive so he must be having a good day, Soarin thought trying to help himself to look on the bright side.
"Soarin, the rule book clearly states, "No member of the Wonderbolts are allowed to have romantic relations if it proves to be a distraction."
Soarin was silent. He could feel a part of him wilt, no die! A part of him that he nor anything in Equestria could ever replace. Something that he knew he couldn't get back, something, no, some pony he held very close to his heart.
"If," Rapid Fire said suddenly.
Soarin's ears pricked up at the sound of Rapid Fire's voice..
"If," Soarin repeated glumly as if their was no hope for life. But after a second he realized what rapid had said. He just looked at Rapid Fire, unsure as to what Rapid Fire meant, and where this conversation was going.
"If," Rapid Fire confirmed.
"Come on, Soarin! You two especially, have a very special and close bond! She gave you her scholarship for ponies sakes! Who am I to get in the way of that?"
"You mean," Soarin asked. He felt his heart swelling with hope.
"Yes Soarin, you can have her. On one condition"
"What?! I'll do anything!!!" Soarin blurted out much louder than he meant to. He quickly glanced around nervously to make sure no pony with prying eyes heard him, specifically Fleetfoot. Luckily the coast was clear.
"Sshhhh quite down Soarin! You have to keep this a secret! You can't tell the other bolts or let the public find out. At least not until all of this is sorted out, and that foal has a good home."
"How did you know the foal was-"
"I have my ways, now come on Soarin, GO GET'ER!!!"
Soarin grinned, he didn't even get a chance to say thank you because as if right on cue he heard Spit Fire yell.
"Come on Soarin! I can't hold all these fan ponies off forever," she yelled.
"Coming Spits! Thank you for all your help!"
"No problem Soarin," Spit Fire replied,
turning her head away so he wouldn't see the deep blush forming on her face.
Soarin zipped through the double doors and then he was off. He flew as fast as he could to Rainbow Dash's parents house.
"He does like me! he even called my Spits," Spit Fire said happily, her hart fluttering.
She turned her head to see a sad looking Fleetfoot.
"Fleet foot," Spit Fire asked, "Are you okay?"
"Spit Fire I think there is something you should know, Fleetfoot said.
"Huh?"
Rainbow Dash had just trotted down stairs, after finishing her project and putting Cloud Chaser down for a nap. She trotted into the living room when heard a knock at the door.
"Who could that be," Rainbow Dash asked out loud to herself, as she trotted over to the door.
"Soarin!?"
"Um, hey Rainbow Dash," Soarin said nervously, but was interrupted when Rainbow Dash pulled him into a hug. Soarin blushed and hugged her back.
After what was probably about three minutes of hugging Soarin decided to poke a little fun at Rainbow Dash.
"Ha! I knew you couldn't live without me," Soarin laughed.
"In your dreams! Are you kidding me? With all this awesomeness right here," Rainbow Dash said gesturing to herself laughing boastfully. It really is good to see you soar, I really missed you." Rainbow said a a small blush forming on her face.
What is wrong with me?!? Am I blushing?!?! And why do I feel as if I have just done a hundred sonic rainbooms?!?! Rainbow Dash mentally yelled at herself, but still kept a smile on her face none the less.
"Aaaawwww, your so cute when your blushing," Soarin said. But he instantly regretted it. His face lit up like a Christmas light, as Rainbow Dash turned even redder.
"So, um, I, I mean, can I come in," Soarin asked nervously.
"Sure, I mean, y-yeah of course," Rainbow stammered as she stepped aside allowing Soarin to come in.
"So..... Are you okay," Soarin asked.
"What? Yeah, why wouldn't I be," Rainbow Dash asked.
"Well with everything that's been going on lately, I was just wondering if you were ok. I'm sorry for saying this, I wasn't going to say anything, but you don't look well. You have huge bags under your eyes," Soarin said cautiously, unsure of what the outcome of his words would be.
Rainbow Dash sighed, "Yeah, I guess, I don't know."
"What don't you know?"
"Everything," Rainbow Dash said, falling backwards onto the couch. She then proceeded by pulling a pillow up over her head.
Soarin sat next to Rainbow Dash. "Come on,"Soarin said patting his lap. Rainbow Dash moved up and laid her head on his lap. Soarin gently stroked her mane soothingly.
"Are you sure your going to be ok," Soarin asked worriedly.
"No, no I'm not ok! I'm hopeless and stupid-"
"Okay! First of you are not hopeless and stupid!" Soarin said sternly. "Why would you even think that?! Your amazing, kind, and a fantastic flier, and so much more! Dash! You gave up your DREAM so I could have mine! And now here you are again. Despite what you've been through, your still trying, your still going. It's better to try and fail then to never try at all! You ever heard that saying? Because let me be the first to tell you, I know from experience that it's true. It's like you always used to say "just do your best and we'll be proud of you no matter what!" That's one of the things I love about you most. When you fall you get right back up. You don't let it stop you! That saying you taught me was the only thing that kept me going in the flight academy when things got hard! You never gave up and I'll be darned if you stop now!"
Rainbow Dash sat up and hugged Soarin as tightly as she could.
"And that's one of the things I love most about you. No matter how bad things are, you always support me and make me feel better."
"What are friends for? Now please Rainbow Dash tell me what's going on. I've known you long enough to know your good at hiding things, especially your emotions," Soarin sad gently.
Rainbow Dash buried her head into Soarin's chest. "Ok," she said finally. "I trust you."
Soarin quietly leaned over and silently switched on a tape recorder on the table.
"I just don't know what to do. I want to be there for Cloud Chaser, give him the life I so desperately needed and wanted growing up. But I just don't know if I can do it. I mean how can I support a foal? Soarin really, how am I going to win during this battle in court?!?! My parents always win! I wouldn't be surprised if they got off the hook completely! I know my Dad blames me for my mothers death but I was just a filly. I understand it, really I do, he's in pain. We both were, but he went about it the wrong way. He started drinking so he wouldn't remember, so the pain would stop. But when it didn't work he took it out on me."
"He's my Dad Soarin, and as much as I hate myself for it, I still love him, but at the same time... I hate him. Not only for what he's done to me but for what he's done to himself. And some how I let Comet Streak get in the middle of it. I finally thought things were getting better Soarin. I finally excepted the fact that I had to stop hoping. I knew deep down that by countinouing to try to beleive that he would Change I was only hurting myself even more. I always knew deep down that he wasn't going to change, and that he's not ever going to, but for a long time I just couldn't let myself except it. But now.... I'm curious to see what he has to say about all this tomorrow in court. At least now he won't be drunk or having a hang over. For the first time in ten years I'll see him when he's not out of his mind drunk."
"Ten years Soarin! I just don't understand how he could wast his life away like that. But now it's not even about that! Its about Cloud Chaser! I mean seriously! He's just a foal and already he was at the verge of death! DEATH?!?! Soarin, he's just so young! He's the sweetest thing in all of Equestria. He didn't deserve this. I never thought I would say this ever again but, I love him. I want to be there for him. I want to watch him grow up. How? How can I possibly win this? Their right! They were always right! I always got into fights and did things I never thought would affect me. I did them because I thought no pony cared and like it wouldn't ever matter! I never cared! It helped me release a lot of my anger. But for once I actually regret all those things I did. I was letting what my Dad did to me control my life, and as a result I was being just as bad as he was. But now that I have the choice. I want to fix my mistakes and finally give Cloud Chaser the life I wanted, and I want him to have. Now nothing is more important to me. I'll do anything just to make sure that he has the life he deserves."
" I've taken the best care of him that I could. He seem's happy. He's always smiling and giggling when I play with him. He such a cute little snuggle bug. As soon as this whole things over I'm going to get a job. I don't care if I have to quite school to do it. I just want to raise and support him. I finally have something worth living for, and now I don't want to give it up. He has given me so much happiness. Happiness....I thought I would never feel something like this again. The last thing I want is him being sent to some orphanage thinking no pony wanted him, and that he's nothing but a peace of trash....Because that's how I felt when my dad rejected me. I'm taking him to get some more toys today maybe even a crib if I can afford it. We'll probably leave and do that once he wakes up from his nap. Soarin I just don't know what to do. I can support him emotionally but financially. I just don't know until I can actually get a full time job. Either way I'll figure it out. I'll find a way to get one, but I can't before the trial tomorrow. No matter what, I'll make do, I'll make things work."
"Well I can definitely tell how much you care about him. You wouldn't mind if I came with you to get his toys would you," Soarin asked.
"Sure, you know what? I think I'd like that."
"Good because I was going to come whether you liked it or not. Also I'm paying for everything you need to set up a nursery."
"Wait?!?! What?!?! Soarin you can't do that! Do you have any idea how much it costs to set up a full nursery! You can't pay for all of that all by yourself!"
"Yes I can, and I will. Besides I'm a Wonderbolt! It pays really well i've got more money than I know what to do with."
"But-"
"No buts Rainbow Dash! I'm paying whether you like it or not!"
"Ok, fine," Rainbow Dash said giving in. "But only on one condition."
"Ugh! You are so hard to please," Soarin teased, rolling his eyes playfully.
"This is for Cloud Chaser, and you only do this as a friend! And it's on a loan! I'm paying you back every single penny!"
"Fine! You make things so hard," Soarin groaned.
Pppsss. There's no way I'm gonna let her pay me back, Soarin thought, evilly smirking to himself.
"Look who's talking," Rainbow Dash retorted.
Soarin laughed but then was interrupted by a loud cry.
"Wwwwwaaaaahhhhaaaaa wwwwaaaaahhhhaaaaa" Little Cloud Chaser cried.
"Looks like some pony woke up from their nap," Rainbow Dash said smiling, before getting up and trotting up the stairs.
"Right behind you," Soarin called.
Once she was out of sight, Soarin turned off the voice recorder and put it in his saddle bags. Before trotting upstairs to join her.
"This might be something useful in court," Soarin mumbled quietly to himself. He quietly slipped it into his saddle gags and trotted upstairs to join Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow?" He called looking down the hall.
