Chapter 1:(Don't) Buy stuff from the Merchant (Remake)
I found myself surrounded by darkness from all sides. I had no idea what happened.
Then it hit me like a train. The Merchant, the guns and blackening out. What the hell actually happened?!
”You are finally awoken, my master.” I froze as I heard a feminine voice which sounded somehow evil. Slowly turning around, I saw a woman with blood stained yellow uniform, blonde hair, crimson red eyes, shadow-like left arm and a bit of a sly look in her eyes. She was spitting image of Seras Victoria!
“AHHH!” I yelped in fear and fell on my back trying to crawl away. She seemed amused.
”Fear not, my master. I mean you no harm. It’s not like I could even hurt you.” she said. I reluctantly stood up, still keeping my distance.
“Are you really Seras Victoria?” I asked her and she smirked.
”Yes, I am. I know what are you thinking. What happened to you? I have an answer for you.” she spoke, placing her hands on her hips. I tilted my head to the right.
“You do?! Tell me!” I shouted, grabbing her shoulders. She frowned.
”Would you mind?” she hissed.
“What?”
”Hands.” she replied dryly. I made “oh” sound and took a step back.
”The thing that happened to you had happened to many others. You became a displaced, a person who bought some thing to complete their costumes for Comic Con. You got the looks and all powers and abilities of Alucard. If you don’t believe me, check yourself out.” she said and a full-body mirror appeared out of nowhere next to her.
My eyes widen like dinner plates at what I saw.
My face wasn’t my face anymore, it was truly Alucard’s!
”Oh, didn’t you notice that your voice sounded different or the fact that you look gigantic compared to me?” she questioned.
“My voice?” I murmured and indeed, it sounded just like Alucard’s!
I then looked at Seras. I indeed looked gigantic for Seras barely reached to my chest. I then gave her a puzzled look.
“What are you also a displaced?” I asked her. She smirked.
”Quite I am. Unfortunately, I destroyed my world since I couldn’t control my hunger. However, with the curse of Princess Luna, I am forever bound to Astral Realm, so I go around and sometimes help displaced such as you.”
“Princess Luna? What world am I currently in?”
”You are currently sleeping and this is Dream Realm. Physically, you are in the world of Equuis, land of Equestria.”
“Equestria? Isn’t that an imaginary land from that kid show “My Little Pony”?” I questioned, recognising the names. My younger sister liked to watch the show a loooot~ and I inevitably learnt many things about it. However, another thing reached my mind.
“You said I possed all of Alucard’s powers and abilities?”
”Yes, you have every single power and ability which pre-Schrödinger Alucard posses, even more than that.” she noticed me giving her a confused look.
”I’m sure you watched “Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust”, right?” she asked and I nodded. It is my favorite animated movie.
”You will have the abilities of baron Meier Link, like the ability to shift your coat in a pair of bat wings and use them as weapons, make metal claws and ability to see in all EM field of vision. You will also have the sword of the Sacred Ancestor.” my jaw dropped as she explained it.
”You will also get Alucard’s lack of empathy.”
“What do you mean, lack of empathy?”
”As the king of vampires, you will have to consume fresh blood in order to keep yourself forever young for if you don’t drink blood for extended period of time, you will slowly grow weaker and older until you become a corpse and enter the hibernation. The lack of empathy will allow you to drink without any doubt of guilt.” she answered, moving small lock of her hair behind her ear.
”Oh and just to say, you will have all 3.424.867 souls which Alucard possessed with the ability to take their skills and experience whenever you want, even to talk to them if you are bored.
Here comes the best part. You will be resistant to soul based attacks and the bullets in your weapons will change the material they’re made of depending on the weaknesses of your opponent. If you are fighting Superman, the bullets will become those of Kryptonite. If you are fighting Ghost Rider, they will become those of Heavenly metal. You can even change them to rubber or taser bullets.”
“Wow, that makes me totally invincible.” I noted.
”Not really. If you are still mortally wounded you will still lose one soul at the time. If you are struck with soul-reaping weapon or by holy- or hellfire you will again lose one soul at the time. You will also be very vulnerable in Level 0.”
I nodded at her calmly while I was screaming like excited school girl.
”I can’t believe this! This is a dream come true! I will finally be the character I admired so. Oh, I can’t wait to test my powers!”
“Which reminds me, how do I wake up?”
”Oh, I will wake you up. Good luck and have fun~” she replied seductively while blowing me a kiss. Soon, I found myself getting dizzy.
Real world:
I felt something wet pressing against my face. I opened my eyes and found myself lying in the path of a brook. I grabbed nearby rock to stand up. However, not used to my superhuman strength, I pressed on the rock to hard and it smashed, making me splash in the brook yet again.
Groaning, I stood up and looked at small cut on my palm. It was painless and healed in the matter of seconds.
“Well, that’s handy.” I muttered. I looked around to see where I was.
I was in some forest apparently. I was surrounded by trees from every side, except on the stone ground of the brook. My coffin was on the grass to my right.
I decided to see do my supernatural senses work. Concentrating, I tried to use my Third eye.
It actually worked! I could see in total 360° all around me and through the trees at least 1 km in the distance!
Then, I saw a woman. Well, anthro pony woman with a cloak and stripes. A zebra. Zecora, I think her name was.
She was fighting with what I remember is manticore and she seemed pinned in a corner.
Not wasting any time, I turned around and decided to see if my new powers can get me there fast.
I concentrated and almost immediately turned into a swarm of bats. Huh, it was easier than I thought it would be. Ironically, I could “see” through all their eyes and control each one individually. I felt awesome!
Quicker than I thought it would take, I found myself circling above the shaman and the beast.
“Begone, creature of Everfree! You will not make a meal out of me!” I heard her shout in her rhyming tone. However, she was pinned to a tree, so it didn’t sound much intimidating.
I reconstructed myself while still in the air and graceful landed behind maticore. Zecora immediately noticed me.
“Please, help me!” she pleaded. The manicore caught my smell and turned around… just in time I pulled out Casull and shot it in the forehead with my Vampire Accuracy.
“Thank you for your help, although I don’t prefer manticore dead.” she thanked as the manticore fell dead on the ground.
I put on a kind smile as I removed my fedora and put it on my chest, bowing and kissing her cutie mark which was on the back of her hand.
“It was my pleasure. My name is Alucard, by the way.” I said as straightened up and gave her a wink. It may seems strange and weird because I’m flirting with an anthro zebra, but I can vouch, it’s truly one gorgeous sight to behold.
Zecora blushed at that and smiled.
“My, my, you are quite a gentleman, Alucard. My name is Zecora. Um, may I ask what you are?” she asked in a non-rhyming tone which made me raise an eyebrow.
“Of course, Zecora. I am a vampire.” I answered with a grin, causing my teeth to become jagged.
Her eyes widen in fear as she tried to step backward, but was blocked by the tree.
“Relax, I’m not going to hurt you. If I wanted to, I would have done it immediately after I killed the manticore.” I assured her. She seemed to ease up before giving me a confused look.
“How are you then able to walk in the sunlight?” she asked as she saw that I was in a direct way of sunlight.
“Oh, it’s because I’m the King of Vampires.” I replied as-a-matter-of-factly. She started at me for a few seconds.
“WHAAAAT?!”
