-Frank's Point of View-
Finally, I was able to move out of my parent's house to join up with my best friend Drake. With everything that was going on during this month, it's been a rollercoaster ride for the both of us and our families. We both have jobs that can support us to pay off the monthly bills, however, I was recently let off of work because they were losing money during the 'dry' season of Summer. It sucks. I've had to rent a truck to move all of my belongings to Drakes and now I have to break it to him that I will be jobless for a short time until I find a new one.
I drove into the garage, turned off my car, and headed inside. The house itself was quite an amazing feat for Drake, he was able to buy this entire house with the money he saved up from when he was ten. I believe it was something that his dad suggested and I guess he took it to heart. There were three rooms, living room, kitchen, an attic, and a basement. The third room was dedicated to a gaming room. We had games that ranged from Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony; we would play any game almost every evening when we had the chance. I heard clicking from the game room and saw that Drake was getting his ass handed to him with Princess Peach and Princess Daisy from Mario Party.
"Dude, I'm telling you that game is rigged with those two." I sigh and place my bag next to the couch.
"And I'm telling you that's bogus!" He pushed another button and his Wario character landed on Peach's trap and all of his coins were gone. He shouted, "Oh!! Come on!!"
I chuckled as it deepened into a hearty laugh, "Told you."
He nearly threw his controller into the ground, but calmed down a bit and started to laugh with me, "Those bitches!!"
"Oh, now you believe me?" I smirked a bit and he nodded.
"Mario Party is hacked by those two...."
"Let's agree to never use them again, agree?" I asked.
He snickers and smiles, "Sure."
I sigh as my laughter subsided, "So, other than losing your place in that game, I have some bad news."
"Oh god... Did you get a girlfriend?" He asked, "Do I have to wear ear plugs?"
I shook my head, "I wish that were the case, but I was laid off of work because the company wasn't making enough money for the summer."
"Ah, man, that's a total downer." He facepalms.
"So money is going to be tight for me until I find a new one," I explain.
When Drake was going to say something, there was a huge explosion that shook our house. The floor, walls, and the very air began to vibrate around us. I tried to get up but fell to my knees in sudden pain. What was happening? An earthquake? An asteroid? Whatever it is, it's making us lose our breath as Drake collapse's onto the floor and which I join him.
I've experienced earthquakes before when I was living in Japan, but this... This was unnatural in all sort of fucked up ways. The feeling of my body being numb all over really made me uncomfortable. I look outside to see that it was still daytime or was it morning? A groan escaped my mouth as I tried to get up. Luckily, I was able to make it to the couch before throwing up into the trashcan next to it. Welp. My breakfast and lunch are now gone. I heard Drake get up and there was a gurgling noise from his mouth, I slid the trashcan to him and he profusely throws up into it.
I pat his back as he spat out the extra bits, "What the fuck happened?" He asked.
I shrugged my shoulders, "I have no idea." I looked out the window and my eyes widened, "Um... Did you grow or ordered some jungle plants from amazon or something?"
He looks at me quizzingly, "No....?" He said as he looked out the same window.
What he and I saw together, there was dense forest right in his backyard and he immediately runs out the front door to only shout out my name. I ran after him, feeling a bit nauseous from before to only see that the familiar street was gone and was replaced with a small cottage town in the distance. I gulped down some throw up mixed with spit to recognise a castle made out of purple crystal. I drop to my knees as I take in all the wonder and the sheer confusing thoughts going through in my mine. One statement, however, was able to escape my mind.
"We're in Equestria.... Close to Ponyville..." I say aloud.
"Oh.... Boy..." Drake said.
"You alright dude?" I asked.
He smiled and snickered, "Is it wrong of me to think that I want to sprint to Rarities Boutique and propose to her?"
At first, I was tilting my head to the side to then laugh, "Well, surely you'll cause panic to this little town and maybe give Rarity a heart attack."
He smacked his forehead, "God!! I don't want that to happen."
I look to the distance to see seven difference figures running towards us. I focused my eyes to the figures to see that they were a mixture of purple, white, orange and pink... My eyes widened, as I mentally snapped everything that happened, with the combination of fanfiction, into a nice solved puzzle. 'Of course, they would be coming here because what happened to us back there wasn't natural, it was probably magical!' I thought as I tapped Drake's shoulder.