"In here Soar,"Rainbow Dash called.
Soarin trotted into what he guessed was the guests bedroom only to find the most adorable scene. Rainbow Dash was holding the tiny foal in her hooves. She was holding him close to her chest and feeding him a bottle. The little foals hooves were wrapped around the bottle as he suckled seemingly content. Soarin trotted closer and smiled. When he got a good look at the foal he could see that the foal was in fact a colt. And that he had a light baby blue coat with a rainbow mane and bright green eyes.
"Dashie he's ADORABLE," Soarin cooed, as he tried to keep from passing out do to cuteness.
"Yeah, you are, yes you are," Rainbow Dash cooed to Cloud Chaser, as he finished his bottle.
"You know Soar, he looks a lot like you," Rainbow Dash commented.
"He does," Soarin questioned. "Yeah I guess he does. We have the same coat and eyes," Soarin said after now getting a closer inspection.
"Yes, now that you two do," Rainbow Dash said. She chuckled whole heartedly.
"Hey buddy, hey little stallion what's up," Soarin asked.
Cloud Chaser giggled "ya ya ya," the colt squealed, as he reached his little hooves towards Soarin.
Rainbow Dash leaned closer to him. Soarin not knowing what else to do took Cloud Chaser in his wing nervously.
"Ok good, now don't forget to support his head," Rainbow Dash said, pushing Soarin's hoof up a little to more support Cloud Chasers head.
"La la la la la la la la," the colt sang. He was grinning as he looked between both Rainbow Dash and Soarin.
"You know, you have pretty great Mom," Soarin said.
Rainbow Dash blushed, "yeah well."
"She loves you very much, and is going to do everything she can to take good care of you," Soarin cooed, now sitting down on the cloud printed covers, of the guest bedrooms bed.
"Ok," Soarin said leaning back and turning to Rainbow Dash's direction. "What do you say we get going?"
"Sounds good to me but when we get back its strictly for sleep! I'm exhausted and the the trials tomorrow."
"Yes and trust me, it only takes one good look at those bags under you eyes to tell you need sleep," Soarin said seriously. He looked down at Cloud Chaser as he felt him snuggle into his chest.
"Oh, ha ha ha," Rainbow Dash said sarcastically. "Alright let's get going," she said as she reached for Cloud Chaser.
"NO! Stop it! Don't touch him! We. Are. BONDING!!!" Soarin exclaimed. His eyes glued to Cloud Chaser. A smile plastered on his face.
"Alright, alright, you goof ball come on let's go! I need to get some sleep," Rainbow Dash said sternly.
"Ok let's go," Rainbow Dash repeated sternly once she realized that Soarin had not gotten up.
"Alright let's go," Soarin replied finally taking his eyes off Cloud Chaser.
Soarin and Rainbow Dash trotted down the stairs and through the living room. Finally they arrived at the Greece styled cloud door. The door had places of thinned out cloud that make it almost look transparent and it was blended with rainbow colored stained glass in the shape of Rainbow Dash's old family crest. Once they where outside Rainbow Dash and Soarin unfurled their wings and took off to the slightly cloudy sky.

"Man I'm glad we got here before the rain did that would not be fun. Okay where should we start," Soarin asked.
"Oh, um, how about with toys? That way he'll have something to keep him busy while we shop for everything else', Rainbow Dash suggested.
"Alright, sounds good to me! So how bout we get some pie afterwords," Soarin asked hopefully as he grabbed a cart and placed Cloud Chaser inside.
"Ugh, Soarin you haven't changed at all," Rainbow Dash playfully complained.
"Nu, uh! I'm a big colt now!" Soarin whined before sitting on the floor. He then proceeded by turning his back to Rainbow Dash and pouting.
Rainbow Dash laughed as Cloud Chaser just looked at the pair in bewilderment.
Is he kidding or is he for real? Rainbow Dash mentally asked herself.
Oh well it's funny either way.
"Ok, I'm pretty sure the foal supplies is on the other end of the store," Soarin said.
Rainbow Dash trotted up to Soarin and nuzzled his cheek.
"Thank you Soarin, for all your help. This really means a lot to me," she said giving him a small smile.
Soarin quickly turned away so she wouldn't see the blush on his face.
"N-no problem Rainbow Dash, what are friends for," Soarin stuttered.
[i Why did I do that?!?! I feel like I'm some crazy fangirl who has a crush! What the hay is up with me?! I never do things like that! Then again theirs nothing I like more than looking in his beautiful bright green eyes an- NO! NO! NO! NO! What the hay is wrong with me?! It's just same old Soarin! So why do I feel so diffrent around him? And weirder yet... I think I-do I like it?!?!
Rainbow Dash was snapped from her thoughts when she heard her name.
"Rainbow? Rainbow Dash? Are you ok?"
"Huh? Oh, um, yeah! Sorry I kinda spaced out their for a second," Rainbow Dash said nervously.
"No problamo! Anyways the foals toys are on the next isle," Soarin said pointing a hoof. As he began making his way over there. He glanced back over his shoulder making sure Rainbow Dash was following.
Man she's tired. She can't even keep her train of thought. I better keep an eye on her and make sure she gets some sleep tonight before the trial. Soarin thought worriedly to himself
They rounded the corner only to see isles full of nothing but foals toys, dippers, games, cribs, bottles formula, and anything else a foal could possible need!
"Whoa! The ponies who stock this store really went all out," Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
"Yup they sure did! The only reason I thought to look here was because I came here to get a baby gift for High Wind's baby shower."
"Really that's awesome!"
Rainbow Dash and Soarin were interrupted by a now crying Cloud Chaser.
"Oh no, that is not a happy face," Soarin cooed.
"That's exactly what I said," Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
Soarin smiled, he then noticed that little Cloud Chaser was reaching his little tiny hooves towards a stuffed wonderbolt toy that hung on the shelf.
"Hey you want that," Soarin asked, picking it up and shaking it. The toy soon filled the air with a rattling noise. Cloud Chaser giggled and Soarin handed the toy to him. Who as a result, began to shake it. He giggled every time it rattled, when he shook it.
"Hey guys check this out," Rainbow Dash called trotting back up to them.
"Look at this," she said holding up a plastic toy that had lots of buttons on it.
"Hey Cloud Chaser what do you think of this," Rainbow Dash asked pushing a button. A gentle tune started playing, as the toy began to change colors.
Cloud Chaser stared at it as if it was the most amaizing thing he's ever seen. Rainbow Dash held it in front of him and he giggled at all the pretty colors and sounds. He pushed a botton with his hoof and a fake humming bird popped out. The toy made bird chirping noises and Cloud Chaser grinned before breaking into a fit of squealing and giggling. It wasn't long before he began to push all of the other buttons trying to figure out what they would do.
"Well looks like some ponies having fun," Soarin said smiling at Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash smiled, but then both of them started blushing when they met each other's gaze. They both without even realizing, started leaning in closer and closer to each other. Only a few inches were left separating the two. Everything else seemed to vanish. Everything seemed perfect until-
"Excuse me sir, miss?"
"Huh," Soarin and Rainbow Dash asked in unison. Eyes instantly winding in shock as they both stepped back. Both their faces were burning hot red with deep blushes.
"Yeah, hey, um my name is Sales Tax, do you all need any help finding anything?" A store imployee asked.
"Oh, sorry! Did I interrupt something?"
"Oh, um, no I think we're all good thank you," Soarin said trying not to sound annoyed.
Damn it! I thought we were actually going to kiss! But...does Dashie really like me? I mean she nuzzled me, but friends can do that to right? I mean it didn't seem like she ment it as something more thank a thank you.... I guess. She seemed just fine after. She might as well not have done it at all. She didn't really seem to care or think much of it, but what if she did? I know more than any pony, how good she is at hiding her emotions.... But what if I tell her? Tell her how I feel, and she doesn't feel the same way? What if I tell her and she rejects me?!?! Ugh! Why is this so hard?!?! Sighs I have to tell her. Not now though right? just soon....yeah soon. Soon is good, soon is just fine...I guess....
Rainbow Dash trotted off looking at more foal supplies. She only managed to snap Soarin out of his thoughts when she returned and spoke to him.
"Hey Soarin?"
"Huh? Yes," Soarin replied finally being snapped out of his trance.
"I got him a few more bottles, formula, pacifiers and diapers, is that okay?"
"Yeah of course! What do you say we go and take a look at some cribs. I think that's something we need to get. It's only a matter of time before he falls and gets hurt."
"Ok, your right. I've been putting him in the middle of the bed so he won't fall, but he probably will eventually. Better safe than sorry, I suppose."
Soarin chuckled, "right," he agreed.
"Why don't you start looking at the cribs while I grab him a few more toys and meet you over their," Soarin asked.
"Ok, that works for me," Rainbow Dash said trotting over to the cribs department.
"Okay cloudy, what do you say we get you a teddy bear," Soarin asked a now giggling Cloud Chaser.
Cloud Chaser looked up from his toys and looked at Soarin with a cute little grin stretched across his face.
"Aaaawwwwww!! You are so adorable, yes, you are, yes you are," Soarin cooed.
"Hey let's go get you a new bed, huh? how does that sound," Soarin asked.
Soarin pushed the cart towards the crib departments. His eyes where instantly drawn to a brightly colored mare with a rainbow mane.
"Find one you like yet," Soarin asked.
"I just don't know what type of bed I need to get. It has to be safe and functional. I mean some of the cribs have like attachments or side tables that hold stuff. But they can get in the way when you need to get to the foal quickly."
"Hhhhmmmmm.... I see what you mean," Soarin said tilting his head in thought.
Soarin's eyes wondered to a Wonderbolt themed crib with a shelf on the side.
"How about this one," he asked.
"Oh that one looks good, or did you pick that one just because your a wonderbolt?"
"Maybe, maybe not," Soarin said trying to look as innocent as he could with out laughing.
They both looked burst out into laughter.
"Ok, ok," Soarin said trying to stop himself from laughing.
