“And so, once the magical destabilization of the portal is fixed using the energy you syphoned with the device, the nature of your transformation should be restored to normal.” Twilight finished her explanation and clasped her hands in front of her chest, looking at Sunset and Rainbow with a happy smile. The three were sitting around the Wonderbolts statue in the late afternoon.
Sunset thought for a moment and then nodded. “Makes sense.”
“It does?” Rainbow groaned, slapping her forehead.
Twilight’s smile turned into a confused frown. “Should I go over Stephen Hockings’ theory of trans-dimensional teleportation again?”
“I doubt that’ll help.” Sunset rolled her eyes and looked at Rainbow. “She was just explaining why the two different kinds of magic – the magic from her Element of Harmony, and the magic from the portal – induced subtly different transformations. We just have to suck the portal magic I absorbed back out of me and put it back.”
“See, that’s a lot simpler than the ten minutes of talking she just did.”
“I was not talking for ten minutes!” Twilight huffed and stood up to walk around. “But, yes, that is what I meant. There are just two key critical components we need.”
“What’s that?” Sunset asked.
“Well, obviously we need the magical absorption device Twi—" Twilight stopped and scrunched her nose. “The other Twilight built. I know a couple hypothetical ways to draw the magic back out of you, but it would be safest to work off of the same structure that caused it.”
“Right. And second?”
Twilight sighed. “That’s sort of the same problem but also a bigger one. This is all theoretical, I don’t know much about the actual practice of dimensional teleportation or this transformational magic we use. It’s possible I’m wrong about all of this and that it won’t do a thing. We need to verify my hypothesis.”
Sunset raised an eyebrow. “How do we do that?”
Twilight gave a sheepish smile. “Well… you’re not the only person who was affected by the portal magic this way.”
Sunset’s eyes widened. “No.”
“It’s the only way to be sure. We have to know if this is a universal affect.”
“You do it.”
“I’m not going to do it!”
“Who’s doing what?” Rainbow asked.
Sunset slumped and hung her head.
“We need to find out if the human Twilight has a dick too.”
Sunset tapped her fingers on her arms as she leaned against the wall next to the classroom door, arms crossed and eyes narrow. I can’t believe I’m actually doing this. She looked at the clock on the ceiling, then at her phone. One minute. Just ask, be direct, and get it over with. We are both mature, reasonable young adults. There is no reason this has to be awkward. Sunset sighed. Unless of course she answers “no” and then starts asking questions.
Sunset had made up her mind about her new appendage. Once she got used to a couple of relatively minor lifestyle changes including wardrobe and personal hygiene, it wasn’t so bad. She had a better insight into the male mind concerning sexuality, and a better understanding of sexual dynamics between the genders as a whole. Her sex life was positively amazing. Still, if the human Twilight had been afflicted in the same manner as her, Sunset owed it to her to find out and help her solve it. Poor thing is probably nervous as hell and confused.
The bell to end class rang, and Sunset looked at the door. A few seconds later it opened and students filed out. A couple gave Sunset a wave or a greeting that she returned. With no sign of Twilight, she peaked her head in the door. She saw the girl in question and what she was doing, and stifled a snicker.
“Also, I was thinking for next week’s lesson we can move beyond compound equations to something more advanced.” Twilight was rifling through her notebook and holding out a stack of notes to Mr. Cranky, who regarded her with a look of dull irritation from behind his desk. “I know that lambda calculus isn’t in the school curriculum, but I really think that it could do wonders to improve our chances in pursuing a post-secondary education.”
“Twilight, why don’t you talk to the principal about this?” Cranky muttered.
“I did. Well, sort of. I mentioned it to Vice-Principal Luna and explained what lambda calculus is and its relevance to our studies. She seemed a bit tired, or maybe she had a headache, because she seemed to have trouble paying attention, but she ultimately said the decision was yours.”
“Yo, Sci-Twi!” Sunset waved from the door.
Twilight perked up at the mention of the nickname the group has assigned her and turned. “Oh, Sunset! You know all about lambda calculus, don’t you?”
Sunset strode into the room, ignoring Cranky’s subtle look of gratitude at her intervention. “Yup, exactly what I want you for. C’mere, we’re gonna talk about calculus.”