"We need to sit calmly..." I say as I sat in a crisscross.
"Why?" He asked as we heard light rumblings from the ground.
"They're here..." I stated as I recognised Twilight, Rarity, Spike, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Starlight Glimmer heading towards the house. My friend was about to get up, but I grabbed his shoulders, pulled him down to where he landed on his butt. "Don't want to look like a threat, do we?" I explained lightly.
"Oh~" He just says as he gets comfortable.
The group that was heading towards our house slowed down, but Rainbow immediately landed right in front of us. Between us, there was silence and she was slightly confused as she tilted her head to the side. Applejack and the others showed up, but with the same expressions as Rainbow's.
"What are they?" Starlight spoke first.
"I don't know," Fluttershy said, "I've never seen them before. However, they look similar to an ape maybe?"
Drake chuckled a bit while I elbowed his gut. 'Not the time to laugh at this intense situation.' I thought.
"Ah think they understand us," Applejack said.
I scratched the back of my head, "While that may be true, do you understand us?"
Twilight immediately trotted close to us, "Oh! You can speak Equestrian?"
I shook my head, "I think the term is English, but yes."
"What are you and your..." Spike looks at the house and looks at Drake, "House doing near Fluttershy's cottage?"
I look to my left then to my right to see Fluttershy's cottage nearly ten feet away from our house. I turned to them and explained what happened.
Twilight spoke, "Interesting. You're saying that there was some sort of earthshake-"
"Earthquake." Drake corrected.
"Right, earthquake and you guys lost consciousness to only wake up in Equestria."
"Pretty much." I waved my hand.
"Fascinating," Starlight said as she moved her mane to the side with her hoof. She whispers to Twilight and she shakes her head and whispers, "They're not the same when that happened."
My eavesdropping was interrupted when Pinkie Pie appeared in front of us and looked our faces, "I sense that these guys know something that they don't want to share."
"Pinkie!" Rarity scoffed, "It's rude to make assumptions on these creatures."
"Um... Not to be rude Rarity." Drake spoke as she turned her attention to him, "We're called Humans. Also, can I say your mane looks extra curly today?" He complemented which I saw that Spike was grinding his teeth slightly.
Rarity slight blushed, "Oh, you mean this mane here? I just had the Lotus sisters take care of it during my appointment."
He rested his palm on his chin, "Doesn't matter, it still looks good on you."
I elbowed his side to make him stop and gave him a 'really?' look. I cleared my throat, despite Rarity trying to hide her blush, "My name is Frank and this is Drake. It's nice to meet you."
Twilight smiled as she took a breath, "It's nice to meet you as well, my name is-"
"We kno-" I immediately covered his mouth with my hand.
"What was that?" Rainbow squinted.
"Ah think that he said 'We know.'" Applejack raised an eyebrow.
'Oh boy...' I thought as I sighed. "Thanks, Drake." I whispered as I spoke aloud, "We know you guys from a Television show that is made for kids in our universe."
Their eyes and the expressionless emotion made their jaws drop. Starlight raised her hoof as she tried to compose herself, "I'm having a little bit of a tough time believing that..."
I sighed and fished for my keys and showed them my key chain of a mini replica of the Elements of Harmony. There were small gasp's when I showed them the piece then Drake pulls out his phone that has a case with Rarity's cutie mark. There was a gasp from her and Spike.
"They're telling the truth..." Applejack stated as she adjusted her hat.
Twilight comes closer and speaks, "So you know who we are and with that information, I just have one question to ask of you." I nodded to let her continue, "What will you do with this information?"
I cleared my throat, "Certainly not to take advantage of any of you with it." I raise my hand in the air, "We swear not to let any harm happen to anypony with this information."
"Yeah, what he said." Drake added.
Twilight smiled and look to her friends, "I believe a welcoming party is in order."
Pinkie disappeared into a dust cloud as I see her speeding down the road towards town like the road runner. That was surprisingly easy overcome.... I think? I don't know at this point, maybe she was testing us? Trying to detect if we were unfriendly?
