Sorrow to Happiness

There was once a young colt named Button mash and a filly name Sweetie belle. these two were good friends that surprisingly got along

extremely well and loved to be with one another. the 2 were inseparable. they soon grew feelings for one another.  however their families

soon learned about this and forbid them seeing one another. button's family moved to somewhere near manehatten while sweetie belles

family remained in ponyville. years went by as they soon grew into young adults. the heartbreak still lingered after all the years they spent

apart. one night button began to sing to himself while far away sweetie belle sang as well. the 2 sang  of what was in their hearts and how

they feel.neither one knew how the other even looked like or even their voice. they became complete strangers.

One day when Button was on manehatten he say a white mare that he knew he could recognize...... it was Sweetie belles older sister Rarity.

she was obviously here on business being a famous fashionista. button went up to her and introduced himself to her.

Rarity knew him instantly as the young colt that her sister loved so dearly. Rarity was saddened as well as to see her sister so miserable for so

many years and to only show it in private ever so rarely.

rarity asked Button if he'd like to return with her to ponyville to see her.

inside his head Button was on the urge of leaping into the air with joy. but he remembered he was in public and didn't want to be

embarrassed. as well he needed an excuse to go there if his parents would approve. he agreed to rarity's offer asking her only to give him a

few hours to get what he needed and to also not tell her parents as well as Sweetie belle. rarity was confused at first but immediately knew

why .

she nodded and told him to meet her at the train station at 6:00 which was at least 3 hours away. button said his farewell and rushed back

home gathering his stuff and telling his parents that he got a job opportunity in a nearby town. his parents supported his decision to leave

unknowing his true intentions of leaving.

when gathering his stuff he noticed an old photo of him and sweetie belle. he looked at it with such emotion and said to himself -

Button: " soon Sweetie belle.....soon" packing the photo along with other possessions.

Later meeting Rarity as promised they boarded the train to ponyville and soon were underway. Button immediately started thanking

Rarity for such generosity as to helping him see the love of his life again. rarity smiled and stated calmly

Rarity:" promise me that you will make her happy once more".

button nodded and also started thinking her parents and mine still hate each-other......if we are to stay together then there might only be one

way of doing so.

Later in ponyville button told rarity that he wanted to see sweetie belle in 3 week stating

Button :" i want to reunite with her on the day we first meet"

rarity nodded in agreement to also give him time to prepare

buttons first motion of business was to get a job and an apartment. his parents gave him a small amount of money to do so but a job was

something else

3 days later and he wound up becoming a aid in Twilight's library. he knew it was far from what he wanted but it was a start and payed

decently well

Rarity informed Twilight at the time about the situation ,Twilight agreed to help also planning on getting a few other to help as well mainly

Applejack and Rainbow dash since sweetie belles closest friends are their younger sisters

Sweetie belle was hanging out with her friends when the topic of " dating" was brought up

Sweetie then grew silent

realizing their mistake they immediately started to apologize but sweetie said

Sweetie: " its ok guys"

Scootaloo asked her if she wanted to go to the movies but she respectably declined

Sweetie belle then proceeded to walk home

Once home Sweetie found rarity working on anther dress and sweetie thought

Sweetie:" what else is new-_-"

what she didn't notice until she took a second look was that the dress was more her size instead of the average adults

Sweetie asked rarity for the reason

rarity simply said

Rarity: " it a surprise i want you to wear it in 2 weeks"

Sweetie asked why again

Rarity stated

Rarity: " lets just say it will boost your mood"

Sweetie then went up to her room confused rather than depressed

The time came for the meet and the ones most nervous and scared were Button mash and Sweetie belle

Button for how Sweetie would react to her seeing him after years without such as a hello

sweeties was nervous because she learned that rarity set up a date for her and an unknown stallion who rarity said she knew sweetie

presumed it was pipsqueak or maybe some fan of her singing that rarity pulled into the mix just to make her happy either way sweetie belle

would talk with rarity afterwards

the meeting place was the park where hey originally first meet

as seconds drew onto minutes Button thought

Button:" what if she isn't coming"

then he heard a sweet melody that he thought was beyond beautiful which would make him speechless

and then the moment came once the pair saw one another

Sweetie was wearing a simply summer outfit while Button was wearing a suit that he save up a weeks worth of payment for

Sweetie was stunned at first too many thoughts racing through her head such as

Sweetie:" is he who i think he is" or " why does he look so familiar" to even " for a stallion that rarity said that i may find cute he's

downright adorable"

Button on the other hand was thinking

Button:" oh my celestia s-she's beautiful" and " rarity you really outdone yourself" and also " please don't be mad"

after what seemed like hours button spoke up

Button:" its nice to see you again Sweetie belle ^^ " he said trying not to sound nervous

once those words came out sweetie immediately recognized that voice even if slightly deeper to be the one stallion she never thought she'd

see again

Sweetie belle:" B-Button Mash?!?!?!?" she asked surprised

b]Button:" yeah" clarified button " its me"

Button then closed his eyes and said calmly

Button:" i know you might be mad or even shocked to see me after so long but i just had to see you again sweetie belle even if its for a

short time i wanted to see you-"

but before Button could finish he felt something hit him lightly.....he opened his eyes and saw the one thing he wasn't expecting

Sweetie belle was hugging him eyes closed soft tears running down er cheeks with and wearing a smile that melted Buttons heart

Sweetie:" i'm so happy to see you again" sweetie said tightening the hug only slightly

Button slowly returned the hug on the urge of crying as well but said happily

Button :" i missed you"

Sweetie overjoyed responded simply with

Sweetie:" i missed you too"

As the week passed Button started to enjoy his job and simply being in ponyville again

him and Sweetie belle saw each other pretty much everyday as he was returning from work and Sweetie had never been more happy. the one

stallion she loved had returned and admitted that he had the same feelings after all these years

almost a year later Button mash suggested that the two of them get married

Sweetie belle wanted to agree but immediately remember their families feud thinking if they saw us together they'd kill us

Button saw the look on her face and had an idea.

Button: " what if we disappear" he stated

Sweetie was confused

Sweetie:" what do you mean"

Button clarified

Button: " we could run away even make it look like we died somehow"

Sweetie was shocked at the idea

Sweetie:"WHY WOULD WE DO THAT?!?!?!"

Button then hugged sweetie belle out of nowhere and said calmly

Button:" because i am not going to lose you again"

Sweetie belle's heart skipped a beat the moment she heard those words

Sweetie: " o-ok button.....what do we do though" she asked with worry

Button then said

Button: " rarity could use some of her manikins to fool the public that we died"

Sweetie: " so sis is on board with the plan" Sweetie asked

Button:" along with her friends and ours" Button said

she paused to think then said

Sweetie: " if it means i can be with you then i'm in"

An incident  came as to where a small cabin burned down said top have been caused by unknown reasons and the victims were said to

be no other than local musical star Sweetie belle and 1 Button mash but their bodies were unidentifiable.....the only clue as to who the victims

were was an eye witness none other than Twilight Sparkle

at first the public was in shock but almost after a few weeks it was forgotten

meanwhile Button and Sweetie belle made themselves new identities thanks to the efforts of a few friends Button meet in manehatten

the two were happily living their lives and soon on their way to starting a family
