Fancy Fashion And Flatulence
Canterlot: The shining capital of pony society and a pure example of what the lap of luxury truly is. For many ponies, coming to Canterlot is a real treat as many cannot afford the prices to live in the great city or even shop there. Despite all this there are still many that reside in this bright beacon, working, studying, and altogether living to make a good living for themselves or those they love. In this great city fashion is a very important thing as it is a status symbol of great wealth, taste, and personal status. Among the great fashion industries and shops of the city there is one that is rising to great status and that is Ms. Rarity's Boutique. Having only opened about 1 year ago the shop is doing very well and business is booming. With business booming this means more helping hooves are needed at the shop.
Coco Pommel gives Rarity a call stating that she has a big favor to ask of her and that it would mean a lot to her if she accepted. Her sister, Minty Pommel, has just graduated from fashion school and she is in need of a job to help her pay off a few loans she took. Rarity being the element of generosity states that she would be more than happy to help her Manehattan friend out and give her sister a job. Coco Pommel thanks her for this chance and states that her sister will begin work for her as soon as possible. Two weeks later after all the applications are done and formalities are out of the way Minty Pommel is an official fashion designer and helper at the Rarity Boutique in Canterlot. Now Minty Pommel was a young, pretty 21 year old Earth Pony mare with a similar cream coat color like her sister but she had a much more bright blue mane and tail with white stripes. Throughout her life she had always loved fashion and being pretty like her sister but she had one problem. Minty had a very active colon along with a fast metabolism. Now for those who are not well informed with how biology works; a pony who has a combination of a fast metabolism along with an overactive colon tends to...well....rip flank a lot. This was a problem that Minty had faced all throughout her life and despite her best attempts she still struggled with it. She was a very beautiful and polite mare so having this as a curse was hard for her, especially for her line of work where everything is supposed to be pretty, perfect, and proper.
It was Minty's first day of work and time in the big city of Canterlot and there was a lot to take in. Even though she came from a bustling city Canterlot was still very overwhelming in many respects. Minty had made sure to wake up extra early that day as to get dressed into a nice top and pony skirt and also to get herself something to eat for breakfast. She stopped at a local cafe and got a breakfast sandwich and a coffee to go with it before she got onto a bus to take her to Rarity's Boutique. At around 8:30 AM she arrived just as Sassy Saddles was unlocking the door to the shop. She walked over and gave a polite smile as she introduced herself. "Hello ma'am I'm Minty Pommel. It's my first day working here and I just thought I would say hi." she said as she brushed part of her blue mane out of her face with a hoof. Sassy Saddles looks over with a judging eye looking Minty up and down before speaking. "Well miss Pommel I must say you are very punctual and that's good. However if you are going to work here long-term you will need some classier clothes to match such a place as this. Now please...follow me." She raises the keys up with her magic and unlocks the door to the shop before walking in with Minty trailing behind her. Minty had a feeling that some of the ponies in Canterlot would be snooty but she wanted this job and so for the time being she would put up with what she had to in order to keep her job. She trotted in and was given a quick tour of the boutique being told just where her station was and what her tasks were. Just as soon as the tour had begun it ended as the clock sounded the start of the work day.
Two Hours Into The Work Day
Minty sat at her sewing station completing the orders she had been given which sat as a large stack of papers on the end of a table behind her. She had really wanted to make her sister as well as her boss proud and so she was working hard using all her skills she had learned at fashion school. As Minty was working she felt her stomach rumble and give an audible gurgle as the breakfast sandwich she had eaten earlier was not sitting well with her for some reason. The cute, cream colored mare groans a little and puts a hoof to her stomach as she feels the gas churning inside. "Great Minty, its your first day on the job and you already are dealing with this problem." The young mare sighed and got up to go use the restroom at the back of the boutique but much to her dismay she found that the restroom was already occupied. She groaned in dismay as she felt her stomach gurgle and move a large pocket of gas through her large intestines towards her plothole. Now it was a race of time for where Minty could go before she had to rip flank. To do such a nasty and un-marelike thing in front of anypony would be a mortifying and potentially career ending event for her. Minty quickly trotted back into her work space and closed the door behind her before feeling a large surge of gas preparing to blast out of her plothole. She quickly looked around the room and spotted a basket of unused fabrics that sat in the corner away from the door. Having no other options with the pressure at her plothole getting ready to burst out she quickly trotted over to the basket. She swished her blue and white tail out of the way and sat her skirt-clad plot down on the pile of fabrics being sure to press her plothole up against a pile of purple velvet. Minty gave a quick look around the room one last time right before loosening the grip she had on her plothole.
BMMMFFFFUUUUAPPP!
