Author's Note
Hey guys, how's it?
Here's another story for y'all... And I'm honestly not sure where it came from. I went bowling one night and BAM. Idea. It's just a short thing I wrote, nothing intense and isn't meant to be taken seriously. Just kinda a feel good thing.
Also. I feel like I may get comments on this, so I'll get it out of the way. The bowling alley I went to had a restaurant/bar connected to it. So when you get to Pinkie's part in the fic, don't be all weird that there is a buffet XD
That is all.
Enjoy!!!! -Dawn
I dare you to...
“It’s okay if y’wanna give up RD, I’m alright with bein’ tied,” Applejack said, her face only inches away from her shorter friend, a smirk plastered on her freckled face.
“Well, I’m not!” Rainbow Dash replied through gritted teeth, “we have to think of something else to do!”
“Name it sugarcube, I’m up for winnin’ this thing.”
Rainbow scoffed, her magenta eyes glaring daggers at the bright green ones that were looking back in the same manner.
“I think you mean me, Applebutt, since I’m going to kick your ass.”
“That a promise?”
They were outside in the school courtyard causing quite the scene. They were supposed to be having their after-school study session like they did every Tuesday with the rest of their friends, but the two tomboys had been fighting all day.
It was a common occurrence to see the blonde and multi-color haired girl arguing and most people were used to by now, walking past them without stopping to see what all of the fuss was about.
Their four friends were watching close by, different levels of exasperation on their faces.
“S-should we stop them?” Fluttershy asked, her pale face hidden behind long pink locks.
“No, it’ll be over when Rainbow finally accepts that they really did tie or they find some other ridiculous thing to do. It’s better to let it play out,” Twilight responded blandly from her seat beside her on the picnic table, a #2 pencil tapping impatiently on her textbook, “although, if they would just engage in coitus already we wouldn’t have to deal with this dumb sexual tension all the time and we could get back to studying.”
An idea finally came to Rainbow as she grinned and said, “you, me, bowling alley now. Loser has to do a dare.”
“Fine by me.”
“Pinkie!” Rainbow Dash yelled at the excited girl, not taking her eyes off of Applejack for a second.
Pinkie jumped up from the metal picnic table and skipped over, hands behind her back.
“Yes, Dashie?”
“You’re coming with us to moderate in case things get a little too heated. And you get the honor of choosing what the loser gets to do for the winner, so make it good. Don’t hold back, hit us with your best shot… unless someone is ready to admit defeat?” she pushed her forehead against the taller girls, trying to intimidate her to back down.
“Only in your dreams darlin’,” Applejack pushed back, their noses touching now.
“Yes boss!” Pinkie said happily, giving her a salute.
“We can take my truck, it’ll fit us all,” the farmer told them, finally breaking her gaze and moving away to adjust her shirt that Rainbow had wrinkled in her fist.
“Okie dokie lokie! Let me grab my stuff!”
Applejack pulled her keys out of her back pocket. “Sorry for skippin’ out girls, but I gotta teach this varmint a thing or two ‘bout bowlin’.”
“Not to worry, dear. We will still have a lovely session without you. Quieter for sure,” Rarity chimed in, dismissing her with a flick of her hand.
Rainbow rolled her eyes.
“See y’all later!”
The three girls piled in Applejack’s truck and made their way off of the school grounds.
“So Pinkie, you got a dare?”
The party girl smiled manically, “oh, I have one picked out alright…”
After Applejack sat the orange bowling ball she had picked out on the ball rack, she turned to face Rainbow Dash, who was bent over in her chair, finishing tying her shoes.
Applejack’s eyes wandered over her friends body, taking in her slim and feminine physique, admiring the way her arm muscles moved as she finished lacing up her shoes.
Rainbow straightened up and watched her feet as she wiggled her toes, making sure the bowling shoes were comfortable.
“Ready to get your ass beat?” the prismatic girl smirked, standing up and stretching.
Applejack huffed a laugh. “You talkin’ to yourself there, sugarcube?”
Dash pouted and stuck her tongue out as Pinkie popped up out of nowhere with a large plate of nachos.
“Oh my gosh guys, they have an all-you-can-eat buffet for the next two hours! This place is amazing!” she screeched, plopping an oversized bite of chips and cheese in her mouth.
The blonde chuckled fondly at her friends antics before moving to stand behind the monitor, starting a new game.
