Chapter 7
"Take him into the room!"
"He needs medical attention! Stat!"
"He's bleeding way too much! Hurry!"
I hear these voices, though I can't see anything. I open my eyes slowly and see nothing but darkness; pitch black darkness. I appear to be floating since my body feels light as a feather. I slowly look down at my stomach and see a glowing red spot, making me remember that I was just stabbed a second ago.
"Am I... dead?"
I continue to look down at my glowing red spot, as I slowly began to feel a sharp pain coming from it. I grit my teeth and place my hands on the wound to apply pressure, but it doesn't work. The pain increased, as I began to give out a yelp. The pain continued to increase, until a bright light came up from ahead. I look up to it, as the light zipped over to me, making the darkness around me turn into light, but not to bright to blind me. The light was a small orb, making me feel comfortable with my surroundings and the pain in my chest subside a little. It then began to take shape; the shape of a lady. She had long flowing white hair, thin white skin, fully black eyes, mouthless, and wore a long white dress that twinkled like diamonds.
"Who... are you?"
The white lady responded by putting a hand upon my own where I clutch onto the pain. I slip my hands away from her, as her hand was on the wound, making my head jerk back from a small sharp pain. I lift my head up and look down to her hand, as the wound slowly began to close up until the spot was gone. Amazing! The pain has disappeared. Who is this strange lady? Could she...
"May I ask you something?"
The white lady removes her hand from my now healed stomach and stood up straight. She looks down at me and gives me a nod of approval.
"Are you... my guardian angel?"
She responds by cocking her head to the side.
"Are you?"
Suddenly, a short rumble caught our attention, as we look around for the source, but couldn't see anything.
"Eren! Wake up Eren!" said a familiar feminine voice that echoed through the vastness of where ever I am.
"Is that... Cadance?"
I look over to the white lady, as she lifts her right arm and points to her right. I look over to where she pointed, as a dark rectangle appeared that grew to the size of a movie theater screen. The screen then began to show a fuzzy image, as it slowly began to clear up from to see. As the image cleared up for a good visual, I see Cadance looking down on the screen with tears in her eyes, as she sobs uncontrollably. As for the background, it looks like a hospital, which makes me wonder if I'm like in a place between the living and the dead. I bet that the screen is from my point of view back on Earth.
"Eren! Come back to me! I... I love you!"
My eyes began to water up from hearing Cadance say that. I wipe the tears away with the side of my arm and look back to the white lady.
"Please," I said, as I clasped my hands, "take me back! I want to be with her again! Please! She means a lot to me! I love her!"
The lady gave me a saddened look and leaned down towards me and wraps her arms around me tenderly. I felt the warmth of her from the touch, as I too hugged it back to whatever reason.
"Go to her," said the white lady, making my eyes lit up with surprise, "love is a powerful thing."
The both of us let go of one another, as we gave each other one last look before we went our separate ways. I look towards the screen, as ten stairs appeared aiming towards it. I look back to the white lady and smiled.
"Thank you, Miss," I said, "I'll never forget you."
Even though she was mouthless, I could tell she was giving me a little smile by the movement of her cheeks. She raises a hand and waves to me. I wave back to her as the ground suddenly became flat for me to walk. It felt good to walk again, as I rushed over to the stairs and made my way up. Before I could head for the exit, I stopped and look back down at the white lady.
"Again, are you my guardian angel? You seem like one."
"Do I?" asked the white lady.
"I think you are. You didn't just save my life... you saved hers too. I'll remember you! Bye!"
I turned around and entered the screen, making everything go blinding bright.
I open my eyes and look over to my left and see Cadance face down on my side of the hospital bed. I slowly lift my left hand and place it gently on her head.
"H-hi, C-Cadance," I said, as Cadance slowly looks over to me with surprise.
"E-Eren?" said Cadance with a sniffle.
"I'm h-here," I said, as I took my hand off of her head.
Her eyes lit up with happiness, as she takes my hand and holds it tightly. More tears came down her beaming face, as she sobbed ever more than what I saw earlier with the white lady.
"I'm sho glhad you're alive," said the sobbing Cadance, as she gives me a tearful smile with little of snot dripping down.