A huge four second blast of muffled, stinky gas left her plothole and permeated into the fabrics below her making a rather raspy, bassy sound that could not be heard by anyone outside the room. Minty gave a sigh of relief and got up before sniffing the air around her. It had a pungent smell of rotten veggies and decomposing grass. "Thank Celestia no pony was here for that." She smiled and trotted back over to her desk just as she heard a knock on the door. Minty turned around and nervously spoke. "U-um who is it?" The voice of another mare answered her as it was one of her fellow co-workers at the boutique. She got up from her seat and opened the door to her work space, hoping that the pony would not smell her most recent gassy escapade. "Oh hello Minty! I was just wondering if you had any purple velvet I could borrow since there seems to be none in the back and I need it to finish the trim on a dress." Minty shifted on her front hooves nervously as she looked over at the pile quickly. "Yeah I um..have some that you could use. Just tell me how much you need." She trotted over to the box of purple fabrics in the corner with the still distinct smell of her last fart in the air around it. "Oh I just need only one or two pieces and that will do dear." said the mare. Minty quickly dug her hooves into the box and pulled out the piece of fabric that was closest to the bottom of the box and handed it to the mare. She thanked Minty and commented on how nice her dresses were turning out before walking out of the room. Minty gave a sigh of relief and closed the door behind her before going back over to her desk and sitting down. A small pocket of gas was again felt at her rump but instead of holding it back Minty decided it would be best to let it out before it built up again. She leaned over onto her left plot cheek and gave a small feminine grunt before a tiny blast of smelly gas left her backside.
Frappss~
Minty Pommel sighed and rolled her eyes as the air around her skirt-clad plot became a bit smelly. Looking over at the clock across the room she saw it was lunch time. Well at least now she could get a small meal and buy some Gas-X pills before she came back to work. Right as Minty had gotten up and gathered her small saddle bag and was headed to the door of the shop the same mare that had spoken with her earlier waved and walked over to her. "Hey Minty since you are officially part of the Boutique team would you care to join me and some of the other girls here for a quick afternoon brunch? We would really love it if you came with us." A voice in Minty's head said 'hell no this is a VERY bad idea' yet at the same time another said that 'it would be rude to refuse such an invitation from a pony who is only trying to be a friend.' After a quick internal debate Minty decided that she would have to bite the bullet and figure out how to deal with her gas later as she would join the mares for lunch. "I would love that." Minty said as she feigned a smile. "Well that's great! Come on girlfriend and lets get going." said the purple mare as she walked out of the shop with the other two mares. Minty followed after them and got in a taxi. After about an hour of eating some very delicious food and having a glass of wine to go with her meal Minty and the other mares finished and headed back to the boutique. Now Minty was going to go get some Gas-X pills from a nearby shop but there had been a robbery there and the whole store was blocked off. Cursing her luck Minty headed back into the boutique and got ready to take over her second and final shift of the day which was handling the customer department with the sales of dresses. It did not take a genius to know that after a large meal like Minty had eaten she would have some serious gas, and worse of all was that she had to be out on the floor helping other ponies. Minty facehoofed and got ready for what was to come.
About 45 Minutes Later
Just like Minty had thought the large meal she had eaten was already digesting and not sitting very well with her. As she walked around helping ponies her stomach would occasionally let out a loud and ominous gurgle or growl. She looked down as she stopped behind a clothing rack and sat down. Looking down at her stomach she noticed that its surface was a bit bloated as she rested a hoof over its surface. Minty looked around as her stomach gave the same ominous gurgle like earlier and she felt a large amount of gas building in her stomach, however this time it was A LOT more. Standing up she went to go try to sneak off to the restroom, but Sassy cut her off along the way and pointed over to a pink, unicorn mare that was looking at a dress on the far side of the store. Minty sighed and gave a nod before stating she would help her right away as she was still trying to impress those in charge at the boutique. Minty gingerly trotted over in the direction where the other pony was but she was suddenly stopped as she felt a massive surge of gas head for her plothole. She groaned and looked up to see who was around her. Thankfully no pony was looking at her at the moment for what she was about to do next. With no other options and not enough time left Minty Pommel turned around facing her sexy plot towards a rack of dresses behind her. She whipped her bright tail out of the way of her plothole and stepped back before planting her posterior into the rack of clothes behind her. Not wanting to draw too much attention to herself she bent down with her front hooves like she was looking for something and let loose with a bassy rip into the dresses behind her.
BBBBFFFFARARUUMMPPPHH!!
The massive 5 second blast of very stinky pony gas left her plothole with great force and heat as it pushed into the dresses behind her rump. The blast of gas filled up the first dress with an incredibly awful veggie scent and warmed the front of it a bit. Minty looked around and sighed in relief as she pulled her plot back from the rack of dresses and swished her tail to fan away some of the gas. Seeing the unicorn she was supposed to help was beginning to look impatient Minty trotted over quickly and asked how she might help. "Oh thank goodness I was wondering if I was going to get any help. I would like to know which dress you think better suits me." stated the pink unicorn. Minty answered honestly and got to helping her pick a dress out along with (for some reason) a pair of pony panties to go with them. The mare thanked Minty before going over to a dressing room to try on the panties and dress in. However, right before the mare entered the room a loud fart blasted out from her big plothole nestled between her plump plotcheeks.