Twilight grinned. “Applejack said I was crazy but I knew someone else in this school would appre-whoa!” Sunset grabbed Twilight’s arm and pulled her out of the room, her notes to Cranky being dropped on the floor behind her. “Sunset, wait!” Twilight struggled to zip up her backpack hanging off her shoulder with one hand as Sunset marched down the halls to the music room. She pushed open the door and gestured her head.
“Go.”
Twilight pushed her glasses up her nose and walked into the room. “What’s going on? Are you angry?”
“No, just really not looking forward to this.” Sunset closed the door and locked it. She walked to the other side of the room and took a breath. Now or never. She looked at Twilight and blurted it out. “Do you have a penis?”
Sunset waited and watched. Twilight cocked her head and stared for a moment. Then her eyes lit up. “My hypothesis was right! I’ve been wanting to ask you for weeks but wasn’t sure how to broach the subject!”
Sunset’s jaw dropped. “Huh?”
Twilight dug a notepad and pen out of her bag and sat down at a desk. “We should compare notes. It happened after the Friendship Games, right? Probably a result about the transformational magic we manifested. I was wondering why none of your friends reported this when you guys told me you’ve transformed before, but I would wager the different nature of the magic is to blame, based on the stories.”
Sunset held up her hands. “Wait, wait. Huh?”
Twilight paused. “I’m sorry, I thought we were going to discuss our mutual acquisition of male genitals?”
“How the hell do you know I have a dick?” Sunset gaped.
“Isn’t it obvious?” Twilight shrugged. “I manifested mine after the Friendship Games, where I underwent the same type of transformation as you. Furthermore, your question is one rooted in a pre-existing presumption – you believe I possess a penis and are obviously only asking to confirm it. The logical conclusion is that you have one as well and want to confirm it is a mutual experience.”
Sunset groaned. “You are such an egghead.”
“That insult never made sense to me. Eggs have nothing to do with intelligence on any level. Though the fact it was coined by anti-intellectuals has made me accept that dissecting its meaning on a rational level is perhaps counter-intuitive.”
Sunset rubbed her forehead. “So, yeah, you have a penis?”
“Yes.” Twilight tapped her pen on her notepad. “Does yours also possess proper erectile function coupled with infertility?”
“Yeah, I—" Sunset paled as a horrifying thought came to her. “Wait… how do you know yours has that?”
Twilight blinked. “I conducted proper scientific control tests, of course. I believe the cause is related to our own female genetic material lacking the Y-chromosome necessary to produce fertile sperm, as my observations line up well with established genetic defects in infertile men related to improperly functioning chromosomes.”
“Do I even want to know how the hell you figured that out?”
“Observations of samples using a microscope, combined with some basic chemical and genetic tests. Simple scientific method of testing.”
Sunset rolled her eyes. “You sound like you’re some sort of asexual robot.”
“Well, you’re half-right.” Twilight shook her head. “Robot, no, asexual, yes.”
Sunset did a double take. “Really?”
“Sexual procreation is not something I’ve yet taken the time to factor into my plans for my future career pursuits, and I doubt that will change. Beyond that, the human body reacts to physical stimuli well enough that mental stimuli is not necessary to achieve climax. The physical sensations are satisfying, but a partner is not necessary to achieve them.”
“So what the heck do you even think of when you masturbate?”
Twilight thought for a moment, and shrugged. “Mostly I think about what I’m going to do when I’m done. Usually studying.”
“So you get off thinking about science. Of course you would.” Sunset groaned. “I cannot believe we’re having this conversation.”
Twilight tilted her head. “You seem very hesitant to discuss this for someone who brought it up in the first place.”
“Somehow my imagined conversation did not involve me finding out what you think about when you play with yourself.”
“We’re both mature, reasonable young adults. I see no reason to be awkward about discussing such things.”
“Sure.” Sunset took a breath. “Cutting to the chase. Do you still have that magic device you used at the Friendship Games?”
Twilight frowned slightly. “Yes, in storage. Why?”
“Twilight. Er, the Twilight from Equestria, I mean. She thinks this is linked to the portal magic and can use your device to syphon the magic from us to get rid of them.”
Twilight nodded. “That makes sense. And my scientific curiosity has been exhausted enough.”
