After the bar closed down for the night me and my friends walk out to the sound of drunks arguing about how the bar should
not close so soon. "I think I might get a hotel for the night" I slur to my friends as I wobble to the closest hotel.
"You have no bits" Dr. Whooves says as a fall on my face
"Can we share a room?" I ask as Dr. Whooves hesitates to get his wallet out." Is there any rooms in this hotel?"
"Only one room 75 two beds 30 bits"
I walk through the hotel door with Dr. Whooves to see two mares telling stories and having a good time in the lounge "Doctor long time no see" says one of the mares.
"Good to see you to Cloudchaser " said Whooves as he blushed. The other mare notice him blushed giggled and whispered something into Cloudchaser's ear then both mares giggled as me and Whooves walk to the reception desk
"Welcome to The Hotel" said the mysterious mare in a suit I feel like I remember the mare's voice
"Lightning Dust? what are you doing here" I ask in confusion as last time I have seen her she was a trainee in the Wonderbolts.
"This is my summer job" she said in a sad tone as she took off her hat.
"We need a room with two beds" interrupted Dr. Whooves.
"Sorry, but we have no more rooms" said Lightning dust as she looked through a clipboard with available rooms
"It said you had on the website" I say in confusion
"What room was this?" asked Lightning Dust confused
"Room 75 two beds"
"I don't think you want that room" Lightning Dust says with a worried expression.
"Why is that?" I ask in confusion as Doctor Whooves was busy eyeing Cloudchaser.
"Their has been some deaths in that room 24 to be exact all suicides"
"Is there any reasons for the suicides?"
"None that the police found but you know the Manehattan police force sweep it under the rug and it's probably alright".
"Look Lightning Dust we just need a room cursed or not"
"Don't say I didn't warn ya if things start happening to you" We bid are farewells as we go to our room to settle down for the night
"Here it is room 75" Whooves says as he tries to open the door with his shaking hove and after a good minute of him fighting the door with the key it opened with a eerie creaking. The first thing we both saw was pill bottle on the floor labeled exit
"Did they never clean the room?"
"I guess since the stories about this room got around they where to afraid to".
"Do you think there could be a body in here?" Dr. Whooves asked as he dropped the key to the room with his shaking."
"I think the police who have taken the bodies".
"Well am off to bed wake me when it's time to leave".
"Really Whooves not even gonna look around the place?"
"I don't think I want to find out what this place has to store". I want to bed soon after Doctor Whooves went to bed because there was nothing to do and the television had no cable box and was just a rainbow on the screen saying no signal on the bottom. About around midnight we both woke to a crying sound coming from the bathroom
"Could that be a sprite from one who died in this room?"
"Your guess is as good as mine Whooves" I got out of bed with whooves right behind me in case things went down hill real quick. We both looked through the creek in the bathroom door to see a bright white stallion crying holding a picture frame of what appeared to be a lost loved one. Before either one of us said anything a loud bang echoed through the entire room we opened the door to the bathroom to find the sprite gone and 1911 on the floor with an two bullets in the clip.
"Did the ghost just relive the past"
"I guess" just as we got closer we saw a picture of a white mare with a pink mane "Is that Nurse Redheart?"
"looks like it" Just as we picked up the picture there was a knocking on the door "Who could that be?" As Dr. Whooves open the door to his surprise he saw a scared Lightning Dust looking like she was in the middle of the city during the purge with nothing but her Whooves
"What on earth are you two doing in here lighting firecrackers or something?"
"No there was a ghost and a gun and it relived the past " said Whooves in a shaky worried tone
"Where?"
"In the bathroom" as we walked into the bathroom to me and Whooves surprise the 1911 and the picture frame was gone
"So you're sure you weren't lighting firecrackers?"
"Yes and did nurse redheart have a love one who died in this room"
"Yes her husband he was here on a business trip, but the next day he was found dead with a 1911 and a picture of nurse redheart in this bathroom. The police blamed on he was depressed and drunk even though there was no alcohol in his blood and he was one of the most happiest stallions I've seen in this hotel , but anything to keep the manehattan police force from doing paperwork."
"Ok well goodnight Lightning Dust"
"Goodnight you two and Whooves Cloudchaser said goodnight."
"Ok" said Dr. Whooves as he began to blush again and lightning dust closed the door on her way out.
"Do you two have something going on?"
"What are you talking about?"
"You're always blushing when you hear anything about Cloudchaser is there something going on that I don't know about."
"Well It's a long story and am tired so I'll tell you about it tomorrow ok?"
"fine." A hour past and I wake to see a sprite overlooking Whooves it looks like a little blue filly and Whooves woke to the ghostly sprite saying the same thing over and over as if replaying the moment it died, but the moment Whooves moved the ghostly figure began to weep and whisper
"Dad why have you abandoned us". I reach for the dim light which had been on the whole time but when I brighten the light bulb burst leave us in the dark and a evil laughing sprite of a filly seeking revenge
"Whooves you had children?"
"No I never" then the lamp where the television was turned on to reveal the words In your past life written in blood on the walls.
"What past life?"
"Wait I had a nightmare about something like this I was in a hotel room after I left my children for dead on the street"
"then what happen?"
"I woke up"
