Ponyville was its normal, cheerful atmosphere again. Ponies singing at random times, the mane six fighting bug bears, Pinkie throwing Welcome to Ponyville parties, yep. Pretty much usual. A wagon entered with a black earth pony pulling it. He had baby blue eyes with a red book as a cutiemark. He walked to the Town Center and saw Mayor Mare outside, obviously trying to catch a break from everything. He unhitched from the wagon, making sure it was in place.

He said,
"Dark Mage, make sure everypony stays inside. I'm going to ask where our house is." A younger mare poked her head out. She was also a black earth pony, with red highlights, light green eyes, and a cutiemark of red crystals clumped together.

She said,
"Alright father but hurry!!! Scribble is getting to be annoying!" The stallion chuckled and walked towards Mayor Mare. Mare didn't see him until his shadow loomed across her face.

She said in a frantic voice,
"I'm sorry sir? Didn't see you? How may I help you?"

The stallion responded with,
"Well Miss, I bought a house here under the name of Blood Relic."

Mare pursed her lips at the name and stammered,
"O-of course Mr Relic, it is by the edge of the Everfree Forest. The keys will be under a rock by the door. Welcome to Ponyville, but I must go back inside." She hurried back and Relic inwardly chuckled. Ponies always got like that the minute they heard his name. He attached himself to the wagon once again and walked down to where Mayor Mare had directed him. He and the wagon arrived in front of a big stone house with lion designs, moon inscriptions, and a beautiful garden just waiting to start growing again, along with a fountain with the statue of Luna.

As soon as he said,
"We're here everypony." Six ponies jumped out. They were older than foals but a little bit younger than grown-ups.

Dark Mage, with a toss of her well kept mane, said,
"It's alright. Nothing like the old mansion we stayed at in Maris." A light pink unicorn with a rich blue mane and tail with lavender highlights and lavender eyes walked up. She had purple glasses, a clip that held her messy yet at the same time orderly mane and she had a cutiemark of a pen scribbling.

She said,
"Lighten up and be grateful we have a home at all!" A white earth pony with a wavy two tone green mane and tail came up. He had a cutiemark of a golden, fancy key with an emerald.

His nervous green eyes darted around as he said,
"Yes well Scribble Pen, your last stunt made us move."

Scribble defended herself by saying,
"Well, I don't like the Prench! To much cheese." A green unicorn with a chocolate brown mane, tail, and eyes walked up. He had black glasses and a cutiemark of a brown book with a quill.

He said,
"I'm going to have to agree with Dignity, Scribble. You're the one the blame for that."

She scowled at shot back,
"So what Spell Writer. Just because I'm the younger sister I get blamed?" A white pegasus with a curly blond mane and tail flew over their heads, landing in front of them. Her cutiemark was a sun behind blue clouds.

Her lavender eyes sparkled as she said,
"Enough arguing, more exploring! Let's go!" A blue pegasus with a platinum wavy mane and tail came from behind her. His cutiemark was an icy cloud and thunderbolt.

His purple eyes, which always had the look of anger in them, said,
"Whatever Sunshine Cloud, I say a home is a home, good enough."

Sunshine giggled as she said,
"You got to smile more, little brother! Or do you want to be like Writer over there?"

Writer yelled,
"Hey! Nothing's wrong with me! Storm Cloud is the one who is grumpy."

Scribble rolled her eyes as she looked at her squabbling 'siblings'. Besides Spell Writer, the rest were adopted, like her. Well, except for Dark Mage. She was Blood Relic's biological daughter, and she thought this immediately made her 'more special than thee'. Scribble was more happy about the abundance of animals, just waiting to be eaten. After all, vamponies gotta eat as well.

She walked inside and gasped. It was so awesome! High arcs for a ceiling, big windows with luxurious drapes, a HUGE dinning room for dinner after they had drunk their fill of blood. She looked in one room and squealed. It was the biggest library she had ever seen, complete with desks, chairs, a comfy couch, and lamps.

Meanwhile, the rest of the siblings were already upstairs, checking out the rooms. Dark Mage saw an elegant room with a Prench theme to it that she liked. Writer saw a room with an observatory that practically declared it was for him. The twins, Stormy and Sunshine, chose two rooms side by side. The twins were practically inseparable and while Stormy chose the one with a window in order to get outside more easily to fly, Sunshine chose one with a rose terrace in order to do some gardening better. Dignity grinned when he saw a room with all sorts of scraps, for his special talent was tinkering with scraps to turn them into elegant and beautiful works of art. Scribble discovered that behind one of the bookshelves was a secret room with quills, paper, more books, and paints, for her special talent was writing and painting.

Blood Relic sighed. It looked like his children were happy with the house. Hopefully Scribble wouldn't give them away again. He smiled in satisfaction at the house. He had been taking care of his children for over 400 years. As soon as they were 800, they would move out. He was just about to start inspecting the place when the doorbell rang. He opened it and was greeted with a pink earth pony with a deep pink curly mane and tail. She had the widest smile he had ever seen.

Her blue eyes sparkled as she said,
"HI! My name is Pinkie Pie and I want to throw a Welcome to Ponyville party for you because I do that for all new ponies! What time of you want to come? How about seven o'clock? Great! See you there!" Without waiting for a response she bounced away, leaving behind a flabbergasted Blood Relic. They couldn't do seven. That was when they ate!

'Oh dear,' he thought.