"How about we get this crib," he asked. Chuckles still escaping past his tongue.
Rainbow Dash simply nodded her head still rolling with laughter.
Soarin smiled.
Man I really missed her. Did she miss me? She said she did when I first saw her, so of course she did! Oh she's so cute when she laughs. I remember she never used to laugh. Until one day I was determined to figure out why. Why she was always alone and never spoke except to cause trouble. I remember trying to find her after school to talk but loosing all trace of her. I was looking till dark and it was really starting to rain heavily. I was about to give up when I heard the faint sound of crying.
"Are you okay?"
"G-go away! I don't need you! I Dont need any pony!" A small skinny filly yelled.
"Every pony needs somepony at some point," I told her.
"No," she argued. But stopped once a strong gust of wind blew and she began to shiver.
"Come on, come with me, it's to safe for you to be out here all by your self."
"No! I don't need you!" The rainbow colored filly yelled. She looked to be on the verge of tears. Ss another bone chilling gust of wind sliced through the air.
I came up to her and wrapped my wings around her to keep her as warm as I could.
"Every pony needs some pony at some point," I told her. Rainbow Dash simply burst into tears.
I took her to my secret hideout. An attic of an abandon building. It looked like it had been rebuilt inside to make a bedroom or living space. It had a bedroom, bathroom and a small stove.
I fixed it up and made some make shift cloud beds and his all my sweets and other favorite foods and toys there.
Surprisingly the electricity and lights still worked inside.
I brought her there and helped her get cleaned up with a warm bath. After, once she was dry ,I made her a few sandwiches.
I preened her wings while she ate. Something she surprisingly let me do without argue. They looked really banged up and like they hadn't been preened in over a decade.
I didn't know why at the time, and I still don't now, but I felt like I had to be there for her. To hold her, so I did. I remember cradleing her in my hooves and stroking her mane. My wings wrapping around her like warm protective blankets determined not to let any harm break in.
She was hurt, she was hurt real bad. It definitely took a while, but I finally got her to talk. She broke down. Told me everything. She was sobbing her heart out.
I got her all warm and snuggled up, and she fell fast asleep. It was evident that she was In dire need of rest.
I told her she could come to my hide out when ever the abuse got to bad. But it wasn't long after that some pony caught us. And we weren't allowed to go there anymore. They told us that abandoned buildings weren't safe for little fillies and colts to play in.
I snapped back to reality just in time for Rainbow Dash to finally calm herself.
"Alright, let's get going," I told her as I picked up the crib and put it in the back of the cart.
"Thanks again Soarin, for all your help. I'll pay you back the first chance I get I promise!"
I smiled, "don't worry about it dashie! it's my pleasure, besides I want to do this. And remember. I'm a wonderbolt! I litterly have more money than I know what to do with! If you ever need help I'll be more that happy to help you out!"
Rainbow dash smiled.
Soarin's always so sweet and kind. He's always been there for me. He's my best friend and he always will be. Us getting drawn apart is probably all my fault. I followed Soarin to the check out line. I should have know he'd probably been to busy to write or do so much as even think about it. I should have written to him. Maybe things would have turned out different. Maybe we never would have been cut off from each other like we were. Never contacting one another. I'm not really sure what to think of him. Lately I've been having strange feelings towards him... girly feelings. But I like it..... I-i-I think I'm falling in love. Is it possible he loves me back? Of course he doesn't! He's a Wonderbolt for ponies sake! I'm probably nothing but just another ordinary fan girl to him! The only difference is the fact that he knew me before he became a Wonderbolt....
Rainbow Dash sighed sadly. But smiled when she looked up and saw Soarin playing with Cloud Chaser as the cashier rang up all of the items.
At home after the nursery was set up;
Rainbow Dash let out a loud yawn.
"Looks like Cloudy isn't the only pony who needs a nap," Soarin said, gently nuzzling Rainbow Dash.
"Ugh, Rainbow Dash groaned.
"Hey!" Rainbow Dash yelled as Soarin grabbed her and pulled her up off the ground.
"Put me down!"
"Nope! Sorry sweetheart, but your going to sleep whether you like it or not," Soarin said slowly gliding down the stairs"
"Now come on Rainbow Dash! Please the trial is tomorrow, and you look like your going to pass out dead asleep any minute! Look I promise, I'll stay here tonight and take care of Cloud Chaser. You just focus on getting some sleep. I'll even be there at the trial tomorrow if you want me to," Soarin said.
"R-really you'll come to the trial?"
"Of course! Sweetie you really just need to get some sleep, like ASAP! Don't worry! Everything will turn out ok, I'm sure of it! And I'll take care of Cloud Chaser tonight, okay," Soarin said gently, more telling than asking. "Just get some rest."
Rainbow Dash yawned she was already half asleep. She just couldn't keep her eyes open much longer no matter how hard she tried.
"C-clouds hard to take care of at night," Rainbow Dash said sleepily.
"Oh come on! That cutie upstairs? How much work could he possible be?"
"You'd be surprised," Rainbow Dash said but was interrupted by another yawn.
Soarin smiled gently and bean to massage her back. Rainbow dash fell asleep almost instantly.
Soarin had finally fallen asleep next to Rainbow Dash when all of the sudden!-
"WWWWWWAAAAAAHHHHHHH" Cloud Chaser cried at the top of his lungs.
Soarin fell off the couch in surprise,
"Mmmnnnn" Rainbow Dash mumbled as she stirred in her sleep.
"Ssshhhh, it's okay Rainbow, go back to sleep," Soarin said coving her with the blanket and giving her a quick nuzzle.
Soarin flew up the stairs as fast as he could and reached down into Cloud Chasers crib and picked him up.
"Ssssshhhh. Ssssshhh, sssshhhh, it's ok, it's okay," Soarin shushed. "It's alright I promise," Soarin said gently. Cloud Chaser looked at him uncertainly, his eyes brimming with tears and his little lip quivering into a frown.
"See look silly faces," Soarin said making a bunch of silly faces.
"Hehehe," Cloud Chaser giggled.
"See that's better. Now what's the problem? Why-"
Soarin was cut off when a horrible smell reached his nostrils. Soarin's pupils shrank to the size of pin dots and his eyes began to water as he shook his head and covered his nose trying to get rid of the awful smell.
"This isn't going to be as easy as I hoped ............"
"Spit Fire I think there's something you should know," Fleetfoot said sadly.
"Huh," Spit Fire questioned.
"Fleet what are you talking about? And what are you even doing here? I thought you said you were going to the bowling ally."
"Yeah, I was but..."
"But," Spit Fire asked raising an eyebrow.
"I-I didn't. I stopped when I overheard Soarin having a conversation with Rapid Fire," Fleetfoot said trailing off.
"Ggggrrrr! Fleetfoot how many times does every pony pony have to tell you! Do not to eavesdrop on other ponies conversations!" Spit Fire yelled fuming.
It wasn't just Fleetfoot being Fleetfoot this time. This time it involved Soarin. HER SOARIN! No pony else's HER'S.
Spit fire began screaming and yelling at Fleetfoot for how she shouldn't have done that to Soarin. But went silent when she heard Fleetfoot speak.
"He's in love," Fleetfoot shouted.
Spit Fire blushed but looked at Fleetfoot waiting for her to continue.
"He's in love with-"
"YES! I knew he loved me!" Spit Fire yelled cheering.
"Fleet Foot I'm so sorry for yelling at you I-"
"I am sorry too," Fleetfoot said, shaking her head sadly.
"Huh? Why are you sorry?"
"I'm sorry because you have to know this. Soarin isn't in love with you Spit Fire... He's in love with a different mare."
Spit Fire was silent her eyes welling with tears
"Wha-what d-do you mean? He called my spits a-and....Who?"
"W-what," Fleetfoot asked surprised by her sudden change of attitude.
"W-who," Spit Fire repeated shakily.
"Her name is Rainbow Dash," Fleetfoot replied quietly.
Spit Fire then burst out of the room tears streaming down her face.

Hey every pony! I'm happy to announce that 'Rainbow's Dark Origins' is now officially complete! I'm sorry I know I said I was going to do at least 6 more chapters a few chapters ago but I decided to end it here. Just know I'm probably going to make a 'Rainbow's Dark Origins; 2' in the future, so stay tuned! Also I don't know if I said anything about having Rainbow Dash open up a restaurant or not because I thought about doing that but anyways, I hope you enjoyed this story because I really enjoyed writing it! I'm sorry but I litterly know nothing about how the law works, except for what I watch in law and order on TV. So please excuse me if I did some thing wrong! Also please like and comment! I will be finishing 'Soarin, my changeling' soon and then I'll get started on my 'Rainbow Dash The Vampire'! I have several stories planned I just need to get time to write and edit them. Hee hee, anyways I hope you like this story! By the way just know this chapter won't come put like you expect!

The Trial
"Mr. Spectrum Blaze, Ms. Firefly you both are both being charged with;
"What how in equestria are we being charged with burglary" Firefly yelled in questioning Fury.
"You were trespassing on a school campus without a visitors tag! You had no right to be on school grounds," our lawyer said calmly.
Everything Firefly was now saying, I couldn't hear. All the memories came flowing back. The happy memories. I remember pushing my little Dashie in a swing and her mother recording her on the camera trying to encourage her to talk. I remember cradling my little Rainbow Dash when she would have nightmares and her mother singing her a lullaby as she fell to sleep. I-I know my wife's name But I can't say it nor think it. What have I done? Has it really been ten years?!? It couldn't have been ten years. It felt like it was just yesterday all the abuse all the things I've been told I've done.... Fly told me they were just dreams that she knew what was best for me and my little girl. She said she was taking care of Rainbow Dash, Firefly said the dreams were just me being worried with how she as coping without her mother, and that I wasn't mentally stable enough to be around her.... That the alcohol would help me relax and to just take a break from everything.
"Sir? sir!"
"Huh," I asked.
"If your ready I would like to discuss the case with you and your wife," he said gesturing to Firefly.
