No Hooves About It: We're Complete Screwups
*Liv’s POV*
“Guys, guess what! I found a portal!” My voice echoed through the narrowing hallway to my bedroom. I was so excited to tell my friends all about the portal I discovered. It had just- appeared there out of thin air. At first I figured it was a mirror, but then when I tried to touch it, my hand slipped through. Then something weird happened. When I looked at my hand, I was in total shock. Instead of a hand (with fingers) there was a hoof in it’s place. I gotta admit that I was a bit scared when this happened. I could practically feel my eyes popping out of my head. But then after a couple of moments I calmed down and actually begun to like the fact that my hand was now a hoof. I may have even figured out to where it led to. But don’t tell Izzy that. She would slap me silly if she figured out I knew an important detail about that portal. Don't worry about her, you'll get to meet her later. What was even weirder was when I took it out of the mirror/ portal thing. My hand was back to normal, somehow that part of myself melting into my white skin. It was the only way that I could describe the situation as ‘magic’.
Izzy and her group of friends were finally here, looking pretty bored in my personal opinion. Izzy was there with her usual frown ( I wish she would smile more), as well as Jazzy by her side, cracking jokes left to right that Izzy only seemed to understand. She was there with her natural black hair, while Izzy with her beautifully Irish red hair. She would smile every so often, that familiar dimple in the corner in her face. But then the smile would disappear faster than you could say ‘Rainbow Cupcakes’. I worried for her when she was like this, even though she told me not to worry. But I guess it’s just because I’m afraid that I will lose people that I treasure dearly. And I know what it is like to be alone. Trust me, I've been alone for most of my childhood. I think it is because I am "positively odd". I glance at Kenzie, who gives a small smile when she looks at me, but instantly fades away. She fingered a small pendant around her neck, clad with one of her darker colored shirts. Oh, I forgot to mention. The people I am friends with...sometimes tend to be dark individuals. Jazzy likes animes like Tokyo Ghoul and Black Butler (which I have gotten into a bit), Kenzie is amazingly fantastic, and Izzy is a ver avid gamer. Games like the Binding of Isaac and Undertale come to mind when I think of her. For numerous reasons, of course.
“Guys, we’re being rude. It’s obvious that Liv invited us over for a reason. Liv, what is it?” Izzy said, silencing the laughter of her friends. I glanced over to look at Izzy’s shirt over her black jacket. Heh. She’s wearing her Shmebulock T-Shirt. Ah, the Gravity Falls fandom. There are sometimes where I miss that fandom. The endless upon endless amounts of Bill x Reader Fanfictions. Those were the days. I should probably say something. C’mon, we rehearsed it just a minute ago!
“Um- yes. Thank you Izzy. Um, well. It’s kind of… hard to explain. Follow me.”
And so, they all awkwardly stood up and started walking. Of course, I found Kenzie and Jazzy locking arms skipping behind me. Izzy just peacefully walked behind everyone, keeping to herself. I got so nervous that I thought I might have lead them into the wrong room. But sooner or later I came face to face to the portal that I had been so ecstatic about just a few minutes ago. Suddenly everyone stopped glancing at each other and whispering, staring oddly at the portal. Obviously by now they had figured out that this wasn't one of my little games I like to play. “Liv, what is this?” Jazzy asked, messing with Kenzie’s hair while listening intently. Oh my goodness, I ship it. No! Not another ship! I won’t have it. I smiled politely, thinking of the best possible ways to tell them my discovery.
“Don’t worry guys! It’s just a portal!” I laughed innocently, rethinking what I said. Kenzie and Jazzy broke into immediate laughter, clapping at what they thought was a quote-on-quote “joke.” Izzy however, seemed so calm. This wasn’t like the Izzy I knew. She isn’t THIS depressing. She’d usually be hugging on her favorite stuffed animal, Chip… or something like that. Or, now that I think about it … she’d be hugging on Kenzie as well. EVERYONE GET OFF THE SHIP. ABORT. ABORT. Ehem… did I say that out loud? “Liv, nice one.” Kenzie says, on the brink of tears. I smiled a bit, staring at Izzy who was still acting strange. “Seriously. Izzy, put your hand on it.” I insisted, looking at her with the intent purpose to get her to do my will. I didn’t know if it would take even a musical number to motivate my stubborn but lovable friend. I had one song in mind that I would sing. Pinkie’s Brew *snicker*. Still a bit sceptical, Izzy took a deep breath, and hesitantly put her hand into the swirly pink vortex. Everyone else watched anxiously while I smiled through the pain. “Liv, there’s nothing wrong with thi-” she began to say, but then she looked down at it again. Her eyes grew wide with surprise and shock, and her lips moved, but nothing came out. Sure enough, her hand was now a hoof. A black hoof. Jazzy surprisingly stopped joking to stare at the portal in amazement. Kenzie was just…..there. I would have to say that she was paler then usual. Time to help. “Um, Izzy…..are you ok?” I managed to ask. She breathed in, looked me in the eye, and said: “What the **** is that?!?!?” Now was the time when chaos took over. “It’s gotta be a trick, right? You planned all of this, didn’t you?” she barked at me. “Um, no!!! I swear it had nothing to do with me, honestly!” I spread my arms open wide. That seemed to calm her down a little, thank heavens.
“Calm down Izzy. See? It’s ok.” I stuck my hand in there to prove it, but this time something different happened. The portal began to glow more brightly and intensely, shrouding the room in light. I tried to pull my arm out, but it was stuck there as if it were glue. “Is something wrong, Liv?” Izzy asked me. I began to go into my panic mode. “My arm, it’s stuck!” I cried out. I looked back to the portal, and upon further inspection, realized I was getting sucked into it. Oh well. I guess I should do that song number from "Friendship Is Witchcraft". Because...it fit the situation.
“Olivia, you’re getting pulled in!” yelled Izzy, and she began to grab my other hand, trying to pull me out. I opened my mouth, and began to chant/ sing:
I’ll cook up a solution with the knowledge I’ve accrued
They say ‘a kitchen time saves nine’ but I’m just saving two
I’ve gathered the ingredients to make some time sorbet
There’s hardly room for seconds when the seconds melt away!
“Liv, this isn’t the time for singing!” Kenzie hollered, who had joined Izzy in pulling me out. Izzy was also slowly getting sucked in. Jazzy just shrugged and held onto Kenzie as they continued to try to get me out. It was no use. So I continued the song.

I ended the song. The last thing I could remember was the look on Izzy’s face as I dissolved into nothingness. Pure terror. It brought both a smile and a frown at the same time as I faded into unconsciousness.