I shook this off and got to my feet. Drake got up as well and we got the idea of the height difference between us and them. I'm 6'5" and Twilight and her friends average around 5' tall. I was feeling a bit nervous and excited because I was in front of Twilight which was making me star struck. I'm sure that Drake is having the same feeling with Rarity.
Surprisingly, a lot has happened since we've arrived here in Equestria. Registering as visiting 'foreign' citizens with Mayor Mare at the Ponyville Town hall, actually meeting with Celestia and Luna during the party, which was at Twilight's Castle and since we know them so well, we shared stories about them all. How Twilight had a break down when she couldn't deliver a friendship letter to Celestia. Explaining that Applejack needed help, but was Stubborn. Spike finally achieving the Gauntlet of Fire at the Dragon lands. Rarity setting up two shops in Canterlot and Manehattan (Drake hasn't seen season six to know, so I filled him in). Fluttershy teaching her brother about doing something on his own. Rainbow Dash accepting that Tank needed to hibernate during the beginning of winter. How Pinkie had to come terms with making a party that represents their culture to the Yaks. Then Starlight, who reconnected her friendship to Starburst while there was a blizzard trying to consume the Crystal Empire. Once it was getting close to 10 at night, everypony left the castle except, Starlight, Twilight, Spike, Drake and me.
We were casually sitting in the dining area, while explaining what happened to us when we were back in our world. Twilight wrote everything down on a piece of parchment. There were literally pages and pages of written content that we explained what happened to us while transferring to Equestria.
"Is there anything else that you might have forgotten?" She asked.
"Other than puking our breakfast," Drake spoke, "We felt fine and were surprised that we were on this world while the house was intact."
"Hmmm..." Twilight hummed as she looked back through the notes, "You're also saying that you don't have any type of magic in your world? Just illusions and from what you could remember from the recorded history of the... Medieval time era?"
I nodded, "Yep. It's our only lead to any Magic," I air quoted 'magic' with my fingers.
"We've been through this three times Twilight." Spike yawned, "Can I head to bed now?"
I stretched my body, "Yeah, let's give the dragon his rest. I'm pretty sure he'll want to try out some gems we have at Drakes house."
Spike immediately sprints out of the room saying, "Goodnight!"
Drake and I laugh at the young dragons antics, Starlight got a smile from it, but Twilight wasn't amused. I cut the laughing short and got back to focus on the situation at hand.
I cleared my throat, "So, is there anything more you wanted to ask us, Twilight?"
She tapped her hoof against her chin, "Drake," He turned to her, "How do you feel about coming into Equestria?"
He smiled, "It feels like I'm living the dream that anybody would die for back on Earth. With Frank here, I think I feel like nothing is going to stop us."
"Alright." The purple princess nodded, "Frank, How do you feel about coming into Equestria suddenly?"
I blushed when we made eye contact and mentally shook it off, why did Twilight have to be so cute? "I feel like I've won the lottery and with that prize, I'm going to spend it with my friend." I pat Drake back and continued, "Plus, we didn't like Earth for all of the mistakes it made throughout the years."
Starlight looked at us, "What kind of mistakes?"
I glanced at her, "....Wars, revolutions, world hunger, famine, corruption. All of those are just the small explanations of what's terrible around our world."
This kind of turned things into a dark setting. Twilight and Starlight's ears drooped a bit from this revelation.
"That sounds terrible..." Starlight whimpered.
Drake made a fist, "For all of its negatives, there are positives to hide it. There has been a lot of good overall, but it had been overlooked. Organizations that take care of the hungry and homeless, plus better leaders that run different countries wanting to accomplish peace."
I nod to what he said, "You might say it's a Yin Yang. A mixture of good and bad."
"Well, I'm sort of glad there is some sort of balance. However, I do have one more question before we conclude this." Twilight nodded to Starlight as she rolled the parchment into scrolls.
"What is that?"
"Do you ever want to return to you home? Surely you have families back there." Starlight asked.
Like being struck by lightening, we were put with a serious question fo returning home. Drake looks at me then I look at him. He gives me a serious look and I shake my head then he nodded.
