"So how are you feeling?" Ekko asked the princess of the night after she got off her.
"I feel stronger. Luna said, stretching. Being tackled by the winged wolf was no small fee. Instead of the blue mare we come to love in the show--
"Hey! That's my job!!!" Yelled a pink mare from beyond.
wait what! How...she...wat!?! ...You know what... screw it. Let's continue.
Shaking that off...um... oh yeah--
Instead, there stood a mare with a mane slightly full of stars. With a mix of black splats and dots all over her light blue body. Funny thing about that, was that the splats and dots moved. Like her mane, they grew and shrunk and move around.
For example; one started on her neck, about the size of a baseball, and travel down to her chest, growing to a small wagon wheel. Then travel to her back and shrink to a marble. There were different ones growing and shrinking, never stoping. There was no pattern to it, it was just there.
"Tea and cookies?" Tardis asked.
"That would be quite welcome please." She answered happily. The red wolf snapped two of his digits (it pretty much works like Discord's lion paw) with a loud snap and quick flash of light, a small table appeared. The three sat down. Luna taking a cup of tea, and Ekko taking a cookie, Tardis staying content with neither.
The smiles fell and the emotionless faces came. Ekko taking a bite into the cookie before she began, "It's getting nearer. In about a week- maybe two- you'll be back. Your spirit is getting stronger. The moon and stars are alining. But this means your Neo is getting stronger as well. When you return, she may--" Ekko paused for a just a quick second before continuing. The other two noticed this and knew why.
Death was something the wolf thought of often. Even when the wolf killed, it was with respect, never playing with the prey, never killing for fun. It was always the happiest friends that you have to watch. Not the strongest nor the smartest or the outsiders. But the happiest. They are, most times, in pain and just want to please their friends.
"-she will be out of control once you get here." Ekko stated and it was true, the mare in front of them seemed more...colorful. Darker blue fur, brighter eyes, and her mane was beginning to have stars and move. Not many, not much. But it was a change. Ekko took another bite of her cookie before continuing "But we sense the one chosen will be coming soon. Celestia says she has found her and will be sending her here. To make friends and make things right once more."
Luna, at the name of Celestia, froze for just a second. Again, the other two in the 'room' caught it. We will get back that that.
Luna finished her tea. Ekko finished her cookie and Luna picked up after Ekko, not in food wise but in talking wise, "We understand this..." she drew a breath. "will be our last conversation till we may return. Nightmare will soon take over our mind once more." Luna sighed, "While we shall not remember half, if any of our conversations." This was the death. Not the part where the friend leaves, but the part where the friend forgets. It hurts to be lifted but kills to be forgotten.
"This means well for Nightmare shall not think of thee. Thee will not be attacked. But we shall miss thee for being our friend through these final weeks of our punishment. So...thank you. For sharing thee mind and being our friend."
At this point, Luna had stood up and walked over to Ekko before putting both hooves around her neck. Ekko, being the support, only put one paw around her barrel. They simply squish closer together, hoping that they didn't have to let go. Tardis even had a small sad look on his face. All three of them knowing what will happen next.
The two broke their hug, nodding to each other. Tardis walked up to Luna and gave her a deep bow. His nose just barely hitting the ground. When he got back up, Luna walk over to him and gave him a quick pat on the head before leaning closer and rubbing their heads together. They closed their eyes savoring it a little longer.
And before any of you even think about these two being a ship...No. Just no. In Luna's case, she missed her Neo and Tardis was the closest thing to her's. Nightmare was once Dream a thousand years ago...
For Tardis, being a Neo, Neo meaning an imaginary friend, meant you can never be touched, and while this was in the dream realm, it still had meaning. Luna was to him almost like Ekko was to him. Almost.
They broke apart and nodded to each other. Ekko stood next to Tardis. Luna spread her wings, about to take off, before she look back at the wolf and the Neo. She flapped her wings and flew to the edge of the dream world. Stop, turned one finally time, and waved fair well. Then just like that, she was gone.
"Good luck and goodbye" Ekko whispered.
Tardis rubbed her back. Ekko didn't cry, she was just sadden. But she knew that she can always redo their friendships with Luna. She didn't like doing that but at least she will have a friend in the near future.
After a minute, she took a deep shaky breath. "Alright let's wake up." With that, she blinked and, just like that, she was back in the waking world.
Author's Note

I've been trying to get back but it's hard. But don't worry summer is coming. I'll be trying to push the story a long a little more. Plus some of the story drawing I have been working on.
Plus this almost made a hundred word count. So I feel kinda proud.