“Hey, RD, what’cha want your screen name to be?”
“Winner #1, duh.”
Applejack scoffed. “How ‘bout ‘Annoyin’ pain in my side?’ Pick somethin’ else.”
Dash frowned. “You’re no fun. Fine. Do AwesomeBabe1.”
“Ain’t that your email?” the farmer questioned, typing it in anyway.
“Yeah, so what? Sue me.”
Applejack finished up and the TV above them lit up, showing a bowling pin doing a little dance before displaying both of their names.
“O-oh my God, you went with Applebutt?” Rainbow wheezed through her laughter, clutching her side.
“Shut it. You call me that all the time. It’s a little endearin’, if not a bit odd so I decided to go with it.”
“Well it’s a real nice butt, that’s for sure,” the shorter girl winked and walked over to the rack, picking up her ball that was slightly smaller than Applejack’s, “but no ass, no matter how nice can compete with or distract me and my awesome bowling skills.”
The blonde sat down in one of the chairs next to Pinkie Pie who was intently watching Rainbow as she stuffed her face with another plate of nachos.
“This is so super fun-citing! I can’t wait to see who wins! I hope it’s you Jackie! But I also hope it’s Dashie! Oh, I can’t decide!”
Rainbow held the ball in both hands, looking down the lane and determining what the best course of action was.
After a few moments strategizing, her tongue stuck out in concentration, she took a few steps back, then ran forward, releasing the ball before she stepped over the line.
It stayed somewhat straight, curving slightly to the left before crashing into the pins. Five were knocked over.
After her ball made it back onto the rack and the pinsetter did its job, she rolled it again, straighter this time and knocked down another pin.
“Son of a bitch!” she spun around, throwing her hands up in an exasperated fashion.
“Yeah, winner #1, that’s for sure,” Applejack teased as she passed her, moving to pick up her own ball. Rainbow flipped her off.
The multi-color haired girl gulped as she watched her friend saunter towards the right line, her wide hips swaying with every step.
Applejack looked behind her and smirked. “Lemme show y’how it’s done, honey.”
“I can’t believe y’won!” Applejack complained loudly as she returned her ball back on the storage stand.
“Heh, I totally can, I’m awesome!” Rainbow boasted, picking up both of their shoes to take up to the front desk.
“Four points! Y’won by four dang points! If I hadn’t tripped over my shoelaces and sent the ball into the gutter, I’d be the one braggin’!”
“Dude, that was fuckin’ hilarious!” Dash told her before leaving real quick to drop their shoes off.
“It was pretty funny, Jackie! I’ve never heard you cuss so much in one sentence!”
Applejack glared at Pinkie and picked her keys up off of the table and stuck them in her pocket.
“I am the champion, I am the champion, no time for losers,” Rainbow pointed at Applejack as she walked back, “‘cause I am the champion… of the world!”
“Oh shut up, RD. Y’weren’t too excited when I was whoopin’ ya… before I tripped.”
“Yeah, but I won. How doesn’t matter.”
“Miss Modesty over here,” the blonde crossed her arms together.
Rainbow ignored her and looked at Pinkie who was finishing off an ice cream cone. “So Pinks, since AJ here lost, care to tell us what dare she will be doing?”
Pinkie nodded and smiled. “Oh, you’re just going to love love love it! Or at least I hope so, if I haven’t been misreading the signs… Oh no, what if I did misread the signs and I totally screw everything up and you guys hate each other and I just couldn’t live with myself if I did something to ruin you guys relationship and Gummy would never ever ever forgive-”
“Pinkie! Get on with it!”
“Oh yeah, sorry! Applejack, I dare you to…”
She paused for dramatic effect.
“Kiss Rainbow Dash!”
“What?!”
“Thirty seconds.”
“Nope!”
“With tongue.”
“No way in hell!”
“And hand-on-body contact.”
“Uh, Pinkie, don’tcha think that’s oversteppin’ it just a bit?
The pink-haired girl only grinned.
“T-there ain’t no way I’m k-kissin’ her. She’s my best friend, I couldn’t do that!” Applejack could feel her cheeks start to burn at the prospect. She sent a quick glance in Rainbows direction, to see that she was blushing too, although unlike her own face, which was converted into a look of shock, Dash was biting her lip and giving her a sexy half-lidded stare.
Applejack froze. Rainbow looked like she wanted the kiss to happen. And if Applejack was being honest with herself, she wanted it to happen too.
