"Ugh... Boring..." Peter muttered to himself, flipping through the Open Server list on StarCraft 2. "It's like no one even plays multiplayer now," he grumbled. Peter opened a new server and created some A.I to fill the slots. He chose Zerg, his favorite race out of the three, and began playing. Glancing out his window into the summer day, he looked at the kids playing at the playground, the cars parked in their driveway, the people screaming, the inter-dimensional wormhole heading straight for-
"What the what?! he screamed mentally, jumping out of his chair and dashing for the door to his room, before adding his voice to the cacophony of screaming below, as he was swallowed by the giant tear in space and time.

Sarah Kerrigan, Queen of Blades, urged the Zerg swarm further.
"To victory, my brood!" she mentally ordered her swarm, as they pushed further and further into Mengsk's defenses, destroying Dominion forces without hesitation. Kerrigan knew that Jim was doing the same with his Raiders, and with a mental push, she crushed marines in an imploding field of psionic energy. As victory drew closer, a buzzing sound was heard. Turning towards the source, Kerrigan saw a faint blue orb hovering in space.
The orb exploded, for lack of better term, and Kerrigan, and a scant few Zerg troops compared to the mass of the Swarm, were soon enveloped, a clone of Kerrigan standing in her place, continuing the assault.

Kerrigan awoke to grass and sunlight. Feeling around for a brief moment, she registered that yes, she was in a field. No, she was not on Korhal. Yes, there were a few Zerg around her. Sitting upright, she cast her psionic aura outwards, taking the mental reigns of the Zerg around her. She noticed, however, that some remained out of her reach. Trying once again to grasp them, their psionic energy stayed the same.
"Strange," She thought to herself. "Something seems to be dampening my powers, and my aura is much smaller than before..."
"Grurgh..." A voice said, surprising her. "Where can I get the number of that train..." It sounded like a young Terran, telepathically communicating with her.
"Who is this?" She asked, straining at her weakened powers to converse with the Terran. "Why are you contacting me?"
"What in the name of- WHAT?! The voice screamed, causing her to flinch in pain, "Where am I? Who are you?! What are you doing inside my head?!
"Calm yourself!" Kerrigan ordered, silencing the voice. "I wish to know your name and where you are."
"Uh, my name is Peter, and I am currently floating above this weird looking woman that looks like Sarah Kerrigan from StarCraft surrounded by Zerg." The voice explained. She looked up, trying to find him, but to no avail. "I can't feel my anything-bone, so care to tell me who you are Strange Voice of Insanity?
"Tell me, Peter," Kerrigan began slowly, hoping beyond hope it wasn't true. "Can you reach with your mind and grasp some of the Zerg around m-Kerrigan?" She stumbled on her name, not wanting to alarm the Terran.
"I swear to God if I'm... I'll try, okay? Just tell me who you are afterwards." Kerrigan looked towards the sounds of rustling and noticed a few Drones standing up, wobbling on their legs. "My brain hurts, unsurprisingly." Peter said in a stoic, almost robotic manner. "Now would you mind telling me who you are?"
Preparing for as much as possible, Kerrigan answered him. "I am Sarah Kerrigan, Queen of Blades and the Zerg Swarm. You, Peter, have apparently taken host in my mind." As she answered, the Drones that were standing up before started trembling more than ever, before falling flat on the ground. "...Peter?"
Peter couldn't believe it. Not only was he in the mind of the Queen of Blades, he could also control the Zerg. He felt his mental sanity slipping inch by inch, eating at his very soul.
"Peter." He couldn't handle this! He dreamed of becoming the Overmind, but never thought it would happen! "Peter..." No, it isn't true! This is all a dream! He was in a coma! He- "Peter!
"What is it?!" Peter screamed, the Drones around who he now knew as Kerrigan screeching with him. They all stood, trembling, a testament to how he felt as well.
Scared and confused.
"If we want to get out of this, we must work together, however much you want to curl up into a mental ball and cry." Kerrigan said, her voice like a powerful wave. "I can only control the Swarm around me. You, however, have access to it in full. We must cooperate if we want to find a way out of this mess." She explained. Peter was then resolute. He'd find his way back into his body, and back onto his world.
"You're right... He said, finally. "Since I have the most control of the swarm, I'm going to start mutating the beginnings of a base. Can you use a few Zerglings we have around and scout the area?"
"Alright," She replied curtly. "This base had better be up when I get back." She threatened, before rushing off, Zerglings in tow.

Twilight Sparkle, Protogé of Princess Celestia and Element of Magic, looked around Ponyville, seeing nopony in sight. "Where has everypony gone?" She wondered aloud. Spike, trembling on her back, looked around fearfully.
"You don't think," He began, "It could be ZOMBIE PONIES?" He said with a shout, looking everywhere for a reason that the usually busy town was silent and desolate.
"No," A voice behind them said, reverberating with power. Unicorn and dragon froze, before craning their necks towards the source. What they beheld shocked both of them.
It was a tall, bipedal insectoid creature, with wings made of bone and a brown carapace. The face, flat with glowing violet eyes, spoke of power. More creatures stood at the biped's feet, almost like they were waiting for a command.
"It's much worse.

