Chapters Prologue: Story of The Shadow Queen
Once there was a queen of Equestria who hated ponykind.
Her name was The Shadow Queen. Many ponies were enslaved, including Celestia and Luna. One day, Luna and Celestia were spying on The Shadow Queen and heard the worst thing in their lives. The Shadow Queen was going to control everypony and drive them into killing each other. Celestia teleported she and Luna outside and they flew to the town where everypony stayed. They tried to warn everypony about the necklaces, nopony believed them. Well, except for a Pegasus filly named Cadenza, Cadenza swore she wouldn’t put on any necklaces. Celestia was happy at least to have warned somepony. However, Luna was angrier. “WELL, DON’T COME CRAWLING TO US WHEN YOU KILL EACH OTHER! WE CANNOT BELIEVE THEE! WE ARE A PRINCESS AND WE WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS-THIS-DISCRIMINATION!” Luna yelled, using the royal Canterlot voice. Luna trudged off angrily. “Come on Celly. We don’t need these ponies.” Luna said through gritted teeth. Celestia reluctantly followed. They returned to their home where their parents were waiting. “Where were you two?” Princess Artemis asked worriedly.
“We’ve been… playing outside.” Luna lied to their mother. Prince Apollo nodded.
“Very well my dears, but ‘tis late. Now you must get to bed.” Prince Apollo instructed. The next day, their father found four necklaces on the fireplace. He believed them to be gifts from Zeus himself. He grabbed Luna and Celestia. “Put on these new gifts from Zeus, and I’m sure we shall all have good fortune.” he exclaimed. Celestia backed away quickly then ran into her room. Luna, however, was too stunned to move. Her father forced the necklace upon her neck as he did his. Artemis could not stand to see this, for she had seen The Shadow Queen’s evil plans. Later: Artemis had read about this curse. Much like the Alicorn Amulet, it had to be taken off by the pony wearing the necklace. Artemis snapped Apollo out of his trance, getting him to take off the necklace. However, when they stood up against The Shadow Queen, they were killed. Celestia watched as a flood of ponies under the influence of the necklaces came into the castle and killed The Shadow Queen. In shock of what they did, they threw down the necklaces. And Celestia and Luna hid them in a faraway place where they hoped nopony found them. But the last words of the evil queen still rang in Celestia’s ears. “In one thousand years, I shall come back! All shall remember the name of The Shadow Queen! Beware ponies of Equestria!” and with that, she melted into pure shadow. The sisters remembered that sentence for years to come, but they hoped it would never come true. However, it did. One thousand years later, a book was found. And SHE was released into the world.
BEWARE PONIES OF EQUESTRIA, FOR I AM BACK! IT’S ME! THE SHADOW QUEEN! WHO WILL HAUNT YOUR DREAMS FOR YEARS TO COME! CELESTIA AND LUNA SHALL FALL! HAHAHA! *cough cough!* *gasp* TREMBLE BEFORE ME! FOREVER WILL I REMAIN!
Now, my friends. I will tell you the story, of how The Shadow Queen returned. Sit down, for this might be a while. I am happy that you could make it on this stormy night; I shall grab my candle. Listen closely, my friends. For this is just the beginning. Grab your popcorn, snacks, and drinks from the fridge located to your left if you get hungry. We will be staying here for quite a bit. You shall know the truth of The Shadow Queen soon enough. Be careful, this story is not for the faint of heart. A small warning before we start. Contains: Gore, pure torture, dark concepts, excessive swearing, references to cupcakes, and probably lame references but I do not know if they are lame. Now my friends listen to my tale, for I will probably not disappoint. Hopefully you like my story, for I have worked hard on my idea. And if I get enough likes, I will make season two! Let us hope I will get enough likes! I will be ever so grateful if you like my story!
Chapter 1: Pinkie's Corruption
(Pinkie's PPOV)
I hopped along happily whilst humming the smile song. I saw a baby blue necklace and smiled. “It’s pretty!” I exclaimed. I put it on immediately, oh if only I knew what would happen. However, I screamed when I realized I felt I was burning. I awoke in a pure white landscape. “Hello? Hell…o?” I called out. There was no sound except for the echoes of my voice.
“Hello Pinkie Pie.” I yelped hearing the voice; I stepped back, my ears folding down. A black alicorn materialized before me.
“Eek! Who are you?” I squealed.
“I am The Shadow Queen!” the alicorn introduced.
