I shot awake, my blankets holding my petrified self. I sat in my bed, my sheets dampened with sweat, my heart racing.
Today was transformation day. I was told from a young age that it would be okay, that I wouldn't loose my own thoughts, that I could still control myself, but I didn't want partial control. I want all the control. It's my body, and I should tell it what to do, not some robot.
I've been having thoughts of running away, but I don't want to disappoint my friends who are waiting for me. The bots and the children are usually separated by the villages.
