Warm Welcoming
I Promise
Load Full StoryIt has been two years since Fluttershy's friend had left her, one year since she got over her depression, and six months since she could remember what he even looked like. She had almost completely forgot about him, but still a tiny part of her hoped he would return. But her hope was starting to drain.
She looked outside her window as she washed the food bowls. Setting them down and filling them with food for her animals. It was expected to rain for three days, so she had to go out for more supplies. As she began to get ready to leave, she heard a knocking at her door. She looked at the door for a few seconds before dismissing it as nothing. But then, she heard the knocking again. Putting, down the food bowl, she went to open the door. As she turned the knob to see who it was, she couldn't believe her eyes. Her was face frozen, her mind flooded with thoughts. She didn't know what to think, to be mad or happy, that the love of her life had finally come back.
Fluttershy soon snapped put of her hypnotic state and let him in. He looked different from when she last saw him. He had gotten slightly bigger and had a scar going across his face. As he walked in, the first thing he did was collapse on the couch. Letting out a sigh of relief as he finally managed to catch his breath. Fluttershy just went back to the kitchen, finishing up before she went to do her errands. She put water to boil and then went to greet him. She could tell he was exhausted, but she still demanded an explanation.
As she went to sit next to him, he looked at her, smiling. Fluttershy, however, was not. His smile quickly faded when he saw how mad she was. "Where have you been?" Fluttershy asked.
The changeling looked back at her, "Its complicated" he said.
Fluttershy looked at him with a smug face, "I have time."
The changeling took a deep sigh and sat up from his cozy position. He looked at her one final time and began to tell his story. "Well, I found the changlings again." He said. "Queen Chrysalis is still in charge. After seeing her, I begged her to let me come back. I was lucky she said yes. And honestly, it felt great to be accepted by my own kind once again. I saw all my old friends again after two years. We wrestled each other for a bit, and stayed up all night talking to each other. I told them about you, how beautiful and kind you were, they didn't believe it. I honestly don't blame them."
Fluttershy's anger faded away as a light smile started to come across her face. "Sounds like you had fun." She said.
The changeling looked back at her, with a serious face, "It was fun for a while." he said.
The kettle boiled. Fluttershy got up from the couch to make tea. The changling looked around the room. He got up from the couch and began to look at pictures of Fluttershy and her friends. He lifted up the frame to look at it closer at it, and noticed something else instead. Behind the picture, a note. Folded up, and hidden. He began to open it up, already being able to see the ink through the paper. As he finally unfolded it, he saw what it was; the goodbye note from when he left. He looked in the kitchen, being able to see Fluttershy almost done. He hid the note back where it was and sat back down on the couch waiting for Fluttershy to come back.
Fluttershy soon came back with a cup of tea. "Im sorry, but had I known you were coming, I would've made more." She said apologetically.
"It's fine." The changeling said. "Now like I was saying..." The changeling continued his story. "Everything was going great, until they told me about the trials and hardships the changeling kingdom faced. They told me, even though they were home, they still felt empty, hungry. They haven't had anything to feed on for a long time. And the recent hatchlings haven't been hatching properly. They feared extinction would soon come. And it wasn't until that one day, another exiled changeling, by the name of Thorax, returned with the so-called answer to solve our problems. He called upon all of us to listen to him. He said that deep down we aren't monsters, he said he made friends with not just ponies, but the Prince and Princess of the Crystal Kingdom Empire. He said that it wasn't to late to change who we were, and that if we could learn to love each other, we wouldn't need to attack kingdoms to get it. Deep down, I wanted to believe him, but... I don't know why I didn't."
Fluttershy looked at the changeling with a smile. "You know, you shouldn't give up hope." She said. "I know for a fact changelings can change. I mean, look at you."
The changeling looked back at her. "Well, that was a different story. I was alone, cold, and starving."
"And the other changelings aren't?" She asked.
"I don't know what is wrong with them." The changeling replied. "Queen Chrysalis knew that if many of the changelings took Thorax's side, she would be overthrown and no longer in power. So she called him out. She made him look like a fool, called him weak and worthless. From there I knew war was coming."
"So whats happening now?" Fluttershy asked curiously.
