//-------------------------------------------------------// Obsessions, Fatherhood, and Diplomacy -by Silver Octave- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Overview //-------------------------------------------------------// Overview January 4th, 2001... Location: Unknown, USA, Earth, Solar System(Sol) "Please say your name, and age." "My name is Chris-Christopher R-Robins, and I am three y-years old." "Thank you." "You're welcome, [Censored]." A chair moves in, a small stack of paper is dropped onto a metal table. "I know this may be scary Christopher and might be really hard, but I need you to be brave, so does mommy." "Am I in trouble?" "A little, but don't worry. I can help you get out of trouble, but only if you can help me. You need to remember what happened, when you got upset." "I was playing when I was not supposed to." "Go on. Why where you playing so late at night?" "Because I saw a person. A lady with long blond hair. She told me she was mommy's kid friend." "Did she tell you her name?" "She never tells me her name when I saw her. I did ask! She won't tell me! I swear!" His voice begins to shake like the rest of him. "Don't worry, I believe you. So can you tell me what she looks like?" "She's very, very tall, but only when she's standing outside...um...She looks really, really pretty, like the pictures of angels. Long blond hair...um...she always wears a dress...it's blue." "You're a very smart kid, Christopher." "I learned to read when I was two. I don't like the TV, it hurts my eyes." "Your mom told me you like looking directly at the sun. Didn't think a TV of all things you wouldn't like." "TV is boring...I like books about knights and dragons! I like pegasi, unicorns, and fairies, and princesses!" He pointed up with an excited smile. "Did you know we're all made of dead stars?" The interviewer laughs a little. "How interesting. So, what do you and this woman talk about?" He frowns a bit, even noticing her lack of interest. "Me, she says I am impor...importaunt... She says I'm like a knight and a wizard. That I need to save the world from a bad guy, but the bad guy comes from a whole other galaxy like Star Wars!" "Well..." The interviewer sighs, writing down a bit, then drops the pen. "Tell me, your mom told me you have dreams with this woman. Tell me about those please." "They're so weird..." Chris shuffles a bit in his chair. "Can I have a snack?" "While you tell me about those dreams, someone will get you something. What would you like?" "DOTS!" Chris cheered. "Why'd you nod at the window? No one's there." "Dreams." She simply said. He moans his complaint. "Fine...I don't remember a whole lot...Just that I look like a dragon with a bunch of feathers and not scales! What kind of dragon is that?!" "I don't know Christopher. Is there anything else? Where you are, maybe what the sky looks like?" "There is like...a whole bunch of stuff in the sky! Like a bunch of really big rocks floating and that I'm really high up!" "Tell me Christopher, do these rocks look kinda blue or green?" "No..." "No?" "Yeah...They just look like rocks or moons." "How many are there?" "A bunch...a big ton of them..." The pen is picked up and the interviewer writes again. A large metal door opens and heavy steps lead up to Chris. Something metal impacts the metal table. Chris gasps. "YOU GOT THEM! Mom never lets me have this much candy!" "Because you're a very special kid Christopher." She smiled at him with such a kind look on her face, yet it looked like a lie. "Because I was born during a meteor shower! Mommy told me so! She said I was born from a star and came down from space! That we all come from stars!" Chris grabbed two DOTS of different colors, and bit only half of each. Then he stuck them together and giggled. "I'm the doctor now." He whispered softly. "That's right." She breaths, bringing Chris back in to their interview. "Christopher...what if I told you, you aren't like us. That you're-" There was a loud scream on the other side of the glass. The large crashing of the glass shattering onto the floor behind the interviewer scared them both. "NO!!! DON'T DO THAT TO HIM! HE'S NOT READY!!!" Christopher's mother cried out her face was red with fury and fear, and her eyes glowed purple. "PLEA-!!!" End July 8th, 2001... Location: Unknown. Earth, Solar System(Sol) "What would you like for your birthday?" "I wanna see the Matrix." "Aren't you worried it might scare you? I saw it. It was scary to me, had a few nightmares before I got over it." "Mommy told me that movies are fake, not real. So they can't really