The sun shined beautifully down upon the quiet farm of Sweet Apple Acres, as a familiar purple duo went along searching for apples. A small dragon was examining apples, searching for the perfect one to snack on.
“No. Nope. Nope…..”
The princess of Friendship, Twilight Sparkle, sighed as her assistant Spike threw apples away like they were trash in his search for perfection. Alongside the two was an orange mare, sporting a cowboy hat as she helped gather apples.
“Thank you kindly, Twilight, for helping me out. I bet Big McIntosh I could get all these Golden Delicious in the barn by lunchtime. If I win, he's gonna walk down Stirrup Street in one of Granny's girdles. Heehehee….”
“No problem at all, Applejack. I'm glad the goal is lunchtime. All this hard work is making me hungry.”
Spike ignored the mare’s growling stomach, laying on his friend’s back like a lounge chair.
“I know, right?”
“Ooh-wee, Spike. You've been lounging on my back all morning while we worked.”
“Exactly. You two are taking so long, I missed snack-time.”
The young mare was prepared to let the little dragon have what for, but was more concerned with her growling stomach.
“Eh, I guess we better get some food.”
Spike was ignoring her, still searching for a good snack.
“Nope. Worm. A-ha!”
In his hands was a bright, shiny apple, just waiting to be devoured. Twilight’s eyes glowed in awe, eager to have it for herself.
“Oh Spike, that looks delicious.”
Before the phrase, “can I have it,” could be offered, the next thing she knows, the dragon was devouring the apple like there was no tomorrow.
“Spike!”
“What”
The shouting was about to commence, before the dragon releases a huge belch of green fire, summoning a scroll before the trio. Twilight uses her magic to pick it up, happy to see who it was from.
“It's a letter from Princess Celestia.”
Spike quickly grabs the letter and opens it, coughing a few times to clear his throat before talking like a fancy pants.
“Hear ye, hear ye. Her Grand Royal Highness, Princess Celestia of Equestria, is pleased to announce the Grand Galloping Gala to be held in the magnificent capital city of Canterlot, on the 21st day of, eh, yadda yadda yadda, cordially extends an invitation to Twilight Sparkle plus one guest.”
Both mares gasped in shock, realizing exactly how big this event really was. The event of all of Equestria!
“The Grand Galloping Gala! The Grand Galloping Gala! Woo-hoo!”
As the two ponies began running around in excitement, Spike belches out the tickets, shining in a golden glow.
“Look, two tickets!”
“Wow, great! I've never been to the gala…….wait a minute……hold on….just hold on a second. Oh Celestia! I knew something seemed familiar! This has already happened!”
The excitement turned to silence, as Applejack and Spike began to look around, realizing exactly what they were doing.
“Gosh darn it……she’s right!”
Spike began scratching his head, looking at the gala tickets then back at Twilight.
“Ok, I’m confused Twi, and I think I can understand why. You’re just so excited about the gala that you’re kinda losing your marbles Twi. It’s the gala, and I know its not my thing but….”
“No Spike! This has all happened already! You and I came here to help AJ, we got that note with the tickets, then I couldn’t decide who wanted to go!”
Applejack grabbed one of the tickets and looked at her barn with the look of severe confusion, unable to process what was happening.
“I remember everything. I got up, had a nice breakfast, then me and Mac had that same argument about the apples. Then we made that stupid bet and you two came to visit.”
“Exactly! Then Rainbow Dash fell out of that tree! Wait…uh oh…”
At that moment, the blue Pegasus slipped out of the tree, landing straight on top of Twilight.
“Are we talking about the Grand Galloping Gala?”
“NO WE’RE NOT! NOW GET OFF ME!”
Dash hated it when Twilight gets mad. She always acts so crazy when angry. She quickly gets off her friend, confused on what’s happening.”
“Someone needs a nap, Ms. Grumpy. Like I was having.”
“Hey wait, you said you were too busy to help me harvest apples!”
“Well I was busy napping. Does that count?”
“Rainbow Dash, you were busy napping six years ago! Don’t you get it? You’re reliving the same day just as we were! I got the tickets for the gala and you came down from that tree, wanting the extra ticket!”