"The changeling kingdom is now divided into two factions. The believers, those who actually believe in change and follow Thorax's teachings; And he loyalists, those who stand beside Chrysalis and swear to protect her until death."
"Which side did you choose?" Fluttershy asked.
"I didn't choose a side." He said. "I didn't want to be a part a war where the only equalizer is death. I would rather go through hell and back than murder my own kind." He said seriously.
"Well, I can't say you made a wrong decision." She said. "I'm just glad you decided to come back here." Fluttershy paused as she realized the scar he had on his face. "Where did you get that scar?" She asked.
The changeling paused for a brief second, deciding wether he should tell her or not. "Uh, It was nothing. It was just wrong place, wrong time. I guess." He said stuttering. "But I'm here now, and thats all that matters."
The room fell silent. The two felt awkward, even though they've already been through this. "So uh..." Fluttershy looked at the changeling, "I see your speaking got better." She said.
"Yes, my friends helped me with that." The changeling replied.
"Uh... Look, I know you weren't given a name when you hatched, but if you were to choose a name of your own, what would you call yourself?" She asked him. The changeling looked at her with confusion. He didnt even know what he would call himself.
"Well, I dont know. I mean, I never thought too much about simply because I had always gotten used to being called by other things, but... I guess if I had to choose a name, I'd call myself Lucky."
"Why is that?"
"Because Im lucky to have someone like you." He said smilingly.
Fluttershy turned light red immediately. He caught her by surprise as she didn't expect him to come up with something so witty. She started to lean closer to him. Their eyes keeping contact with each other. Time felt as it had been slowing down. They could start to feel the passion flow through them again. As if the spark between them had been miraculously reignited. The two kept getting closer and closer until... He stopped. Pulled away from Fluttershy immediately as if she was a demon. Fluttershy couldn't tell what happened, And niether could Lucky. He got up from the couch and went to the window. Staring into the raging storm clouds. Fluttershy grew disturbed by the silence.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"As a pony, you know what love is right?" he asked, his breath fogging the glass.
"I mean, we've all been loved before, I would think so." She responded.
"So then how do you know that this feeling actually is love? How do you know we were meant for each other and we're not just being fools thinking that it was meant to be when it wasn't? How do you know that there isn't somepony else out there who was meant for YOU? How do you know if changelings can even love,or BE LOVED for that matter? After all, we may as well be the MOST HATED SPECIES IN ALL OF EQUESTRIA!"
Lucky turned around, breathing furiously, only to find Fluttershy shocked and scared on the couch. He quickly snapped out of his rage and was speechless. "Uh... I, uh... I-I'm sorry." He said looking remorse. "Look, if you don't want me, I'll just go." He walked past Fluttershy heading for the door, about to turn the knob when Fluttershy grabbed his leg. He turned to her big eyes staring up at him.
"No, its okay." She said, "I understand if you may be frustrated. But you really need to leave then at least stay the night."
Lucky smiled at the fact she really wanted to stay with him. He had no choice but to accept.
"Okay." He said.
----MIDNIGHT-----
Lucky tossed and turned in his sleep. Nightmares haunted him, tortured him, but they weren't just average nightmares, they were memories.
FLASHBACK
The forest was thick with bushes, trees and branches. Leaves covering the only starlight that made it possible to see. But that was also a good thing, because it made it easier to find any firelight. He had been searching for almost an hour, trying to find any sign of changelings. But so far nothing. However, that wasn't going to stop him from finding his kind. He decided to take a break on a log. He laid down and stared at the stars through an open patch of shrubbery. The moonlight replenishing his faith, and his perseverance. A few minutes later he was back to searching, and he didnt have to go far before he fianlly found... light. He started sprinting towards it, light getting brighter until he started to hear voices, familiar ones too. He peeked through the shrubbery to find, three of his closest fellow changelings. All sitting around a fire just... talking. He took a step closer to hear better, accidentally stepping on a twig, and alerting them.
"Who's there? What's there? Show yourself!"
The changeling had no choice but to show himself He slowly stepped out in to the firelight, showing himself to his fellow changelings.
"Runaway?" The female changeling asked. "Is that you?"
"I didn't run away..." The changeling said. "I left."
The female changeling looked back at the other two changelings, who were just as shocked as she was.
