Spirit was kicking back, playing Kingdom Hearts Final Mix on his PS3 when he heard a knock on the door. He hit pause, then got up. “Coming!” He walked over and opened up the door, revealing a yellow pegasus with a tri-butterfly Cutie Mark. “Oh, hey, Flutters, how’s it goin’? Here, c’mon in,” he offered, stepping aside. She nodded and came in, and Spirit shut the door behind her. “I got a few pops in the fridge, want anything?”

“O-oh, no, thank you, I’m fine.

He shrugged, grabbing one out of the kitchen for himself. “Alright. So, what brings you here?”

“Well, you see, um… You do know Shattered Heart, right? My marefriend?”

He nodded. “Yup. I’ve never met her, personally, but you’ve told me a bit about her.”

“Well, we heard about this concert, and, well, we wondered if maybe you wanted to go?” She hid her face slightly behind her hair.

He smiled. “Sounds interesting, who’s playing?”

“It’s a group called Applewood Undead… The name sounds a bit scary, but Shattered was really excited when she heard. And, I knew that you like this sort of music, so…” She nervously twirled a strand of hair.

Nodding, Spirit took a sip of his soda. “That sounds like fun, when is it?”

“I-it’s in a few days, oh, Shattered will be so excited to hear that you’re coming, she’s been wanting to meet you ever since she heard that you play video games, too.”

He perked up. “Oh, she’s a gamer? Awesome! What kind of games does she go for?”

Fluttershy thought for a few seconds. “I’m not sure, her games are a little scary for me, so I don’t watch too much, but I’ve seen her play zombie games on her Xbox and Playstation 3 before…”

“Sweet. Maybe we could do a gaming session sometime, hmm… Well, anyway, sure! I’d love to go to the concert. Lemme know when you get the tickets. You girls have a ride?

She sighed. “W-well, my parents’ car is in the shop… The transmission went out.”

He winced in sympathy. “Ouch, tough break. That’ll cost a pretty penny to fix.” He shrugged. “I got my car, it’s a ‘67 Impala. I could give y’all a ride.”

“Oh, that would be great! T-that is, if it’s not too much of a problem…”

“Nah, to be honest, I love to show it off. It’s a beautiful black, seriously the coolest car ever.”

Fluttershy squeed and sent a message to her marefriend, initiating the following conversation:

Shattered, he said yes! Order the tickets… if it’s no trouble, please.

Already ordered three tix, Flutters. Come home, I have a surprise for you.

Coming! Just have to say goodbye to Spirit.

Fluttershy hugged Spirit quickly before jetting out the door. She wondered out loud, “I wonder what she has planned?”

A text from Shattered Heart quickly put her at ease.

It’s not anything sexual, if you’re wondering. I’m saving that for when you’re in heat ;)

Meanwhile, at the cottage, Shattered Heart lit some pink tealight candles, burned some jasmine incense sticks in the bathroom and drew a warm bath for her lover. She pulled out her iPod and chose an Ellie Gelding playlist to play for her relaxing bath. Suddenly a soft voice came through the hallway.

“Hello? Shattered?”

The gray mare smiled and left the bathroom. She tiptoed over behind her lover and covered the yellow mare’s eyes, gently guiding her to the bathroom. Shattered left her with a kiss on the cheek, allowing her to enjoy her bath.