The case? Oh he's our lawyer. Wait?!? What?!? She's not my wife she's my mental therapist I thought to myself trying to stay focused.
"W-what?!?! She's not my wife, my wife's dead," I yelled confused. I jumped out of my chair whipping my head around to stare as Firefly.
"She's not my wife," I repeated. "She's my mental therapist! What is going on," I asked as I starting to panic. Then the guard grabbed me and pushed me against the table pulling my arms around my back.
"Now, what do you mean she's not your wife?"
"I just told you she's not my wife," I yelled. "What is going on?!?! why am I here?!?"
"Your here because you abused your children! You hurt your daughter to the point to where she ran away and has been living on her own as an orphan on the streets sense she was six years old! You kidnapped
"What are you talking about?!? I don't have a son! I only have one daughter," I yelled.
"Your idiot," Firefly yelled, "I knew I should have gotten rid of you once in for all! You along with that little bitch you call a daughter! All I wanted was you money! Your dead to me! I wish you were dead!"
"I don't know what's going on but leave my daughter out of this," I screamed pulling free from the guard, and punching Firefly in the face. The guard yanked me off of her and out of the room, he as well as another guard accompanied me into a different room. They put me inside and pushed me down into a chair. They then proceeded by cuffed my hooves to the table.
"Stay here. Your new lawyer will be here to meet with you as soon as we get you one," one of the guards said, as he followed the other guard out of the room before slamming the door.
"What the hell just happened," Flash century asked the police chief. I don't know, but I do know this case just got a lot more complicated. I'll tell you one thing, I've worked in law enforcement long enough to know when some ponies lying, and he wasn't lying. Ponies can get drunk and make STUPID decisions. But no matter how drunk a pony is theirs no way they could do something as crazy as get married without even knowing. Especially for 10 years!"
"What exactly are you saying," Flash asked curiously.
"I'm saying he was being controlled with drugs. You heard Spectrum Blaze, she was his mental therapist. A mental therapist has access to all kinds of medicines and drugs to help their mental patients. So let's start with her line of work and get some evidence."
"But I thought we collected all the evidence for the trials this afternoon, Flash said.
"Yes, but now something's come up. The trial isn't until 4:30 this afternoon is only 7:00 we still have time. This may just be the amount of time we need to turn this whole case around," Chef said.
"So you seriously think he's innocent," said a very unsure Flash.
"Maybe you have a point. Maybe this is worth looking into after all," Flash said thinking.
"Ok good, you call him in a layer, and I'll pull up Firefly's work records. let's see if these two's stories match up."
"Yes sir," flash saluted.
He swiftly trotted to Cheif's office to call in a lawyer.
Sighs, "why do I get the feeling that this is not going to be an easy case," Chief asked to no pony in particular. Chief rubbed his temples trying to relieve the forming migraine, and trotted over to the computer, to pull up Firefly's records involving mental patients.
Soarin woke up and yawned.
"Ugh, what a night," he said finally managing to wake himself up.
Soarin stretched and looked to his right. He smiled when he saw the peaceful figure of Rainbow Dash sleeping soundly. All Soarin could hear was the gentle, faint sound of her breathing and a slight snore. He watched her contently as her chest softly went up and down with each breath she took. Soarin gently and silently stroked Rainbow Dash's rainbow colored mane gently with his hoof, and Rainbow Dash lazily fluttered her eyes opened and yawned. Soarin wrapped his wings around her and pulled her into his chest. Rainbow Dash snuggled her head into his chest. They laid there in each other imbrace for a long time. Rainbow Dash finally came back to her senses and realize what she was doing and quickly away.
"Ha ha ha heh heh," she chuckled nervously.
Both Soarin and Rainbow Dash were blushing deeply.
"Anyway's, what time is it," Rainbow Dash asked, desperate to change the topic.
"O,h um," Soarin glanced at the clock. "7:45," he answered.
"Okay, I want to leave and meet with my lawyer soon, so I need to get ready."
"You mean we," Soarin corrected.
"Y-your really coming," Rainbow Dash asked much more enthusiastically then she meant to. Once Rainbow Dash realized what she said she instantly changed her tone. "I mean that's cool, only if you want, I'm not going to stop you," she said nonchalantly.
"Of course I am! I said I would didn't I?"
"Well yeah, but I thought that maybe you were just caught up in the heat of the moment. I wasn't really sure if you could come. I mean I want you there don't get me wrong. It's just I thought you'd end up being busy, I mean your a Wonderbolt! And I'm just just some ordinary Pegasus pony. I thought you were going to get called in or something was going to happen and-"
"Hey," Soarin said gently.
He reached over and put his hoof under her chin and pulled it up so they were looking straight into each others eyes.
"You are not ordinary! You are a beautiful strong mare who's a fantastic flier! Can do a sonic rainboom and are always some pony I can count on! You always put others before yourself and now you doing it again here for Cloud Chaser. Trust me, no ordinary pony would do that. You are anything but ordinary."
Rainbow Dash blushed, "thanks," she mumbled.
Soarin chuckled,
"So where's Cloud chaser," Rainbow Dash asked. "He wasn't to much trouble was he," Rainbow Dash said nervously.
"Oh um.... It had its up's and down's. I don't feel tired, so I must have gotten some sleep at some point," Soarin said flashing her a goofy grin. "Anyways he's upstairs sleeping."
"Ok good," Rainbow Dash said falling onto the couch lazily.
"Ugh! I keep forgetting to buy groceries, we have nothing here for breakfast. We'll have to stop and get something on the way to meet with my lawyer."
"I know! How about we stop down at Pony Joe's? It's the best family restaurant in EQUESTRIA," Soarin exclaimed.
"That good? Huh, I don't know, I heard the food's not so great there," Rainbow Dash said.
"W-w-w-what?!?! What are you talking about the food there is AMAZING!!!! Soarin got so frustrated with all his yelling that he started snorting.
Soarin was interrupted when Rainbow Dash burst into laughter.
"I know ya goof! I've never heard a bad thing about that place! I'm just messing with you," Rainbow Dash said laughing so hard tears were coming from her eyes. "B-but when you started snorting that was hilarious!" Rainbow dash said breaking into another fit of laughter.
"Ugh! Whatever," Soarin said flatly clearly not amused.
"What do you say to waking up Cloud Chaser and getting an early breakfast before it gets too crowded," Soarin huffed.
"Alright fine, you win Mr. Grouchy Pants," Rainbow Dash said, now finally being able to keep herself under control without laughing.
"Hello Mr. Spectrum Blaze," said a tall tan stallion with dark brown hair.
"My name is Secondary Witness, I'll be representing you in the upcoming trial this late afternoon. So what can you tell me about what happened?"
I sat their stunned, unsure of what was going on, nor of what to say.
"Um,"
Mr. Secondary witness must have noticed my confusion because he began to ask me questions.
"So, you said that Miss.Firefly was you mental therapist?"
"Yes that is correct. Right before my wife......died.....she told me some very shocking things I didn't know about my daughter. I was angry at the time because of the situation and as a result I yelled at my daughter. I didn't mean it and I felt horrible about what I said. That's when I started drinking. Then one day I had a dream where I had actually hurt Rainbow Dash. I, I thought it was a dream, but when I got up to go get her ready for school. She, she was hurt. I didn't know what to do. I kept her home the last week of school. I kept drinking until about three days later I finally gave up. It wasn't getting better, so I decided to go to a mental therapist. She told me the alcohol was good for me. That it was my way of coping..."
I remember now. I need to tell them, I don't care what happens to me. I just want the truth. What have I done? I never truly hurt Rainbow Dash did I? Oh if I did I will never forgive myself! My mind yelled at me. I couldn't seem to take the dazed expression off my face no matter how hard I tried.
"I know this is hard but please continue," my lawyer Mr. Secondary Witness encouraged me.
"She told me...," I began shakily.
"At the next appointment she told me that I, that I, never hurt Rainbow Dash that I never would. She said that the pain I thought I was causing her, was simply my imagination trying to express the pain I felt about my wife. That my mind was taking my pain out on something else I loved because I knew she wasn't coming back. Firefly always told me that it would stop in time. That hurting Rainbow Dash was simply my imagination. She told my that Rainbow Dash may have been scared because of my behavior from when I was drunk. Firefly said that every time I saw her being hurt was nothing more than my imagination. She said that while I was at work or asleep she went and checked on my little Rainbow Dash and she said that she was fine. That their wasn't a single mark on her. She said to just continue with the alcohol, maybe even try some drugs. I thought she was crazy but she told me that it was my way of grieving and things would only ever get better if I did exactly what she said. I said no, but agreed when she told me that this was the best thing to do for my daughter's sake. She started prescribing me drugs after that..... But I, I can't seem to recall anything else after that... What happened? where's Rainbow Dash?!? Where's my little girl!?!?"
"Relax Mr.Spectrum Blaze, please, now I know this is hard to hear but I need you to listen to what I tell you. I need you to stay calm and quiet until I have finished explaining okay? This is important and we're running out of time. The trial is only hours away, so I need to get all the facts," Mr. Secondary Witness told me.
"Okay, I will listen," I confirmed.
"You are being charged with;
"B-but how? I I don't even have a son! How am I possible being charged with all of this?"
"Well now this is the part where I need you to please stay quite and listen so that I can explain."
"Okay! please explain what's going on," I said hastily getting straight to the point.
"Okay, these are the facts about what's happened that I can tell you."
* Your wife died over10 years ago.
*You have a 13 year old son named Comet Streak. His mother's name is Comet Blaze. DNA tests have proved that he is on fact your son.
*You did abuse your daughter. You abused her to the point where she ran away. She has been living as an orphan on the streets for ten years. She is now 16 years of age and is fighter for Cloud chasers custody.
* You married firefly she used her job to gain control over you and her life.
*She abused your daughter.
*You had a colt with her. He was three days old when you starved him and left him to die. His name is
*Your daughter came and called 911 when your son Comet Streak managed to use the phone and contact her after you and firefly kidnapped him from his school and abused him.