"Runaway? Ever since canterlot many of us got scattered and couldnt find our way back. Is that what happened to you?" The female changeling asked.
"No. I didn't try to find my way nor did want to. The only reason I'm here was because I had somewhat decent memories of you guys, and I just thought I'd drop by."
"Wait so you're not staying?" The female changeling asked. "You can't go! We need to tell everyone you came back!"
"NO!" The changeling yelled, "I'M NOT STAYING AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO CHANGE THAT!"
The female changeling laughed, "Oh come on, Runaway. You can't say there wasn't passion between us. You know there was. Back when we were younger." She said seductively, walking towards him until she was close enough to feel his breathing.
"That was then, and besides I have someone else in my life, someone who is twice the pony you are." The changeling said.
The female changeling laughed even more, as well as the other two behind her. "A pony, that will be the day! Ponies hate us!" She said putting a hoof on his chest.
"You know what? I knew I shouldn't have come here." He said, turning to the way he came.
"No, No, No, No, Wait!" She said holding him, "Hammerhead, Stinger, Give us some privacy?"
"Sure thing." Said Stinger getting up from the fire.
"Later, Runaway." Hammerhead said following Stinger.
"They have names?" The changeling asked.
"It's just an us thing." She responded.
"Oh really, then what's yours?"
"Petal." She said.
"Petal?"
"Like a rose, sharp, yet beautiful." She said smugly. But that smile soon faded as she began to open up to him. "Look, that me you just saw, it wasn't the real me, Its just who Im forced to be, to fit in. And I know that's not the real you. I've seen the real you. You're not like any other changeling here. Please don't try to be."
The changeling was speechless at her words. "Uh, well, If you felt this way, why didn't you leave too?"
"Because I was waiting for you to come back. See, the thing is, I still have passion for you. And I'd rather stay in this hell the live a happy life without you, And now that you're here, I never want to lose you again. Please, I know you don't like it here, But don't leave me." She said, clinging onto him.
The changeling didn't know what to think, he began to feel bad finding out she still had feelings, and just leaving her for another. His loyalties were conflicted and his conscience was screaming at him, but he finally made up his mind. He looked into her green tearful eyes and said, "Don't worry. I won't leave you."
"Promise?" She asked with a soft voice.
He hesitated, feeling like he was making a bad decision, but also a good one. "I promise."
She lifted her head up and lunged towards his lips. Giving him a long passionate kiss. The changeling refused the urge to fight back the kiss and decided to just let it happen. It went on for five whole minutes before the two of them broke apart.
"If you were to name yourself whatever you wanted, what would it be?" She asked staring up at him.
"I dont know." The changeling replied.
"Well I know what I'd call you... Lucky."
"Lucky? Why is that?"
"Because you're lucky to have someone like me."
FLASHBACK ENDS
Lucky woke up in an instant, panting heavily, but then realizing that he was safe in Fluttershy's couch. He let out a sigh of relief as his nightmare was finally over. He was about to go back to sleep, when he heard hoofsteps coming down the stairs.
"Hey, are you ok? I could hear the mumbling from upstairs." She said.
"Yes, I'm fine. It was just a nightmare." Lucky replied.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" She said as she sat down on the couch.
"I'd rather not." The both of them felt awkward being next to each other.
"What was all that, earlier today?" Fluttershy asked.
"It was nothing."
"Stop saying that! I hate it when you say that! Why cant you just tell me what happened?" Fluttershy said whispering loudly, trying not to wake the animals.
"Because I don't want you to worry." he replied.
"Well it only makes me more worried."
Lucky took a deep breath, telling Fluttershy about what happened.
"When I got to the changeling kingdom, Queen Chrysalis wanted to make sure that I never went soft, so she tried to brainwash me, feed me these false images, and for a second, it got to me. You dont understand the mental torture I'm going through right now. I can't tell what's what anymore. You've got to help me." He said beginning to break into tears. He was starting to lose his mind.
"Oh my gosh, I didn't know that was happening to you, I'm sorry."
"Fluttershy, do you really think this is love?" Lucky asked.
