A dirty-pink colored hoof stepped into view, followed by another. And another. Continuing on their merry way. Well, not very merry really they were a bit... sluggish. The beating steps on the dirt road were one of the few sounds that could be heard. Besides, you know, the fading sounds of the village, and the growing natural chirps and the soft wind. It was about midday.

Now back to the hooves--which if we travel up--belonged to the rest of a dirty-pink colored fur body. Her mane and tail was a beautiful stunning lavender which shined in the sunlight. They were highlighted with a gorgeous cyan blue. Two blue eyes looked ahead. Small bags hung beneath them, from having to wake up in the middle of the day, but had a tiny, pleased smile on her face, knowing it was worth it and to top it all off, black-grey bat wings lied on her back. Plus, a pretty gold bracelet with a flying bird on an infinity symbol, which was sited on her left-fore leg.

Her name--Scribble Pen, a very, tried bat pony at the moment. She was just walking back from Rarity's place. The white unicorn had let her use some fabric and some 'help' to sew a present. A yawn started to form, deep down in the pit of her stomach, but Scribble didn't want to let it win so she tried really, really hard to keep her mouth shut but sadly the yawn won this completely and incredible needless battle. And so she yawned.

The only reason she even had to get up in the middle of the day was cause her stupid sister would be asleep. And her birthday would be the next night.

Isn't there a word for that? I don't know, I'm too sleepy.

As she continues to trot forward, a big yellow blob with pink hat and a tiny white bookbag was bouncing froward up and down the road. That nice. It walked closer. Wait a minute--the blob walked a bit closer, and she walked some more closer to get a better view. Hold up...that's Fluttershy! With that annoying bunny of hers. Another yawn.

Damn it, I'm so tried. Plus I forgot my contacts.

Anyway, Scribble waved to her as they were meeting about halfway. "Hey there Flutters, what's up?" Scribble says.

The kind mare look at her and thought for a second and then said, "Oh, um... the sky?" She looked up to add to the joke.

"Oh, okay..." Scribble started to say. "Wait a minute!" She says a little louder, eyes widening. Scribble -the best bat pony around (and probably the only)- just got severed by the kindness mare around. When she calms down and giggles. Fluttershy joins in. "You've been hanging with Ekko too much." Scribble says as she finished laughing.

"I'm doing well. I'm just going to the market to get some food." That stupid bunny of hers stomps one of his feet on her back. "Oh, I mean we." She corrected. Scribble rolls her eyes at the bunny on Fluttershy's back, which stood in between her wings. "Oh, what's that?" She points at a red wrapped box with a yellow bow, which laid on Scribble's back between her wings.

"It's a present for Ekko." The bat pony then smiles proudly and puffs out her chest as she says the next line. "I made it."

"Is the party still tomorrow night? At the clearing?" Her soft voice pretty much put Srcibble to sleep. Though there was a small creak in its hen Fluttershy said clearing, but Srcibble didn't notice it.

"Yawn...I mean, yeah, starts an hour before sunsets. "

"Oh, dear, shouldn't you still be sleeping?" She asks, worry flashes on in her blue eyes.

"Yes, but I can last for like ten more minutes before I finally pass out." Scribble smiles crazy like. Then she asks, "Hey, can you do me a favor?"

"Of course." She says with a small kind smile. "What is it?"

"Can you hide this in your cottage till tomorrow? I know Ekko will find it if it's in the house."

"Sure!" She chirps happily.

Scribble put the gift on her back between her wings, beside Devil... I mean Angel.

Not.

He looks at it before giving it a kick. Not really hard enough to throw it over, but just enough to move it an inch. Not wanting to him to damage the gift, Scribble lets out a low growl and shows him her fangs, to remind him that she eats meat. His ears fold back and his eyes widen because he knows she will do it and -him being a smart bunny- puts the gift back to where it was, and for good measure, gives it a little pet.

"Good." Scribble smiles. He quickly hopes into Fluttershy's mane to hide till the fanged beast was gone. "Well then." She says aloud. "I pretty sure I hear my soft, warm bed calling me. So got to go. See ya." Her legs almost giving out if she would have stood there, so still, any moment longer.

"Okay. Rest well." Fluttershy says as they part ways. As Scribble starts heading back to her house in the Everfree Forest, she must have fallen asleep standing up -but evidently she had keep walking - as the next thing she knows, she slams straight into her door.

"Ow! Who puts a door here?" She mumbles as she thrust it open. She walks passed the storage room/desk space on the right. The sight of the stairs on the left greets her - as do doors to the bathroom and the kitchen. Further ahead is the room Ekko and her share.

As she walks into the room, passes by Ekko's bed, next to the door and heads straight to the other one on the other side. Her soft, warm bed that has been calling her the whole freaking morning. As she flops down on it without a care in the world, don't you it? There's someone there already.

"Ekkooo!" Scribble whines. "You're in my bed again." The under the blankets only grumbles in her sleep in reply. Damn it -she's a deep sleeper- so there's no point to trying to wake her. "Fine, you mutt, but only because you're really soft and cuddly and I really don't want to get up again."

A small smile appears on her face in response.

"I hate you." The bat pony , ears folding flat on head, she says as she puff her cheeks and lays back down. Ears pop back up and a smile grows as she starts to drift off with the soft wolf fur beside her warming her up.

(about 2 hours before sunset)

Warmth. The Ekko was used to it. She probably went to sleep on Srcibble's bed, again.

Ha in her smug little bat-pony face, ha-ha.

Ekko slowly cracks open an eye. And find dirty pink fur under my nose. She looks to see what awkward position they were in this time. Oh ok, it not as weird as other times. There have been some where one of them had ended up on the floor, and others where they were in one another's wings and one particularly interesting time when Ekko ended up outside. The important thing to remember about that was all the doors and windows were locked! Anywho, but today just a basic cuddle.

Now how will I wake you up this time.

An evil grin appears on Ekko's face. "Alright Srcibble, say nothing if you want me to wake you up." No answer but the soft breathing of the bat pony. She chuckles evilly. "Ok your choice." Ekko put her paws on Scribble's chest and push her off.
