After the changeling attack, Twilight Sparkle explains to the rosy guard unicorn and the other unicorn guards a spell that forced the changeling have the true colors be show. The unicorn was told to do the spell if anyone acted "unusual" and to do the necessary tasks to remove the "problem". This was a lot for the rose colored unicorn since it was the first few weeks when the unicorn started as a guard as the only mare guard, the only mare guard that the castle ever had, EVER!!! Crystal Stars was quite honored with such a title and she did brag about it for a while to family and friend before she left her hometown in Ponyville for proper training. The knowledge went through Equestria like wildfire. Everyone talking it and adding rumors to the tale. Crystal couldn’t step out of her home without being tormented with stupid questions. Such as "will you kill anyone?" or "will you teach me to kill to anyone? From young colts and fillies. Crystal was getting tired from all the outrageous questions but still answered and repeated all of them with a fake smile. Though she secretly wanted to strangle them all, when Crystal finished “interview” from the foals she walked to the nearby bakery, Sugarcube Corner to meet a friend. As she walked, she flashed back to why she wanted to be a royal guard. 12 Years Earlier The pink unicorn wasn’t like the other fillies when growing up. Crystal wanted toy trucks and GI Pony dolls when most girls her age wanted the latest Toni Pony Dolls. It was probably due to her being the only and youngest sister from having 3 older brothers and on top of having her mother died when she was 7. She wasn’t very sure how to act girly. Her dad didn’t treat her any more different from her brothers. He didn’t understand anything that wasn’t “manly”, so instead made Crystal another son. At the Summer Sun Celebration in Canter lot about couple months after the loss of their mother, Crystal and her brothers with their father. Were in the crowd waiting for the show to start. After a huge adjustment with no mother, and a new smaller house where all siblings (including Crystal) had to share a tiny bedroom that was really meant maybe one or two foals if that, their father decided have a last minute weekend trip to Canterlot to see the celebration like they all before they had the death in the family. Princess Cesitia began show by saying some things that most foals didn’t pay attention at that age. All of a sudden a yellow earth pony jumped on the stage. Crystal couldn't really see him because she was right the back. He had a knife in his, charged up to the princess with the knife pointing towards Cesitia. Suddenly a single white unicorn guard get in his way and bucked in the head, knocking him out. There was a long silence in the crowd as everyone tried needed time to let the shock to wear off. Crystal knew right after that very moment she wanted to protect other ponies How fearless they were and they put themselves in danger without any second thought, she wanted that thrill, excitement, threat of the unknown. Her father, Sun Blitz felt was unsafe for his children continue at the celebration and left to head back to the hotel. He picked up Crystal with magic and put her on his back. Crystal looked back at the yellow pony being shoved by 2 other guards to get him in police carriage. The following school day Crystal was out at the playground for recess. She sat at a lunch table by herself eating a daisy sandwich, minding her own business as other foals played and laughed, not really caring. She didn’t really have that many friends and she isn’t very bothered by it “Hey Crash” a colt’s voice yelled behind her. Crystal immediately knew who that voice belonged to and it looks like he found a new victim. Crystal did suffer from Topps the school bully at one point but after painful kick in the face from her hind legs leaving a black eye, Topps left her alone. She got a month detention for it however it was worth it, “Hey Crash I’m talking to you” The light brown colt with a lime green mane yelled again with no reply from the smaller cyan filly. Topps then kept getting no respond and irritated shoved the filly to the ground. The pegasus filly looked like she was on the verge of tears, that’s when Crystal couldn’t watch anymore. She dropped her sandwich and rushed over to help. “Aw, is Crash going to cr---” “HEY TOPPS LEAVE HER ALONE,” Crystal shouted at the bigger colt, rage taking over tiny unicorn, she couldn’t stand his guts. “Or what, Prissy Star” he pushed the cyan pony’s face in the mud and the filly begun crying. Crystal’s anger was starting boil over. The blue pony was new to the school and didn’t know anyone and this time Topps went too far. She charges as fast as she could to buck him in the chin. “I said alone her, NOW” he fell in the mud just inches away from the filly. “Y-you’re c-crazy” Topps said while getting up and running off. Crystal just laughed at him tripping over a tree root, turning back her attention to the filly still crying. “You are okay?” said the magenta unicorn in a sort tone. She put out her hoof to assist the pegasus “what’s your name?” “R-rainbow D-dash” the rainbow mane pony said still upset and weeping. “I’m Crystal Stars and I think Topps is going to away from you now on if not I’ll give him another lessen ” she said with a cheesy smile “your mane is cool by the way, I’m so jealous” Rainbow giggled