BLAARRPP!
The unicorn mare quickly covered her mouth with a hoof in embarrassment and rushed into the dressing room, leaving behind a stinky fart cloud. Her partner who was sitting on a bench nearby laughs and shakes his head after witnessing the little event. "Guess she shouldn't have had all those hay fries" he says as he looks back down at his personal PDF device. Minty chuckles a bit and goes over to the dressing room where the mare was. Looking around she makes sure no pony is watching as she squeezes out a loud fart near the dressing room the unicorn mare is in.
BFRAAAMMPH!
Minty quickly turns around and gives a look at the dressing room and shakes her head before trotting away as some other ponies in the store look over near the dressing room where the noise of the farts came from. A stinky cloud of pony gas is left over near the dressing room as Sassy Saddles walks over right into it. She gags and covers her muzzle with a hoof before trotting away to go find some air freshener. So far so good Minty says to herself as she gives a sexy shake of her plot before walking back to her work space. Another large pocket of gas is felt building near her plothole making her look back at her rump. Minty quickly trots over to the box of fabrics in the back of the room and plants her sexy plot on it again before giving a grunt and loosening her sphincter.
BBBAAAAAMMMMPPHHrrrrAAAAMMMMPPPHTHssssss!!!
By far the largest fart of the day is released from Minty's plothole as it rumbles and blasts into the fabrics below her for a total of 8 seconds. The nasty and very stinky blast of gas singes into the top layers of the fabric and heats them up a few degrees. Feeling most of the gas dissipate Minty decides to let a few more rump blasts go into the box before getting back up. She gives another push and a series of smelly farts pop out from her ass.
BrrrT! BRAmmmph! Pooot! Parp! Frammph!
Feeling the last of the gas leave her plothole minty gets up only to have a big whiff of her doing follow her on the way up. The smell was that of rotten eggs, nasty veggies, and the regular smell of a fart. Minty swished her tail around to air out the area above the box as she readjusted her skirt and top. The pretty, tan coated mare walked out of the room and closed the door behind her before heading out to help other ponies in the boutique before the day ends.
Three Hours Later
It was getting near closing time now and Minty was tired from her first day of work at the shop. Everypony was making final purchases and leaving the shop so it could be closed up soon. For the most part Minty felt that she had gotten rid of the majority of her gas earlier in the day but inside she could feel one last big residual fart building. "By the Princesses it just doesn't stop does it?" Minty asked herself. She headed over to a nearby dressing room to rid herself of the final bit of gas as the restroom had been locked up for the day. Not looking back Minty backed up, swished her tail up over her right flank, and pushed her plot out only to feel the texture of another pony's coat and warmth of it meet her plothole. It was too late to stop however, Minty had already loosened the grip on her plot and a big blast of stinky gas singed into the chest and coat of whoever was behind her.
BBBRRRRRAAAAMMMMPPTHSSSSSSsss!!
The warm, massive 5 second long fart was muffled by the coat and body of whoever was behind her as the stinky smell singed into their coat. Minty put a hoof up to her mouth in pure horror and embarrassment as she slowly pulled her plot off the chest of the pony and turned around. A tall, muscular grey stallion stood there in about as much shock as Minty was in. Tears came to Minty's eyes as she tied to speak but only got out a few barely audible words. "A-ah Oh-oh my I'm so, so sorry. I'm sorry sir, please it was an accident." said Minty in a desperate apologetic attempt. The stallion shook his head and spoke in a country accent. "Miss....I don't recon I ever knew a mare could rip flank like that. I forgive ya hon and it honestly sounds like you're under a lot of stress. I won't say a thing to anypony so just take a deep breath and try to calm down." Minty laughed in disbelief for a second but then it caught up to her what the stallion had said. "T-thank you so much. You don't know how much this job means to me." said Minty to the kind stallion. He nodded and stated that she seemed like a very kind and nice mare and he asked if she might like to start out on a different hoof and maybe get a coffee or meal sometime. Minty smiled warmly and said that a drink would be very nice to get sometime that week. The stallion nodded and brushed off his coat a bit before tipping his hat and wishing the mare a nice day. After about 20 more minutes Rarity's boutique is closed down and locked up for the night. Minty smiles and heads back to her place glad that despite the events of the day and her issue that she just might have a place here in Canterlot among the Stars and the Great Ones.
((Side Note: The stallion in the end works at the boutique as a part of the clean up crew for the night. That's the reason he was in the mares dressing room.))