Peter finally had the beginnings of a Zerg Hive Cluster under construction. It took some time, but the managed to find the blue, pulsing ore clusters that were soon harvested to become minerals for the Swarm. After getting started on mutating a Hatchery, he spent the rest of his time getting used to his new body. Or rather, lack thereof.
"How in God's holy name does Kerrigan make it look so damnably easy?" Peter asked himself, trying and failing, once again, to control more than a couple of drones at once. "She commanded legions of these guys, and I can't control three!"
Rustling in a nearby bush drew his attention away from his thoughts. What he saw next would've made his eyes bulge. Again, if he had them.
What he saw was a yellow pegasus with a pink mane, butterflies stamped on it's flank. The pegasus, who for ease of reference Peter decided to call "Margarine," looked around before sighing.
"Hello?" Margarine whispered, "Angel Bunny? It's almost lunch time, and you know you shouldn't be in the Everfree."
Peter, who was about to order a few of the several Zerglings to collect Margarine's biomass, stopped before mulling over his options.
"Well, this is a dilemma." He said to himself, glancing once again at the pegasus. "I need some damn Biomass to mutate a better base, but I don't want to harm sentients. Oh, what to do?" Peter noticed that, as he became better adjusted to his new "body," he became more critical and emotionless. Possibly a side effect of becoming Overmind. Glancing once again at Margarine, who was busy snuffling around in a flower bed, he finally came to a decision.
"Sorry, butter horse. But I really need your biomass."

Twilight dodged blast after blast of psionic energy before returning fire of her own. This "Kerrigan," as the creature called itself, seemed to possess immensely powerful magic. The other creatures that had surrounded it were easily dispatched with a few well-placed stun spells, and they were out like lights. Their master, however, was proving to be a bit tougher than them.
"Spike!" Twilight shouted over the din, "Get to the library and send a letter to the Princesses!"
The drake nodded, however was soon blasted by a pulse of energy. Bowling over, Spike fell onto the cobbled road, skidding a few feet before coming to a halt.
"Spike! Twilight screamed, the unicorn teleporting to the fallen drake. Just as she was about to pick him up, she, too, was blasted with pisonic energy.
"Is this truly all you can do?" Kerrigan asked, the other creatures shaking off the remaining effects of the stun spells. "You're pathetic." She said, charging her energy for a finishing attack.
"Stay away from her!" Was all the warning she got, before she was bowled over by a flying blur. Angrily, she picked herself up and looked for her attacker. "Up here, ugly." Kerrigan glared upwards, sighting a blue pegasus hovering just above a black storm cloud. The pegasus bucked the cloud, frying the Queen of Blades, the smell of ozone permeating the air. An orange pony, with neither wings nor a horn, charged from a nearby house at the Queen. The Zerglings finally made themselves useful, intercepting the pony and tackling it to the ground. A flash of violet, and the zerg were sent like skipping stones across the road. Kerrigan let loose another blast of energy, sending the violet unicorn flying through the air instead of frying her like it usually would. The pegasus dove in for another attack, but Kerrigan simply sidestepped, the pegasus missing her and becoming vulnerable to the claw that raked across her soft underbelly. Shouting in pain, it crashed to the ground.
Turning, Kerrigan saw the orange pony as the last one left standing. Tipping its hat, the creature pulled a lasso from seemingly nowhere before throwing it at Kerrigan. Caught as she was, she crackled lightning around herself, burning the ropes and freeing her from her binds. Staring in shock, the orange pony caught a blast of psionic lightning full in the face, once again the blast sending it flying instead of killing it. Taking a look around herself, she saw most of her Zerglings badly wounded, herself exhausted. She then ordered a retreat, going back to where the Cluster was to be built.

Fluttershy ran through the forest, Angel clutching her mane to keep from falling off. Strange, wolf-like creatures chased after them, their glowing eyes and purple hide flashing within the trees around them. Quickly, she turned, narrowly avoiding one of the beasts that leapt at her. Still fleeing, she failed to notice Angel falling off of her back as she ran faster and faster, the creatures still chasing her. One of the beasts broke off from the rest, rushing the bunny and catching it in it's jaws.
Even if they don't catch the winged horse, they still got something. Overmind will be pleased...

Far away in a different galaxy, a man in a grey suit of standard-issue Marine armour sat in his dropship, looking at a picture of his lover. Face set in grim determination, he flipped down his orange visor revealing a skull painted on it, and set a course for the purple blip on his radar.
"Don't worry, darlin'." He spoke, softly. Pulling back on different levers, the ship roared to life, flying into space. "I'm comin' to getcha."
Even farther away flew a golden ship, blue psionic energy crackling around it. A blue, armored Protoss stood on the bridge, watching as the tracker ontop of the Terran ship beeped on the Celestial Array. His eyes glowed with power as he ordered his crew to follow the ship.
