Winter Whistle, Ponyville Medical Center //-------------------------------------------------------// Muffin //-------------------------------------------------------// Muffin Ditzy had read the note for the twentieth time, still not able to absorb what it said. Then she read it once more and her heart dropped like an anchor. She shook her head and threw the  paper to the ground as hot tears drizzled down her face. She fell to the floor burying her head in the purple carpet letting out a frustrated scream as a knife plunged deeper into her broken heart. Ditzy lifted face from the floor and brushed purple fuzz from her wings. She let our a deep shaky breath and climbed onto the sitting chair in the living room. Her entire body was shaking with grief. Ditzy sat alone for what felt like hours continuously wiping tears and having short panics attack before a hesitant knock echoed from the front door. Ditzy slowly tried to regain herself. For a moment, Ditzy contemplated not answering, because she knew they couldn't help. Whoever they were, they could not fix this broken mare. "Hello Ditzy." The alicorn said. Twilight's hair was pulled back in a loose pony tail, her long bangs swept over her eyes. Her deeply saddened eyes. A gloomy smile left hanging on her face like a lavender abstract of depression. "Princess." That was all Ditzy could get out before a lump caught in her throat . The two ponies stood silently for a while before Twilight let out a deep exhausted breath. "May I come in?" The only thing Ditzy could do was nod. She couldn't even attempt a smile without falling apart. Twilight quickly walked past Ditzy and uneasily sat herself on the couch. A princess sitting on her very couch. If she hadn't been in such a depressed state, Ditzy would have been so ecstatic, but shesimply rested herself on the couch adjacent to Twilight. They sat quietly, Twilight tried to avoid eye contact, which was practically an effortless task since all Ditzy did was stare at the floor. She was deeply lost in thoughts and painful memories.
