For Those Days Forgotten

"You don't remember anything," A voice asked

"I don't remember anything, and why can't I see?"

"You probably will have a lot of questions and be aware that they will be answered in time but we need answers from you."

"Ok I'm listening, luna right." A chuckle was heard in response.

"At least your ears are working, Anyway here is the question." "What was the cause of the fire?"

"What fire are you talking about, there are a lot of fires aren't there?" Cadence heard a sigh to the left of her and from in front, "How many Ponies are in here?"

"There are quite a few, we have Twilight and her friends, Me and Celestia, then there is your husband next to you."

"Shining is here is he alright?" A few ununderstandable whispers were heard in front of her that were followed by and "Ok".

"It appears that you are regaining some of your memory considering you know that he was hurt."

Cadence just sat in silence as she took in those words, "What happened to him?" An "Ok" was heard followed by the sounds of wheels moving. A hoof touched hers, in response, her hoof moved away but was soon grabbed again. "Who is this."

"It's Shining Armor."

"'Why isn't he saying anything?"

"The front of his body was burned in the fire and his vocal cords had to be removed while in surgery."

Cadence looked to her left as tears came to her eyes, "Shining?" She placed her left hoof over her body where it was gingerly grabbed and placed on Shining's face. They placed their snouts together as they both cried.

"Get me to up there and meet me at the train, we can't lose two alicorns if you don't make it."

"You expect me to leave my child behind and go!"

"Like I said you wouldn't like the answer, please trust me and go." Cadence already had tears in her eyes as she hugged Sunburst and threw him up into the window. Cadence ran underneath the castle and past the crystal heart.

Cadence finally made it to the train and turned around, "Don't leave yet there is still two more coming!" Cadence smiled brightly when she saw Sunburst running with Flurry in his magic

The happiness was snatched away and replaced with dread in the second that she saw the castle start falling behind them. Cadence took a step forward as she let out a blood-curdling scream, "Run faster!"

Sunburst looked behind as he ran and picked up his pace when he saw the tower falling. Sunburst made a face at Cadence that told her that he was sorry as the tower finally hit the ground. A flash of magic was made around Flurry Heart as Sunburst stopped and yelled at Cadence, "Turn away now!"

Cadence stared in horror as thousands of shards of the castle came flying in every direction. Sunbursts eyes went blank as hundreds of shards entered his body.

Cadence started tearing up as she woke up, "Help me," she shouted. She didn't know it but the chairs in the room were full of now awake, previously sleeping ponies.

A calming voice spoke up saying, "Its alright your in the hospital, you're fine."

"It's not me it Flurry, she is still alive." "I remember everything."

"We are rushing the girls over to the empire with Shining right now." "I need you to tell me what happened, what started the fire."

"It was Sombra, He is back."
