Adventures of Pinkie and Pinkie
By: PinkieCannon
"So, Pinkie, what should we do today?" a voice questioned with such a smooth tone it might normally send chills through a person's body. But this voice did not speak to a person, instead it spoke to a vibrant pink equine that walked effortlessly alongside the speaker.
"How about we go for a swim at the river?" The pink pony chided in an energetic demeanor. The pony stood proudly next to the equally colored and framed colt. Her manner of walking was less a walk and more exactly like a bounce. The bounce was so unique and fluent it seemed she could bend the anatomy of the ground beneath her.
"But Pinkie, you know it's bear season!" the first figure said, his voice and snout pitched, pointing out his attempt at reasoning. The colt walked peacefully next to the mare he had spent his entire life with. A determined look formed onto his face, with his green iris' seeming to glow next to the barely white, bloodshot sclera that were positioned in even sockets. The face of this pony was incredibly identical to the mare he travels with, and seemed to take on an infinite joy that seemed unable to be shaken.
"Oh come on silly, don't be such a downer! When did a simple ol' bear give us any problems?" Pinkie Pie joyously reassured her companion. Her giant, cotton-candyesque, tail bounced wildly behind her well-defined flank. The mass of her body was accented by a distinct mark on either side of her rear. A series of three blue and yellow balloons that grew so perfectly with her that one would simply conclude that the marks were nothing than her fur having been dyed.
"Now, let's be serious, what chance do two ponies our size have against an eight hundred pound bear?" the colt countered with a sincere pause in his stride. His mane flowed proudly in the rare gusts that found its way through the thick forest he called home. Its vibrant pink glow was made more apparent by the shine of the grease, which was earned by the sweetened atmosphere of the mountains that hid this unique couple.
"Well, Fluttershy doesn't seem to have a problem with them." Pinkie says with a short giggle under her breath. Her blue eyes flitter, managing to extract the seriousness, if there was any, from the situation.
"True, very true, but Fluttershy isn't here right now is she?" the younger looking pony points out in a less than serious tone. He gives a heartfelt wink and smirk to Pinkie and takes a hard look down the path he and the mare had carved throughout the incredibly thick forest.
After some time of silent walking, they catch the sound of a flowing river. They look to each other, both wearing an unmistakable grin across their faces, and begin galloping full speed to their intended destination. Pinkie Pie proves the be the quicker by far and reaches the bank of the river first. Upon reaching the river however, the joy of the race is immediately drained from her face.
"PC, don't come this way!" she shouts back to her accomplice. The colt continues to run on, whether he did not hear her, or just didn't care is unknown. He bursts through the shrub line but immediately halts his pumping legs, sending him sliding across the loose and wet pebbles. The expression he wore was one of complete horror when he saw what awaited him.
"Mom..." the horrified pony's voice trailed off. He positioned himself next to the equally horrified mare. They stood at the edge of the trees with their jaws hanging loosely beneath them, unable to make a sound.
"PC, I think you were right, it's bear season. On the count of three, run." Pinkie says after a moment. What the two ponies faced was an unbelievable amount of bears feasting away on the doomed salmon that attempted to make their way upstream. Blood was plastered all around the river in a way that appeared to be right out of a horror fic. Without even counting, both of the pink ponies turned tail and galloped quicker than they ever imagined possible. the colt was still a bit shaken and stumbled over a small downed tree. "PinkieCannon!" the mare shouted out and backtracked to her friend to help him up and insulting him the whole time. "Come on son, don't be such a klutz, not at this time.
"Sorry mama." PC replied solemnly while regaining his hooves to continue the escape.

After some tome of running, the two ponies return to a cottage that was placed humbly in a clearing. The trees around had an abundance of foliage, providing the area with a very cooling shade. Though the foliage was quite thick, it was barely spring, giving the sun-spotted clearing time to grow whatever it may have stored over winter. The small family of equines gave a huge sigh of relief and a comical smirk to each other along with a chuckle upon entering the clearing.
"I'll go ahead and fetch us some water." Pinkie Pie says, still breathing heavily. She cheerfully enters the cottage that sheltered her and her son to find two small, four-legged, fuzzy silhouettes in the corner of the cottage that she kept food. "Shoo, go on, get out of here you darned scavengers!" she shouts at the intruders, causing them to leap into the air and back themselves deeper into the corner. Pinkie steps aside to give the creatures a clear path to the door, which the quickly take.
"Ah, what the hay!?" PinkieCannon frantically shouts. He makes his way around the raccoons and enters his home. After entering the cottage, PC makes his way to the food pantry and begins devouring a cupcake made by him and Pinkie Pie the night before. "Hey mama, when do you think the bears will be gone?" the young colt asked in a hopeful tone.
"Oh you're so silly PC. They'll be gone when the fish are gone of course!" Pinkie Pie answers in a joyous and almost sarcastic tone. She casually trots over to her companion's side and ruffles his already unkempt mane with a sturdy hoof. "Let's go out for another walk, but not to the river this time. I'd hate to upset an entire battalion of bears." she chirped and walked out of the cottage.
"We should go visit Gummy! We haven't been out there for weeks, and we're running low on blueberries." PC suggests with a massive skip in both his step and voice.
"I suppose that's true! I bet he's grown up to be a ferocious pony-eater now/" Pinkie Pie agrees with a sharp giggle.
The two pink ponies skip off towards the marshlands, only stopping when they spot easily-accessible blueberries. The two share a few past encounters before being stopped by a massive fallen tree in the path. Either side of the path is filled with large, sharp thorns and the thickest muck imaginable.
"Well then, that's inconvenient! How are we gona' get past?" Pinkie Pie questions with a confounded look on her snout.
"No worries, I happen to have my incredibly awesome 'Double Rainbow Ray Gun,' or, 'The Dash Blaster' for cooler and more fitting ears." the colt says while wearing an incredibly smug look on his face. PC pulls out a multi-colored and terrestrial-looking pistol from his flank-sac.
"Where in Equestria did you get that?!" the mare aggressively questions with a completely shocked expression.
"RD gave it to me just before we left. She said something along the lines of, "Now, this bad-boy right here packs enough rainbow power to cut a hole through an entire mountain." Yeah, that sounds about right. PC says with the most innocent smile imaginable
"Oh Dashie, always got a trick up your mane." Pinkie Pie whispers to herself, drifting off into a distant end enjoyable memory between the two mares.
"What's that?" PC questions.
"Oh, nothing, just shoot the tree." she replies, drifting back to that memory. It was a flavorful and sweet memory she thought.
"Okie dokie lokie!" PinkieCannon shouted as he pulled the trigger, which was followed by a pulsated humming sound and a growing light. After a few more seconds of intensifying light and humming, a loud 'fwooshing' sound and extremely bright colors emitted from the gun. A beam of light exited the barrel and slammed into the tree. A hole was left through the bottom of the tree and a massive crater under it. "A little low, but it'll do." he said with an embarrassed look on his slightly singed head.
"Interesting." the pink mare said with a hearty giggle that held a few snorts. The two made their way through the improvised tunnel and continue to make their way through the swamp to meet Gummy.
P.S. This is a test to see how people like my writing. There is an obvious cut-off to this story that I plan on writing if, and only if, enough Bronies like this one. So, I do hope you enjoy!
