//-------------------------------------------------------// A Brony's Trial -by Oldtakufanboy- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A Brony's Trial //-------------------------------------------------------// A Brony's Trial It was now 10:45 PM on a Friday night, as Jared lies down on his bed with his PJs on of Green Lantern and a shirt of Pink Floyd's The Wall. He snuggles in and let's out a relaxed sigh. "I'm so excited for season six of My Little Pony to be out soon," said Jared with a yawn, "I can't wait to watch it when it premieres." As he lies on his bed looking up at his white bedroom ceiling, he begins thinking about his family and friends. His smile went to a frown just from thinking about them. It's been a while since he has called them or even hung out with them. Since he discovered My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, he was so hooked to the series that by the end of season five, he has been avoiding them. Every time he wanted to call them, it feels as though an invisible wall was blocking his path to talking to people. It's not for long until he looses his job and soon, his house and everything else. Jared begins to tear up, as he sniffles and clutches tightly onto his blanket. "I need help," he said softly, as he curls into a ball and quietly sobs in his bed. His sobbing soon stops, as he slowly falls asleep. Jared opens his eyes and looks at his surroundings. It was pitch black. He stands up and looks around to find a sliver of light, but couldn't see any. Suddenly, a loud creaking sound is heard in front of him and a blinding light made him look away until his eyes adjusted. A small black figure comes from the light and walks up to him. Jared rubs his eyes and looks back at the small figure, which he begins to get a better view of it. The figure walked on its fours, it had a horn on the forehead, horse ears, folded wings and purple irises. Jared's mouth gaped wide open, as he got a better view of the small figure that came up to him: it was Twilight Sparkle! Jared was speechless; never has he had a dream of Twilight being this close to him. "Y-y-you're Tw-Tw-Tw-" said Jared, until Twilight holds up a hoof to him. "Come with me, Jared," said Twilight, as she turns around and walks back to the light, "we mustn't keep everypony waiting." "Everypony?" said Jared with a cocked eyebrow. Jared follows Twilight through the light and is in a very large courtroom full of ponies and familiar faces looking down at him. Jared screamed internally, as he recognized most of them, including Fluttershy, Pinkie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Starlight, and even Spike. Jared stops, as Twilight points him to a large and comfy chair with two guards on the sides. "What is all of this," asked Jared, as he walks up to the chair and sits down. "Jared," said Twilight, as she puts a hoof on his left hand, "this is a trial." "A trial? For me?" Twilight simply nods, making Jared confused and somewhat worried. "What did I do? I didn't do anything!" shouted Jared. Suddenly, three loud booming sounds came in front of him. He turns his head and sees Celestia looking down at him. "Order in the court," says Celestia in her royal voice, making everypony go silent. Suddenly, Luna walks up to Celestia and sits down besides her looking down at Jared. Twilight walks up and stands between Jared and the royal sisters to clear her throat. Twilight then looks up to Celestia and Luna, who give her a nod to start her saying. "Good morning," said Twilight with a bow to everypony in the courtroom, "a word your highnesses. The crown will plainly show the prisoner who now stands before you was caught red-handed showing feelings. Not just ordinary feelings, feelings of an almost a full on brony nature. This will not do." Jared looks around behind himself, as he sees pony's murmuring to one another and some nodding in agreement. "Call Miss Cheerilee," said Twilight, as a door from the right side of the room opens. Miss Cheerilee walks in and walks past Twilight to sit on the witness stand. She looks over to Jared and gives him a disgusted look. "I always knew he'd come to no good, your highness," said Miss Cheerilee, "if you let me have my way I could've taught him a lesson. The lessons and songs we taught him are stuck permanently in his mind as though he were a little child. Allow me to hammer him!" Miss Cheerilee's horn glowed, as a hammer pulled up from her side, but in the blink of an eye, the soldiers that were on Jared's sides came up to her and pointed spears. "No," said Celestia, as she slams the hammer, "you will not harm him! He must be alive through this whole trial." Cheerilee grunts and drops the hammer. She walks out of the witness stand and exits to the left side door. Celestia drops down her hammer and looks down at Twilight, who continues to stay in place. "Proceed," said Celestia. "Call in, Chrysalis," said Twilight, as the two soldiers from before walk back to Jared's side. Chrysalis enters from the same door Miss Cheerilee came through and walks up to the witness stand. She looks down at Jared and licks her lips. Jared blushed and looked away. "Speak," said Celestia to Chrysalis. Chrysalis looks back at Jared and gives him an angry look. Her upper hooves slam onto the stand, as she looks down at Jared with a snort. "You little shit," hissed Chrysalis, "I hope you get locked up forever in the dungeon." "What did I do?! Why am I on this trial?!" shouted Jared confused and outraged. "You should talk to me more often than you did, but no," said Chrysalis, continuing her rant and ignoring Jared's