be real, so what's not real can't hurt me. So why be scared of something that can't hurt you?" "You're right. I guess I was pretty stupid for being scared." "It's okay. It's nature to be afraid of the unknown." "Have you had any dreams lately?" "No...I don't see the lady anymore. She was really nice but was mad when you people starting talking to me..." "Why's that?" "Because she says you people lie to everyone, to hide things everyone should know, that have the right to know and that you all feel ent-...en-title-d..." "We're entitled? How does she know we lie?" "So you do?" "Sometimes, only when the safety of us are in danger." The interviewer said. "Now, answer my question please." "She's powerful. She's spoken a lot-" A loud buzzer went off, forcing her to sigh. "I'm sorry Christopher, but I'm needed elsewhere. I'll have a guard take you to your mommy, okay?" "Okay..." October 17th, 2003... Location: Unknown. Earth, Solar System(Sol) "How was your time at the fair Christopher. See some cool costumes?" "I got to watch a smith make a cool sword!" His face beamed a smile at the interviewer. "Then I got to eat a whole turkey leg!" She gave a light hearted chuckle. "I see. So, any dreams lately?" "Only dreams about being a Jedi! Oh! No, a Sith! Yeah! I get to shoot lightning out of my hands! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! Oh that would be so cool!!!" "Nothing about the woman?" "Only a couple, but I'm not allowed to talk about her anymore or she'll be really mad at me." "Is it because we're lairs again?" Christopher shakes his head. "Then why?" "I can't tell you, I told you that." He moaned his complaint. "You know we can't let you go unless you talk a little about her. Many lives are counting on you." "No..." Christopher began to frown. "Don't make me mad." "Christopher, you can't threaten me. Remember, your mommy is in trouble. The only way to get her out of trouble is if you help us." "Mommy said no too. Goddesses are real for a reason. They put bad people like you in line. I'm a knight of a goddess, she said so, so I know she'll help me!" "Shall I show you what happens when you don't give us what we want Christopher." "Don't do it..!" He growled. She lifted a hand to her ear and pressed it. "Turn it up to fifteen percent tolerance." She took out her ear piece and turned the speaker on. "NNNNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Chris began to tear up upon hearing his mother scream in agony. He started to shake, and fell onto the ground, screaming himself but not in pain. He was fighting himself, fighting the urge to do bad things. But for a child, the battle he was fighting was a short one lost. Suddenly his body stopped convulsing, and became still while his mother was still screaming. "You did bad...bad things to mommy..." A dark feeling washed over her, the interviewer stood from her chair and walked towards the door. She tried to open the door but the handle became red hot and melted. "YOU HURT MOMMY!!!" "NNNOOOOOOOO!!!!" She felt her head being crushed under an invisible force until she felt nothing any longer all became black now. She was dead with her head crushed to the size of a baseball. End of recording Our trials to retrieve alien information from subject has failed, his psionic powers are too great and we have chosen to wipe his mind. His mother died in the chamber, and his father was informed that she went missing, presumed dead. Further experimentation on Psionically gifted persons are hereby banned after the death of over eighty percent of Area Twelve location. Over a thousand lives lost at the hand of an enraged child who tried to warn us. Whomever this "Goddess" woman is, we must assume she is an extraterrestrial in nature and performed experients on Chris, as his own regular human DNA was changed, to have twenty-six pairs of chromosomes. Chris will live his life only remembering his mother was sick and ran off during the night, presumably from delirium. We will have a watcher over Chris in case his father becomes too much of a risk. My name is Professor Charles Kulwak of the Psionics Research Center on platform twelve. Project P is a failure. I can't say enough how sorry I am to those who lost their lives trying to find out this boy's secret. Sometimes....sometimes the secrets of an advanced civilization's technology is as dangerous as discovering it on our own. Could this just be a natural for them or unnatural even. While I can't be sure whether or not he'll be safe, at least he will learn to cope. At least he won't think he's partly alien in