*You are being charged with assault and battery because you harmed your children, and punched firefly in the nose.
*You are being charged with kidnapping because you kidnapped your 13 year old son from school, and
*You are being charged with three counts of child abuse because you abused all three of your children.
*You are being charged with usage of drugs and harassment for how you treated Comet Blaze.
*Your are being charged with burglary because you trespassed on a school campus.
*And last but not least your being charged with attempted murder for how you abandoned you 3 day old colt in a dumpster with plastic around his head and face.
"Now your daughter is fighting for custody over your three day old son. No matter what we do, as of now, the chance of you getting life in prison is most likely. However the Chief and Flash century are looking into Firefly's records, to see if we can find evidence that proves that she used your mental condition to take advantage of you. She already said to the guards that all she wanted was your money, so now we have a motive. The shortest sentence we can get you with evidence we have, unless Chief and Flash find more evidence, is by pleading guilty. And if that happens than their's a chance of Firefly getting off the hook and you avoiding the death penalty."
"W-what?!?! Your telling me that if I pled I'll get life, and that the mare who started all of this will get off just fine?!?!?! The fact that you punched her will go as evidence that you are unstable and not safe to be around. This fits with the charges of abuse and she may claim that you abused her. Because of this, many charges are likely to get dropped. Theirs no proof that she had any plans to kill the foal, except for the two witnesses. And one of the witnesses is your 13 year old son, who is going to have to testify in court. The court hasn't decided if it's okay to allow him to testify even if he agrees. They're afraid it'll put to much emotional stress on the colt. The other witness is your daughter who saw you leave the dumpster where the colt was found, and we have security footage to prove it. Plus Firefly was never even charged with harassment because she never had contact with miss Comet Blaze. So already right their are the majority of the charges dropped. "Yup! Alright, here's what I found out before Firefly joined the bolts. She worked as a mental therapist, so
"Wow! That's a lot of money," Flash commented.
"Yup it is. Now if you noticed all of these large transactions were from her patients. Not only that but she somehow found a way to get her name on their health insurance! So basically if one of her patients die she gets up to a million dollars! I mean outside of the insurgence the separate transactions are at least 150 grand and up! And hey you'll like this Spectrum Blaze was her last patient. Also I did a little digging and I found out she wasn't really kicked out of the bolts for injury."
"She wasn't," Flash asked, shock written all over his face.
"Nope! She did drugs. But due to contract she was entitled to the right to claim injury."
"Seriously!? Man this whole thing is crazy! How did she get away with this for this long?"
"I don't know, but I do know that most of her patients are no longer living....."
"You don't seriously mean that she killed ALL these ponies and still hasn't gotten caught, do you," Flash
"It appears so, but this is good hard evidence. This should bee enought to put and keep her behind bars. However it will be completely solid if we can get that 13 year old what's his name?"
"Um, it's, Comet Streak I believe."
"Yes, it will only be fully solid if we can get Comet Streak to testify. Then we will have proof that she was

"Now, I beleive we have a call to make."

"Honey," Comet Blaze said, trotting into her sons room.
Comet streak looked up,
"Hey Mom," Comet replied weakly.
"Honey, I need to talk to you about something important,"
she said sitting on the bed and handing Comet Streak a cup of tea. Comet sat up propped up on a pillow and excepted the tea. Comet Streak took a sip,
"Mom? is something wrong?"
Comet Blaze signed. " Honey I know you didn't want to, but the police just called and they really need you
"I'll do it," Comet Streak said.
Comet Blaze said nothing. She just stared at all the bandages and bruises that covered her son's head and body.
"Ok," was all Comet Blaze said, before she got up and quickly trotted out of the room. Tears filling her eyes.
Comet leaned back in his bed. He shakily took a deep breath. His whole body was shaking. Comet Streak closed his eyes. He swallowed the hard lump that was in his throat. He just had to testify, then no pony would ever be able to hurt him again. He just had to testify, it would be ok. Right?
"Hey Soarin, what can I get you this fine morning," Pony Joe asked, trotting up and pulling out a pad of
"The usual," Pony Joe asked.
"Yup, the usual," Soarin confirmed with a smile.
"Man Soarin, how'd you get a marefriend like her? The only thing I ever thought you'd date was a sugar coma from all those sweets," Joe teased.
"I'm not sure if I should be happy or insulted," Soarin said utterly confused.
Then Soarin heard Rainbow Dash crack up laughing, and Cloud Chaser giggling in his high chair.
"Hey munchkin," Soarin said, ruffling Cloud Chasers mane.
"ya ya ya ya," Cloud giggled.
"And what will you be having miss....."
"Rainbow Dash," Rainbow Dash said.
"Okay Miss Rainbow Dash, what'll you be having today," Joe asked.
"Um," Rainbow Dash picked up the menu, and quickly skimmed over it until something caught her eye.
"How are the blueberry pancake's," Rainbow Dash asked curiously.
"Delicious! I promise you that you will like them, in all honesty they're my favorite thing on the menu," Joe told them.
"Alright, I'll have that then thanks," Rainbow Dash said handing him the menu.
"Alright your food will arrive shortly," Joe told Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash sighed.
"You ok," Soarin asked tenderly.
"Yeah I guess. I think it's just nerves. I just don't know what happened to him Soarin. He's my Dad, he
Soarin reached over and put a hoof under her chin so she would look him in the eye.
"Hey, I don't know what the future holds but I do know that things are going to get better. Neither of us knows what the future holds. But hopefully, now the truth will be revealed. Maybe he had some problemnot blame yourself! I'm sure the trial will help reveal part of what was going on."
"I hope so," Rainbow Dash said sadly, Soarin wiping away her tears.
"But why? Why did he do this to me," Rainbow Dash thought to herself.
Rainbow Dash then smelled something delicious. She looked up and saw a plate of pancakes and a glass of orange juice be put in front of her.
"Here are you two's pancakes," Pony Joe said with a smile.
"Thank you," Soarin called out, as Joe trotted back to the kitchen.
Then a little musical tune started playing. Soarin looked at a giggling Cloud Chaser as he played with his toy, Soarin smiled.
"Sheesh Soarin, did you get enough sweets," Rainbow Dash asked as she examined the gigantic ice cream Sunday.
It was a gigantic bandanna split, with several scoops of both vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream. Then to top it off it was COVERED with every possible type of topping. It had rainbow sprinkles, m&m's, chocolate turtles, cherries, chocolate sirup, chocolate chips, strawberries, and many other that Rainbow Dash couldn't even name if she tried!
"What this? Naw, we haven't even gotten to dessert yet," Soarin exclaimed before literally digging his face into the ice cream Sunday.
Rainbow Dash simply rolled her eyes, while shaking her head with a smile.
"Yup that's Soarin alright, hasn't changed a bit," Rainbow Dash muttered quietly to herself. while still shaking her head as a small smile creeped onto her face.
"How does the defendant plead?"
My lawyer, Mr. Secondary Witness stood up and cleared his throat.
"Me and my client have come to the decision to plead guilty," Mr. Secondary Witness paused allowing the information to sink in,
As murmurs began to be head throughout the court room.
"Perfect," Firefly said quietly to herself. A smug grin on her face.
"However," Mr. Secondary Witness continued, "he will not be excepting the deal."
The judge looked shocked. "W- why would you plead guilty and not except the deal," The judge demanded. "In all my years of working here, no pony has refused a deal on such a high charged sentence and plead guilty!"
I spoke before Mr. Secondary Witness got the chance.
"Because I want the truth," I yelled, before calming myself. "I want to know if everything my lawyer told me is true. If it is true then I want whatever the punishment you see fit. If really did do all those things, then it's what I deserve! I never wanted to hurt my daughter. That's why I started going to mental therapy and that's when I first met Firefly. She told me that I never hurt her," I said looking at Rainbow Dash, tears filling my eyes. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before continuing. She told me they were nothing more than hallucinations."
"Ggggrrrrr you bitch,"Firefly yelled, "I knew I should have gotten rid of you while I still had the chance," she yelled.
"Order! Order," the judge yelled. The guards ran up and restrained Firefly when she tried to come at me.
"Mrs. Firefly how do you plead," the judge asked.
"Not guilty,' Firefly yelled.
"Good, now settle down, or I'll have you removed from this court room!"
"Fine," Firefly huffed.
"Miss Dash you are trying to gain custody over cloud chaser, is this correct?"
"Yes your honor," Rainbow Dash said. I saw her shaking when she met Firefly's gaze. Soarin put a

"Okay Mr.Secondary Witness, do you have anything to say before we begin?"
"Yes, Mrs. Firefly used her job to drive Mr. Spectrum Blaze crazy!"
The entire crowed gasped.
"Mr. Secondary witness that's quite a large accuse-ion. Can you prove it," the judge asked.
"Um, sorta-"
"Sorta," the judged asked.
"You see-"
"Stop! Hold everything," Flash century yelled, as him and chief ran inside the court room.
"Your honor we believe we found some very important evidence that may bring some light on the situation."
"I'm listening," the judge said raising an eyebrow curiously.
"You see, we found Mrs. Firefly's work record and patients," Chief said, as flash handed the file to the judge.
"As you can see almost all of the patients are deceased, and all of them had life insurgence addressed to not their families but their therapist Mrs. Firefly! And we also did some more digging and we found out that she was not let go from the Wonderbolts because of an accident or injury but because she kept doing drugs! The only reason this was not known to the public was because, due to her contract she had the right to claim injury! It was then that she went back to her profession as a therapist and met Mr. Spectrum Blaze. We now have reason to believe that she was using her job to prescribe drugs, and give bad advice so that she could gain control over her patients, and get her dirty hooves on their money!"
The crowed supervising the scene gasped in shock.
"Not only that, but I myself and Chief have both witnessed Firefly yell that basically he and his daughter were nothing more than a mistake! She said and I quote "I knew I should have gotten rid of you," Flash explained to the court.
The crowd gasped again.
"Order, order," the judge demanded.
