He looked around, the clean fresh air of his home planet filled his sinuses with spicy delight. The apologetic heat hardly even was hot. The twin stars were having a day off obviously. The park where he was stationed was full of ponies, some with wings, some with horns, some with nothing at all. But they all donned the same marking on their flank, an hourglass. Some were nearly empty, others were full, and others were in between. Usually ponies have distinguishable marks on the flank, or more generally known as 'cutie marks'. But these ponies were different, they were member to specific sub species found on another planet. Time Ponies. They are born with these cutie marks. The amount of sand in the hourglass actually specifies how much of life a time pony has left. You might be thinking that there is no way not even the most powerful magic could measure ones lifespans, and you are absolutely correct. The hourglass is actually measuring how many more lives one has left. That may raise some more questions. You see, not only is the Time Pony and subspecies of Pony, it is also an ancient and powerful race. Normal ponies are granted with amazing abilities but ... Time Ponies, even more so. They have the ability to 'cheat death' if you will. When a time pony sustains a life threatening injury he will undergo an even called a 'regeneration' which gathers up all the cells that are dying and redistributes them and fixes them. It fixes the pony but it changes the ponies genetic make up. Generally a time pony can only do this thirteen times. But it has so happened that ponies have surpassed this number.
A strong gust hit his ears. The drooped scarf that reached to his hooves swayed. The coat blew out of the way and revealed an hourglass partially empty. It was no secret that this particular stallion was old. About 749. Or so he says. His name is the Doctor. Well, that is the name he chose. His broad floppy hat covered his face, rendering it impossible to observe is facial features. He suddenly turned around in response to an intercom behind him.
'Alerting all troops, search for and apprehend the pony known as the Doctor immediately. I repeat. search for and apprehend the pony known as the Doctor immediately.'
The Doctor sprinted down a narrow alleyway, he made his way through the seemingly endless maze that was a Gallopfreyan street. As he vaulted over a small fence and off a small ledge he land face first. Slowly rising he frantically looked around. His eyes fixated on one sign, Tardis Launch Bay. The sign pointed east, he took off east down many other alleyways. Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Left, Right. Finally he reached a big door. He mashed the open button. He heard guns cocking and quickly spun around. There was a mare, surrounded by troops who all pointed their guns at the Doctor. The mare looked calm and confident and stepped up the him,
"Doctor, there has to be another way, you don't need to get off Gallopfrey"
"Well Missy, you know how it is, business calls"
"Are you just going to steal a Tardis and leave?!"
"Well, why not? I've my toothbrush"
The Doctor quickly slid under the slow opening door behind him. He ran past many cylendrical looking containers as he muttered to himself.
"Type 28, Type 35, Type 38, Type 40"
He quickly hopped into the type 40 Tardis and was met with a faulty chameleon circuit. It's form was getting confused and flashed past many possible forms. The Doctor fiddled with some controls and suspended it on a blue police box form, he fiddled with some more controls and took off.
*Thwoom, Thwoom, Thwoom, Thwoom*
"Stay safe Dinky!"
Ditzy sent off her beautiful foal as she hopped down the path to the lovely field she loves to play in. The vast greenness of it always made her feel warm and fuzzy. Not to mention she loved the wildlife and would often nurture bugs and animals. Dinky was inspired by Fluttershy's love for animals. Maybe today she would find a rabbit, she could call it Angel 2 ![]()
Dinky continued to hop through the clovers until she came face to face with some burning grass. She continued to follow the burning grass and discovered a piece of wood that had been flicked from the nearby forest. She continued down the track until a magnificent piece of blue met her eyes. It had came to rest on a tree. That's what would have caused the wood to flick over from the forest.
Out came a disorientated Stallion. He was in need of emergency medical help.
"He-hello ... i'm th-the Do-doctor"
He uttered the words weakly.
