A Miraculous Tale

Chapter 01

Effie POV

I woke up to the smell of some freshly baked cherry pie. I stopped snuggling my blanket and did my morning arm stretches and jumped off my bed. Forgive me for the improper introduction. I'm Effie Chevalier. Currently, I'm living in London with my mum, dad and baby brother Oliver. My dad is British while my mum is French. That's the reason why i'm in England. Anywho, I went to the washroom and took a short brisk shower. After that I got everything ready and changed my clothes. That's my usual morning routine.

"Hey! Don't forget me!" A small voice squeaked from under my blankets. It was non other than my kwami, Bippi. She might look like a sweet little angel, but she is one. sassy. DIVA!

"Ok, jeez! I was just about to wake you up!" I lied. It was funny to see her morning face though. After she was done getting ready, she hopped into my bag and i rushed downstairs to eat my breakfast.

"Good morning sweet-heart!" My mum said, putting a slice of pie at the table.

"Morning mum!" I said as I smiled in glee. My dad already left for work, and Oliver is obviously still asleep. I quickly ate the pie and gulped down some fresh orange juice.

"Ok sweetie, be safe! Don't talk to any strangers! Oh and i re-charged your camera" My mum said, handing out my shiny black camera. I hugged her as i grabbed it and ran outside. The bus was right on time. I quickly scooted to the bus and sat on the front seat. I opened my bag and put the camera in. I took out my phone and started texting my best friend, Alois.

Effie- Heyo!

Alois- Yo! ur comin to my place right?

Effie- Cha!

Alois- Kay! I'll be out soon!

I sighed as I kept the phone back in the bag. It was a long distance from my house to school. So I took the bus, then they dropped me off at Alois's place and we'd walk to school together because the school was closer to his place. The bus suddenly stopped. I guess I talked to much. Hey, at least it killed time! I got off the bus with a grin. I was now standing infront of one of the most biggest mansions in London. Its mostly know as 'The Brook Mansion' Because the owners were  Mr and Mrs Brook. The golden gates opened, revealing a tall blonde boy, namely Alois.

"Good morning Ef!" He said, as he hugged me.

"Gooooood mornin'" I said as I hugged him back. Now it was time for us to walk to school.

"Oh and I took this picture yesterday.." I said as I showed a picture of 'Raven' a famous superhero in London to Alois. He blushed but quickly smiled.

"Thats a really cool photo.." He said as he grabbed my camera and started observing it while we were walking. We arrived at school after a few minutes. We silently walked. The silence was soon broken by Caelin. Since Alois is a child actor everyone knows and loves him. Especially Caelin.

"Good morning my little muffin~" She cooed at Alois. Who was giving me the 'HALP' face. He is a nice guy, so he doesn't like to hurt others feelings.. He finally gave up on trying to get help from me.

"G-good morning. P-please get off of me. Its a bit uncomfortable..." Alois stuttered through his words. She looked stunned and then released him from her grasps. She then looked at me with a ticked off face.

"Ugh! You! Why do you have to be friends with a handsome guy like him? Like I don't even know why he chose you over me! He's wasting his time with you!" She said, 'trying' to make me cry or run away like in those sad romance movies. But no, this is reality. Which means she can't be the boss of me!

"I’m sorry, was I meant to be offended? The only thing offending me is your face" I said with a satisfied grin on my face, while I saw Alois, covering his laughter but failed. She then just did one of those hair flips like in those commercials and started to walk away.

"Shes *pant* gonna *pant* sue *pant* you!" Alois said, in between his laughter and breathing. Her dad is a business man and her mums a doctor. And the worst of it is, my mum and her mum are like bff's! But like I care. I just raised my chin and started to walk to my locker.