"Mr. Spectrum Blaze please come to the stand and tell us your side of the story."
"Yes your honor," I said getting up and trotting over to the stands.
"Do you promise to say the truth and nothing but the truth?"
"I do," I pledged.
"You may speak when ever your ready Mr. Blaze," the judge told me.
"After my wife died I was upset. I yelled at my daughter Rainbow Dash and told her that it was her fault her mother was dead. I didn't mean it. I felt horrible for saying it, so after the funeral I couldn't take it anymore. I started drinking, it wasn't until I had what I thought was a dream where I hurt my little Rainbow Dash did I try to get help. I remember stabbing her with the pitcher frame until it broke and the glass cut her. I must have passed out because when I woke up I was on the living room floor. I-I panicked. I went in to see if Rainbow Dash was ok and she was scared. I've never seen some pony be so scared. I didn't know what to do, so I kept her home from school. I locked her in her room while I went to a mental therapy. That's where I met Firefly. She told me that Rainbow Dash wasn't hurt that I was hallucinating. That I was hurting, and my imagination was getting the better of me. That my mind was taking out my pain on the things I cared about most. She said she was probably just scared because of the behavior she may have seen from me. She told me to keep drinking alcohol. That it was ok, that it was my way of coping with the ordeal of my wife's death. She prescribed me some drugs. Every time I thought I hurt Rainbow Dash, she said that I hadn't. Firefly always told me that she had actually gone and seen Rainbow Dash while I was asleep and checked on her. She said she was fine."
"Mr. Blaze did you ever see Firefly check on your daughter," the judge asked me.
"No," I replied.
"That's not true, you bitch," Firefly yelled!
"Order, order," the judge demanded.
"Your honor, I call 13 year old Comet Streak to the stands", Mr. Secondary diary witness interrupted.
"Mr. Blaze please take a seat."
I got up and went to my chair besides Mr. Secondary Witness.
"Your honor! You can't possibly expect a 13 year old colt to testify after what Mr. Spectrum put him thought," Firefly's lawyer exclaimed, pointing and accusing hoof towards me.
"I'll allow it," the judge said. "He agreed of his own free will. However thank you for bringing that up. Gaurds please have mrs. Firefly escorted out while the colt testifies."
"What?!? You can't do this to me! You won't get away with this," Firefly screamed, as she was forced out the door.
I turned my head to see a bright red colored colt with a fiery orange mane. He was covered in bruises and bandages all over his head. He was talking to my little girl. Heh, little. She looks so grown up. I'm so proud of her. I wish I could take this all back. I wish I was a real dad to her and watch her grow up... But instead I ruined her foal hood. I wish I could Just fix everything, go back in time and give her the life she deserved. The young colt looked upset. I saw my daughter, Rainbow Dash, she was hugging him tightly. She was talking to him. Saying things that witch I could not hear. If I could have heard what she said, I would have been able to tell you. After a few minutes it looked like he finally mustered up the courage to make it to the stands.
"Comet streak you may begin when ever your ready, and you can stop at any point when you get uncomfortable."
"Okay," Comet Streak said shakily, barly above a whisper.
"I was walking on the side hallway at the end of the school to my next class, when two ponies jumped out of nowhere and grabbed me. Those ponies were Firefly and him." Comet Streak said pointing to me.
"They dragged me into the carriage," Comet Streak said. I punched Firefly in Face to try and get her off of me. And he, Comet said pointing to me, hit me in the face and pushed me down. My head slammed into the floor of the carriage and I think I passed out Because when I woke up I was in the house. Basically when I woke up it felt like Firefly especially started beating me. It wasn't until she started repeatedly ramming my head into the coffee table did I finally pass out again. When I woke up... I heard a foal crying. Spectrum Blaze asked Firefly if she had fed it since they left the hospital. She said no. He told her to feed it and she told him that it was his kid, and that unless he wanted to go up and feed it then it could wait. She then said that if it can last three days then it can last a little longer. Finally she got tired of hearing it crying and she managed to convince him to get rid of the foal. All I saw was him leave with the foal in his hooves and Firefly leaving to go get more alcohol. I managed to sit up after they left and get to the phone on the table. I called my sister. She said she was coming and that help would be there soon. She told me to lay down and stay very still and to try to stay awake. So I laid down on the floor. It was only a few seconds later when Firefly walked in and see that the phone wasn't on the dial. She stood over me and punched me in the face repeatedly. That's all I remember. Everything else just seemed to go black. I woke up and I was in the hospital with my Mom by my side."
"Okay, thank you Comet Streak that's all we need. You may go home, thank you for helping us. That's really brave of you."
He quietly went out of the room as fast as he could.
"How could I allow this to happen," I ask out loud to myself.
"Please bring in Mrs.Firefly," the judge ordered.
The guards brought in Firefly. She sat next to her lawyer and gave me a death glare. I simply sat there quietly, keeping my thoughts and tears to myself.
"Mrs. Firefly would you mind coming to the stands and testifying or tell us what's been going on," the judge asked.
"Yes, your honor," Firefly said, trotting up to the stands.
"What can you tell us about the events that have recently taken place?"
"Once Spectrum Blaze found out he had a son he was furious! He told me to help him kidnap the poor colt. I refused at first but then he hit me in the face! That's why I have this bruise on my face and-"
"OBJECTION!" Both Mr. Secondary witness and my daughter Rainbow Dash's lawyer yelled at the same time.
"Sustained, all questions are to be asked at the end of the testimony," the judge stated flatly.
"Please continue Mrs. Firefly."
"Yes your honor, finally I gave in, and he forced me to kidnap the colt. I met him back at home. He told me to go to the liquor store and that he'd take care of the baby, so I left. I didn't know what else to do, I was scared for my life! When I came back and the red colored colt's head had been smashed against the table. I ran upstairs to check on the foal, and the foal was gone. I came back down stairs, and I was about to check for a pulsed on the young colt. When I bent down to check Rainbow Dash barged into my home and tackled me to the ground," Firefly yelled. I watched in silent fury as she continued pointing an accusing hoof at my daughter.
"You liar," I heard Rainbow Dash yell.
"Order! order," the judge yelled.
"Miss. Dash please, you will get your chance to testify in a moment. But until then, please don't sink down to her level and disrupt my court room," the judge said now glaring at Firefly.
"Mr. Secondary witness, you may be the first to ask questions."
"Thank you your honor, Mrs. Firefly, first off are you saying that my client Spectrum Blaze is the cause of the bruise on your face?"
"yes he-"
"A yes or no answer will be suffice," he interrupted.
"And is it true that he forced you to kidnap 13 year old Comet Streak?"
"Yes."
"You where afraid, so you kidnapped him alone?"
"Yes that would be correct," Firefly said now fake crying.
"Then how come in the colt's testimonies, he claims he hit you in self defense?"
"Because he hit me," Firefly yelled.
"So the colt hit you not your husband," Mr. Secondary Witness questioned.
"Wait, um, n-no! It was Spectrum Blaze who hit me, Firefly accused.
"Mrs. Firefly your saying that both 13 year old Comet Streak and Spectrum Blaze hit you!? Even though you only have one bruise or mark on your face? I mean it's obvious that only one of them could have hit you!"
"It was that annoying colt!"
"Your honor, can't you see that she's lying! her whole story if falling apart!"
"Yes I can see that," the judge replied sharply.
"Mrs.Firefly! We have reason to be leave that you used your profession as a therapist to mentally abuse your patients to get their money!"
"I did no such thing-" Firefly started only to be interrupted.
"Silence! Do not interrupt me again! We also know that you were the main pony who beat 13 year old Comet Streak! According to our sources, who seem to have been correct so far, it was your idea to kill your 3 day old colt and to go get drugs and alcohol!"
"Objection! I never associated with drugs and alcohol nor laid a hoof on the children! I've never taken drugs in all my life," Firefly lied.
"Really? because according to the facts it says that you almost starved your three day old son to death, proves you neglected him! But we know for fact that you abused Comet Streak! We shall see if you did the same to Rainbow Aril Dashery once it's her turn to testify! Not only that, but based on your Wonderbolt records you were kicked out due to drug abuse! you were never injured!"
"W-what?!? How did you know all those things?!?! I-I mean-"
"Thank you for just confirming all of that information, now please take a seat!"
"No! I never did-!"
"Guards escort her to her seat. Now!"
After Firefly was was dragged back to her seat, I saw my daughter trot past me. She looked at me briefly but quickly looked away. She had tears in her eyes. She was always suck a tough, Strong and brave little filly.... but broke her.
"I ruined her foal hood, I ruined a part of her life that she can never get back..... How could I have done this to her," I said to myself as I cried silently.
"Okay Rainbow Dash can you please tell me what life was like living with your father and step mother from before you ran away," the judge asked.
"It- it was horrible. It was bad when my Dad started drinking. I remember I went to sleep and I woke up screaming because glass was being shattered and stabbing me. It cut into my skin, my Dad had stabbed me with a picture frame. He hit me so hard the entire frame and glass broke. I still have the scars but they aren't really noticeable any more. Things only got worse from there. It wasn't even a month after my mom died did my Dad start bringing Firefly home. Then they both kept drinking more and more with each passing day. Firefly's abuse was better is some ways but worse in others. Mainly because she starved me. My Dad always fed me, but after she came, I was never allowed to eat or come out of my room except for school. Firefly would always tear up my homework or books and then blame me for my bad grades. It only took a few days of her doing that to where I not longer cared about me grades. Firefly took all of my stuff. All of my toys and possessions. She took everything except for my saddle bags and bed. She even took the comforter off my bed and my Mom's portrait out of my room. She even put bars on my window. Then out of the blue they told me they were getting married. That's when I snapped. I couldn't take it any more, I wouldn't take it anymore. I planned my escape that night. It was just pure luck that they had been passed out from alcohol when I left, and that they forgot to lock my door. So when I was running out the door for what I thought would be the last time I ran into Comet Blaze. She's Comet Streak's mother. I talked to her and found out that I had a brother. She tried to report the abuse but just like I told her no pony would listen. My father was to highly respected in the community for any pony to believe us. So I lived on my own ever sense then. But I always was close to my Comet. He's my baby brother for ponies sake! He and his mom were literally the only family I had. I was in school and I got a call from Comet Streak. He told me that Dad had kidnapped him, and that he was going to hurt a foal. So after I got help I raced out looking for the foal. I saw my dad leaving and ally and zipped down to investigate."
