We were all scared as the giant pony that was nicknamed "The Nemesis" by all the other ponies, I don't know why though but I think it's a book thing? I was never good at reading books since my 'problem' limited me to a few things, but I still tried to read when I had a chance. I walked with Apple Bloom and listened to how she tried to guess what would happen next, which ranged from extremely unlikely to possible. She started with dinosaurs rising from the ground to the Nemesis coming and destroying our entire group. I wanted to know when we would get Appleloosa as I wanted to determine how long we would be there. I looked around but I couldn't see anything that looked too dangerous. I went into my head and started to day dream.

We had been walking since last night and haven't stopped since, as we were all terrified by the nemesis. I was hoping he would never show up again, so that way we could worry about less important things like medicine, food, and water. At the rate we were going, Vinyl would die from infection of her cut. I caught up to Dark, as he had taken the lead back in Canterlot.

"Dark, we need to get someplace quick. Everypony is getting sick from malnourishment and dehydration, and Vinyl is gonna drop dead if we don't get her some antibiotics," I told the dark stallion. He looked at me and I knew that something was wrong as his eyes were a dark black and were bleeding profusely. I told the group to stop and called Redheart to come help me.

"What's wrong Pinkie, why did we stop," she asked me and I pointed to Dark. She looked at him and laid him on the ground. "When was he infected?"

"I don't know, he didn't tell me," I told her. Dark began to convulse on the ground and coughed up a gallon of blinding white blood. "Why is his blood white, isn't the infection supposed to make it pitch black?"

"Yes, but I guess he must be fighting it hard, and is winning," she told me with a slight smirk on her face, but her face went from a look of hope to sheer terror as Dark stood up and stared at her. He cocked his head to the side and opened his mouth to speak, but all you could hear was a low guttural, painful moan. He charged at her and she dodged his attack, and flew to the left. He stopped when he slammed into the wall and dropped to the ground in a dead-ish state. I walked over to him and poked him with a stick. I dropped the stick and turned to have seen that Nurse Redheart had split her head open with a sharp rock, and a pool of blood had already formed under her. I shook her, but I already knew she was dead, from the lack of her chest heaving. I sat and cried for a minute, only a loud boom coming from behind the group. I told the group to keep moving, and we continued moving.

I was in so much pain right now, I was trying to keep my body from attacking anypony, but I was losing the battle over the control of my body. I threw myself at Nurse Redheart, only to miss and slam into the side of a mountain and knock myself into a lifeless hump, even though I wasn't dead, but the virus somehow managed to "kill" itself from the powerful collision with the half iron half stone and dirt wall. I felt Pinkie poke me with a stick and I heard her give up after a few more pokes. I laid and tried to get up and move, but my whole body hurt and my mind was more numb than my hooves. I was finally able to move my head a little a get a small look around. I noticed that it was now nightfall and my friends were all gone, except Redheart.

I walked over to her lifeless body and got rid of the birds that were nibbling on parts of her body. The pony that I used to know was now a carcus on the side of the street, minus an eye and a few limbs. I continued on the path that I had been guiding my group along for a while. I didn't know how long I had been laying there I could have been there for days, weeks, or even months. I was now scared for my friends and myself. I decided that I should wait for morning to continue as anything coul attack me in the position I was in now. I found a low hanging tree and climbed in and laid on a branch.

I awoke in the middle of the day and continued on my way towards Appleloosa where my friends have hopefully stopped their journey, or atleast died trying. I walked for what seemed like an eternity, but I could finally see what I hoped was Appleloosa. I saw a fortress surrounding an old country like town, that was more modern, but I didn't care as I continued walking towards the castle. I approached the walls of the fortress that looked like it had took forever to build. I walked to the front gate only to be shot at, by what sounded like a high power rifle. I ran behind a tree and hoped that they wouldn't send their army out to execute me. I heard the gate open and saw a cowboy walk out with a pistol in his magic grip pointed at me.

"Come out nice and slow now you here," I heard him say and I came out really slowly to only be shot in the leg and fall to the ground.

"What have you done," I heard a mare say. Her voice sounded very familiar, but I couldn't place where I had heard from. I looked up through teary eyes to see Vinyl Scratch with a scar going down her back left flank and down her leg. I wanted to cry more knowing that she was alive, as she was the one that was in most trouble in my group. I saw her run over to me and pick me up and ordered the cowboy that shot me to help her. I was carried inside by the two and brought to the hospital that they had put together. I noticed Dr. Whooves at a desk working on some very articulate drawings or blue prints of this weird box thing that was impossible to build as it was bigger on the inside then on the outside, but I didn't care. I was laid on a bed and saw Sweetie Belle, come over with a tray and medical suplies. I was put to sleep right before they took the bullet out of my leg, but I over heard Sweetie say that it hit a major artery and I was lossing a lot of blood, very quickly.