“No, go away! Wait, no… This is just a dream! You’re not real.” I said.
“I AM real! Of course you would not believe that, though, foolish mortal. But I shall kill you and your friends, so Celestia will have nopony to call for help!” Shadow exclaimed. I shook her head.
“To Tartarus with you!” I screamed. Shadow rolled her eyes.
“You test my temper.” Shadow complained through gritted teeth.
I looked around, then up to Shadow. Her face was a twisted smile, and her eyes glinted with hatred, amusement, and sadness all at once. I shrunk back, terrified by this visitor. “N-no! Get away, bitch! I don’t want any of your crap!” I screamed in fury. She sighed.
“Foolish mortal. I hoped you would cooperate. However, I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.” I felt a burning in my throat and she smiled, becoming a shadow and fazing through me. I blanked out.
(Twilight's PPOV)
I looked through Ponyville. Celestia where IS Pinkie? I fell, hitting my jaw on the ground hard. I saw what I tripped over and gasped. “Pinkie! Are you ok?” I asked frantically. She groaned, picking her head up groggily. “T-Twilight? Where AM I?” Pinkie asked, pretty confused. I put my hoof on her shoulder. “Pinkie, you’re right near your house right now. You should head to bed.” Pinkie nodded and walked off. I trotted off back home.
(Pinkie's PPOV)
I twitched. I had an idea, a brilliant one. I called Rainbow on this new doohickey thing called a “Cellphone” I was confused by it, so I read the user’s guide and understood completely. “Hey Dashie, would ya mind helpin’ me out?” I heard Rainbow say ‘Yes’ so I explained what I needed help with. Ingredients, ingredients that were decoys. So I could come in for the kill.
(Rainbow's PPOV)
I finally got all the ingredients for Pinkie and got to her house. “Hey Pinkie! Got all your stuff!” I said happily. Pinkie smiled. “Dashie! Could you help me bake, though? Just try this taste test! It’s for what we want it to taste like!” Pinkie said excitedly. I thought for a moment, trying to process that. I nodded, even though I was terrible at baking. I took a bite from the cupcake, and slowly swallowed. It however didn't seem quite right. I was barely conscious; when I dropped the cupcake, shortly followed by myself. When I awoke, I was strapped to a table in the dark. “Pinkie?” I asked, almost screaming.
“Hello, Dashie. I see you’re awake for my special day.” I gulped. The way she said special sent shivers down my back.
Chapter 2: The one that got away
(Rainbow's PPOV)
A light shone brightly down on my face. When I adjusted to the light, I could see Pinkie staring at me. I was tied down tightly by leather ropes. I smiled; I could break out easily. I tried as hard as I could, but they would not break. “What? These are leather! I should be able to break out in ONE second!” I screamed in terror. Pinkie laughed maniacally. “Well, DUH! They’re MAGICAL!” Pinkie laughed. I shivered. She was seriously scaring me right now. “You little- NHMM!“ Pinkie put a gag in my mouth. She brought a knife off a table and smiled. She forced the knife into my wing, causing me to thrash and kick. “Heh-heh-HAHAHAHAHAHA!” Pinkie laughed. She took the knife out of my wing, actually causing more pain. “N-no more… please.” I looked to her sadly, trying my best to talk through the gag. She thrust the knife towards my other wing, but stopped right before she stabbed. “N-n-no. NO!” She took off the gag, untied me, and unlocked the trap door. “Go. NOW!” Pinkie screamed in panic. I ran out as fast as I could without flying.
(Pinkie's PPOV)
I screamed in pain of fear and sadness. I hurt Dashie. I wanted to hurt myself. “Why, Shadow? WHY?” I yelled in the darkness. I heard a laugh. One that chilled by blood, made my brain go numb, and sent shivers through my body. “Go away. NOW.” I spun, trying to pinpoint where the laughter was coming from. Gruesome scenes flashed through my mind, causing me to throw up over myself.
(Twilight's PPOV)
I looked around town and sighed at how beautiful it was today. Rainbow must have gotten up early today to clear the clouds. I hope that nopony is hiding like last time I thought that. I saw town was bustling, so I was ok. Then, Rainbow trotted right into me. “RAINBOW DASH! Watch where you run next time!” I yelled. Then I noticed blood trailing down her side from her wing. “You’re wing’s hurt!” I whisper yelled. “Hurt? ‘Tis but a scratch!” Rainbow claimed. I facehoofed from her trying to be bold.
