Rainbow Dash Smokes a Joint

Fluttershy sighed, sitting on a wooden chair in her front yard, with a cup of tea on a table and a salad in a bowl. The sky was clear -- though some clouds remained. The sun warmed up Fluttershy's body, and she was quite content with the way the day was currently going. She had no plans on going out into the public as well, which made it so much better for her.

She occasionally would open her eyes to eat some of her salad and to drink tea, but beyond that... she just relaxed, trapped in her own thoughts.

Fluttershy's mind drifted to thinking about her friends. It had been a while since she last talked to any of them. She gave a small frown, but remained where she was. Sometimes she wondered if her friends even liked her, but she was pretty sure they did. They acted like it, at least. She shook her head, and moved on to other, more happy thoughts...

Like Angel's birthday, which was coming up in about a week, "I still haven't gotten him a present..." Fluttershy 'hmm'ed. Maybe she'd get him a special salad... no, she did that last year. She didn't want to make Angel think she didn't care, but...

But her thoughts were quickly pushed aside when a loud groan caused her to jump up from her chair. She quickly turned to see who, or what, caused the noise, and saw Rainbow Dash hanging off of a cloud that had clearly drifted down to be close to the ground. Fluttershy stared at her, but the panic she had previously felt quickly vanished at the realization that it was just Rainbow Dash.

Fluttershy observed Rainbow Dash more closely, and saw that Rainbow looked very sleepy. Her eyes were red and bloodshot, and she had a bowl of chips next to her, with a couple of full, unopened bags of chips next to it.

"Oh no! Rainbow, you look so tired!" Fluttershy gasped, flying up to the cloud to talk to her friend. How could she not? Rainbow looked so tired, and Fluttershy had to make sure she was getting enough sleep each night.

"I know... but I feel so good... y'know? I've been thinkin'..." Rainbow mumbles out, turning onto her back and smiling up at the sky.

"...about what?" Fluttershy asks, landing on the cloud next to Rainbow Dash.

"Lots of stuff. Like... flying, our friends, the socioeconomic system... you," Rainbow responds, closing her eyes slowly.

"Oh, um... okay. Do you want to sleep?" Fluttershy asked, tilting her head as she creeps closer to Rainbow Dash's still form on the soft cloud.

"...I dunno. Just gotta relax... here, 'Shy... try some," Rainbow Dash slowly says, before showing Fluttershy a rolled up piece of paper that clearly has cannabis in it, and a lighter.

"I-is that a joint?" Fluttershy asked, looking closely at the object that Rainbow Dash was showing her.

"It can be whatever you want it to be..." Rainbow said, grabbing Fluttershy with one of her forelegs, and pulling her down into her grasp.

"W-well... I think I'd prefer not to..." Fluttershy replied, hoping not to offend Rainbow Dash.

"Eh... to each their own," Rainbow replied, placing the joint and lighter back down.

Rainbow turned Fluttershy around, so they were both facing up at the sky.

"U-uh... R-Rainbow, I'm a little uncomfortable..." Fluttershy said quietly, while blushing as she was embarrassed by the situation.

"One of these days... we're gonna be flyin' high and just..." Rainbow Dash mumbled out.

"Rainbow, you didn't... you weren't smoking that weed, were you?"

"Why's it matter?"

"Um... you're just acting strange, a-and the physical features are..." Fluttershy placed her ear to Rainbow Dash's chest. Her heart was beating very fast. Once Fluttershy laid her head back onto the cloud, she finished: "You have the physical features of somepony who would be high, but um... I don't know, I- I shouldn't be assuming anything... sorry..." Fluttershy easily confirmed that she did smoke, and it was stupid of her to assume she didn't. Fluttershy had no personal problem with it, though. Weed was even legal in Equestria, so it's not like she expected any trouble from the state.

"It's pretty obvious that I took a puff, 'Shy... don't even worry about it though. Shouldn't be worried about anything anymore... y'know?" Rainbow replied, while rubbing Fluttershy's mane, causing it to become a little messy, "Your mane is soft," Rainbow Dash randomly said, before turning her head to nuzzle Fluttershy's silky pink mane. Rainbow Dash then sniffed, inhaling Fluttershy's scent deeply, "It smells really good, too..."

"O-oh... th-thank you?" Fluttershy mumbled out shyly, looking off to the side. Fluttershy regretted not complimenting Rainbow Dash back, but didn't think it mattered. Rainbow Dash liked compliments, but... Fluttershy was just pretty sure it didn't matter at the moment.

