Long, long ago, back in the days before the Princesses, when the newly unified ponies were exploring the world before them, one particular expedition landed a discovery of a massive island in the Sea of Ghosts. But not just any island. The Island of the Saltborn. Upon it's discovery, many brave scholars died trying to unearth it's many secrets. Dark magic hung over the Island like a stormcloud, and, eventually, and with great effort, the best mages, including even Starswirl himself, sealed the Island away. But now, after thousands upon thousands of years, the seal is waning, and many explorers are setting out to find the fabled, and cursed, Island.

Will they survive? Who knows...

But a group of ponies sent by the Princesses may just find out...