at her comment wiping mud off herself “Thanks my mom dyes it for me, she’s a hairdresser, and my natural color is a boring blonde” “Sweet anyway let’s get you cleaned up before class starts”. Crystal walked Rainbow to the washroom to freshen up In the washroom Crystal was helping Rainbow getting cleaned by using her magic to carry paper towels wash off the mud. "What’s that" Dash said pointing to her hind leg. "My flank" Crystal answer sarcastically. "No, there’s something on it" Crystal turned to see a golden shield with a scarlet heart on her hip. "My cutie mark, I got my cutie mark" the pink unicorn beamed with over happiness "best day ever" Her and Rainbow exchanged a quick hoof-five. Since that day Rainbow and she become speedy best friends after knowing each for a week. Present Day Crystal trotted in the bakery looking for her pegasus buddy. “Starry, over here” Dash called using her pet name. Crystal made a beeline for her friend. “Hi Dashy” as sat the table. “How’s the royal guard, I still can’t over how awesome this is. Dash said while doing her “awesome face”. My friend going to be first mare guard at castle, when are you leaving anyway?” “In 3 days. I have to leave and to get traini....” “WHAT, you didn’t tell me that”. Dashy giving her friend a death stare. "I-I f-for-get to tell you, sorry Dashy” Crystal looked at the floor awkwardly as a few ponies looked their way. With Crystal being so busy with preparing leave for Canterlot in few days, she innocently forget to mention to Rainbow that she departure to the palace, whoops. "Crystal I`m a bit annoyed at you but I don’t want spend my time being angry at you." Dash said starting to calm down."Although I kind of want to strangle you, I want you have fun with you" "Good Dashy, do we want to do?" "I can think of a few things" Dash got up from her seat and begun walking to the door. Crystal got up and followed her friend. She had no idea what the pegasus was up to. End of chapter 1

Crystal asked her friend a couple of times where they were heading with the same remark “it’s a surprise; you’ll see when we get there”. Knowing this is just Dash being typical Dash the unicorn decided to wait and see where her friend was taking her thought she was still curious. Later “We’re here” Rainbow said pointing a small bar just that is 45 minutes outside of Ponyville. Crystal was exhausted from that insanely long stroll, it felt endless, and she needed a drink, NOW. However it was 4:00 in afternoon but either of them concern by it. Both entered the bar, looking around the pub seeing tough looking stallions in black leather jacket and blue jeans. Crystal swallowed hard feeling nervous, she stayed close to Rainbow who looked the opposite like she been here before. They sat at bar table far in the back away from “criminals”. Crystal knew was being paranoid but had a bad feeling that just wouldn’t quit. “Hi Rainbow” said a white earth bond stallion with cyan mane, wearing a black leather jacket. Crystal’s uneasy feeling made another come back. “Hey Icy, haven’t see you here since that bar fight” Dash reply “Oh that other guy started it, it was self-defend” Icy said now being aware of the pink unicorn “hey Dash who’s your cute friend”. Crystal blushed furiously, “he just called me cute, no, it can’t be, he’s just trying be nice, yeah that’s it” she thought. “This is Crystal; she’s going to be the first female guard that Canterlot ever had” Dash spoke with bragging tone. “She’s leaving in 3 days” “Oh, that’s really pretty cool; I have to go and actually to talk my friends. But Crystal I’ll see around, cutie”. And with that he walked off, Crystal couldn’t any more redder but then the pegasus open her mouth. “Star, he was totally flirting with you” Dash burst out in laugher. “You should and talk to-” “Dash, stop” hissed a very aggravated unicorn. “Ok, fine, want any shots” 2 hours later Dash ordered countless tequila shots that she and Crystal were chugging them down like no tomorrow. The alcohol seemed be taking its toll, when Crystal felt the room spinning and kept noticing that Icy staring back at her from across the bar. Suddenly a bit more confident in all probability due to insane amounts of the alcohol she had drank in the company of Rainbow. Icy was to seem to be pretty good looking from a distance among with Rainbow gone to the washroom...10 ago minutes perhaps so vomiting up a storm or passed out in there thought those are just presumptions.”Maybe I should check on her I mean she has in there for a long time”. She casually moved from seat being careful not trip or slip. Realizing she is much tipsier then she originally estimated as she landed on hooves. Trying making her way to the little filly’s room but with Crystal being so wasted she found it difficult make perfectly straight line, she was nearly stumbling to get to that damn washroom that was 40 steps away. “Hey Crystal, are you alright?” said a stallion’s voice. “N-o, nnnooo, I-icy-y, I’m f-iiinnee” the trashed unicorn slurring her words. “I-I’m-m j-just c-checking on R-r-rain-bow”, even with her greatest effort not to she still manage to slurred almost every word she spoke, “S-sshheee been-n in the-re for a-awhile”. “Ok, just looks like your gonna fell on your face at moment” replied Icy in somewhat a concerned manner. “D-don’t b-b-be-e ridiculous, I feel-l f-fine, the pink mare said smiling to stallion. She then continued on in