"It's no big deal... it's just a fact. I'm hungry..." Rainbow Dash leisurely reached for her big bowl of potato chips with her wing, and once she found it, she used the same wing to pick up some chips to put in her hungry mouth.

"Want me to make you a nice dinner?" Fluttershy meekly asked, hoping to be able to have a nice meal with Rainbow Dash, just to catch up with her. The two haven't talked in a while, so the idea seemed like a really good one to Fluttershy.

"...nah, I like chips..." Rainbow says, before yawning and wrapping a foreleg around Fluttershy's warm body to pull her even closer to her own.

"...Oh... okay," Fluttershy replied, while being a little disappointed, "I um... I should go home now."

"Aw... please stay?..." Rainbow Dash pleaded, giving Fluttershy a neutral yet upset facial expression.

"...I'm sorry, I can't... b-but you could come inside with me, a-and we could... maybe watch a movie, together?" Fluttershy suggested instead.

Rainbow's face slowly formed a smile, and she said, "Yeah... I'd like that," while hugging Fluttershy gently.

Rainbow Dash let go of Fluttershy, and then started to stand up. She had a bit of trouble getting steady, but soon adjusted. Fluttershy followed, and picked up the bags of chips and then placed them in the bowl with the other chips, to make carrying it all easier for her.

Fluttershy turned to see Rainbow trying to fly, but her wings flapped weakly and at random. "Here, I'll help you down. I-if you need it, at least," Fluttershy says, getting under Rainbow Dash. Rainbow then set herself on top, but continued to flap her wings to help Fluttershy compensate for the extra weight.

After a moment, Fluttershy was able to lift up off the cloud. She groaned as she floated up slightly, and then glided down to the ground as fast as she could, worried that she would stop being able to lift up Rainbow Dash, and the chips.

"Thanks," Rainbow Dash said, sliding off of Fluttershy's back, which quaked slightly. After Rainbow was off, Fluttershy stopped shaking and then she opened the door to her cottage, and stood back as she let Rainbow walk in ahead of her. Afterwards, Fluttershy trotted in to catch up to her friend.

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash laid together on Fluttershy's green couch inside of her cottage. Fluttershy had also put a a cheesy romance movie on for them to watch together. Surprisingly, Rainbow had no objections to the film, or the genre. Fluttershy had recognized that it was because of Rainbow's current state with the drugs. Fluttershy didn't say anything about it, though.

"Your couch is soft... I mean, not as soft as you, but..." Rainbow said, trying to spark conversation.

"T-thanks," Fluttershy mumbled out as her cheeks became light shades of red.  Rainbow chuckled slightly as she looked over her timid friend, seeming to get lost in the curves of her body.

"You know, I always liked those butterflies you have, they just fit you so well you know?"   She thought out loud with a goofy grin on her face, staring at those three captivating butterflies.

Fluttershy only squeaked and nodded in agreement before moving her long flowing tail around to block Dash's view of her cutie-marks.

"What are you doing there by yourself?  You look so cold and alone!" The character in the movie said.  Rainbow's clouded mind seemed to agree as she extended her wing and slowly put it across her shy friend.

Fluttershy's body tensed for a second as she looked over at her stoned friend.  Rainbow just continued to smile that silly grin which seemed to comfort the yellow mare.  She slowly scouted closer to the brash druggie.

"You're so calm and relaxed, I don't think I've ever seen you this mellow in my entire life," Fluttershy commented as Rainbow caressed her with her large blue wing.

"Want to try some now?" Rainbow asked, pointing to the unused joint next to the bowl of chips they still had.

"Oh, I don't know," The pink maned Pegasus replied as she averted her eyes.

"Come on, it's how I got so chill, don't you want to feel like this too?" The speedster encouraged as she moved her wing to the side of Fluttershy's face to return her gaze back to her.  "Please, would you do it for me?"

"...well... okay, I guess," Fluttershy said, picking up the rolled up paper. She was a little anxious, but didn't want to delay in fear of disappointing Rainbow.

Rainbow pulled out her lighter, and held the flame up to one end of the joint. Once it was lit, Fluttershy stared at the joint, not sure how to smoke it.

"Inhale some air 'n then take a hit. Then, inhale a small amount of air... hold it in for like, four seconds 'n then exhale. It's so nice, 'Shy..."

