Chp-3 Flashback

Somehow they both remembered their breakup story at the same time. They both sang a song at the same time. It was painful, but they both hoped they needed each each other as much as they do.

"Buttons?" said a voice.

"Mom?" said Button. "What are you doing here?"

"No,what are YOU doing here?" asked his mom. "You're supposed to be in bed for you have to work tomorrow."

"Mom......I will lie to my fans that I am on a break. They will understand, they always do."

"Answer my question.What are you doing here?"

"No, you tell me what are YOU doing here"

"You're song woke me up, hon. I did'nt know you sing so well.......now tell me isn't that song about that filly, Sweetie Belle?"

"Well.......yeah......after that incident when we were young, we were young, we broke up."

Flashback starts......

"Hey Sweetie Belle!" said Button Mash as he was walking in the boutique.

"Oh hey, Button Mash." said Sweetie Belle. "I was working on this song,how is it?" She show him the song.

"Well......I am not into songs but if you ask me.....this is great."

"Thanks....I worked hard into making this one. Its my best one yet."

"Well....If you're not busy...... do you want to play pokemon with me? You won't believe it, but I caught an Eeve."

"An Eeve? No way."

"Yes way! I was hoping if you could battle with me so I could help it gain xp so it could evolve."

"Sure! Why ask? Now I am gonna find my nitendo-ds. Take care of my song for me. I am gonna keep it on this table. Don't let anyone touch it.....promise?"

"Promise"

Just then some colt came in. It was Doug,but Button called him Thug because he is the biggest bully of his school.

"Hey Mash," said Doug. "You gonna play with that filly again?"

"Yeah, why?" asked Button.

"Why? Cause she's your fillyfriend."

"What? She's not my fillyfriend."

"Yeah she is, Button Mash and Sweetie Belle sitting on a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G."

"Stop it! ........I.........hate.........her."

"You..........LOVE her?"

Button started blushing.

"Eww.......Shut up.......I hate her."

"Prove it then."

"Prove it?"

"Yeah."

"How?"

"Why don't you tear up that song of hers,in front of her eyes!"

"No way dude, she worked hard on that song."

"Ooooo.......Button Mash and Sweetie Belle sitting on a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G."

That lame rhyme echoed in Button's mind. It made him cry, then with teary eyes he shouted."I WILL DO IT!"

"You better." said Doug as he was going out of the boutique.

Button Mash sat on the place where he shouted at Doug and he stared at the floor. He did'nt want to break the promise, but as reckless as he is, he had to prove he did'nt have a crush on Sweetie Belle.

"I got the game," said Sweetie Belle exiting her bedroom. "Hey, what happend?"

Button started crying again, then he started to growl, then he started to scream. Then he turned around and tore the song into little bits. He did'nt look up at Sweetie Belle.Button was only able to see Sweetie Belle's hooves.

Sweetie Belle just stood there and did'nt say anything. Button did'nt know if she was angry,shocked,surprised or even crying.He just tore up that paper.

Button ran out of the boutique and his propeller hat fell off his head. But Button did'nt go back to pick it up, he was sure Sweetie Belle will beat him up.

"I saw everything," said a voice behind him, It was Doug. "You were such a cry baby."

"I did what you said, are you happy?" asked Button

"Maybe." Doug went off.

Button started crying again. Button then staggered on his way home. He opened the door. "I am home......Mom."

"Why hello Button, hey where is your hat?" asked his mom.

"I forgot it at.......Sweetie's house."

"Button when will you stop being so forgetful?........Okay, its alright you can go after lunch."

Button went in his room, he tried playing with his video games as that is the only thing that comforts him whenever he is sad. But he had no interest in that either as he finds video games more fun with Sweetie Belle.

Just then the doorbell rang. It was Sweetie Belle. Button's mother opened the door. "Oh Hello Sweetie Belle, come on in." said his mom.

"No, I just came to give you Button's hat" said Sweetie Belle.

"Why thank you dear," Suddenly his mother became super serious. "did anything happen between you and Button?"

"No......Everything is just......fine."

"Okay then....thanks for his hat." The mother then shut the door.

"Buttons! Sweetie Belle returned your hat, when will you ever learn to be responsible like her?" said his mom when she was entering his room.

"Until she decides to forgive me" said Button to himself.

"Did you said something dear?"

"Nothing....I was just talking to myself."

"Talking to yourself? That's very unlikely of you."

"Just........ leave me alone"

"O......kay,I guess"

Since then Button Mash pretended Sweetie Belle did'nt exist. He thought she was mad and before he knew it, Sweetie Belle started to avoid him. But actually, Button was avoiding her. Sweetie Belle tried to ask him why he did that stunt but was not able to, so she gave up. Then after their elementary school graduation, Button moved back to his birthplace, Manehattan with his memories about Sweetie Belle then soon forgot them. Until now.

Flashback ends....

"I just can't believe, I did that.....I was just so young and reckless." said Button.

"I am sorry Buttons, but there is nothing we could do." said his home.

"Yeah.....I guess"

"Now go back to bed.....Everything will be fine in the morning."

But nothing did.

Meanwhile in Ponyville......

"What a lovely song, Sweetie Belle will you be singing this for your concert?" asked Rarity

"No, this is a personal song." said Sweetie Belle.

"Personal? Why I may ask?"

"Do you remember Button Mash?"

"Button Mash?.......Hmm......Oh Button Mash, your coltfriend?"

"Seriously, Rarity?"

"Oh sorry...... you were saying?"

"Yeah, that colt was there in my photo and I was asking myself, ' what happend to our friendship?' But now I know and I want to talk to about it."

"What are sisters for?........Tell me your problem."

Sweetie Belle explained the story of their friendship's demise for a few hours. Rarity understood exactly what she went through.

"I just don't know why he did it......." said Sweetie Belle. "He was crying , he did'nt mean to do it. Someone must have told him.

"Sweetie Belle, there are some things in life in which we can never get the exact answer. This episode was an example how, let this episode end or it will effect your career."

"Don't worry, I will"

But she did'nt.

"Buttons......" said a voice. It was his mom. " Are you fine now?"

"No, what is it?"

"I got a surprise for you."

"What is it?"

" 2 tickets to Melody's concert!"

" Melody? Mom, I am not interested in music and you know that."

"Come on Buttons, these tickets are really hard to get. Besides that they costed me a fortune."

"Okay....Okay ....I am coming, just give me my fake moustache and my sunglasses. It's Melody's concert, not mine. I need to be in my stealth mode."

Button did'nt know it would be worth going there, for Melody was Sweetie Belle's stage name.
