It took me forever to get your mother to allow me to tell you of my adventures, let alone the uncensored version; yes you heard me right. Finally, however, she told me i could tell you everything as long as i wrote it down in a book for you to read when you were older. I readily said "OK" to this and now we are here. So here you are, my story to you, as plain and as clear as it actually happened. These are my travels; this is... The Story Of My Life Your Loving Father, Josiah //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Arrival //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Arrival You both know that I am not from equestria, and have asked me where I am from. Every time I simply responded with, " A world I'm glad I'm no longer in." But now that I am writing out everything, I will now tell you.... I come from a world called Earth Earth is in ruin. World governments and their leaders at the brink of world war three, and it's one that would be cataclysmic. That's just the start, in the "United" States the government has become so one sided that it has decided that all who think differently should be hunted down and imprisoned. What came a little while later was way worse. The government decided that all who disagree but are under legal adult status should not go to jail. The catch is....they have to run. Survive, flee, anyway you say it, they have to hide from the government. If caught, they will either have to commit to the U.S. government's Agenda or be tortured and sent off to hide again with little chance of survival. Thereby making human life a game in which people play a life-and-death version of hide-and-go-seek for the  government's pleasure. It had been this way for going on eight months, with most kids either committing or dying. That is where our story takes place..... The government was having a particular time finding children, specifically in Montana. There was one small group of 16 and 17 year olds that was constantly evading them, outwitting the government at every turn. This group of teens consisted of five boys, all very close friends growing up and now using their friendship to frustrate and confuse the government. Now onto the actual story..... Josiah crept across a small plane of pine trees as he snuck past a pair of army soldiers. This took him well over half an hour trying not to be seen until he finally reached the edge of the guard station and took off through the forest. He was going to rendezvous with the others at a small glade known only to them and a few others as the crystal pond. He and Torin had split up from Eyrah, Thomas, and Andrew as they went to go get supplies from a nearby town, then they split up all deciding to meet at the crystal pond at around midnight. Josiah reached the pond shortly after 10  PM, so he decided to do a little patrol and then set down for the night. The crystal pond glistened with an almost spectral light reflecting from a full moon that night lighting up the general area. He finished his patrol around 11:35 with no one in sight and was beginning to worry. Josiah worried if they had been captured or had just lost their way.... and then been captured. All these thoughts and more were flying through his head as he went down to the pond and washed his face before looking at his reflection. He had medium length brown hair and dark brown eyes. The face that was bright, full of energy, and carrying an impish smile was gone. Standing in its place was a worn face with cuts and a lifeless mouth conveying no emotion at all,  and border lining on a frown. Sighing he stood up to his full high of about five feet eleven inches and went over to his pack and rested his head on it like a pillow, his mind racing with a billion thoughts at once with still no sign of the others. Josiah felt hollow, like a cup that had been full once but was turned over and all of its contents spilled out. Finally he spoke a wish that had been building for the past few months. "I wish I could just leave this world forever...I wish I wish I wish." he spoke in a whisper as a small, thin stream of tear ran down his face. He wiped it away and fell into a deep dreamless sleep. Sunbeams streaked Josiah's face as he woke up to birds chirping in the oak trees surrounding him. Wait.... He was in Montana, there were pines in Montana. Josiah shot to his feet and looked around; the crystal pond was there, exactly as it should be, but there were acres upon acres of oaks surrounding him. A strong breeze picked up and so did his cloak and nearly carried it away before Josiah jumped up and snatched it from the wind's grasp. Upon doing so another realization came upon him, and that was that he had never physically felt better. He was full of energy, very light on his feet and his mind was a sharp as a whip, giving a small laugh and he did a quick back flip.  Running his hand through his hair, Josiah also discovered something more and ran to the pond. Looking in his reflection, Josiah found the that he was clean. No dirt, no oil, no cuts, not even the small amount of acne he had accrued over time was there. His clothes were also clean with no smell to them at all. His mind racing, Josiah ran to the largest tree he could find and  climbed up the large thing, reaching the top in about a minute. Looking around, he saw a large mountain wall/plateau to the north, a massive mountain way behind it and just due west, a small village about a mile and a half away which he decide to go to, but before he started getting down, the sudden realization hit him that he wasn't in Montana anymore, heck he wasn't sure he was even in the states anymore. Josiah then voiced the the thought that had been plaguing his mind since he woke up, "Where am I...." Will continue with chapter 2 First Impressions
