Prologue

The station was on full alert, citizens were fleeing from the galaxies most revered smuggler: John Remedy, and he just pissed off the entire Local System Security Task Force -- or LSSTF. He pushed aside countless humans and aliens alike out of his way and accidentally bumped into a group of security.

The leader of the group points at John and pulls out his stun-gun. "There he is, get him for the good of the Protracte!"

'Shit' He thought, he looked around him. '3 Sangheili, 4 human's and skag dog. Great.' He pulls out his energy sword and sets it to stun, even though he's the most famous smuggler across a dozen galaxy, he's still not a heartless monster. As the skag rushes towards him -- trying to get the kill -- he thrusts his sword at the skag, causing it to fall unconscious.

One of the guard screams in anger. "Magnus!" She rushed forward and swings her baton at John, but misses. He smirks smugly and stuns her as well. He looked around for a brief second and see's that the rest of the group are closing in on him. With no time to waste, he pulls the pin from his flashbang grenade and throws it up the air. As the flashbang explodes, the group covered their ears to stop that awful ringing sound, letting John to escape to the docks.

He looks to his back and grins widely to see that no one was following him. He laughs happily and ran even faster for his ship. The Arcturus, able to cross different galaxies in just a few minutes and other star systems in minutes. It seem's like this day is just another one of his lucky days. 10 Billion credits in one of the Terrane's most richest system: The Sol system.

Just as he was about to enter his ship, he was suddenly tazed by an unknown figure. Upon closer inspection, the unknown figure was one of Terrane's secret agency. Amanda Pond. She was an odd case of humans known as Psykers, able to bend the universe and reality itself, summoning illusions and turn invisible. She had her hair side-shaved, and her black hair has streaks of blue in some spots.

"Pitiful, and to thought that you were going to be a challenge was a bit of an understatement -- Get him to back to Earth!" And from that point, John's vision went dark.

The nightmares, they keep coming back. Once again John was running for his life against the Terrane's most feared enemies: The flood, that awful infection that infected an entire galaxy in but a few months. Behind him was the biggest combat form of the flood; The Juggernaught. It stood 15 feet tall and a look that will terrify anyone it see's. It's large claws continued to screech the walls as it runs for John.

"Come back here creature, I only wish to help you" It said in a dark and grim voice. It sounded so familiar to John, too much. He continued running and see's his entire family being infected by the little spores. He was completely petrified at the sight and take a few steps back. As he continued walking backwards, he bumped into a wall -- wait. He turned around and the Juggernaught was on front of him.

"Boo" It pierced it's meter long claws into him and raises his body to the air. "Look's good for the taking." Soon John was covered in tentacles, screaming in agony as he was completely transmogrified into one of those fiend beasts. He can feel his entire body changing, and the sound of bone's cracking was not a good sign.

'God save us all'

He wakes up abruptly, panting heavily as he wakes up. He looked around and realised that he was in an interrogation room, with both his knees and arms tied up. Amanda walks into the room and sits across the table. Instead of her roughish leather jacket and ripped jeans, she was wearing formal wear alongside a long skirt. She put a file on the table and nod's her head at the window behind me.

She took off the restrains and John rubbed the aching pain of his hand. "John Remedy, revered smuggler across the Alpha sector. I'm quite surprised that it took us ten years before we can actually capture you, I must say, I'm pretty impress."

"Please, call me John M'lady"

She writes down something on her notebook and stares at John flatly "If you're trying to flirt with me, that won't work."

He sighed. "Yeah, I thought" They remained silence, before Amanda lays down her notebook on the table.

"Look John, I hate to admit this but we need your help" She confessed, as she puts off her glasses.

"The Terrane and it's best agent asking for my help? Never thought I'd see that coming" He said smugly, but Amanda remained unaffected. "Right, why and what do you need me for?" He asked. She opened the file and what seems like a picture of 6 gems -- Each resembles a colour of a rainbow -- in it.

"A few months ago, we've detected 6 major energy outbursts from the frontier galaxy of Psi Serpentis. As it turns out, there's another interstellar empire ruling that galaxy. Though we don't have any images on what they look like, we do know that they are called 'Ponies' from the world of 'Equis.' They told us that there are 6 gem's causing massive power surges across the galaxy that disrupts their 'Warp' lane, causing them to be stuck in a certain system for an unknown amount of time, sometimes even years."

"So you're asking me to retrieve me this 'EMP Weapons of Harmony?'" He said flatly, knowing full well what would happen if he were to bring the those 'Elements' back to the Milky Way. Seeing as how dependant the worlds in the Milky way are, it would be total carnage and galaxy-wide famine would be rampant all across the galaxy. That's something no one wants to see -- well unless if they're psychotic or anything.

"Their not only EMP's, but some of our scientist's speculate, that it releases huge amounts of psychic energy, which would -- theoretically -- evolve every human into their next stage: Psionic. Though it's still very theoretical and there's still no proof of it."

John looked through the documents of the file and closes it. "So you're sending me to go get it? See if it truly does shortens our evolutionary path?" She nods and hand's him a credit card.

He grabs the credit card and put's it in his pocket. "Why did you give me that?" John asked, causing Amanda to chuckle. "You got a day to prepare and a hundred billion credits in that card" He stares at it with shock and holds it firmly.

She rolls her eyes as she smiles happily. "You're free to go, you'll get your ship back as well. Psi Serpentis is located at the Borderlands of the frontier sector, do not disappoint us or the Terrane -- and as always, we'll be watching you John Remedy"

The door behind him was unlocked and John smiled at it. He stood up and walked towards it, and as soon as he opens the door, his entire attire is there: A black trench coat, his black suit, his trusty .44 caliber revolver, and a pack of sweet cigars.

He sighed happily. "Ain't no rest for the wicked, right?"