her stumbling state. She then tripped out a bar stool, not once but two times in the 30 seconds she was finish talking with Icy, each time she quickly got up and acting like nothing had happen. “Crystal, your too drunk to carry on”, a alarmed Icy said “I’ll get a waitress to see if Rainbow already, just take a sat with my brother, Ashy and my friend, Sliver”, Icy pulled out a chair for her and had his brother and friend watch to the wasted mare as he a waitress get to Rainbow Dash. 5 minutes later “Good news, your friend is okay” said Carrot Top the mare waitress “she was just throwing up, she said she’ll out be any minute” “Thank goodness RD is ok” Crystal let out a sigh of relief A pale looking Dash joined her friend at the table with the others. She barely it made in her stool; she managed to figure it by herself thought it was a very entertaining perform to watch. “Maybe this is a hint to go home”. \“Hey Dashy wanna to get outta here?” Crystal casually said and no slurring this as she got better at controlling it. “Yes” Rainbow without giving it another thought “let’s go now” The two mares left the table, stagger out the bar before the stallions had a chance to protest against the matter. Once they were once a realization smacked the unicorn. “Dashy, you can’t fly home because of that new law”. A new law in Equestria begun to be enforced after all not too recent deaths from intoxicated pegasus’s having accidents and killing themselves. It is being severely put into effect; a pegasus could face up to 20 years in prison or life if caught. “Damn law, how am I supposed to get home now,”Rainbow replied annoyed. “You spend the night at my house” Crystal offered “we a spare room you could sleep in” End of chapter 2
Morning Regrets View OnlineStar The Royal Guard Morning Regrets Morning Regrets Chapter 3 ‘Ow, my head, how did I get home with Dash?” Crystal woke up in her own bedroom with throbbing headache and little to no memory on how she got home. After her dad married her wealthy stepmom, Sweet Heart, he moved Crystal and her brothers to her big almost mansion house with her two bratty stepsisters Fizzy and Buttons. It has 12 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. No longer would she to a share a tiny room with her brothers though she missed all the good time she shared with them. She remembered how had the pillow frights or argued about who gets top bunk. She usually is more wary when it came to going out with friends but something came over herself with Dash and couldn’t control herself furthermore she’s paying the price. Maybe it somewhat to do with leaving home and everyone she knows in few days but she didn’t quite know for sure. Crystal walked out her room making her the kitchen. She made her usual breakfast of eggs and toast. “Morning royal guard” said Harper, one of her brothers (the second youngest) sitting at the kitchen table reading the Foal Free Press, that Fizzy brought home one day after school “How’s the hangover” “Good morning Harper” Crystal said in the most annoyed tone ever, ignoring his final remark. In silence she went toaster and bread in it as she readied the eggs. As she making her and Dash’s breakfast that same question popped in her head. . “Hey Harper, can I ask you something?” said the pink unicorn. “Yeah, what is it?” “How did I get home with Dash from the bar?’ "You don’t remember anything at all?” “Nope”: ”Applejack and her brother Big Mac found you and Dash both wasted. They were returning from delivering apples. So put you guys to the empty wagon and took you both home. They said you were good until you threw up on the wagon halfway home” said Harper”. Crystal looked down the floor feeling ashamed, how she could be so careless and irresponsible was beyond her. Furthermore this cannot be acceptable royal guard behavior. “I can’t believe what I did that. I won’t be surprise if Applejack and her brother don’t ever talk to me again” she thought. “Morning” said a still pale looking Dash entered the room and sat the table beside Harper. “Morning” Said Harper and Crystal in unison. “You slept well, Dashy? I even gave you the guest room with good bed” asked Crystal “It was nice” groaned Rainbow “Thanks so much” faking cheerful smile. :”I heard you throwing up in the guest bathroom all night” Harper blurted out carelessly. Dash using her trademark death stares to the yellow unicorn stallion with no responds. Nevertheless she didn’t need to say anything; her look of hatred said it all. “HARPER” Crystal scolded her sibling giving the same angry gaze she learned from Dash “That’s very rude”. “Yeah, no need to be a je-” Rainbow said then suddenly the cyan mare turned from her usual blue from kiwi green. “Be right back” Rainbow dashed as fast as she could from her chair heading to the toilet for “one on one time”. Harper cruelly chuckle Dashes misery, Crystal could have just him bucked him right and then. “My brother is a douche bag. Well better go see if Dash’s alright”. “You know I wouldn’t have stopped you if you smacked my brother upside the head.” Crystal breaking the silence as she walked the brightly colored mare, home. After Rainbow’s bathroom session a less green Dash wanted to go back to her cloud home at the edge of Ponyville. Crystal couldn't blame her; she would probably do the same but with the concession that she would her sick friend walk home, just in case. “You tell that me now.