“Are you gonna give me that ticket? Because I heard the Wonderbolts are there! That would be so awesome! They perform there every year! Everyone would be watching the sky. Their eyes riveted on the Wonderbolts, but then in would fly Rainbow Dash!”
Twilight’s hoof met her face, as AJ lets out a sigh.
“I would draw my attention with…”
“Sugercube, you would draw their attention with your super speed strut!”
Rainbow stopped visualizing the event, staring at AJ with a confused look of awkwardness.
“Ummm……yeah….that’s exactly what I would do….but then…then I would…”
“mesmerize 'em with your Fantastic Filly Flash.”
Dash turned over to Twilight, rubbing her hoof against her forehead.
“Twi……can you read minds now? Cause I was gonna say that, and a lot cooler than you did!”
Spike sat on Dash’s back, finishing this before she went back to her day dreaming.
“And for your grand finale, the Buccaneer Blaze. The ponies would go wild.”
“Girls! Spike! Have you three been spying on me!?! And how!?! I LIVE IN A CLOUD!”
“Twilight, you’re right. I can still remember the taste of those tickets the first time I belched them out of me.”
“Hold on! WHAT THE HAY IS GOING ON HERE!?!”
“Calm down! I told you, we’re somehow reliving the day the exact same way we did when I got those gala tickets six years ago. Each of us is doing everything exactly the same as before!”
“Wait a minute, oh my gosh! I remember now! We hoof wrestled for those tickets! But…come on now, this is just crazy, couldn’t this all just be a coincidence?”
“Really sugarcube? How was your morning?”
“Well I woke up, ate some breakfast, was suppose to go to work, but I came here instead.”
“You read the Daring Do book like you do every morning?”
“Why would I do that? Reading is for eggheads like…….”
Dash was so shocked at the realization, her wings extended quickly in shock.
“Something seriously is wrong, ponies.”
“Spike, send a letter to Princess Celestia to meet at the Caste of Friendship.”
“You mean the library? Cause I remember waking up in my old bed.”
“Wait what now?”
Twilight ran into town as fast as she could, with AJ and Dash behind her. They soon came to a stop, jaws dropped to see the beautiful library before them once again in its glory before Tirek ever even touched it.
“The Library….”
“It’s back…”
Dash stomped her hooves in anger before releasing a disturbingly low scream.
“WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS CRAZY TOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!?!”
Oh Rainbow Dash, temper temper. You’ll find out soon enough. Oh dear, I shouldn’t be talking now should I? The narrator should stick to the story. The narrator should never break out of character, and the narrator certainly shouldn’t break the fourth wall….or should he? Oh My Little Repeats…My little Repeats…..Haaa..Haaaaa….HAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!

Oh this is going to be fun! Hi every pony! Lets make this group go mad with chaos, shall we?
The three ponies and the little dragon waited quietly in the library, awkwardly waiting for Princess Celestia to appear. Twilight was ready to pull her mane apart, unable to cope with this much longer.
“Where is she!?! The longer I stay in this crazy place the longer my tail twirls!”
“This really isn’t such a big deal, Twilight.”
Twilight looks over at Spike with an annoyed glare. Her right eye was twitching, grinding on her teeth as she walks over to her assistant slowly.
“Really Spike? NOT A BIG DEAL!?!”
Rainbow Dash and Applejack slowly back away from Twilight, knowing what’s about to happen.
“Don’t you get it, Spike? All the memories, all our adventures, my Alicorn Abilities, everything that symbolized our friendships is just….GONE!”
In seconds, her whole body lights up in flaming rage, causing Spike to hide under a stack of books that collapsed on top of him when he hits the shelf in fear.
“Twilight…..just…calm down, ok?”
“Oh no…”
“Sugarcube, you shouldn’t have said that.”
“CALM DOWN? EVERYTHING I CARED FOR IS GONE AND YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN!”
Suddenly, the door opens in a glowing shine of light, as a tall Alicorn approached the three ponies, happy to see Princess Celestia in her glory.
“I got your letter. Said something was wrong?”
Twilight was suddenly calm, running over to Celestia like she hadn’t seen her in centuries. She grabs onto her leg, still in a state of crazed stress.
“EVERYTHING HAS GONE WRONG! PRINCESS, FOR SOME REASON, EVERYTHING WE CARED ABOUT WAS SUDDENLY FORGOTTEN! WE’RE LIVING IN A REPEAT OF A FORMER DAY!”