"My heart shattered, my little girl.....What have I done!?"
"Miss. Dash, it comes to my attention that you want to take Cloud Chaser permanently under your care," the judge asked.
"Yes your honor, that is correct," Rainbow Dash confirmed.
"Now tell me Rainbow Dash can you support the foal? And do you have a second guardian?
"I, um, well, you see-second guardian," Rainbow Dash asked confused.
i]That's it I'm doomed Rainbow Dash thought to herself while fighting back freshly forming tears.
I watched as my little Dashie just about broke down on the stand, until some pony spoke.
"I will!"
The crowd gasped.
I turned my head only to see a colt I've never seen before stand up.
"You Mr. Soarin are willing to take this foal into your custody also, the judge asked.
I saw Soarin look over to my daughter he give her a confident smile.
" I am, and I will do what ever it takes to make sure that both him and Dash are safe!"
"Aaaaawwwwww," every pony supervising the trial said. Soarin blushed but it was quick lived.
"As I was saying," the colt began. "I am more that willing to take Cloud Chaser into my life! I would love nothing more! He's the sweetest little thing in all of equestria! I'm Soarin. Not a wonderbolt but me, a pony, just like you and every pony else."
I listened intently, as he paused.
"But with that said I want to be able to care for and be able to be able to support them," Soarin said gesturing to Rainbow Dash. I may be a Wonderbolt but I'm still a pony. I have have feelings and wants bit most importantly I have a heart! And if giving up my place in the bolts is what it takes to be able to be with Rainbow Dash and Cloud Chaser and keep them in my life, then I'll do it! Letting this colt and Rainbow Dash have a happy life is more important than anything fame could ever give me. And it hurts knowing that that's all most ponies see in me. So, yes I'm a Wonderbolt. This is true but I'm also a pony, but that's not so much what hurts as it is the fact that ponies only want to get to know me as a Wonderbolt. They don't want to get to know me for me, not for who I am, but who I am as a Wonderbolt. Rainbow Dash is the pony who got me into the bolts in the first place. She is the pony who made this possible! My dream came true because of her, despite what she's been through she doesn't stop doing the right thing! She's the most loyal pony I've ever met, and don't anypony here dare doubt about how much Rainbow Dash cares for Cloud Chaser. I dare you to listen to this tape and look me in the eye and tell me she doesn't care."
I smiled happy tears started to fill me eyes. "Well done son", I whispered, "take good care of her for me."
"Play the tape," the judge ordered.

"Mrs. Firefly this is your only chance. This is the only choice we have if you want to avoid the death penalty," Firefly's lawyer tried to reason with her.
"That bitch won't get away with this," Firefly yelled.
"Your only option now to avoid the death penalty is to plead guilty," her lawyer told her, Frustration evident in his voice.
"No," Firefly growled, "I won't."
"Their's to much evidence against you. You have to tell them what you did and or know or you will certainly face the death penalty!"
"Fine! But just so you know, your a horrible lawyer, Firefly sneered.
"No your just a horrible pony," Firefly's lawyer snapped, "and yet I'm still trying to help you, so do us both a favor and don't interrupt the judge! And another thing absolutely positively NO OUTBURSTS," Firefly's lawyer yelled.
Firefly just growled in response.

I saw Firefly and the guards trot back into the court room she was glaring daggers at me. Her gaze was so sharp that it pierced through my very soul.
"Your honor my client and I have decided to change our plead. We have decided to plead guilty in exchange for not receiving the death penalty."
The crowd watching the trial gasped in horror!
"Your honor I call Mrs. Firefly to the stands," Mr. Secondary Witness called.
"Mrs. Firefly please come and sit down," the judge said.
Firefly surprisingly came and sat down without any lip.
"Do you solemnly promise to tell the truth and nothing but the truth?"
"Yes, I do," Firefly said with a sigh.
"Mrs. Firefly you may begin when ever ready," the judge told Firefly.
"Thank you," Firefly said politely.
I watched ready to listen silently. The reason I haven't said much of anything is because I simply don't know what to say. Their's no way to justify my actions nor do I want to. I just want to know the true story and find a way to make things right. I just don't know what to say or do to my daughter. I have a son? What am I supposed to say or do to that? I suddenly have to more children, I've never met before and I hurt them. Now all they're going to think is that their father's a monster. That's all they'll know or remember me by. The sad part is they're right I am a monster, an outer shell, Firefly ruined me. They won't ever want to be around me again, not if this is all they remember of me. Maybe it's for the best? I don't have the right to be around them. I highly doubt they'd want to be around me and I don't blame them. Once this all sorted out I'll try to make things right. If that doesn't work then I'll leave them alone. The last thing I ever want to do is cause them more pain than I already have.

Firefly's Story;
"I admit it. I did use my profession to get money," Firefly stated shamelessly.
The crowd was dead silent, waiting for her to continue.
"When I met Spectrum Blaze I was determined to get his money after I found out how rich he was. He was far richer than most of the other patients I've had in the past. But when I heard he had a daughter I was beyond furious! Mostly because of how much he cared for her..... None of my patients in the past had children most of them were all older couples. I knew that if anything happened to Spectrum everything would be sent to that little brat by default. All the money, the house, EVERYTHING! That's when I heard how he was afraid of hurting his daughter when I heard this it gave me an idea. I was going to trick him get him high. I picked drugs that would most likely make him the most aggressive and agitated. I planned on marrying him and having him kill his daughter. If some pony grew suspicious I was going to pretende to be histaricle like he killed her. Either way I'd have full access to the money and that's all that mattered. I tried to get him to kill her... Apparently he still had enough commen sense to keep her alive... I tried to get rid of that....I wanted him to be the last thing thing she saw. He wouldn't do it. I took everything away from the filly. Her toys, her pictures of her mother, everything. I even quite feeding her! Yet somehow she lived! I'd go over a week without feeding her and still she lived! He farther would always try to feed her, every time I saw this, I'd take the food and tell him that I would take it up to her . However as soon as his back was turned I would throw the food into the trash. I was so happy when I found her gone, but got so frustrated with Spectrum when he kept trying to find her. Every time he asked where she was I told him things like, she was at school or was spending the night with a friend ect. And he believed me, I mean we were married by then so it didn't matter to me. The money was mine for the taking and-!"
"Mrs. Firefly, I do believe that's enough," the judge said wearing a disgusted look on her face.
Firefly grew silent.
"The only other thing we need to know is did you kidnap Comet Streak, and was it your idea to kill the foal?"
"The answer is Yes, to both those questions."
The crowd, once again, for what felt like the millionth time gasped.
"I kidnapped and beat the colt purposely, I had full consent. Spectrum wanted me to feed the foal and I refused. It was my idea to get rid of the foal."
"Well Mrs. Firefly I do believe it is obviousness that you are guilty! I sentence you to 95 years to life with no bail!"
"As for you," the judge said turning to me.
I started listening carefully even though I knew full well I was getting the death chair.
"You will be sent to a detention center until you can be transported to a mental hospital. we will come back and review the evidence and decide on a punishment from their once you are in a more stable condition."
I sat there in shock unsure of what to say.
"Rainbow Dash, Soarin," the judge said turning his attention to my daughter.
"You two may sign Cloud Chasers new official birth certificate as his new official guardians."
"OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH!" My daughter shouted in excitement, as she bear hugged the life out of Soarin, I chuckled.
"At least now I know my daughter will be safe," I said with a smile, "and a stallion who will take care of her and keep her safe," says I.
"So my client will not be receiving a death penalty," my lawyer Mr. Secondary Witness asked after every pony else left the court room.
"No, and it is very unlikely he will get a life sentence. He was mentally abused the judge explained.
"Thank you," I said.
The judge nodded at me as he trotted out of the court room.
"I personally think you are a kind stallion, but you need to be carful with whom you trust. I don't know if you and your family can make amends but I do know that your mental state will get better in time," the judge told me giving me and encouraging smile.
I nodded to confirm that I understood what the judge was saying and smiled back.

Cameras began flashing news reporter ponies kept shouting question left and right.
They shouted things like "Soarin are you really this foals father?" "Soarin does this mean your a Wonderbolt dad now?" "Rainbow Dash is Cloud Chaser really your brother?" ,Did you really go through all that abuse? "
All the news reports went dead silent when they heard crying.
"Wwwaaaaahhhhhheheh," Cloud Chaser sobbed, clutching Rainbow Dash's neck as tight as he could with his little tiny hooves.
"Ssssshhhh, it's ok baby your ok I promise, Rainbow Dash cooed.
"Yeah, come on little stallion their just pesky news reporter ponies," Soarin said nuzzling Cloud's cheek.
Cloud chaser giggled.
Soarin playfully stuck his tough out at the reporters and they laughed as they continued to take photos.
Soarin blew raspberries on Cloud Chasers tummy before he broke out into a fit of squeezes and giggles.
"Dada, mama," Cloud Chaser squealed.
Rainbow Dash and Soarin gasped.
"ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!! Cloud Chaser just said his first words ," Rainbow Dash cheered in pure happiness.
Rainbow Dash froze she turned to the news reporters glaring.
"Now one of you better have had your cameras rolling because I want that footage! Some pony better have gotten it because your all going to get it, if all you guys have all those eyes and cameras sitting there being lazy and doing nothing!"
Every pony laughed, "Yes ma'am we got that footage loud and clear," bunch of news reporters called out.
"Good," Rainbow Dash said saluting as she looked down to a giggling Cloud Chaser.
"Rainbow dash?" I saw that light baby blue colored colt Soarin call.