“More like a gash.” I said. Rainbow shook her head. I thought for a moment. “How did you get hurt?” I asked. Rainbow stiffened. “Pinkie… She… I… AGH!” Rainbow took a few deep breaths. “Alright. Pinkie captured me, then she stabbed my wing. I escaped because… Pinkie stopped and untied me and let me escape.” I gasped at Rainbow’s story.
“Was anything different about her appearance?” I asked. Rainbow thought for a few moments.
“Yeah. A blue necklace. Didn’t think ‘bout it ‘till now.” I stiffened up.
“Shadow Queen!” I said quickly in a panic.
“’Shadow Queen’?” Rainbow asked. I nodded, and then sighed.
“’There once was a queen of Equestria…”
(Rainbow's PPOV)
When Twilight finished her story, my jaw was practically on the ground. “That’s terrible. So, The Shadow Queen has taken over Pinkie?” I asked, starting to get scared. Twilight nodded solemnly.
“It seems so.” My frown deepened.
“We need to stop her!” I said fiercely, flying up. That is when I remembered my wing was hurt. I fell onto Twilight. “Sorry.” I said with a nervous smile.
I smiled at the girls as we told jokes and laughed. Just a normal day for the CMC. Then Pinkie walked to us, smiling. “Hey, girls! Wanna help me make cupcakes? I would like some help.” Pinkie asked us. I smiled, knowing I was a great baker. Well, at least better than Applebloom and Scootaloo. We nodded. Therefore, we followed Pinkie to Sugar Cube Corner. Pinkie already had one pan of cupcakes done. “I made some earlier, but I got actually kind of tired and I couldn’t make more yet. Therefore, I decided to see if you would help! So now we’re here!” Pinkie explained without taking a breath. “Here, have one. So you know what we want them to taste like!” Pinkie offered.
“I don’t know. I read a story my friend Rumble made, and this is how it started, except with Dash.” Scootaloo said skeptically.
“C’mon, Scoots; free cupcakes!” Applebloom said excitedly.
“Fine; but if we pass out, I blame you Applebloom.” Scootaloo said through clenched teeth. We all took a bite from our cupcakes. It did not quite taste right. I suddenly wanted to take a nap. I curled up on the floor and closed my eyes. “I blame you, Applebloom-“ I passed out, so I couldn’t hear the rest.
I woke up on a cold floor. I scanned the room. It was dark, and the whole place seemed to be made of stone. “Applebloom, Sweetie Belle; where are you?” I called out, seeing they weren’t with me. I told Applebloom it was a bad idea, but she just had to have her free cupcake. I heard the sound of something scraping behind me and I turned. There was a hallway, and the scraping was coming from it. I flew out of the room quickly, hoping to get away from whatever was making that noise. I bumped a wall and tumbled down onto my back right leg. I scrambled to get up. My vision turned red as soon as I put weight on my leg. I limped, hoping that I could get out of this place. I realized it was like a maze. It was so dark; I couldn’t see three hands in front of me. I ended up stumbling into something white and soft. I fell directly onto my bad leg. I whimpered from pain. I noticed something lit up a green glow. I turned and saw a familiar white unicorn. I couldn’t help but smile.
“Scootaloo; where’s Applebloom?” Sweetie Belle asked me. I shook my head; partly to get the stars out of my eyes, partly to signify I had no idea where Applebloom was.
“I don’t know. I haven’t seen her anywhere around here.” I said. My voice was just above a whisper after so much pain. “We need to find her and escape.” I said. I was sure that was what would keep us alive. Sweetie and I walked through the darkness. I felt better having Sweetie Belle with me. I bumped into her by accident and fell down again. My leg is going to be the death of me. I thought. I got up, but the pain was worse. Sweetie sat down next to me.
“You’re leg is broken!” she exclaimed. I wanted to say Ya think? but no sound came out. She used magic and my leg felt better immediately. I stood up. We continued walking the dark halls. We stopped at a crossroad.
“Which way?” I asked.
“Neither.” I spun around and saw Applebloom. I smiled and ran to hug her. She stopped me. “Don’t touch me, you piece of shit.” she growled. I crouched and inched backward.
“Applebloom; what’re you doing?” Sweetie asked. Applebloom turned and stared at Sweetie. It happened in a millisecond. Applebloom threw a knife that hit Sweetie in the head, killing her. Applebloom turned to me. She lifted her hoof.
“Goodnight.”