“You want to get rid of it?”
“It would make wearing skirts less discomforting.”
Sunset had an unwelcome mental image and pushed it away. “Right.” She looked at the clock. The talk had taken longer than she had expected, and she was late for her next class. “Meet up with us at lunch tomorrow, I’ll tell her to be there.”
“Excellent. That’ll give me one last night to collect a few more samples for future study.”
“Twilight, stop talking.”
Sunset looked around the cafeteria as she nervously chewed her sandwich. There was still no sign of the human Twilight. She’ll show up. She said she wants it gone. Sunset’s eyes fell on Princess Twilight sitting next to her. Also need to tell her.
Even if Twilight could potentially take it away, Sunset hadn’t told her about her decision to keep it yet. Rainbow knew, and rather predictably had been supportive. All that was left to do was be honest with Twilight about it. And she wasn’t the only one. I have to be fair. I can’t keep this secret forever. Going around the groups’ back to conceal her relationship with Rainbow Dash went hand-in-hand with her keeping her penis secret too, but she planned on keeping both for the long-term and it was only going to create problems the longer she tried to avoid being open about it. “Hey, Sci-Twi!” Sunset lifted her head at Pinkie’s voice as she greeted the newcomer.
Sci-Twi sat down at the empty spot at the end of the table opposite Princess Twilight, and nodded at her. “Hello, other me.”
Princess Twilight smiled. “Hi, other me.”
Sci-Twi looked at Sunset for a moment, then back at Princess Twilight. “Sunset tells me you needed my magic absorption device to examine the feasibility of removing her new genitalia?”
The other seven girls seated at the table instantly froze.
Sunset’s eyes went wide as she saw the others stop in the middle of eating. Rarity and Applejack looked stunned, Fluttershy confused, and Pinkie looked oddly blank-faced. Sunset turned her eyes to see Rainbow staring at Sci-Twi slack-jawed.
Suddenly, Pinkie snorted and giggled. “Well, that’s a good one! When did you get a sense of humor like that?”
Sci-Twi frowned. “Humor? I just mentioned the experiment Twilight wants to try involving our penises.”
Sunset distantly noted she had the peace of mind to gently push her tray forward before she let her head fall and hit the table.
“Uh, Sci-Twi?” Rainbow Dash slumped forward, cupping her head in her hands. “That was supposed to be a secret.”
“Oh.” Sci-Twi paled. “Ooooooh.”
“Sunset?” Sunset turned her head up to see Applejack looking down at her. “Somethin’ ya wanna tell us?”
Sunset groaned and put her head back down.
Princess Twilight cleared her throat, drawing their attention. “Perhaps I should explain. When Sunset and Twi – er, the other me – absorbed the magic of the portal to transform during the Friendship Games, it manifested a different way than usual, since it’s a different type of magic. And it has had some lasting after-effects that have affected the two of them… physically.”
Rarity held up a finger. “Do you mean to tell me that the two of you have…”
“A shlong.” Rainbow nodded. “Pretty nice one, too.” Sunset’s head snapped up to glare. “Hey, secret’s out, why beat around the bush?”
“You’re joking, right?” Applejack shook her head. “Come on, tell the truth.”
“It’s not a joke.” Sunset spoke at last and sat up. “Yes, I have a penis now. So does our world’s Twilight.”
“Hang on a second!” Pinkie tapped her chin. “So you have a bun and a hotdog now?”
“…Sure, let’s put it like that.”
“S-Sunset?” Sunset turned to Fluttershy. “Why didn’t you tell us?”
Sunset hesitated. “Well, you know… that isn’t the sort of thing that’s easy to bring up. It’s more than a little weird?”
“Weird?” Pinkie shook her head vigorously. “I think it’s cool!” The others simply stared. “What? Now Sunset gets the best of both worlds! Wait, do you get people pregnant if you use it?”
“No.”
“Yup, best of both worlds no drawbacks!” Pinkie gave Sunset a leer. “You are gonna make some little lesbian girl very happy someday. Or a dude, maybe, if he’s bi.”
Sunset chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of her neck. “Yeah, about that… See, there’s something else I wanted to tell you guys about.”