nature. ... ... ... Everyone has a story... Sometimes it starts great. Life is great in the beginning, fresh and new. Maybe a few bumps along the way, a hill to climb, and in the end, when Death himself comes to claim you, you find rest. Other times....A story can have a rough beginning and the seas of life crash down on you. You'll have a few happy moments but never enough for you to feel safe... and... that you are all alone. When I was little, I lost my mother and I can't remember how or why. She vanished without a trace and left a father who fell into depression with a son who he knew at the time was much greater than him. What do you do when you have a son... who can speak to the departed souls of those who once lived? How can you tell your son it's the powers inside him that allow him to connect to nature itself and speak to it? How can you explain that everything you know to a son who thinks he's going insane even at an early age? ... You really can't...not completely. Because there's going to be a part of you, no matter what, that believes he's normal, just like you are. Nothing's wrong with normal unless you don't fit in like a puzzle piece. My life has been a series of complex questions, unclear answers, and a task to complete that many would drug you and lock you away for. When I was little.... I saw reality much more clearly than most did. The trees spoke to me, cried to me to help save them. The air itself was choking, water was being poisoned. Everything around me made me see the damage my own kind was doing to our planet. My dreams made me to believe I was meant to rule the world, but I didn't know what to do. I searched for answers, studied the spiritual and material aspects of everything the Planet Earth had to offer. I did my best trying to learn as much as I could so that when I could take over the world, I was ready to. Nearly twelve thousand years of human history, wars, treaties, trade deals, philosophies, ANYTHING my mind could wrap itself around so I could help begin to heal the wounds Humanity left on our only home. My story was already written.... ... ... ... I just had to read it... Silver Octave Presents: A Mad Father Prometheus Production Obsessions, Fatherhood, and Diplomacy Author's Note Hey all, welcome back and shit. This chapter is just a little bit of something I felt was a little important. Ponies next chapter, I assure you. Also, did you know Sol also means Shit Outta Luck....No wonder we keep getting attacked by aliens.... //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: A Long Time Coming //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: A Long Time Coming "How is he today doctor?" Celestia asked while she and her sister walked in. "Please give me good news." "He hasn't had a seizure since he started taking the drug. He was right in stating that it was going to help not only himself, but everypony that suffers from the same or similar cases. I request funding on research on the plant princess." "He'll get it." Luna said stepping next to Celestia then looked down at her husband sleeping peacefully on their bed. "He's right about nearly everything he says. Radio waves, x-rays...Both help Equestria greatly." "Yet..." The doctor began, frowning a bit. "I know what he was and now, if I knew more about his magic, I could find a proper way to manage it." "The magic he uses draws directly from himself. At least, that's how he explains it. That the seizures only come when he uses a great deal at once." Luna explained. "He teaches our children, not us, says we're too old..." "He has merit." Celestia sighed. "We would like to be alone with him now. If there is something that goes wrong, we will resummon you." The doctor took a bow and silently left. "Thank god he's finally gone..." Prometheus' eyes opened and he sat up. "So stuffy that one." "What did you do this time?" Celestia asked with a raised brow, trying to see if there were anymore wounds that needed to be addressed. "I was training the kids how to blow stuff up. Someone sneezed and blew me up a few feet, I had to use a bit to keep my shield up...Hurt like a bitch too..." "Just train us how to use it!" Luna demanded, jumping onto his bed, followed by Celestia. "Surely since we are alicorns we can harness any form of magic through training. Tia learned Thaumic Alchemy, and learned to walk in Tartarus. I learned copious amounts of restoration magicks, conjuration, enchanting, and even dark magic for a shtick. " "You don't have the spark anymore. Long gone and faded away. Once you reach puberty it's next to impossible to rekindle