The Knock on the DoorView OnlineFluttercord AdventureThe Knock on the DoorThe next day, Fluttershy awoke to the noise of a knock on the door. Her eyes snapped open, and she frantically smoothed down her messy mane, while flying to the door. She opened it, and appeared Discord. Fluttershy frowned. "Discord?" said Fluttershy quietly, unable to act. "Fluttershy," replied Discord. "Though I did leave you the flowers and note, I have to apologize for my actions." Fluttershy hid behind her mane. She saw Discord's eyes flash in sadness. "I'm sorry for my betrayal. He... Tirek... Tricked me into it. But, it isn't his fault. I had one job, to capture him. I neglected it, for an option for power. My old self was still in me then, but now, the idea of taking over the world, sounds terrible." Fluttershy opened her mouth, but Discord raised a paw. "Let me finish," said Discord. "I know you probably never want anything to do with me again, but, I'm going to try to be your friend again. I will make it up to you, until the day my magic is lost permanently. Your friendship means a lot more to me than I realized before. Please, will you find it in your heart to give me a second, no, third chance?" Fluttershy stayed silent, and Discord took this as a 'no'. "I understand." He turned to leave, but Fluttershy surprised herself when she put a hoof on his shoulder. "No, Discord, wait," said Fluttershy. "I will forgive you, with time. But, I will let you have a chance. How about you come in for some tea?" Discord's face lit up a bit, but he remained solemn. "Might as well," said Discord. "My only plan was to feel guilty while I lock myself in my pocket dimension." Fluttershy looked sadly to him. "Sugar in your tea?" asked Fluttershy. "Here, I'll make tea today," said Discord, snapping his talons, a full set with a kettle and cups, appeared. "It can be a small start." Fluttershy gave him a small smile. "Thank you," said Fluttershy. "Are you doing alright?" asked Discord, as he poured the two of them tea. Fluttershy looked away. "I'm doing... fine," said Fluttershy, and Discord looked down. "I know, I'm making you feel worse by being here," said Discord. "I'll leave shortly. I just wanted to talk." "About what?" asked Fluttershy. Her eyes wandered to his arms. Gashes lined up on his lion arm. Her eyes widened in realization. "Disc-" "Do you think I'm a monster?" asked Discord. Fluttershy was silent. Discord's gaze wavered, and a tear ran down his face. "It's alright. I kind of knew." "No, I don't think you're a monster, but, what have you done to yourself?" asked Fluttershy, pointing her hoof at his lion paw. Discord's eyes followed her hoof, and he gasped when he saw what she was pointing at. He covered his paw quickly. "It's nothing, really," said Discord. Fluttershy crossed her hooves. "Hurting yourself is nothing?!" exclaimed Fluttershy. "I know you feel bad, but this bad? At least make yourself heal!" Discord stood up. "This has been nice, but I really have to go now," before Fluttershy could do anything, he was gone.
HelpView OnlineFluttercord AdventureHelpFluttershy stared after Discord, hoof reaching out. Discord didn't need to hurt himself because he betrayed them! His pain was double Fluttershy's. The latter was upset about how she thought about herself, and didn't think for a moment how bad Discord felt about his betrayal. She felt absolutely terrible. Wiping a tear away, she ran outside, to the Everfree Forest, where the portal to Discord's dimension lay. She didn't care about the darkness surrounding her, because her fears couldn't stop her from helping her friend. When she finally reached the portal, she leaped through it and started to fly, knowing there was no ground where the portal opened in Discord's dimension from experience where she fell, and Discord had to catch her, months ago before the betrayal. Ahead, she saw his house, and Fluttershy flapped her wings harder than she ever had before. She burst into the house, and saw Discord, who gaped at her. "F-F-Fluttershy?!" exclaimed Discord. "Can you please go?" He landed on all fours, and started to flee. "Come back here!" yelled Fluttershy angrily. She didn't know why she was acting like this, but Discord was a wounded animal, and she had to help him before he got more hurt. She tackled him to the ground, and the wind was knocked out of them on impact. Discord instantly got to his feet, but Fluttershy clung onto him, tears flowing down her cheeks. "Let go!" growled Discord. "I can handle myself." "No!" protested Fluttershy. "You don't need to hurt yourself. Please, please stop!" She looked up at him with pleading eyes. Discord flinched, closing his eyes tightly. "Please, leave me be," said Discord softly. "I deserved it, after what I did to Equestria." "You don't deserve that pain!" sobbed Fluttershy. "It didn't hurt when the magic was drained from us, it just made us tired." "I know, I know!" replied Discord. "Just let me go. I will send you home." Fluttershy didn't budge. "Why do I not deserve it?'' "You are an amazing friend, if you are nice," reasoned Fluttershy. "You made one major mistake, but it's all in the past. Please, just forgive yourself." Discord sighed in defeat. "Fine," said Discord. "I won't do anything bad like that anymore." "Until I see you keep to that, you are staying in my cottage," said Fluttershy. Discord rolled his eyes.
ApologiesView OnlineFluttercord AdventureApologiesFluttershy was in pain. Not physically, but in a way much more painful. Her heart broke in half when Discord betrayed her to Tirek. Her friendship hadn't been enough for him. Now, she was mentally destroying herself in doubt. Fluttershy wasn't a good friend. She never was. All she is a meek, naive pegasus that couldn't see the truth, even if it walked up to her and slapped her. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she sat in the living room. Everywhere she was, she felt Discord's red eyes watching her. She could barely take it. Fluttershy had told Discord she had forgiven him, but she truly hadn't. Angel hopped up to her. "You want some carrots?" asked Fluttershy. Angel nodded. Fluttershy sniffed and wiped her eyes. "Alright, I'll be back in a moment." She walked to the kitchen, and opened the fridge, taking out the carrots. She pulled two out, and then a familiar flash of light came from outside of the kitchen. Discord. Fluttershy cringed, and Angel rushed in. He chattered wildly, and Fluttershy couldn't understand him. "I will go out there and see what's going on," assured Fluttershy, as she petted him to calm him down. "Here are your carrots." Handing him the carrots, Fluttershy warily looked to the door. Heading to the living room, Fluttershy said,"Discord, I don't think-" She gasped as she saw the sight around her. Roses filled the room, of every shape, size, and color. Their scent filled the air, the best scent Fluttershy has every scented. She sighed blissfully, and looked around in confusion. She found a neatly folded letter on her couch. Fluttershy opened it. Dearest Fluttershy, I'm so sorry about my betrayal. I've seen you, crying in such pain. I can hardly live with your pain. I feel so guilty, and it makes it hard to not end everything. I know, moi, talking about feelings, but this is important. I need to somehow make things up to you, please accept my apologies. I know you haven't, even though you said so. I will do everything in my power to make things right. With the biggest apologies, Discord. A tear ran down Fluttershy's face. Discord seemed so sincere in this letter. Walking to her room, she put the letter in a cupboard for safe keeping. She didn't know why she wanted to keep it. Maybe, so she knew Discord's intentions to make things right were pure? She didn't know why.