“Uhhhhh…..its good to see you too?”
“WHAT DO WE DO!?!”
After Celestia managed to pry Twilight off her leg, she sighed in relief, glad she could even still feel it.
“Now….can you repeat what she just said, but a little more calmly?”
So Applejack decided to tell the Princess of their problems, from awaking with no memory at all of the adventures they’ve had, to repeating the day exactly the same as it was before. For some reason, Celestia didn’t seem surprised, walking over to the window to see the old houses that were still intact before Lord Tirek destroyed them.
“That explains a lot. No wonder I can’t find my sister. I thought she was just being a pain in my flank and ignoring me again.”
“Then where is she?”
“Rainbow, don’t you remember? Before Luna overcame Nightmare Moon, she was banished to the moon!”
“Oh yeah, wow, can’t believe I couldn’t remember that.”
“That’s another thing, Princess Celestia. What in tarnation is up with our noggins?”
Celestia walks over to a nearby book shelf and looks through the spell section. She finds an old children’s book of spell for new parents and places it on the table.
“Spells for the screaming Fillies? What the hay does this have to do with anything?”
Celestia ignores Rainbow Dash, turning to page forty-three in the book, showing a spell labeled, “Reset, sleep, repeat.”
“You see, this spell was originally used to block any bad memory that caused a tantrum for little fillies, making them think the memory never happened. But for it to be used in all of Equestria, and to block so much memories for every pony in sight, it would require a lot of magic.”
What the princess had said managed to snap Twilight’s senses back in place, no longer wanting to scream her problems away.
“But…the library….its all….”
“Twilight, this isn’t your library.”
“Wait…what?”
“I’m surprised you couldn’t tell. I mean, of course it looks like the library, but all these books are different. I mean, how do you think I spotted this book so easily? It’s from the royal Canterlot library. Look, there’s even the silver seal on the cover.”
The Canterlot Library symbol was stamped on the cover of the book to show it was their property. Things were now starting to make sense, or make the small group of ponies even more confused than ever.
“Then….where is my castle!?!”
“Uhhhh Twi, one problem at a time please?”
“AJ is right, Twilight. Right now, we need to focus on who in Equestria would even bother to do something so ludicrous and annoying.”
“I don’t know about you four, but I’d bet my left wing that Discord is behind all this.”
“Discord has turned over a new leaf, Rainbow Dash. Sure he still goofs around with a little chaos, here and there, but would never bother to do something so crazy like this.”
“To tell you the truth, I never did trust Discord. Sure he was hilarious with some pranks and jokes, but I mean…come on!”
“Wait….Discord…….oh no.”
In a flash of light, Princess Celestia was gone, as Twilight quickly realized where the Princess had disappeared to.
“GIRLS! SPIKE! THIS WAY NOW!”
The four run out of the library as fast as they can, before making their way outside of town to see Celestia in shock, seeing a stone draconequus covered in dirt and hay.
“He’s…he’s stone again.”
“Of course he was…..when we went to the Gala…great tarnation…..this crazy magic has even affected him!”
“Ok, so I was wrong. But you gotta admit, it was a fair guess.”
Princess Celestia examined the stoned Discord carefully, making sure it truly was him imprisoned within it.
“Every feature is exactly the same. This…This is Discord.”
“Should we set him free.”
“That wouldn’t be a good idea. If Discord was hit by the spell, he’ll just return to his former self, wishing to spread chaos once again. We can’t take that chance.”
On their way back to the library, the mane three, Spike, and Celestia were presented with a blaze of confetti, a pink mare began jumping around them in pure happiness.
“Hi everypony! Isn’t today a super duper extra special fun day?”
“Uhhh….Pinkie….do you have any idea what’s going on here?”
Twilight had to test this. She and her friends were users of the elements of harmony. If there’s a chance anyone can still remember what’s going on, its someone as mad happy as Pinkie Pie.
“Well of course! Today is the day that something super amazing will happen!”
“And what is that, specifically, Pinkie Pie?”
“Don’t know yet, but whatever goes on, I’ll be ready for it!”
Ok, this was obviously no help to them. Still strange. I wonder if she knows I’m narrating this. Hmmm…I guess we’ll find out later….