such a flame. Once they are five it's hot enough to ignite and temper." Luna sighed and dropped her head onto his. Celestia sat at his hooves, looking at him with sad Tia eyes. "The seizures aren't harmful unless they happen more frequently. It's just my body adjusting to the lack of magic. Having this body helps quite a bit. Soon, my horn will grow and I won't have them anymore." Celestia's head dropped and laid on the bed. "I wish you would stop using your magic, but I cannot truly keep you from doing so..." She rubbed her eyes and shuttered a sigh. "I do not want to see you bare the poison of your own magic, but either way it hurts you." Prometheus moved himself so he could lay on Celestia's chest, while Luna rested on his chest. This formed a big pony U in the massive bed. For a moment, they laid there in silence, that was until their foals came in. "DAD!!!" They cheered. "I'm so sorry for blowing you up Dad..." Aum said with puppy dog eyes. "It's fine Aum. I should have paid better attention, I constantly enforce this upon you three where I have failed that very thing." Aum's twin, Ceru Blossom deeply nuzzled his head, joining the pony U, making look like a lazy Y. He looked at his father then fell on him, forcing a grunt from Prometheus. "Come on Aum, oh, wait...where's my sunshine?" "Sunny is studying her b.o.s..." He smiled. "At least she likes it. I worked hard to write everything I remembered. That's pretty much the only Dragon based Book of Shadows at all, or at least that I know of." "I still can't believe I thought you were going to end up like Sombra and go too far." She sighed sadly. "Oh, you don't know the half of it." "Then tell me." "I blood bind everything I own so I don't lose track of it." He grinned with glee while his twins looked rather disgusted. "I'm getting off...." Aum slowly slid off the bed and started to head for the door. "Can I go play in the Solarium?" "Practice your meditation for two hours. After lunch you can." "WHAT?! Why two hours." "Gotta punish you somehow for blowing me up." Luna and Celestia nodded, making Aum's mouth drop more. "Next time try to avoid losing your mana all at once. Without focus, a build up can lead to a blow out." "Can I meditate in the Solarium?" "So long as you mediate." "I swear!" "You're free." Aum smiled gleefully and ran off, closing the door behind her. Ceru kept his head on his mother's chest, and took deep breaths in though his nose. "What about you Ceru, have you been meditating?" "Like how you said." He replied. "I was able to keep it controlled this time for a little longer." Luna's head turned to Prometheus. "What is it that he is controlling?" "He accidentally learned astral projection." At this Celestia looked very confused. "How do you 'accidentally' learn how to astral project yourself?" "Tell them." "I had to pee and poo at the same time really bad..." Ceru admitted. Celestia snorted with a smile and replied to her sister. "Only your foal would do such a thing." "Let's not forget how Sunny sneezed and melted the stone around you. Were you mortal, you would be but water vapor and ash in the air." Luna rubbed Ceru's head and then hugged him. "I'm proud of you. No matter how you learned such a feat on your own." "Twilight learned how to transmute animate objects into inanimate objects after getting scared. And have a dragon egg hatch and burst through the ceiling with a growth spell." "She's the element of magic." "AND OUR FOALS ARE THE SON AND DAUGHTERS OF ALICORNS AND A HUMAN TURNED PONY!" Celestia countered. "What's your point?!" "Stop trying to measure your dongs and shut up. I'm trying to recover my power enough to train them more. Lots to do, so little time." "Until what?" Prometheus smiled. "Until I rule the world. I need my foals to help bring peace." "We talked about this..." Celestia sighed and adjusted herself a bit in the bed. "They're not weapons." "You're right, they're not. I have much better plans for them, to take my place should I fail. Peace must be brought before the other kingdoms feel too threatened by our rapid progression." He frowned. "A side effect I know, but in the name of Evolution, we will become more than the humans ever were!" "Tame your pride my love." Luna huffed. "You do have good insight, but diplomacy is neither your's or mine." "It is either peace or war... that's how it is when it comes to cultures. One or the other...nothing else." Celestia dryly commented. "Let's talk more about this later. Our husband is right, he needs his rest, and their powers are dangerous at this stage in their development. Sunny