Twilight walked up to Carousel Boutique, and gently opened the door. “Rarity? Are you in here? Strange, her note asked me to meet her here tonight.”
“Oh darling, I’m upstairs. Care to join me?”
Twilight’s ears perked up at the sound of her friend’s voice. “Coming!” Twilight galloped upstairs, only to notice a strong but soothing aroma, while soft music played out of a small stereo, a book she hadn’t been familiar with sat next to the stereo with some strawberries on top. Candles were lit all around lighting the darkened room, and Rarity laid on her bed with her bathrobe on.
“Rarity?” Twilight started going through the room while cautiously looking around.
“You like it? Oh I’ve been wanting to talk to you for ages now, but I just couldn’t muster up the confidence. I know this might seem like quite a shock but…”
Twilight couldn’t help but giggle, bringing her hoof up to her muzzle. “Why would it be a shock? I feel the same way.”
Rarity visibly brightened up, a hint of pink forming on her cheeks. “I…I had no idea.”
“Really? You seem so surprised that I like reading by candle light also. It’s more relaxing then say the library after a long day, and I prefer a fireplace myself, but candlelight is rather peaceful. So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?” Twilight walked over to Rarity’s bed and sat down.
Rarity couldn’t help but feel herself getting warm. The way Twilight moved. Every curve, every sway of the hips, that adorkable smile, and the way she involuntarily ruffles her feathers whenever she gets excited about something.
“Well, you see I umm…”
“Are you sure you’re okay? You’re starting to turn red.” Twilight placed the back of her hoof on Rarity’s forehead, brushing away her bangs.
“You are warm. I think you might have a fever, why don’t you lay down? Perhaps we should blow out some of these candles? It’s a fire hazard anyway.” Twilight leaned over to the candles on the nightstand and started blowing them out.
“I’m not sick. You don’t need to worry about me. What I wanted to tell you, is that I have feelings for you…Twilight.” Rarity looked over to the book resting by the stereo, trying to avoid eye contact with Twilight.
Twilight couldn’t help but shake her head. “Oh Rarity, don’t you think I know that? I mean, how long have we known each other?”
Rarity covered her face with her hooves shaking her head. “You mean to tell me, that you knew all this time?”
“Of course, and I have feelings for you to.” Smiling Twilight reached over and wrapped her wings around Rarity, feeling the mare trembling slightly.
“I tried so hard to hide it.” Rarity let out a sigh of relief, as she reached out to hug Twilight, only to feel Twilight pull back.
“You tried to hide it? Why wouldn’t you want people knowing we’re friends?” Twilight scooted herself back slightly, tears starting to form in her eyes.
“No darling, that isn’t what I meant at all. I mean, I know we’re friends, but I care more about you then anypony else.
“Oh. I’m sorry Rarity, I guess I just over reacted. Also, why do you care more about me? Is it because I’m a princess now and you don’t want to see me get hurt? Because you pulled the same stunt in Everfree when the vines…”
“Twilight, let me see if I can make any of this clearer for you. I just happened to make a special outfit for just this very occasion.” Rarity slid off her bathrobe to reveal a lace dress, with holes for easy access for if things were to get physical.
“You like it?”
“Oh Rarity, I love it on you. It’s so beautiful, and I’m honored you wanted to share it with me first. Will it be sewn into a formal dress, or on display by itself? I love the design, it reminds me of a knight’s chainmail” Twilight started running her hoof over the lace, admiring the texture and technique it took to make it.
Ok Rarity, it’s obvious she isn’t getting this. Time to kick it up a notch. “Oh Twilight dear, lean forward please.” Confused Twilight leaned forward, only to find two white hooves wrapped around her neck, pulling her into a kiss. Twilight started to resist for a moment, but instead relaxed into the kiss.
A couple minutes later, the two broke the kiss, both mares heaved as the fresh air rushed into their lungs. “Oh Rarity, that was…"
“Wonderful?”