"We're not returning home anytime soon. Our families will miss us, for sure, but if we come back with the house. We'll have unwanted attention from the press and overall I think staying here would be the best option." Drake explained.
"Now if you had some sort of way to let our parents know that were fine and dandy, then let us know. A letter and a video message should do the trick so they don't have to go through a double funeral for being pronounced dead." I said.
Twilight tilted her head, "If that is all you wanted then... I'll try my best to do that for you." She looks at us, "Are you sure this is what you guys want?"
We nodded.
"Drake and I agreed if something happened to us and we get teleported to Equestria together, we're not going to leave this once in a lifetime opportunity." I put up my fist for a fist bump.
He smirked, "I can't believe you just remembered that fricken promise." He fist bumps my fist as I sigh.
"You know what Drake, you know what you are?" I look at him with a serious tone.
He squints his eyes a little, "No, what?"
I smiled, "A big loser at Mario party due to two certain princesses."
He playfully grunt, "Well you know what Frank?"
"What?" I asked.
"You're totally right about that." He laughs.
"I'm sorry did I miss something here?" Starlight wondered, "Two princesses?"
The both of us giggled because they didn't know the hidden jokes of human culture. Drake waved his hand, "It's a human thing. Though we could show you what we're talking about tomorrow."
Twilight nodded as she yawned, "Agreed. I feel like hitting the hay for the night. It's been an eventful day."
"It certainly has Twilight, it certainly was." I yawned after her.
Applications, Rivals, and Jobs [Drake]
-Drake's Point of View-
I was having a pleasant dream where I was making dresses with Rarity, but to only wake up to my white ceiling from my bed. I sigh, grabbed my glasses, put them on, and got out of bed. I was wearing my robe and pajama bottoms when I hobbled down the room to the bathroom on my left. I open the medicine cabinet and my eyes widened. My medicine for my bipolar had three pills left. I slapped my forehead and realized that I was meant to pick those up yesterday when I was on Earth.
I groan, "Well, it's going to get interesting in three days..." I say to no one in particular.
I blink to see two bottles being held by a hand, "Your dad was worried that you'd forget about picking up your medicine, so he gave me two bottles worth." Frank said.
I smile, "Thanks, dude," I fill up a cup of water, swallowed my sane pill and downed the cup.
He raises an eyebrow, "How are you able to have tap water?"
Grining, I point downwards, "My dad set up a water tank where if anything happened to the city's water, the tank can hold water for several weeks."
Frank strokes his goat-t, "Really?" He shakes his head, "Your house is full of surprises."
I chuckle, "Yep."
"Does this mean that we can only have five-minute showers?"
I nod, "They're going to be cold as well." I pat his shoulders, "I think we need to speak to the Mayor or Twilight about connecting the water plumbing and electricity to our house."
He grabs his toothbrush and puts Colgate toothpaste on it, "That is if they have such a thing."
"True." I put my crest toothpaste on my toothbrush and joined in on the brushing.
Once we finished our brushing, flossing, and mouthwash, Frank went to the other bathroom for that shower, and I did the same in a different shower room. The house has three bathrooms, one shower room, on full bath and a half bath. Five minutes later, I finished my cold shower and got dressed when I dried off. I checked the clock and it was eight in the morning as I changed into my daily clothing. I grabbed some cereal, milk and an apple for breakfast as I see Frank grabbing his breakfast bar, and an apple.
"Dude, you need to have some cereal," I said while eating.
He shakes his head in disagreement, "Nah, I just need this, plus I'm not hungry around this time of day."
I roll my eyes as I m bowl is half finished, "I forgot that your not a heavy eater in the morning."
He chuckles, "I'm only a heavy eater when I want to be..." Then he snaps his fingers, "We are going to need meat."
The realization hits me, "Fuck.."
"We need jobs."
"Double fuck."
"We're also the only humans here and getting a marefriend might take some time."
I smirk as I bite into my apple, "Well, I can give a fuck or I can 'fuck' around."
He sighs, "You know your hearts for Rarity."
I snicker, "I know."
He continues, "Our soda supply is going to be gone unless we...." He looks in the fridge, "Have one soda per week."
I lean back and burp, feeling satisfied with my breakfast, "We'll have Applejacks cider to replace that."