and melt stone with a sneeze, Aum can blow stuff up if she isn't directly thinking about not blowing it up, and Ceru wanted to crap and pee so hard he made a physical projection of himself to do both at the same time. While creative lot they are, they do need training. Like any young foal." "We got one of each, so it's kinda harder for Aum, seeing that she's a unicorn." Prometheus added. "Nap time is the best time." Prometheus woke up alone. Frowning, he got up from his bed and looked around. He trudged to the bathroom, nearly tripping on his hooves. Still was hard to wake up to move about, having four hooves and all. Eventually he made it and relieved himself, only to feel himself tremble afterwords. He fell over to the side and twitched erratically, his eyes flooded with a blue glow then turned purple, then back to amber. His mane and coat nearly stood straight. "DAMMIT!!! That hurt! You could've said hello!" He shouted at one creature in particular. "Dammit...Discord, I'm going to kill you." Discord popped in with a wine glass"Well, you said to return as soon as you can. So here I am with the news. I agree, so does Thorax, Amber and Spike." "Took you six weeks. What gives?" Discord sighed with a frown on his ugly mug. 'Seriously, his face turned into a pug's face?' Then it changed back and he stood straight in the air. "I have a life to manage as well... Fluttershy is pregnant and all." Prometheus raised a brow. "Is she well, how is the foal!" Suddenly he looked more concerned. "She quite alright, nothing abnormal or anything happening to her. The foal is a pegasus." "How far along is she?" "Four months." Discord's eyes seemed to drift away. "You...can see the tiny little stubs on her wings. Thank you, so much for this gift." "Of what?" "With your technology, I was able to see my foal, far before I could have hoped. To know how early, what she looks like..." A tear sheds and he shakes his head. "Back to the topic...Thorax has offered his army which is in full support of world peace, but they demand that they only take the will to attack, not defend. Luckily, Queen Amber and Sir Spike will make use of the lofty -and I do mean lofty sums of gold, and bits and bobbles." "The minotaurs have Ambrodium weapons. Magic of any-" Discord was stopped with a raised hoof from Prometheus. "Okay, magic that isn't your's won't work..." "That's right, because?" "You're a witch." He smiled. "A bitchin' witch." Discord rolled his eyes and took a bow. "It's rare that I bow for anypony. I bow to you because of the chaos you bring and the peace of mind you give me. Do I still get my own world?" "You can have as much as you deem as soon as the stars are mine." Everything was his in Prometheus' eyes. Everything that is or will exist will belong to him, so that peace will last longer. The more he owned, the more he felt at peace. "You will have your own system if you so choose. Why one planet when you could have at least a dozen?" Discord smiled back. "Yes, and I shall see you soon enough. I've yet to speak with the Zebras, but I'm sure I'll be able to convince them. Although, you may have to speak with them yourself." Prometheus shrugged. "If I must I must, but I'd like to take a ten foot pole approach. All this secrecy is putting a damper on my 'Full Disclosure' policy. Please just work as hard as you can and you will get what you deserve." "It's been a pleasure as always Prometheus. I'm....I'm glad you are my king." "Not a king-" Prometheus said with a hint of anger. "I am no king, lord, or emperor. I am a Father who only wishes to see his children live long and prosper. I shall see you soon enough. Next time, warn me though or I may have to do something drastic." "As you wish." Discord gave one last bow before vanishing in a bright flash of light. As soon as Discord's magic faded away, Prometheus washed his face and wandered over to the balcony. He looked up at the moon and stars, feeling a pressure in the back of his mind. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in. "Oh Father Sky, I beckon you to help me on the path to the heavens and beyond for this task alone is wrought with danger and demise..." He breathed out and then back in. "Mother Earth, please grant me safe travels on the breath of your wind, the sea of your water, the earth I shall walk, and the fire that will keep me warm. So mote it be." He felt a tingle go down his spine that felt like something was tickling him. A smile graced his lips then he went back to bed, hoping he wouldn't be so alone in the morning.. Author's Note Prometheus has been busy...