“A lot of fun. I’m assuming that kissing friends is a higher class thing? Or is it a Ponyville thing? I can’t really tell the difference, but I liked it. Can we do it again?”
Smiling Rarity pulled Twilight into a kiss again. Reaching around the mare, Rarity pulled Twilight onto her back and climbed over her.
“Um Rarity? If you wanted me to stay for a sleepover you could have asked. I am feeling kind of tired. Kissing is a lot of fun though. Maybe we can do it again sometime?” Shaking her head, Rarity put her hoof over Twilights muzzle.
“Darling, have you ever heard of a relationship before?” Rarity sat down to the side of Twilight, allowing Twilight to sit up.
“Of course. Why, don’t you know what it is? “ Twilight looked over to the other side of the bed to see a box.
Looking behind her to see what Twilight was looking at, she noticed the box full of her toys. “I had them out just in case…”
“In case of what? They look like dog toys. Were you expecting Applejack to come here also, because I can always go get her.” Twilight got up and started heading towards the door, only to jump back as Rarity slammed the door shut with her magic.
“No Twilight. Alright I am going to make this as clear as I can possibly get. So sit back down.” Rarity pointed to the spot next to her. Nervously, Twilight went back over to the bed and sat down next to Rarity.
“I have a feeling I’m missing something.” Twilight felt a blush creep on her face, as she started to rub her neck sheepishly.
“Yes, you are. Twilight darling, I love you. I want to have sex with you. This is an outfit commonly used in BDSM. That box is full of sex toys. I am in heat, and I want you to take me. Is there anything unclear about that?” Rarity took out one of her smaller dildos and passed it to Twilight who eyed it cautiously.
“Oh. Yeah, I guess I did miss the clues. Didn’t I?” Twilight used her magic to levitate the toy back into the box before standing up.
Rarity sighed, before standing up and relighting the candles Twilight blew out. “Where are you going now?”
“Oh. I was going to go get a book from my library, so I know what to do with these. In all honesty, I’ve never really done anything like it before. I’ve just never been into that sort of thing.”
Rarity couldn’t help but facehoof, as she guided Twilight back to the bed. “Then allow me to teach you.” Rarity levitated a vibrator over to Twilight.
“This is called a vibrator. You put it in, just like a stallion would put his.” Rarity explained, turning it on.
“I’m sorry Rarity, I still don’t understand what’s going on.”
Groaning, Rarity turned off the toy and set it on the bed. “What don’t you understand?”
“It’s just, how can you love me like that? We’re just really good friends, so wouldn’t it be weird if we did actually have…”
“Twilight. Have you ever been in a relationship before?” Rarity leaned over and blew out the candles that she had just relit.
“Of course. I have all of you guys. My brother, Cadence, my parents, Celestia, Luna…” Twilight found herself silenced by a hoof to her muzzle again.
“I meant like a sexual relationship.” Rarity sighed, as she started putting her bathrobe back on.
“No. I don’t think I have. I mean, I’ve kissed a couple stallions, and including you two mares but that’s about it.”
Rarity wrapped a hoof around Twilights neck, and held her close. “Do you want to be in a relationship Twilight?”
“Why do you know someone that has a crush on me or something?”
Rarity got up and blew out the rest of the candles. “Twilight?”
“Let’s just get some sleep.” Rarity finished closing up the shop for the night, and putting all of her materials away.
“Okay. Good night Rarity.” Twilight snuggled into the bed next to Rarity.
The next morning, Twilight casually strode back into the castle. Sitting down at her desk, she pushed some of her paperwork to the side and pulled out a scroll.

This is kind of awkward to ask, but how do you know if someone is interested in you…that way? I found out from a good friend of mine, that there might be somepony who has taken an interest in me and I just want to get an idea of who it might be. If it was anything like how my friend acted last night though, then I’m scared I’ll never find out. Is it too hard to come up to someone and say, do you want to be my marefriend, instead of playing twenty questions? This isn’t a topic I’ve studied a lot on. I was able to learn about more than one use for dog toys.