“You’re shackin’ up with Rainbow Dash?” Applejack asked. Sunset’s jaw dropped, and Applejack shrugged. “Not that hard to figur’ out, really. You two are always hangin’ out, more than usual these days.”
“Not to mention all those looks you two kept giving each other when you thought we weren’t looking,” Rarity added.
Fluttershy smiled. “And the way you two seem to be getting along really well.”
“And the obvious ‘I’m getting laid regularly’ look the two of you have all the time.” The others looked at Pinkie. “What? I’m not the only one who picked up on it, am I?”
“Well, yeah, we are.” Rainbow grinned. “Started out mostly for sex, but yeah, we're girlfriends now.”
Sunset nodded. “We weren’t sure if we should tell you guys. I know this is a big shake-up to the friendship circle.”
“Don’t be ridiculous.” Rarity waved her hand in the air. “I for one could not be happier that two of my friends have found love in each other.”
“Love?” Rainbow and Sunset exclaimed at the same time. Sunset made a face. “I don’t know if I’d go that far. We’re just friends who like to hang out a lot.”
“And have sex,” Rainbow said. “The sex is awesome.”
“Steady long-term relationships have been built on less,” Rarity replied. “Besides, if I’m to be honest we all agreed that if any of us hooked up with another, it would be you two.”
“Really?” Sunset tilted her head. “I always thought you and Applejack would be the first two.”
The two girls looked at each other, and burst out laughing. “Oh wow.” Applejack slapped her knee. “Me and Rares knockin’ boots, that’s a good one.”
“While Applejack would be a lucky girl to have me, she’s not my type.” Rarity shook her head. “I’m quite straight, darlings. I’ve a healthy appreciation for beauty in either gender, perhaps, but sexual interest does not extend so far.”
“Same here.” Applejack tipped her hat. “Straight as an arrow. Ah mean, there’s nothin’ wrong with bein’ gay or lesbian or whatever word ya wanna use. Ah just ain’t.”
“Hang on.” Rainbow held up her hands. “Okay, not to be a bitch here, but are Sunset and I the only lesbians here? Fluttershy, back me up.”
“Um…” Fluttershy shrank back in her seat. “Well, you know, sure I notice when a girl is pretty or has a nice figure. But… I just don’t think about other women like that. Sorry.”
“Pinkie?”
“Girl, boy, who cares? As long as you find someone to love, their plumbing shouldn’t matter!”
Sunset frowned. “Rainbow and I are really the only gay ones here?” The others all nodded.
“Well, us and Twilight.”
The two Twilights coughed on their lunches, having up to now just observed the conversation. Sunset rolled her eyes. “Sci-Twi is asexual, Rainbow.”
“Not her, I – wait, really?”
Sci-Twi nodded. “I just don’t see the need for intercourse beyond the need to procreate, which I’ve no interest in. Technology has advanced far enough that one does not need a partner of the opposite gender to achieve satisfactory sexual experiences.”
Rainbow shuddered. “Getting back to what I meant, I meant the other Twilight.”
“Me?” Princess Twilight squeaked. “No, no no no no. I’m straight. Remember Flash Sentry, I totally crush on him.”
“You also let Sunset seduce you in the music room,” Rainbow said with a grin.
“Rainbow!” Sunset reached over to hit her but Rainbow pulled back.
“What, every other secret we’ve been holding back is coming out, why not that one?”
“The music room?” Applejack got a disgusted look on her face. “As in the music room where we practice every week?”
Twilight blushed furiously. “Um… on the desk.”
“The desk? Ah eat offa that!” Applejack jumped to her feet and ran off, gagging.
Rarity sighed. “Anyone else we should know about?”
“No.” Sunset said. “Well, Trixie.”
Pinkie thought, and nodded. “I can see that, got a nice ass.” She leaned forward and gave Sunset a knowing smile. “Soooo, who’s next on the list to screw?”
“No one!” Sunset glared. “I am not going to become a raging slut sleeping with every girl she finds hot just because I have a penis now.” As she finished she noticed the others looking over her head, and paused. Sunset slowly turned her head.
Flash Sentry stared down at her, slowly blinking. “Did I miss something?”
“Sunset has a penis now,” Rainbow explained.
Flash blinked again. “That’s new, right? Because I think I would have noticed that back when we were dating.”
