Well this is embarrassing
Rarity was walking through Canterlot being stared at by the high nobles for what she did. She didn't know why she wanted to go to Canterlot. Wasnt really the best idea to be in the spotlight but she had shopping to do. As she picked out dress material in a store she saw a blue mane outside but didn't think nothing of it. As she paid for the material while avoiding eye contact with ponies she ran out and then continued walking.
All of a sudden she bumped into a pony. She lifted her hat and her heart jumped in her throat. She stared at Luna. Luna blinked and turned around to see her. Silence over came them as Luna looked at the mare who killed her sister.
"Rarity is it?" Luna respectively asked. Rarity blushed and gulped.
"Uh...yeah...I was...just...stop-stopping...b-bye." Rarity struggled to say as she was in the presence of Celestia's sister. Rarity waited for hatred against her. What would Luna do? It was already declared that it was a requested killing. Then to her suprise Luna smiled. It confused Rarity.
"Mind if I walk with you?" Luna asked. Rarity was stunned and almost fainted. Luna wants to walk with her?
"I guess." Rarity nervously replied. As they started to walk past the stores Luna spoke.
"How's your day?" Luna asked. Rarity was thrown off. Why would Luna care about a mare that killed her big sister.
"It's not that great." Rarity said trying to speak. Rarity quickly averted her eyes. She wanted to go home now as she burned with embarresment.
"Mine could be better." Luna sadly said but quickly changed. Rarity couldent take it any more. They both stopped at a table to sit down. Rarity stared at the ground.
"Rarity what's wrong?" Luna asked. Rarity was thrown off guard. Why would Luna care?! Rarity struggled to speak. Tears leaked from her eyes.
"I'm...sorry...a...about...every...thing....I....I'm sorry...for killing your....sister. Rarity sobbed. Raritys lip trembled. She couldent beilieve she was in this situation right now. She felt awful. Luna got up from the table. And to Raritys suprise Luna hugged her tightly.
"You don't have to apologize. She asked you." Luna said her voice breaking. Rarity sobbed and held her tightly.
"Please don't hate me!" Rarity cried. Luna hushed her softly.
"I don't hate you. I don't blame you either no matter how much I love her. She was my big sister and you killed her but I understand. I miss her so much Rarity but don't think for a second that it's your fault. It's not Celestia's fault either even though she asked you. And you just did what you were ordered to do." Luna said tears filling her eyes.
They stayed there as ponies watched the scene with shocked expressions. Ponies couldent believe their eyes as they saw Luna hugging Celestia's assassin even though they knew Rarity wasn't at fault. Rarity calmed down and followed Luna to the royal palace. The guards saw Luna and acknowledged Rarity. They didn't suspect Rarity as a traitor anymore ever since the decree of Raritys innocence spread around Equestria so they just stood in Royal position like usual but they did glance at Rarity. Rarity gulped.
"They aren't going to arrest you Rarity it's fine." Luna said assuring her. As they walked into the castle Luna sat down. Rarity wondered if she was allowed to sit down. She just stood awkwardly. Then Luna spoke.
"Have a seat." Luna told her. She sat and Luna poured her some tea. Celestia's sister was pouring her tea. She repeated that fact in her mind to see if she wasn't imaging things. Why was she being so hospitalible? She then remembered what Luna said so she tried to act natural. They say in silence for a few minutes.
"How am I known around her?" Rarity asked curiously. Luna understood what she was getting at and answered her.
"You are known as the bearer of the element of generosity and as the assassin of Celestia." Luna answered calmly. Rarity let it sink in and spoke again.
"Am I hated?" Rarity asked. Luna laughed.
"Not anymore. There are a few ponies that do hate you but just a few. Most ponies now acknowledged why you did it. Your fine around here. The Royal guards don't hate you and in fact would protect you and search for you since you are an element bearer and are responsible for the death of Celestia. Your famous Rarity!" Luna exclaimed as she sipped her tea.
"What am I also famous for?" Rarity asked gulping. Luna looked at her.
"For the death of Celestia." Luna said with a calm expression.
"Oh gee thanks" Rarity sighed. Luna smiled.
"Don't worry Rarity your fine to come to Canterlot anytime you want. And if ponies here are making you feel uncomfortable I will look into it." She said. Luna contined to sip her tea.
"Thanks Luna." She said. Luna smiled at her.
"Your welcome Rarity. Your welcome into any facility her you want. You have a pretty infamous status here." Luna told her.
"Why am I allowed? Rarity asked.
"Your allowed because you have a known status of carrying out Celestia's request and your also an element bearer. You have an infamous status here. I had an infamous status for being Nightmare Moon. And I'll tell you something. Ponies looked at me suspiciously for a few months after I was freed from my entrapment. And now ponies don't care, The same will happen for you but it will probably take longer but don't worry." Luna told her smiling.
"Thanks Luna." Rarity said. Rarity then got a sad expression as she remembered being close to Celestia.
"I miss Princess Celestia." Rarity said her eyes filling her tears. Luna got up and wiped them away.
"It's okay Rarity I understand. I loved her so much just as you did. We can still keep her memory alive as well by talking about her and telling stories about her." Luna said. Rarity nodded smiling through her tears as she wiped them away.
"Do Cadence and Shining Armour like me?" Rarity asked. Luna smiled and spoke.
"Yes they understand why you did it and that you were asked. It's okay." She said. They both hugged.
"Thanks for the tea Luna." Rarity said smiling. Luna and Rarity broke from the hug and looked at eachother smiling.
"Your welcome. Your welcome to hang out with me whenever you want as you are close to the royal family." Luna said. Rarity nodded glad that the Royal family still respected her. Rarity and Luna both parted as Rarity walked back to her Boutique and Luna walked back to the royal palace as Rarity was happy that she wasn't hated anymore and Luna was happy to reconcile with Rarity and reassure her that she understood Celestia requested Rarity to kill her and Rarity agreed.
