Now, how can I start this…
“Argh! Ge-get the… HELL OFF ME!” My story is a bit of a weird one… not sure what is real and what isn’t… no one really knows. My life now is just a mystery, left to fate to toy with. “AHH! GET OFF!” And the more I keep trying to remember it all the more I realize that something seemed off. Like there is always something missing when I remember. And now even more so I feel like something is still wrong, something is not right… With this darkness pulling me away from the one thing I destroyed it for… my exit. The shadows where grabbing my arms and legs and my chest and pulling me into the abyss. If you think I am being metaphorical, you’d be wrong. At this point in the story I am literally being pulled by Shadows into a black void, all ‘cause I ended up in the wrong place and somehow was chosen by it. I still wonder why “It” chose me, I guess I can try and remember one more time… one more time before the Shadows control me…
Act 1
It was a very sunny day in Denver, Colorado. I was home with my two best friends. We we’re sitting on the couch and watching the News. There was talk of more protesters, protesting about doing magic ‘experiments’ on helpless people… forcefully. You see the world I lived in was in a state of mistrust, to say the least. And the world I lived in was a world where magic, mystical creatures, demons, angels, etc… actually existed. As the years went on and technology developed, so did the magic. People wanted a better understanding of magic and how it was evolving with mankind. They wanted to learn more so naturally they tested it.. on people.
“I swear, the world gets crazier every fucking year.” I said as I turned off the TV not wishing to watch another second of the broadcast.
“What’d you expect? People always wanna know more at any cost, and we can’t do much to stop it, even the president thinks it’s right.”
“Well he’s a dumbass” Damion added in after Will finished his sentence. The year was 2043 and me and my friends still didn’t know how we or anyone in america was alive. Our current president was President Pike Bay. He seemed like he was the only logical person during election, look how wrong we were. Pike thinks everything he does is the right thing and he claims that he thinks he is the best president america has ever had. Apparently he has never heard of Abraham Lincoln or JFK and others like them. “Yeah if the things he does is soooooo right then why the hell are we locked in a damn war with our own damn country?!” After a few years of Pike being in office he started pissing people off. And he actually was making some people happy. He actually noticed this and when people started getting violent over it. Pike ordered that something be down, and the people who hated him. Were seen as traitors. Anyone that participated in a riot or anything violent or directed towards him were imprisoned or killed. Naturally people got upset and formed a rebellion. Me and my friends, we hate the guy but we aren’t stupid. Damion took a long drink of his beer he had then looked at Will “Wanna show him?” I gave them a confused look. Will didn’t look at Damion when he asked his question, nor did he look at him when he replied.
“Why the hell not.” Damion told me to wait there and they both ran off towards their rooms. Neither of them stopped when I asked what they were talking about. They came back with a large crystal ball and set it on the table.
“What’s this for?”
“You know how we always talked about different worlds?” Another thing to note about these two is that they are the only two of my friends who have had any type of… let’s call it… ‘Magical’ encouters. Damion, as a kid, was haunted by a spirit named Ghost. The spirit would tell him things and order him to kill. One time he did. I won’t go into details but it hurt him, after a few years Damion learned to keep Ghost under control, somewhat. Damion says Ghost talks to him but so far nothing bad has happened. Will on the other hand has seen ghosts, angels, demons, and even other worlds. Damion has seen demons, angels, and ghosts. But Will has seen other worlds. He has always talked about trying to get a way to visit one but hasn’t really told me much.
“Remember how I had an idea about how to visit them?” I nodded in response, thats when Will and Damion looked at eachother then back at me. “I’ve figured it out.” I tilted my head in confusion and curiosity. “I… found… some of those little containers they keep raw magic in and messed around with it. I used it on this orb and with this, you can visit any world you want. Just by touching this orb and thinking of it.” My eyes widened and my jaw dropped.
“Will, this is awesome!” He nodded his head in agreement.
“I know, we wanted you to try it out, since me and Damion have both tried.” Will moved the ball over to me. “Soooo...” Will pulled out a large, glowing, multi color, cylinder and placed the ball on it. When he did the ball began to glow like a rainbow. “Now, think of any world, and put your hand on the ball.”