But if she did, if she gave in, then she’d have to deal with all of those confusing feelings and emotions that came up. It was already hard enough just being around the daredevil without overstepping the boundaries of friendship.
She just couldn’t take it if Dash was doing this to egg her on so that she could tease her about it later like she was so prone to do about most things.
She turned back to her chubby friend. “Sorry Pinks, I just can’t. Maybe you can give me another dare?”
“No can do! That dare was Pinkie Pie Official! You have to!”
“But-”
“You scared, AJ?” Rainbow cut her off, a smirk growing on her face.
“Naw, I ain’t-”
“Then lay one on me, babe. I’m not gonna be your first kiss, so what’s the problem?”
“I-I just can’t. Wouldn’t be right.” Applejack turned away and made her way towards the exit, the two other girls in tow.
“Why not? Traditional family values? I know you don’t have that homophobic southern thing going on, seeing as you’re friends with me… So who is it you’re worried about? Granny Smith? Big brother?”
“Neither. They’d both support me no matter what.”
“Then kiss me. One little peck on the lips isn’t gonna do any harm, unless…”
Applejack walked quickly through the double doors into the night air, trying to put some distance between her and Rainbow.
The shorter girls smile grew bigger, “you’re scared you’ll like it.”
Applejack stopped in her tracks, causing the other girl to almost run into her.
“That’s it, isn’t it? You’re scared that if you kiss me, that you’ll get a crush!”
The blonde clenched her fists.
“C’mon! Kiss me AJ! You’re acting like a scared little girl! Where’s the AJ I know? The one who’d never back down from something like this! Just fucking kiss me alrea-”
Rainbow was the one cut off this time as a tanned hand found its way into her shaggy hair, yanking her head back harshly, and the other hand on her chest, shoving her hard against the brick wall of the building, winding her.
Applejack pressed her body roughly against the other girls and smashed their lips together, turning Rainbows grunt into a moan.
Rainbow was surprised at how good a kisser Applejack was. She’d never been kissed so passionately and when the blonde snuck her tongue into her mouth, her knees almost gave out. It was a good thing she was propped up against a wall.
She tried to wrap her arms around the farmer but the taller girl grabbed them and pinned her wrists above her head, deepening the kiss as one of her thighs found its way in between the others legs.
Applejack moved her mouth down her neck, sucking and biting the skin there, hoping to leave her mark as Rainbow hissed in mixed pain and pleasure, squeezing her thighs tight around the blondes.
“Fuck, AJ, more,” Dash told her, her voice raspier than usual.
The other girl did just that, returning to her lips with renewed vigor, feeding Rainbows bottom lip through her teeth and releasing her hands so that she could grope her breasts through her thin tank top. The shorter girl was wearing a sports bra with minimum padding and Applejack could feel Rainbows nipples slowly rising at the touch which spurred her on.
Rainbows hands found their way to Applejack’s ass, squeezing the perfect round flesh and pulling her even closer.
“Uh, hey guys…” Pinkie attempted to get their attention, but neither was listening as the farmers hand slipped under Rainbow’s shirt.
“Guys! Hey!” She tried again to no avail.
“Hey!” A big booming voice yelled out, immediately making the two jump apart and look around to who had scared them.
An older grumpy-looking employee was walking towards them, a cigarette in hand.
“This ain’t no gay club so you two need to skedaddle. No PDA on the premises, this is a family joint.”
“Sir, I’m terribly sorry ‘bout that, we’ll uh, get outta your hair.” Applejack tipped her hat at the man while Rainbow attempted to smooth her messy hair.
He grunted his thanks and walked away, flicking some ashes off before taking another puff.
“Pinkie!” Rainbow scolded, “why didn’t you warn us?”
“I tried, but you two were too busy to hear me!” she snapped back.
“Oh, uh, right,” she scratched the back of her head awkwardly before laughing. She looked up at Applejack who started laughing with her.
“So…” Rainbow started awkwardly, “What does this make us?”
Applejack grinned, and grabbed her hand, tossing Pinkie her keys which the bigger girl caught after they hit her chest. They started making their way through the parking lot.
“Pinkie? Y’think you can drive? Me and my girlfriend,” she paused and looked at Rainbow to judge her reaction, to which Dash beamed brightly at her and squeezed Applejack‘s hand, “have some unfinished business to tend to.”