Sunset sighed and waved a hand at Applejack’s empty seat. “Sit down and I’ll explain, it’s a bit of a story.”
“I’d actually prefer to go to my normal seat and pretend I didn’t hear anything.”
“You know what, so would I.”
“Cool.” Flash waved at the group and walked away.
“And on that note, I think we should stop the talking.” Rainbow leaned in. “Maybe we should get together and talk this stuff over when people can’t overhear?”
“Agreed.” Rarity stood up, her tray of food done. “Besides, I have an errand to run before afternoon classes.”
“And I have to call the animal shelter to check in on our new volunteer.” Fluttershy stood and followed Rarity away.
“We should go too.” Princess Twilight stood and put a hand on Sci-Twi’s shoulder. “We need to get that magic device so I can take it back to Equestria and modify it.” Sci-Twi nodded and accompanied her out of the cafeteria.
“I just gotta go in general.” Rainbow swung a leg over the bench and jogged off.
Left alone, Sunset slowly looked at Pinkie Pie. The other girl was watching her with a look of curiosity. “What?”
“So, like, how big is it? On a scale of one to ten, ten being porn star hung. Just gimme a number.”
“Hey, Twilights!” Rainbow Dash ran down the hall towards the two girls facing away from her. They turned at her voice.
“Yes?” Sci-Twi asked.
Rainbow stopped in front of them. “Uh, question about what’s gonna happen. You’re gonna use that magic thingie to take away the magic that gave Sunset and Twilight dicks?"
“That’s the plan,” Princess Twilight replied. “I’ll be taking it to Equestria to study it, but it should be fully possible to modify it like that. We’ll absorb the magic that transformed them into the magic device, then send it back to the portal.”
Rainbow looked around the hall to make sure they were alone, then leaned in and smirked.
“Think you could pass it along to someone else instead?”
Sunset gripped the edge of her bed in her small apartment. Rainbow and Twilight had called to tell her they were on their way. They had already been at the other Twilight’s house; the modified device worked. Sci-Twi was now minus one dick. And now Sunset was preparing to admit to Twilight she had no intent to give up hers. I can’t imagine her caring. She’s living in Equestria, and this is my life. She won’t mind, right?
She heard a knock on her door and stood up. A quick stroll down the hall, she slid back the deadbolt on her door, and pulled it back. Rainbow Dash waved. “Hey, Sunny.” Next to her, Princess Twilight just lifted her hand.
Sunset stepped aside. “Come in.” Rainbow grinned and came inside, while Twilight was a bit slower. Sunset noticed Rainbow’s attitude as she headed down the hall. What’s up with her? Before she could ask, Rainbow looked back and waved her forward. Twilight obeyed her, leaving Sunset to shrug and follow the two.
Sunset came into her bedroom to find Twilight sitting down at her desk while Rainbow bounced on the edge of her bed, and she raised an eyebrow. “Why are we in my bedroom?” Sunset saw Rainbow shoot a glance at Twilight before waving a hand towards Sunset.
“First, tell Twilight what’s up with us.”
Sunset frowned, but nodded. She looked at Twilight and waited for the other girl to look up at her. “I wanna keep it,” Sunset blurted. She took a breath. “If the portal is compromised, okay, let me know. But if I can keep this magic, side-effects and all, I’m going to. Please understand.”
Twilight blushed, but nodded. “I know. Rainbow told me.”
“Oh.” Sunset thought for a moment. “Then why did you two still come here?”
“We ain’t here for you, Sunny.” Sunset turned back to Rainbow sitting on the edge of her bed. She had taken off her jacket and tossed it on the dresser. Rainbow shimmied back further and leaned back, putting a hand down to prop up her torso. “We’re here for me.”
“For you? What are you talk—" Sunset stopped as Rainbow reached her free hand to her skirt and swiftly unbuttoned it and tossed it aside. Sunset’s girlfriend was reclining on her bed in her white top and a pair of deep pink panties. Sunset stared for a moment as slow realization came to her. “Seriously.”
