After say good bye to mother and giving her a goodbye kiss on the cheek, I proceeded west towards, where I would find the beginning of a new journey, I also started to remember breathing water spells just in case. i light up my horn and teleported near to where i was told to go.

As I proceeded along the various halls and tunnels that connected up the different parts of the hive on the other side of the country, one thing struck me as odd, I was moving a lot faster than normal and I hardly seen anyone, not one attended or worker or even a soldier, I could only think that mother had of started to evacuation of this part as a precaution, but it was the unearthly silence that got me, it was quite obvious to me that it was done in an orderly and calm manner judging how anything needed was taking, and how their was no debri.

As I was rounding a corner I was greeted by a cold blast of air, and I froze in place. I was about to leave the hive, and I had to stop myself from running around like a little grub about to be given a sweet root for the second time. OK I thought to myself take a breath and then started to walk towards the entrance and to my new life.

As I left the hive I noticed that the air was cold and smelled weird, it was salty and flowery. I glanced to my right only to be greeted by trees to my left the biggest body of water I had ever seen, then a gust of wind came from that direction and it did not take long to see or rather taste where the salt had originally came from, that's when I really notice the sky it was so beautiful I could feel the words of a song as I held my breath, stolen no doubt by the twinkling of the stars and by the bright moon, something Luna must see on a nightly bases.

Directly behind the surface exit/entrance came a few familiar voices, I walked forwards and went behind the arching mound beside the trees. once i was at the top my eyes were greeted with a view of Frost melting some sort ore with his magic, as another changeling was using her magic to shape logs into pallet's, every now and then a couple of changelings would appear either with fallen trees or with packs full of different ores and a few gems.

"No,no,no" Frost cried out, with all of his attention on his work he did not notice me approaching "dsrgh this is stupid the ore needs to be processed and refined, dsrgh this is going to take ages" as I approached Frost, a twig hidden from my view shaped under my front gave a loud (SNAP!) He instantly turned round without hesitation, judging by his stance he was ready for a fight, to his surprise I stood their instead blinking at him in confusion, which even a pony could plainly see upon my faces.

"Sorry Frost I did not mean to distract you from your work, is their anything I can do to help?" I asked as apologetic as possible, after all he was in charge of building a boat for me, and the last thing I needed was a slow leak in the boat. He regained his composer and sat on his hind legs, he moved his left hoof across his chest as he inhaled and out stretched his left hoof letting out a long breath as he did so. "It's fine Paul, I just hate being outside as this is just wrong"

I could feel the fear rising inside of him as he continued, "no I am not thinking about that!" He began his breathing again before continuing "if you want to help go and see Kack-tar, he was over their before" he pointed his hoof towards the tree line, where the others were going back and forth with the various materials, I both voiced my thanks and chirp it as well to reassure him that I meant it as his breathing returned to normal, i think it was the sky and the wide open space that he did not like.

I then proceeded towards where Kack-tar should've been but it was weird, I could only feel the builder cast presents, which was unnerving. As this felt like an empty void or more precisely nothing, no animals no ground no life which I could clearly see as a white moth flue past me, the only thing that could do this would be a dampening invisibility field which itself was small, and in a confined area, I thought it weird as the main area was untouched by it, so anything could clearly see the construction and the other changelings.

In this abnormal field I heard a branch rub against something! I instinctively flared a disable spell as a blur came towards me as far as I could tell, I unleashed my spell and stepped out of the way keeping my vision on the blur which landed behind a bush which then started to moan and groan.

then came a muffled murmur which sounded like someone saying why me through clenched teeth. I peered through the bush to see a stunned enclave soldier, "I am so sorry" i said as I undid my spell "I did not know who it was, I just saw a blur and reacted, I did not mean to.... Erm, do you need a hoof up or something" I finished saying with a sheepish grin on my face while rubbing the back of my head with my right hoof.

"Ooor my head!" he continues to groan, as he gets up to his hoofs then promptly shook his head "why you little....... So it's you, how could you move like that? I was at top speed and you dodged me...how in the world did you.." i interrupted him with "Know about your attack?" I asked sincerely, he just nodes in response. "Well that spell that's around you, gave me a hint that something was up but what alerted me was the fact that there's no wind, so when you brushed past that branch you might as well of rang a gong or a bell" I said as nicely as possible.

"Well my name is Napro I take it you're looking for Kack-tar?" "Yes I was, but now I am wondering why you attacked or tried to attack me I should say" I said with a hint of disdain in my voice as I did not appreciate nearly being pounded into the ground.

"Well I have not seen him since we got our orders which were. 1# defend building cast and the hive. #2 keep a low profile and ..." "And what part of your orders said attack others from our hive private!" Boomed a voice from behind me, Napro sprang over me and the bush in a single browned, I turned in time to see him land standing to attention. "Erm well..erm I.…i" he stammered, as a larger older onclave changeling seemed to tower over him with ease, his armor was much thicker than my own newer one, but it looked like it had taking quite the beating over the years by fighting battles as well as by time, you could see wear something like an axe or sword had taken a v cut out of his armor in places, especially the shoulders where it appeared in places like somebody wanted his head, and most likely did as the onclave thought in the worst battles and wars, just by looking ya can tell he had probably seen all if not than more than most.

"Were you orders to secure the area and watch for hostiles or goof off! Because that is what it looks like you were doing! What happens if we cock up PRIVATE!?" He bellowed at the now shivering slightly Napro "lives are lost sir" he stammered as the shock of realization spread across his face, from what I could tell by the reflection on the face from the changeling in front of us, "Get back to your post GRUB!" Napro instantly shot back to his post, the wave and mix of emotions coming from him more than let me know that he was sorry and that he meant no harm, and a promise to do better for all.

"So you're the one, that has a special assignment, you don't look like much" he said in a dry monotone tone, Sounding more skeptically to me, so with a green flame I returned back to my new form, I found myself looking at him at eye level, obviously I my have to change my sizes, I thought to myself before commenting "I am on a diplomatic mission and I thought this might seem more aggressive inserted of, I am here to talk, and mother has agreed to this" I erupted in green flame, but I remained the same height, "I am able to change my size so hopefully I will be a Nice's standard height as well if I may sir" I said trying not to sound like I was mocking him. After saying my peace I light up again in green flames as I returned back to my previous normal height. "Well that means you have brains and brawn I hope they serve you well sir, he gave a little salute,