"I'm glad to be alive," I said, as I held her hand tightly as I could, "but seriously, you need a tissue. There's snot coming down your nose."
She gives out a laugh, making me laugh along with her as well, but faintly. I felt a little of pain from my stomach. I pulled up my blanket and looked down at my now patched up stomach from Chrysalis's knife.
"The doctors said you were stabbed pretty badly," said Cadance, as she reached over for the tissues and blew her nose, "it took hours just get you cleaned up and healed. I'm so glad they saved your life."
"No," I said, "it wasn't the doctors that healed me. Twas beauty that healed me."
Cadance smiled, as she threw her tissue away and gave my hand a kiss.
"You're so cliche," giggled Cadance.
"That and also because of my guardian angel."
"Guardian angel? What are you talking about?"
"I think I met my guardian angel. I was in a place that seemed to be in the middle of the world of the living and dead. In there, I met this guardian angel who healed my wounds and brought me back to you. She was so kind to bring us back together again."
"You serious?"
"She was a very nice lady. Cadance, she is the true reason to why I'm alive. That, and our love for one another."
Cadance smiled and let's go of my hand to sit down on a chair.
"What did she look like? This guardian angel."
"She was white as snow. She had full on black eyes. She even wore a dress that twinkled."
Cadence's eyes widen with surprise; it was as if she knew something that I didn't.
"What's up," I asked, "why so surprised?"
"I saw the same woman in my dream as well."
My eyes lit up; she too has met with the white lady?! I leaned up slowly, but felt a sharp pain. I grunted and slowly leaned back onto my bed.
"Eren," said Cadance, as she fluffs up my pillow, "just lay down. You shouldn't move."
"S-sorry," I said, as I got myself comfortable.
"So the lady I saw looked exactly like your guardian angel from your dream," said Cadance, as she wraps her blanket around herself, "before I woke up, shows interrupting my dream to tell me something. She said, 'he is alive. Don't worry too much. Wake up and you shall see.' That's what she said."
"Looks like she can slip into other people's heads. Weird."
"And like she said, there you were."
"Seems like we both know her."
"I guess so."
The room went quiet, as Cadance and I had a silent moment with one another. Suddenly, the door to the room opens and comes in principal Celestia holding a very small pot with posies. She looks down at me and smiles faintly.
"Good to see you awake, young man," said principal Celestia, sash puts the pot of posies on the hospital night stand.
"P-principal Celestia," I sai with surprise, "what are you doing here?"
"I wanted to see you," said principal Celestial, as she sits on the chair to my right, "Cadance, why don't you wait outside for a minute, okay?"
"Yes auntie," said Cadance, as she sat up and walked her way out of the room.
As the door shuts behind Cadance, I look back at principal Celestia, who continued to look down on me.
"D-did I do something wrong, principal Celestia," I asked with worry.
"First of all, when we're outside of school, call me Celestia. Second, I want to say thank you. You saved my nieces life and you put your own life at risk to do your best. I'm so glad Cadance made the 911 call before that little Chrysalis wench could do anything to her."
"She called 911?"
"She did it after you were stabbed. Are you feeling okay?"
"My stomach hurts, but it'll take me some time to heal."
"That's good to know," said Celestia with a smile, "you are a good man, Eren. I'm glad you and my niece are in one piece."
I smiled back at her till I gave out a yawn.
"How long was I out?"
"About two weeks now."
"Two weeks? Must have been serious."
"You were found bleeding a lot and they took hours to stitch you up."
"Cadance told me that."
"Looks like you'll be here for possibly a week or two more."
"I can stay as long as it takes to get healed. Can I tell you something, Celestia?"
"Of course."
"I'm glad I've met a girl like Cadance. You did a fine job raising here."
"I'm glad she's met a guy like you. She talks about you a lot."
I gave out another yawn before pulling up more blankets.
"I think I need some more sleep," I said, as I rubbed my temples.
"I'll leave you be," said Celestia, as she sat up and gives out a stretch, "I also told Discord about this. He understands."
"Thank you."
"Au contraire," said Celestia, as she walked around my bed, "it is I who should thank you."
"Oh. Right."
The both of us smiled, before she left me alone in the quiet room.
"White lady," I said, as I closed my eyes, "thank you."