Fluttershy went ahead and followed the directions cautiously, and once she did so, she sighed and leaned back into the couch while giggling slightly.

"Here, lemme see it..." Rainbow grabbed the joint from Fluttershy's hooves, and then took a hit herself, "ah..."

The two went back to watching their movie together, as they both ate some chips.

"We should do this more often..." Rainbow Dash said, staring intently at the colourful details in the movie. The two weren't paying attention to the movie, or its plot, or anything... its colours were just entrancing to the two, especially so while the two were high.

"...this is our first time doing it together though, but... we should do it again some time, I agree... it's... it's nice..." Fluttershy mumbled out, looking at the floor to avoid Rainbow's gaze.

"Oh, please hold me close! I'm scared, dear!" the movie wasn't very loud, so Fluttershy had grabbed the remote to turn the audio down. She didn't really care about the movie, it was just something to make the conversation less awkward.

"Yeah... you know what I meant," Rainbow Dash replied, looking at Fluttershy with a slight smile. She then moved a hoof to clear Fluttershy's mane out of her face.

"You've got really pretty eyes, you know..." Rainbow said, causing Fluttershy's face to burn bright-red.

"You look lonely, hun... how about we go to our room?"

After a few moments of silence, Fluttershy slid herself directly next to Rainbow Dash. She then placed her head on Rainbow's shoulder and sighed to calm herself down. The two remained like that for the rest of the movie, and once the movie was done, the two stayed together with Fluttershy embracing Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash looked down at Fluttershy, who rested herself in Rainbow Dash's embrace. Fluttershy rubbed the side of her head against Rainbow's chest, and yawned squeakily. Rainbow adjusted her position, and then gave a soft kiss to Fluttershy's forehead.

"Goodnight, 'Shy... I love you," Rainbow Dash said, leaning her head back into a fluffy pillow, and closing her eyes.

"I love you too..." Fluttershy responded, calmly moving herself up, placing her lips onto Rainbow Dash's.

Rainbow froze like a deer in head-lights, but then reached a foreleg around Fluttershy's head. Rainbow then forcefully returned the kiss, before pulling back out of it. Fluttershy blushed heavily, but Rainbow paid it no attention and kissed at Fluttershy's neck, and moved her hooves up and down Fluttershy's back, and moving them constantly to feel her body, until she found herself on top of Fluttershy.

Rainbow then kissed Fluttershy on the nose, and then she ended up pinning Fluttershy down beneath her. Rainbow Dash wrapped a hoof around Fluttershy's calm body, holding her in a comfortable embrace, until the two fell asleep.

Fluttershy woke up, feeling a hoof petting her mane, while the other just latched onto her. Fluttershy could vaguely remember what happened the night before, but she did remember what happened with Rainbow Dash.

"U-um..." Fluttershy didn't know what to say. She went quiet, and listened intently for anything Rainbow Dash might say. Hopefully, she wasn't mad...

'She wouldn't be mad, would she?' Fluttershy thought, causing her hearts pace to quicken out of anxiety.

"Hey, 'Shy. Mind if I... I dunno... stay over, today? I'm just feeling really tired, and out of it. Plus, I'd like to spend time with you. It's... been a while," Rainbow said, and then stopped petting Fluttershy's mane to rub the back of her neck.

"Oh, of course! I'd love for you to stay over. I've just got some chores to do first, a-and then we can hang out together for the rest of the day," Fluttershy replied, with all of her anxiety slowly draining away.

"Awesome..." Rainbow said, relaxing back into the plush couch once more.

"I think this is going to be the start of something great..." Rainbow mumbled out, with a small smile, "I just hope I get over this 'hangover' so we can do more stuff together..."

"I'm perfectly fine with anything you want to do, Rainbow..." Fluttershy nuzzled Rainbow Dash, and then exhaled breathe caught in her lungs slowly.

"I love you, Fluttershy," Rainbow Dash said, scratching a hoof behind Fluttershy's ear, causing it to twitch from the sensation.

"I... I love you too, Rainbow."

Fluttershy didn't even question the fact that they ended up in a relationship together, all because of weed. In fact, she was perfectly content with that... she usually was content with life, but... it felt different this time to her. Different in a better way, too...

She stopped trying to fully understand it. It was good enough for her, and maybe she'd understand it one day... but for now, she just thought towards the bright, weed-filled future instead.