"Don't you have a solution for everything?"
"Not everything."
"Well, let's try to get our utilities back then we can look for a job, sound good?"
I nod, "Sure. I'm pretty sure I'm set with my job choice."
He gives me a 'really?' expression, "A job under Rarity perhaps?"
"Ding Ding Ding!" I cheer, "Give this man a medal of honor for being my best friend."
"I'm not going to saying anything, but a question: When was the last time you mess with fabric for clothing?"
That made me stop and think, but I stuck out my tongue, "Shut up."
"I'm only saying the obvious."
I nod, "Yep, I know. I'll figure out something."
We both went walked to the Town hall and asked for an appointment with Mayor Mare. A few ponies were looking our way as they passed by in they're daily lives. It was sort of odd being the only humans around in a pony society, it made me feel on edge. Though with my friend here I felt a little better than if I was alone. I pondered about last night when we had the discussion with Princess Twilight about heading back. It came to me once in a while, but overall my decision is final: I'm going to stay here for the rest of my life. "Drake and Frank?" A mare called out and I looked to see Mayor Mare looking at us. We got up and set foot into Mayor Mare's room for the second time.
Frank took the right seat and I took the left. As soon as we sat, Mayor Mare was looking through her paperwork. Then she looks at us with a smile, "What can I do for you two today?"
Frank spoke, "We need to know if you have a plumbing and electric company?"
"We do. Is this about your household?"
I nod, "We need working water and electricity." I scratched the back of my head, "We have water reserves for about a month, but as soon as that runs out we'll be hurting.
The mayor trot the file cabinet next to Frank and pulled out several applications with her teeth. She set them on the desk and slid them forward. "Since your house wasn't built by Equestrians, there might be some issues with water piping and electrical differences. I've dealt with this issue before when Griffons had their home destroyed in their country. We basically gave them permission to build their house and we gave them the utilities. These applications, with a fee, will give you the connections needed towards the end of the month."
"What's the fee?" Frank asked.
"One-Hundred Bits per utility for installing it into your home and it will be fifty bits in total for the use." She explained.
I nod, "It's a good thing too, we're looking for jobs around Ponyville."
"I'm just going to assume that you two are unemployed and for that, I won't charge you until then end of the month. So in total, you'll owe the company Two-Hundred and fifty Bits." She offered.
Frank cleared his throat, "What's the exchange rate for Gold, gems, and diamonds?"
Her ears perked a bit, "The exchange rate for gold or gold jewelry is fifty Bits. As for gems and diamonds, depending on the rarity, they range around Eighty to One Hundred Bits."
I punched Franks fist when he held it up, "Where do we exchange this?"
"Over at the Jewelry store, close to Quills and Sofa's."
Frank read the contents of the application and once he finished, he signed the application with his signature. He pushed it to the side for me to sign it and without reading because I trust my friend reading through the entire page and wouldn't if there were something 'up' with it. The Mayor explained that the utilities will be showing up at our house in three days, specifically in the morning, to establish where the water and electricity connect to the house. I finished signing, we said our farewells to Mayor Mare, grabbed some job applications and we went our separate ways.
I fold up the job applications and put them in my pocket. I walked to the Carousel Boutique, checked for an open sign next to the window and it was there. I walked into the shop, which ducking my head, with a bell chime.
"Coming~!" I hear a cheering voice from the left.
I smiled as I calmed down a bit and kept my composure as I heard Rarity coming this way.
"Oh! Drake, what brings you here?" She asked.
I smile and bow, "As much as I would like to see a beauty as yourself, I have another reason."
She giggles a bit and covered her mouth in a blush, "Oh, you're simply flattering me, darling.."
I wink, "It's the truth after all." I clear my throat, "Since Frank and I were teleported out of our world and put into Equestria, we don't have any sort of jobs."
"Oh dear, that's horrible." She frowns a bit.
I smile, "So, I was hoping to ask you if you have any openings for your Boutique?"
She taps her chin with her hoof, "I do have an opening for an assistant. Just somepony who can take care of papers, taxes, cashier, and a basic manager."
