A Paradox of Sabotage and Regret
It's a mysterious way, how time travel works. And how one's accidental actions could kill the universe's own future time. When we look at time, we see a single path. Forward. But it is also a loop. When does time end? When does it start? Well, lets give an example of how dangerous time travel can be.
A single mare by the name of Twilight Sparkle, a character from a child's television show in one universe, yet reality in another. They eat, think, breathe. Just like humans. But this one is different, able to use magic. One out of three chance for a pony that can do that.
Now, she explores that which no pony before has. She explores time travel. She has used it for a purpose before, but only created a temporal paradox, pushing herself to repeat the actions which brought her to conclusion and mistake. Now, she travels to the past far beyond that. About two and a half millenia back in time, to a time where princesses were mares her age, where war was just beginning, and where technology has not nearly advanced as much.
But in the laws of Time, the further back you travel, the higher the risk of doing something can change the future. If you travel back before you are born, the risk is more than quadrupled. Travel back several times that, back to the times when your own bloodline was jsut beginning, that danger is multiplied a million fold.
Today, we follow this mare, Twilight Sparkle, and watch what she does, how she reacts, and how she tries to fix the problem.
Will she succeed? We shall see.
Will she still exist, having been born naturally? Possibly.
What will happen to everyone else int he future? No body knows.
To answer these questions, lets just sit and watch how the mare, Twilight Sparkle, reacts to the older world.
(first to figure the paradox facts out will get a reward.)