“What should I think of?”
“Anything” Damion replied
“A happy place” Will added
“Can you guys see me when I enter?” They both shook their head then Will spoke up
“You will still be here in kind of a coma like state and only you can see the world you’re in.” I looked at the ball
“It’s safe right?” The both nodded, but said nothing else. “Here it goes I guess.” I closed my eyes and thought of a place that made me happy. Being the weird 27 year old I am, I thought back to my childhood cartoons, that I still watched to this day. One however stood out among the rest, one happier than the others… I put my hand on the ball then I could see it… I opened my mouth and spoke “Wow, it’s working...”
“Huh, funny, it knocked me and Damion out...” The words Will said did bother me as I was to wrapped up in seeing the green fields and bright colored houses of a place called Ponyville. The smile on my face was so big it almost hurt. Then something went wrong… the clear skies that were around me vanished and were replaced by a thick cloud of darkness. I could hear the residents screaming as I saw these black monsters fall from the skies and attack the residence of Ponyville. Seconds passed then I heard a voice say...
“We are here...” My eyes flew open and I screamed.
“What the hell happened!” before I could answer or anyone else could speak up the ball turned from it’s pretty rainbow glow it a black glow of despair. A beam of black light shot out from the ball towards the door and then a hole of darkness appeared, black ropes shot out from the hole and grabbed onto me.
“What the-!” The ropes dragged me towards the hole and Damion and Will grabbed me, but no matter their efforts, they couldn’t stop whatever was pulling me in. I screamed as the ropes quickly pulled me in and then… poof. The hole and me were both gone…
When I opened my eyes I could see the world around me. Black sky, dead grass, and black monsters surrounding me. I looked around at the monsters and it seemed as if each was made of some kind of black smoke.
“W-What are you?! What do you want?!” A tall black figure walked up and spoke.
“We are the shadows, and you my dear boy. Just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.” His voice was low and, somehow, wise sounding. “I felt your soul trying to connect to another world like this so.. I took the opportunity to have another… pawn.” As he said that another tall monster whose smoke made him look like he was wearing a robe walked towards me. I tried moving backwards but as I did more monsters pushed forward blocking my escape. The robe like creature held out it’s hand so I could see it’s black smoky palm and a purple dot began to form. As he got closer the dot got bigger. The creature who spoke began to chuckle “Oh, you will make a fine member of our lovely team..” Finally the robe creature let out a ray of some kind of magic at me and before it hit me, I stuck my hand out as if my hand could deflect the beam of purple magic, then, a blinding flash of light appeared and I hear the same creature yell “What?!” after that… I blacked out…
After that, I woke up in a little country styled room. The room had some candles and many pictures depicting what I could only assume was the family of this house, and I could see what looked like a Anthro-Apple Family. I set my eyes towards the door, and there sitting down and watching me, was Big Macintosh, he hand his signature red fur and he had a very bulky body. His arms were crossed and he had what I assumed was a piece of straw in his mouth.Big Mac was also wearing heavy looking Armour with what I assumed to be a large hammer on his back. When I looked at him, he quickly chuckled then stood up, I stared at him before speaking what I had wanted to say as soon as I entered this world.
“This all better be some kind of really bad trip...”
Author's Note
Alright, say hello to an idea I've had in my head for a little over a couple days. The main idea behind this is that there is an evil entity trying to become the most powerful being in the universe. So it finds it has the power to take over other universes and is slowly taking over them all.
Yeah, since I can't come up with my own worlds (as I have planed to at least have the main character visit a little over 29 worlds) I will be using the setting from other stories, Tumblr blogs, and animations (series) as help to set the plot of this story in motion. I have ideas for non-story, Tumblr blog, and animation (series) related worlds that revolved around a set theme. Like futuristic, dystopian, or horror. I have a google doc with character, enemy, and world info relating to this story. I'll have that linked in the story description. (PS as the story go on and things develop, so will the GDoc.)
Anyway this chapter is really just to see who likes the idea. and I really wanted to do something with this idea.
Also, those who are wandering why the Gdoc is filled with question marks is because I am not just gonna give away everything. Everytime something new is added to the story something new is either added or reveled in the Gdoc