I sigh with relief, 'Thank god, I'm so glad I took those classes on Economics, and Algebra II.' I smile at Rarity, "Well I took classes that are specific to a cashier and taxes. As long as I relearn how the Bits work I should be able to help out no problem."
She smiles, "That sounds wonderful dear. When can you start?"
I look at her and shake my head, "No interview?"
She nods, "Nope. From Twilight, I received Fank and your interviews from last night. I reviewed them and looked them over. I'll be happy for you to be my assistant for the Carousel Boutique."
I lend out my hand and she puts her hoof on my palm. I lean in and kiss it, "Rarity, I would be happy to make your business successful."
Rarity blushed and giggled at my antics, "Oh, such a gentlecolt."
There was a chime to the door and I look to see Spike with wide eye expressions. I smile as I let Rarities hoof down to then see Spike's nostrils blow out smoke. 'Oh, he's mad.' I thought as I continue, "Hello Spike." I waved.
Rarity composed her blushing and happily trots to the drake, "Good morning Spike, how is my little dragon doing?"
He slightly smiles a bit upon seeing Rarity, "I'm... Fine for the moment. Twilight sent me to give you this message." He hands a parchment to her light blue levitation grasp and looked through.
"Oh my." She looks at me, "Drake, it's your friend, Frank."
I raise an eyebrow, "What happened?"
She shows me the parchment and I read aloud, "Frank has been accepted to work under Princess Twilight as her Royal Guard and is undergoing a series of tests to see if he's worthy..." I stood there for a little bit and a smile crept upon my face, "Rarity.... Could you please be a dear and cover your sensitive ears." She did that with a pair of earplugs and covered Spikes ears with her hooves. I took a deep breath and shout. "YEESSSSSSS!!!!!" I jump, shout, and did a victory dance. I took a deep breath and compose myself from being excited. Rarity pulls out her ear plugs and looks to me.
I sigh once more, "Sorry for my outburst Rarity, but I had no choice but to have a mini celebration about Frank's achievement."
She nods, "That's alright Drake. When Twilight became a Princess, I was just overjoyed seeing my best friend becoming Royalty and I was excited that she chose me to design her dress for her coronation. In a way, I understand where you're coming from."
I chuckle, "That's pretty amazing, although, I did see that on the show itself."
"Oh, yes, quite. I forgot that you were watching from afar in your world." She waved her hoof to the side and continued, "Drake, you start tomorrow, eight in the morning till four in the evening." She informs.
I bow, "Of course madam."
Rarity looks at Spike and smiles as she gives him a purple gem, "For your trouble Spike."
"Thank's Rarity." He said as he would give me looks of somewhat anger.
"Now, if you two would excuse me, I have several commissions to finish for the day." She informed and we both walked out of the Boutique. Rarity changed the open sign to the closed sign.
I start to walk away, but Spike spoke up, "I'm not going to lose to you."
I stop and sigh, "Spike, unless you already know, Rarity doesn't know that you like her."
"How do you-" He thinks back to last night, "Right, you and Frank already know."
I turn and kneel down to see eye to eye, "I'm going to get to know Rarity for a few weeks. Then if everything sparks, I'll ask her out. Until then, you have two weeks to tell her how you feel."
He formed his claws into a fist, "I'm waiting for the right moment..."
I look at him sternly, "I've learnt the hard way that there isn't going to be a right moment. Spike, you got to be the older dragon and take it like a gentledrake."
He frowns and holds his breath, "I will not lose to you. Rarity is mine and you can't have her."
I pat his head, "There is a quote in my world which fits this moment, 'Sometimes life isn't fair.' Though I will commend you for giving me a challenge. Again, you have two weeks to speak to her, if not, I'll go and ask her."
Smoke and small pieces of ember come out of his nostrils, "You're on."
I stand up and clear my throat, "Spike, the challenge shall start tomorrow when I start my job. Let the best species win the heart of Rarity." I put out my hand and he shakes it.
"Sure." He grunts.
I leave him to his devices and walk back to the house, but to divert into the local park to find a golden bit on the ground. I pick it up and looked at the designs. At the front was Celestia's cutie mark and at the back was Luna's. I flip the coin and got Celestia when I slapped it on my arm. I sigh as I look at the blue sky and saw a rainbow streak crossing the sky.
