They Told Me to Run
They told me to run and never look back. I can't ever stop now; if I do... the Sun and Moon will end my life. The voices drive me, pushing me forward. My father was lost to this cause before; I shall not fail in his quest..
He awoke with the feeling of panic; this wasn't where he lived. The forest wind whispered through the trees, beckoning him into their sweet embrace. It all seemed familiar… the smell, the breeze, the sky… and then it all fell into place. The vivid dreams are real. The same melody of the birds above, the same smell of wet soil… everything. Even the cry of the dying prey in the distance as the predator comes in for the kill. Fear overcomes him as he recognizes the nature around him. and then the music starts.
From the back of his mind he hears a somber melody, the song of forgotten paradise. it sings the song of freedom, and calls to him and tells him to run as far away as he can… and to never look back.