words, "You had to go your own way and look at the other pretty mares." Chrysalis looks up to Celestia and smirks. "Just five minutes, your highnesses," said Chrysalis, "him and me alone~" Celestia and Luna look disgusted and angry, making Chrysalis stay down and scared. Jared is very confused to why he's on trial and why is this happening now. Suddenly, a loud noise came from up above him and everypony in the courtroom, as Chrysalis runs away to the exit on the left. "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABE!" shouted the voice, as the figure slams down beside Twilight. Jared gasps, as he looked at the details of the figure. It was a woman in her fifties, wearing glasses, a mole on her cheek, and had slick black hair. "Mom?" said Jared, as the woman looks up to Jared and runs up to him. The guards on Jared's sides take a few steps back, as Jared's mother hugged him tightly. "Come to mother, baby," said Jared's mother, "let me hold you in my arms. Why did you have to leave me?" She looks up to Celestia and Luna, who look down at Jared's mother with concern. "Your highnesses," begged Jared's mother, as she clasped her hands, "let me take him home!" The sisters shake their heads, as the two guards walk up to her and push her away to the exit. "No! Jared! Don't leave me!" shouted Jared's mother, as she continued being pushed away. Jared stands up to get her mother, but was stopped by Twilight, who rushed up in front of him. "Please Twilight," begged Jared, "let me be with her!" Twilight shook her head, as she pushed him back to his seat. Jared looked over to his mother, as she was pushed into the exit door, along with the two soldiers. Jared placed his hands on his head and began to feel a bit crazy. What is the point of this dream? Why did this have to happen? Is there a meaning to this? He looks back up and sees a white wall of white bricks surrounds him. Jared jumps out his chair and pounds his hands against the wall. "Let me out! Let me out!" he shouted, as he continued to pound the wall. Suddenly, he hears the sounds of multiple booming stomps, making Jared jump and land on his bottom. He looks up and sees a large Luna looking down at him with anger in her eyes. "he evidence before thy court is incontrovertible," said Luna in her royal voice, as she looks down at Jared, "In all my years of judging, I have never experienced something like this! The way you made your friends and mother suffer fills me with urge to stomp thee!" "How am I making them suffer?!" asked Jared, "is it because I never talk to them?! Wait! Is it because I watch too much of your show?! Please tell me!!!" "I sentence you to be disposed before your peers!" shouted Luna, as she looks up towards what Jared believes to be the crowd. "Okay!" shouted Jared, as he falls to his knees, "I will watch less of the show and talk more to family and friends! Please! Let me go! I'll watch the show, but not as much as I usually watch! I promise!!!" "TEAR DOWN THE WALL!!!" shouted Luna, ignoring Jared's pleads. Everypony shouted what Luna has said, as Jared clasps his hands on his ears to not hear the noises. He wails in pain, as the voices pour into his mind, giving him flashbacks of his past before he discovered the show. The flashbacks were sweet and kind, as they showed him from a young age to suddenly him now being a twenty-one year old man who watches a show full of colorful ponies. "Stop," said Jared quietly. "TEAR DOWN THE WALL! TEAR DOWN THE WALL! TEAR DOWN THE WALL! TEAR DOWN THE WALL!" "Stop" "TEAR DOWN THE WALL! TEAR DOWN THE WALL! TEAR DOWN THE WALL! TEAR DOWN THE WALL!" "Stop!" "TEAR DOWN THE WALL! TEAR DOWN THE WALL! TEAR DOWN THE WALL! TEAR DOWN THE WALL!" "STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!!!" Jared's roar made the wall around him to crumble, as bits and pieces came falling down toward him, making him cover himself up. Jared wakes up gasping, as he leans up panting. He blocks the suns light coming down on him from his left, as his panting continued. As his panting died down, he wipes the sweat from his forehead and walks into his bathroom. He turns on the sink and washes his face, then looks up to himself in the mirror. He shuts off the water and grabs a towel to dry his face. He then leaves his room and walks down the hallway toward the kitchen and takes out a cup. He takes it up to the sink and fills it up. He takes in deep gulps and slams the cup down beside the sink and gives out a sigh. "What a dream," said Jared, as he looks out the window and sees two birds flying around one another, "and what a beautiful day. Oh! Today's-wait!" Jared thought back on the dream and just till now, he realizes what the dream taught him: his life is far more important than a TV show. Jared smiles and looks away from the TV and towards the clock, which said 8:32 AM. "You know what," said Jared, as he looks over to the phone, "I wonder what mother is up to?" He walks up to the house phone and picks it up. He dials in his mother's house number and holds it up to his ear as the phone dials. "Hello?" "Hey mom," said Jared, "it's me." "Jared?! My God, I feel like I haven't heard from you in years! What's going on?" "I was wondering, would you like to meet me for lunch?" "Where to?" "Applebees?" "Then it's settled. I have nothing going on, so I'll see you later." "Bye mom." "Bye," said Jared's mother before he hung up. Jared looks over to his iPhone, which he had left on the dinner table and sees a text from Jordan, a friend. Jared smiles and walks up to his iPhone. "Things are about to change," said Jared, as he grabs his iPhone and begins texting.