I smirk as I shout, "HEY RAINBOW DASH!!!"
Within ten seconds Rainbow's streak turns towards me and stops in front of me, "What's up?"
I chuckle, "Yep, you got here within 10 seconds. Gotten pretty fast, huh?"
She chuckles, "Yeah, I know my awesomeness is improving, but I can't think of a word that is better than awesomeness."
I smile, "How about Awesometacular?"
Rainbow gasps, "That is brilliant!!"
I smirk and wipe my finger against my nose, "It is, isn't?"
She smiles, "So what's the real reason you called me?"
I lay back against the tree, "Want to hang out? I never got to chat with you at the party."
"That is true, you talked to everypony equally, but I had to leave early because the Wonderbolts needed me for a check up."
"Physical or drug check up?"
"Eh, they do both."
Rainbow and I continued our conversation for quite awhile. In fact, we were both laying out on the hill talking about my world, and what Rainbow did when she was a filly (Except the parts from what Frank and I saw). Then it Rainbow said something that caught my attention.
"When I saw you had Rarity's cutie mark on your little device, I kind of knew that you had some sort of thing for her."
I close my eyes, "You're perceptive as ever Rainbow and I can tell you this, I will never harm her in any way."
"Oh, you don't have to worry. I heard what you and Spike are doing while I was waking up from my nap."
I open my left eye, "Oh really? Then you're going to be a witness then?"
"If things get too serious then I will end this foolishness."
I sigh, "Fair enough." I smirked, "Bet you can't find Frank's crush."
She hums for a bit, "After talking with Frank last night, he's sort of hard to read."
"Ah, so you've sensed it too?"
"You mean you know something is up?"
"Yes and no. Rainbow, Frank has a rough past and he shared it with me. It's quite painful, but now that were here, I hope that he doesn't experience that again."
"Something happened for him to be somewhat unreadable?"
I sit up and look up into the sky, "Yes Dash, but it's not my place to spill something personal from him. It would break our friendship for awhile."
I look at her and she was curled up in a ball when looking at me, "Yeah, I won't pry on you, but I can with Frank, right?"
I cross my arms, "You can, but you never heard it from me."
She chuckles, "Sure, sure." Then perks up, "Wait... Frank got a job as a Royal Guard now so it must be Starlight."
I start to laugh at her guess and she puffs out her cheeks, "Not even close."
She taps her hoof against the grass floor, her mouth opens to say something, but thinks again.
"Having a tough time thinking about it?" 'It's the easiest thing to guess and yet she isn't getting it.' I thought.
"Applejack?"
"Nah."
"Fluttershy?"
"Nope."
"Pinkie Pie?"
I shake my head.
She blushes, "M-me?"
I sigh, "No Dash, but you come in second on his favorite character list."
"Drat." She pounds the ground with her two forehooves, then it finally clicks into her head, "Oh! It's Twilight."
"Ding Ding Ding, give this mare a prize."
"What? A prize! What do I get?" Her eyes are widened and I pat her head.
"There you go, now what do you think about Frank getting together withTwilight?" I asked.
"It's probably not going to work."
I raise an eyebrow, "Why's that?"
"He's going to be a guard and she can't be with him because she is Royalty."
I chuckle to that and she looks at me with her head tilted, "What did I say?"
"Technically, Twilight isn't Royalty. Her family isn't royalty, they're commoners, plus I think that every mare should choose who their lover should be."
"You sure about that?"
I look at her with a stern face, "I don't think there is a law like that. One that prevents Twilight to marrying who makes her happy."
she starts laughing, "Man, I was only kidding. You've got to lighten up a bit."
I give a light smile, "Frank and I don't personally take jokes as jokes, we take them seriously. The world that we lived in got rid of being carefree."
Her ears droop a bit, "That sucks big time."
I pet Rainbow Dash's mane a bit, "Don't worry. With time, well be our carefree selves in no time." I yawn a bit, "What time is it?"
She looks at the sky, "Probably afternoon."
"Want to get some lunch?"
Rainbow smirks, "Yeah, I'm a bit peckish."
"How about we head to my house and I'll show you a human dish?"
"Sounds great."