Twilight bit her lip and nodded, blushing furiously. “It should be possible.” She unzipped her backpack and took out the magic capture device Sunset recognized from the Friendship Games. It now had some buttons and a dial on one end. “It granted its power to you and the other Twilight when it was overloaded. Reconfiguring it to syphon and redirect magical energy in general was pretty simple. She’s actually quite brilliant to figure out how to do that with no understanding of magic at all, magic transfer is a fairly advanced…”
Twilight stopped as she saw the two staring blankly. She gave a sheepish smile and looked away. “Um, point is, yes. There is no reason we can’t transfer the magic we absorbed from her into Rainbow Dash.”
“Sweet!” Rainbow shook her hips on the bed. “Fire that baby up, Twi!”
“Wait.” Sunset put out a hand. “Is this safe? Ethical?”
“Hey, you get to keep yours!” Rainbow glared. “I want one of my own!”
“Why?”
Rainbow gave Sunset a lecherous leer. “Is wanting to slide your skirt up your hips and bend you over this bed not reason enough?”
Sunset ignored Twilight’s sudden coughing fit. “So, what? You figured ‘hey, Sunset is having fun with her dick, gimme one too’?”
“Yup.” Rainbow shrugged. “Why not? It sure beats a strap-on.”
“Um, if I can answer the first question?” Twilight waved at the two. “You and the other Twilight held the portal’s energy for more than a month now. Have you noticed any adverse effects?”
“No, but…” Sunset made a face. “This is weird. We’re just gonna start giving dicks to every girl who wants one?”
“Of course not!” Twilight shook her head vigorously. “But, you have one, and you’re fine. The portal’s magic was already drained into the other Twilight. I haven’t noticed any difference in the portal itself, so for this one case, there isn’t much difference between just putting the magic back, or giving it to someone else.”
“We came to ask permission.” Rainbow Dash turned more serious. “If this ‘us’ thing is going to keep going for the long haul, I’m not gonna do it if you don’t want it.” She grinned away. “I’m just saying, think of how much fun we could have.”
Sunset did think about it. She felt herself get hard and wet at the mental images Rainbow had earlier suggested. “It’ll be an adjustment.”
“I’ll be fine.”
“If there’s a risk at any point, we get rid of them. This is magic we don’t fully understand, after all.”
“For sure.”
Sunset took a breath, thought it over one more time, and then nodded. “Go ahead.”
“YES!” Rainbow pumped her fist and looked at Twilight expectantly. Twilight looked down at the device, turned the dial, and held it out to Rainbow.
“Press the button to the right of the dial,” she instructed.
Rainbow held the device in front of her with both hands and moved her forefinger to the indicated button. She looked up at Sunset and winked. “Here goes nothing.” She pressed the button firmly.
The device lit up in a bright purple blow, and tendrils of ghostly magic in shades of violet and blue flowed out of it and enveloped Rainbow. She began to glow and rose off the bed, the device hovering in front of her. The device flashed brightly and the magic around Rainbow followed suit, being absorbed into her body in a white light. Two furry pairs of pony wings sprouted from her back, her human ears vanished as pony ears poked out of her hair, her hair lengthened behind her, and a matching rainbow tail grew from her backside.
The light faded and the magic capture device dropped to the ground with a clang. Rainbow descended back to the bed. Sunset looked her over. Her hair seemed to have taken on a new shimmer, the colors rippling in the light, and her wings were larger than Sunset remembered.
Her eyes fell on Rainbow’s groin, and her breath hitched at a new bulge in her panties.
“Whoa.” Rainbow grinned and jumped to her feet. “Now that’s a rush! I feel energized!” Before Sunset could register it had happened, Rainbow had dashed to the far side of the bedroom in a blur of rainbow color, and was looking at herself in the mirror. Rainbow turned from side to side. “Yeah, this isn’t like normal. Huh, kinda weird saying that, turning into a pony-human anthro thing is normal for me now.” Rainbow stopped and Sunset saw her look at her panties. Rainbow’s hands dropped to her waist and she quickly pushed her panties down. A new pale blue penis hung freely. She whooped.
“It worked,” Sunset stated.
“Hell yeah it did!” Rainbow reached down and took it in her hand. “Feels warm.” She fondled it a bit, tapping on it gently. “Sensitive. No wonder guys hate being kicked in the balls. Gonna have to watch this playing soccer now.”

This is the final segment in the Sunset tetralogy.