"No, I know this is love." She pressed her mouth against his. Fluttershy holding him tight. Both their eyes closed, savoring the moment, their tongues began playing around in each others' mouths. Hooves wrapped around each other, Lucky especially, holding tight like never before. He could feel Fluttershy moaning lightly, knowing that she was enjoying it. He tried to lay her down, get on top of her, but it wasn't until then when she broke the kiss.
"Uh... Are you sure you want to do this here? In front of the animals?" She said blushingly.
Luck looked around the room, "Well they are asleep." Lucky said also blushing of embarrassment. "But you're right." They both got up from the couch and headed upstairs. Where things would be a little more private.
"So..." Fluttershy said with a light smirk, "Do you still remember how to do this?"
Lucky turned bright red, "Its definitely been a while, I'm sure I can handle." He said laying beside Fluttershy on the bed. His heart beating fast, getting ready to make love to her sweet body once more. Fluttershy stared into his eyes, like she could see his soul, both of them surrounded by each others' passion. Lucky could feel his shaft starting to make its' presence. Fluttershy giggled at his nervous reaction. Fluttershy began to stroke it with her hoof, Lucky's leg twitching at the sensation he was receiving. She moved closer to him, touching bodies, giving him another deep long kiss. Lucky seized this opportunity to roll Fluttershy underneath him, as he began to position himself. She was breathing heavily, getting ready for his next move. Lucky paused for a brief second, hesitating his next move. He looked at Fluttershy nervously.
"Uh, should I?" He asked.
"Do it." She said, holding him tightly.
He began to insert himself inside her. A small moan escaped from Fluttershy's mouth, biting her lip to try to stop it. Once he fully inserted himself, he then began to slowly thrust. Fluttershy was panting with each thrust.
"I haven't had this sensation ever since you left." Fluttershy said. "I never want it to end." She grasped him tighter, pulled him closer. Lucky began to pick up his pace, thrusting faster and harder. Fluttershy could no longer hold in her moans, but Lucky pressed his mouth to hers, making her moans faint still. He used his hooves to feel the side of her body. He could feel himself getting closer to the edge. Fluttershy tightening her legs around his body, the changeling panting like a dog. His tongue out, his eyes shut and sweat dripping down his body. He heard Fluttershy moans grow louder, then stopped. He stopped thrusting. A silent whimper indicated that she had just came, and that he would be next. He began thrusting slower again. Building up speed every few seconds. Soon he was back at normal speed, and then he felt it. He pulled out immediately before he blew, and finished on Fluttershy's perfect figure. She grabbed lucky and held him in a tight hug, whispering in his ear, "Don't leave me. Please Don't."
Lucky held on to her and said, "Dont worry, I won't."
-----THE NEXT DAY-----
Fluttershy woke up to an emtpty bed. Right off the bat she thought he left her a second time. But she smelled something... something good. She went blissfully down the stairs, whistling a tune and smiling. She turned to the kitchen and found... A prepared meal sitting on the table with no one there who could've made it. Fluttershy's mood quickly turned to sad. She couldn't believe it, she refused to believe it. The changeling who had come back for her after all this time, just vanishes again? She didn't know what to think, but she didn't even get the chance to... someone was at the door. She opened the door to two male ponies standing outside her door. She didnt know who he was or what he wanted.
"Yes?" Fluttershy asked.
"Are you the pony known as Fluttershy?" The male pony asked.
"Yes, I am."
"And you are the homeowner of this place correct?"
"Yes. Can I help you?" She asked kindly.
Before Fluttershy could say anything else. She was gagged, blindfolded. She couldn't see, she couldn't scream. All she could do was stay silent as she expierienced horror. She could feel herself being carried away, and the two male ponies talking to each other, laughing.
"Good job, Stinger." he said.
"Thanks, Hammerhead."
Meanwhile, Lucky came out of the bathroom, about to surprise Fluttershy with breakfast in bed, and not just the food he made in the kitchen. He ran downstairs to grab the plate and back upstairs to the bedroom. He opened the door slowly to not wake her up, until he saw that she was gone. He didn't know where she went, why she went. He then froze as realized, be was in such a rush he didn't even notcie the front door was wide open. He ran back down the stairs and outside to try and find her, shouting her name as loud as he could but she was nowhere. He started to get worried, fearing something may have happened, when he noticed hoofprints on the ground which led straight into the forest...
