The night sky in canterlot.
what majesty could the stars hold, for most ponies the dark sky is nothing but a slow but elegant show. While foals look up into the night and make up their own constellations, the Princess of the night herself however was simply biding her time and talking to her old prison which to most is the best part of midnight sky.
" If only the ponies of this land can understand what you mean to me, your so amazing in many ways. But my heart tis yet to understand why would anypony.....why would thy be so foolish as to think.....a thousand years ago....... I took advantage of you, I overused my powers and caused myself to become imprisoned in the moon......I feel so guilty....for what can thy do to repay to all those I've hurt"
During her personal conversation, Twilight walked around the dark halls with her magic illuminating her surroundings and the her small book for which she was reading while trotting. She heard the Princesses self guilt-filled monologue, she stopped at Lunas bedroom door listening to her calm and saddened voice.
"....Luna? what is she talking about"
After a few minutes of eavesdropping Twilights ears drooped down with the feeling of remorse washing over her. "Oh Luna...."
As the guilt filled Pony listened, Luna continued.
"But thy suppose it isn't as bad as I would've expected over these last few months.....I'd never expected to have so much love and friendship in such little time, for as though my prayers were answered once I met a certain somepony.....Oh how can I not be entranced by their beauty and sort of introverted/awkward person, but..... to me their perfect."
"If only she knew how I felt......If only Twilight knew"
Twilights cheeks turned dark red, which in turn messed up her concentration and making the book drop to the ground, the sound can be heard from inside of Princess Luna's resting quarters which made the Princess of the night jump in surprise "WHO DARES DISTRUB ME!!!!!". She slams her door open seeing twilight whom is still flushed, "....oh...Twilight......Ummmmmm" Luna's cheeks also turned a dark red
"........How much did you hear?......"
Twilight paused before responding
"All of it"
Luna covered her face with her hooves along with her wings straight after.
" I am terribly sorry Twilight, I've been wanting to tell you for awhile now but thy, I mean 'I' have been cowardess and afraid of your rejection"
Twilight looked at the dark blue alicorn
".....Luna?"
"........................Yes????"
" I would never reject you......"
"You wouldn't?"
both their faces began to turn darker as they looked into each other's eyes, Twilight slowly walked over to the princess softly placing her hoof on top, Twilights and Luna's muzzles touched, a light grin appeared on Luna's face
"I'm glad you think so as well"
Luna wrapped her wings around the lavender colored alicorn, Twilight rested her head on her marefriends shoulder.
Within the few moments of cuddling Twilight became deep in thought about many things, she instantly went from tranquil to worry wart. She slowly looked up at Luna with her lavender colored globes, the looked Luna was given surely did struck her as odd for a pony such as twilight.
"Twilight? is everything alright?'
"...yeah I'm just a lil worried about what your sister will say about....you know...me and you'
" Well my sister shouldn't mind our close courtship, love is important to all ponies especially to my sister. I'm sure she would be very open and accepting to our relationship"
"......If you say so"
"Twilight she's my sister, why wouldn't she be happy for us"
".....Well okay"
Luna pecked twilights head lovingly as they looked up at the stars, The princess of the night and ponies dreams looked down at her companion.
"Twilight.....could you teach me some of the names of the constellations in the sky"
" But Luna your the one who made them"
"That is true yes, but I enjoyed learning about what my fellow subjects call them"
"....Oh okay well that one is Ursa Major and the one next to it is Ursa minor.......over their the constellation Orion, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Virgo, Castor and Pollux also known as the Gemini constellation. And other their is Pisces, Aquarius, Leo, Cancer, Aries, Taurus, Capricorn and Libra"
