Hero of Chaos, A Select Your Own Endeavor Story

        You manage to crack open your rusty eyes open and view the cyan blue sky above you whilst a cool light breeze as it caressed your form. You slowly rise albeit shakily as you get your balance and try to get your bearings. A pair blue jeans, a plain white t-shirt, a pair of plain sneakers. You look at the pleasantly green earth leading off towards a peaceful little hamlet of sorts, you can't really make out the residents from this distance, a foreboding forest also piques your interest as your sense of adventure and curiosity calls out to you.

        A great majestic castle loomed above all the land as it lay perched among the mountain top. You take deep calm breaths as you gather your wits about you as you contemplate where you shall go first in this strange new world.  You feel a prescence around you as a small equine creature materializes, her brown coat and black mane with blue eyes filled with joy, "Hiya master! I'm Avallt, I'm your spirit pal to guide and help you". You were dumbfounded but you couldn't find any words but instead give the mare a nod as you set off in a direction. Avallt trotted happily alongside you as she grinned merrily giving you a pip in your step from the upbeat aura of your jovial companion. You crack a smile and ruffle her long mane as she hums in satisfaction at your touch, she was like a dog, but twice as smart and three times as cute.

       Wait, did you have a dog before? You couldn't recall any personal memories and your head ached and pounded as you tried to remember something, anything. You recalled general knowledge but you had nothing particular you knew in memory. You sigh and shake your noggin as the haze on your mind faded away. You enjoyed traveling in no particular direction but soon your stomach bellowed a loud groan as it requested some form of sustenance, Since Avallt was some kind of familiar of sorts you instruct to find something to eat as you seat yourself by a lone dead tree of solid and thick wood. You wait patiently for a small while until the mare returns with a few apples and some berries, to which you praise her and go split the food between her and yourself as you both munch on your fruit in silence and savor the crisp crunch of the apple and the taste of the succulent berries.

      Soon the sun descended beyond the horizon as the two of you hold together for warmth against the cold night, her coat was soft as velvet she smelled of roses or some other kind of flower you surmise but she sighed contently as you too as well to rest your tired bones as fireflies illuminate the darkness and racket of nocturnal insects tickles your ears as you start to slowly drift as you take in the scent of your companion, you feel as though you should be asking many questions at this point but the lull of shadow and the calm silence your thought process.

     You dreamt of a calm beach as the saltwater waves lapped the shoreline, the place felt familiar but the island vegetation and plant life seemed to not be tropical as you would have normally thought it to be. But the seagulls too erased your over thinking and enjoyed the lull and slide of the waves along the sandy coast. You saw a mare off in the distance too, Avallt...she slowly trotted into the water before disappearing beneath the waters, you try to go to her but you were far too late and it seemed as if she melted away with clear blue waves.