Rainbow Dash turned to look at him curiously.
I saw Soarin bend down on one knee and take my daughters hoof in his.
"Rainbow Arial Dashery will you make me the happiest pony in Equestria and marry me?"
I smiled ",that a boy, you take care of her for me," I said watching them from the distance. As the guards helped me get transported to the detention center.
What happens next is up to the reader to decide. ;^)
Rainbow woke up the the loud pounding of her father banging on the door.
"Wake up, you bad excuse of a Pegasus-" he was cut off as he fell to the floor unconscious from all the alcohol.
Upon hearing her father, Rainbow jumped out of her bed as fast as she could. She folded her sheets the best she could to fit them in her saddle bags. she shoved them inside and smoothed down her mane. She picked up her saddle bags and shoved her carrots in her mouth, and darted out the door only to run right smack into a bright red mare!
"Whoa!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she tripped.
"Oh, are you okay sweetie?" She asked helping rainbow up.
"Yes." Rainbow replied. "Who are you? I've never seen you before?"
"My name is Comet Blaze." Comet Blaze had a blazing red coat and yellowy-orange mane with green eyes. She was waring a gentle smile on her face.
"What are you doing here?" Rainbow questioned her curiosity rising. She heard giggles and tilted her head to the side curiously towards the mares back, only to see a little colt staring back at her. He work a cute grin on his face.
"I'm hear to speak with Rainbow Blaze. You see we met up at a bar one time and we were both drunk, anyway long story short as a result I had comet streak here. I thought it would be a good idea to finally let him meet his father, and tell rainbow Blaze he has a son. She said with a smile."
NO! Rainbow yelled
"What?" Comet Blaze questioned surprised at the fillies outburst!
He will abuse him! And most likely let his pride get in the way, and fight for his custody! He has a lot of friends who work in law enforcement and is highly respected in the community, if you haven't noticed! My dad's mean, Really mean he has been to me ever scents my mother died. When he started drinking, it got worse when he met Firefly! Now they are getting married!! That's why I'm running away! I can't stay here anymore!"
Comet Blaze was shocked at the fillies outburst, and the words she used. She was clearly a very smart for a filly for her age. "What do you mean he abuses you? And that your running away? If he's really hurting you, you should have told and adult or called 911. She said seriously.
"I did! But like I said my dad's highly respected in the community, and has friends in law enforcement. They all didn't believe me and called me a liar, and or didn't want to rat out my dad!"
Comet Blaze eyed the bruises on the filly silently, not sure how to take in all this information.
Comet Streak would be better off, if our dad never knew about him! Rainbow continued. He could get hurt! Either way I'm not staying here! I'll be at the juniors speedsters flight school in Mrs.Windiths 1st grade class if you need me, Rainbow said.
"What?!? No! I'm not letting you go their all by yourself! How old are you 5, 6 maybe? You shouldn't be going all by yourself at this age! Come on, I will just have to contact law enforcement about this abuse. Those bruises are proof enough for me!
"Have you been listening at all! He is highly respected in the community! I already tried! Just stay out of it, and keep your foal away from my dad, and I mean that as his sister. She said her voice softening. He will just get a hold of him and he will be hurt, don't risk it! Besides I have a plan! I'll be fine, you can come check on me every day at flight school if you have to, but I'm not staying here! Neither should he and I have to get to school or I'll be late!"
Comet Blaze sighed "Ok, but I'm walking you to school." She said her mind screaming at her to tell law enforcement, but this filly clearly knew what she was talking about. She would keep quiet and at least keep an eye on her, and wait until she had a chance to think this over and about what she should do about the situation. At least for the time being.

Okay, I know in the last chapter I told you this chapter might take some time. However this one was short, and I already had the plans for it! So I thought I would knock it out before I started writing my next story. Hope you liked it!

New Student
Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had become pretty close. Naturally Rainbow Dash did most of the talking but today was different. Fluttershy had been scared all morning because Miss.Windith told the class that they would be having a new student.
"Come on Fluttershy," RainbowDash yelled!
Rainbow began pounding on the bathroom door.
"Come on this is getting ridiculous! You've been in their for two hours!" Rainbow Dash yelled her patience getting thin.
"No, go away! What if their mean and pick on me! Or, or-"
"Okay stop right their! You haven't even met them yet!"
"Well, if their mean maybe that's a good thing."
"Ugh come on Fluttershy! How do you know if their mean!? you haven't met her!"
"Thanks for your support but no thanks! I'm sorry Rainbow Dash but I just don't have the courage to risk it right now."
"Ugh, Fluttershy" Rainbow Dash groaned,
As she banged her head on the door. Then her ears pricked up as she hear an all to familiar noise.
"Not again" she mumbled.
"Fluttershy!, are you seriously crying!? come on imagine how alone and scared this new student could be! I heard she's a griffin! See!? Isn't that cool!?"
"Wwwwwwaaaaaaaaa" Fluttershy sobbed "And what is griffins are mean and scary-"
"Ugh "Fluttershy!" Rainbow said her blood starting to boil!
"She's a griffin for ponies sake! You being afraid of her proves my point! Most ponies are afraid of them of don't know what they are!?"
"Yeah well, I know what they are! And they are really scary!"
Sigh "That's why she will have a harder time adjusting and making new friends! So please come on! Do it for the new student!" Rainbow huffed,
"No!"
"Fluttershy!"
"No, I'm sorry Rainbow dash but I just don't have the courage right now."
"Ggggrrrrr" Rainbow growled in annoyance.
"Fine! Well, I'm going to meet the new student! I don't know what your problem is but fine! I'll go by myself! Some friend you are!"
Rainbow dash yelled angrily
"Fine then I guess we're not friends anymore!?" Fluttershy yelled
Rainbow dash gasped "How could you say that?!?! I needed your help! But fine! If you don't want to be friends anymore!? dos'nt matter to me! Your loss! Good luck! I hope you have fun replacing me!"
Rainbow dash stomped off.
"What have I done to my friend?" Fluttershy called out through tears after a long silence.
Rainbow dash made her way to the obstacle course in front of the school.
"I might as well practice until she gets here." she muttered as she made a sharp turn to the left.
"Hahahaaaa" Billy, Hoops and Dumbbell laughed. Rainbow Dash turned her head to look at them.
"Doesn't that griffin know she's supposed to fly at junior flight camp?" Hoops commented
Rainbow dash turned her head to see the new griffin student sitting at the entrance next to her luggage. She was nervously looking around looking lost.
Rainbow Dash smirked,
She zipped over flinging cloud all around Billy Hoops and Dumbbell.
"Maybe she just dos'nt want to make you look bad!" She said before zipping off, pushing the clouds out of existence.
"Hey their names Rainbow Dash! And you are?"
"Oh, um,um, G-G-Gilda?" she shuddered
"You sure about that."
"Um."
Rainbow smirked, "stick with me Gilda and those guys won't give you any guff."
Rainbow offered a hoof and pulled her new griffin friend into the sky. They began flying parallel matching each others pace at high speeds. Until Gilda pulled ahead and did spins in the air.
"Whoa your awesome!"
"You too Rainbow Dash."
"Alright Gilda, lets show these guys how it's done."
They turned and flew straight towards the three bullies knocking them over like bowling pins.
"Hahaha" Gilda and Rainbow Dash laughed as they flew through the obstacle course.
Time seemed to fly by because before they knew it 10 years had come and gone. Rainbow Dash was now a sleek healthy looking young mare. She now had a soft shiny even coat. She was no longer ever without food or resources. She had now truly blossomed. Gilda is now was a full grown griffin who's lost all of her down. Instead her feathers were now replaced with bran new adult feathers. Rainbow Dash was now 16 and in height ( high) school. She and Gilda always got into trouble. Weather it be fights, skipping class or disrespecting students and teachers. They skipped school most days in the week. As a result their grades were horrible but they were happy non the less. It didn't necessarily matter to Rainbow Dash what her grades were like because she was perfectly happy with the way things were. But then again she never cared about what would happen in the future as long as she wasn't with her parents. She had bits she used when she needed them. She kept them safe in her home. She didn't necessarily need them, so much as food was the top priority. However she used them sparingly none the less. She always saved them as much as possible in case of emergency.

Rainbow Dash's phone rang in the middle of class. Rainbow Dash picked it up only to be scolded by the teacher for doing so.
"Rainbow Dash!" Mrs.Dewdrops Rainbow's history teacher yelled.
"Hello?" Rainbow Dash said ignoring her teacher and answering the phone.
"Rainbow Dash! I'm going to count to three and I want that phone off or you have detention!"
"Sswainbow?" Comet slurred trying to get they word to form in his mouth but they were being stubborn!
"Comet streak?!?!" Rainbow said worry blocking out everything around her
"Your dad's gonna kill the baby!" He slurred
"What?!?!"
"Theirs a baby and they said he's gonna kill it and dump him some ware in a dumpster down town!"
"What baby Comet?! What happened?!? What are you talking about?!?"
"Your dad took me ands gonna kill the foal!" He slurred his voice sounding weaker with every word he spoke.
"Whoa, whoa, hold up! Calm down! What happened to you?! Ware are you?!? Rainbow Dash said now frantic. She was on the verge of a panic attack! She grabbed her saddle bags and zipped out the door as fast as she could! leavening nothing but a rainbow trail behind her! She didn't even noticing the cries her teacher and fellow students were shouting out to her.
"I think I'm at his house...." Comet said quietly, slowly loosing consciousness.
"Ok, hold on Comet ware ever you are hold on. Just stay really still and relax. I don't know what they did to you but your weak. I'm on my way I promise! Hold tight i'll get help! Rainbow Dash told her brother trying to stay calm and act as if he would be alright.
"O-Kay," he said trialling off as he passed out.
"Comet!"
"Comet?!?!" Rainbow Dash yelled,
"Come on stay with me! Comet!?!" Rainbow Dash yelled,
Knowing Comet Streak wouldn't respond Rainbow Dash hesitantly hung up and began dialing on her phone, desperate to get help.
