Princess Twilight paced around in the library section of her castle, with Spike gnawing on a peridot gem. He burped as he finally finished eating.
"Spicy," he said as he gulped down a cup of water which Twilight conjured out of the thin air for him. Twilight raised an eyebrow.
"Don't you have something to say, mister?" she asked questioningly. Spike pretended to think for a moment.
"Hmmm.... What was that word," he pretended, and he blinked as if he had been struck by an idea. "Aha! Thank you, fair Twilight,"
Twilight rolled her eyes as her violet and pink mane bobbed up and down. She magically conjured her checklist from her chest, and rolled it open with her hoof. After she read it over, she tossed it over to Spike, who caught it with one claw.
"Is everything in order for the Princesses? " she asked worriedly, as she continued pacing around the room, her violet wings outstretched. "What if I don't have the proper silverware? What if she bursts through the door and the chairs are not set properly in place. What if I forgot to say the right words? What if I stumble?"
Now it was Spike's turn to roll his eyes. He slapped a claw to his forehead and belched out a cloud of green fire. A scroll, with neatly written script and the seal of all the royal princesses was stamped on it came out.
"Should I read it Twi? Or are you going to faint?" he asked, a bit annoyed. Twilight just bit her tongue and nodded to the first question.
"Ok. The message begins. "
Dear Princess Twilight,
We shall be arriving at your castle soon, in about 3 minutes. Please do not panic my dear, and you do not have to prepare unnecessarily. Think of us as your extended family just coming for a short visit.

Princess Celestia, co-ruler of Equestria, sun alicorn and Raiser of the Sun
Twilight began to panic as she flapped her wings.
"How will we even get there in time?" Twilight asked Spike a bit stupidly, as she began pacing around again in the library. Spike rolled his eyes. He walked over to Twilight and poked her.
"Look Twilight, we're in the library of the same castle that the Princesses shall be coming into. Just teleport yourself. You're a alicorn after all. Which means you're a pegasus, earth pony, and a unicorn."
Twilight sighed in relief.
"Thanks Spike. That sounds so stupid now, when you think about it." she said as she walked out of the library. She spread her large violet wings, and her horn began to glow, as Spike climbed onto her back. "And here we goo!"
For the next few moments, Twilight was a complete mess. She accidently teleported herself into a nearby tree, causing herself and Spike to almost fall off a branch. She then straightened herself and then teleported into the bathroom, where Starlight Glimmer was taking a bath, causing Starlight to scream, and Twilight mutter an apology, as she blushed in horror. Finally, she used her teleportation to get the main room, where only seconds later, there was a polite knock at the door. Twilight's hair was a disheveled mess, with soap suds and twigs with leaves stuck in her mane. She quickly combed it to restore its natural look. Spike hurried over and opened the door.There, the three other princesses were standing, with their wings spread out. With the sunlight shining on them, it seemed like they were living goddesses. For Princess Celestia and Luna's case, they practically already were goddesses. The princesses bowed to Twilight and came into the castle.
"My my, Twilight! This isn't my first coming to your castle, but it is still simply stunning. Everything is shining, and in order, you and Spike have done a good job." congratulated Cadence. Twilight blushed.
“Thank you Cadence. Princess Celestia, Luna, and Cadence, please sit down.” said Twilight as she gestured for them to take a seat on the three couches that she had provided for them. Luna sat down on the blue one, and fidgeted until she felt comfy.
“So, what was this emergency meeting called for, Twilight? Does it have something to do with us disliking all the attention that we get when we walk in towns and cities?” asked Luna, as she put her mane into a pony tail. Twilight nodded.
“Exactly, Princess Luna. A few days ago, I found this really old spell book on how you can transform into other things, such as cats and teapots. I turned the pages until it was almost the end, and I found a spell that can transform yourselves into other ponies for a few hours. A day at the longest.” replied Twilight as she brought over the book.
It had an intricate cover, with priceless gems embedded. The script was very fancy, and Twilight knew because of her librarian eyes, that it was a long time ago when the book was written. Celestia’s interest was aroused and she opened it to the bookmarked page.
“Hmm…. This is a very complex spell Twilight. I’ve heard of it once or twice before, and sometimes, you can get stuck in the transformation for a few days. But, I’ll be willing to give it a shot. I don’t really enjoy the attention, all the time.” said Celestia thoughtfully. Luna rolled her eyes and put a hoof to her forehead.
“Celestia, that is a total lie. You love attention. You’re like all the attention. You're practically an attention hog.” said Luna irritably. Celestia and Luna began arguing for a few moments. Cadence was chuckled and took the book away from the other two princesses and flipped to the page Twilight was talking about.
“I love this idea, Twilight! Don’t get me wrong, I love Flurry Heart and Shining Armor, but I’d love to take a break of it once and awhile. Shining can do all the work, except he’s extremely lazy at times, and the only thing he wants to do after a long day is to party at nightclubs,” remarked Cadence. Twilight’s eyes widened. Her brother, the picture perfect, straight a student brother, head of the Royal Guard, partied? AT NIGHTCLUBS? AT BARS?
"So, what do we have to do, Twilight Sparkle? Please recite the spell for us. I think I can say for all of us that we wish to try it," announced Luna as she daintily nibbled on a sugar cookie which Twilight had placed on the plate. Twilight was still trying to picture her brother, her BBBFF, partying in a nightclub. The image was too horrifying to imagine.
The princesses all nodded in unison.
"Ok, here it goes. So, you have to picture yourself in a different body that isn't an alicorn. Either choose earth pony, unicorn or pegasus please, and choose some mane colors, length, etc. Just a quick heads up, the talents will not be chosen by you, and neither your names. Then say these words. " said Twilight as her horn glowed.
I love my soul, good and true
but now it has come to see things in a new view
Goddesses please, hear my wish
Grant my a new body and talent with a swish
May this spell last for a few hour
Then to return to thee original form with great power.
Then, her body was encased in a flourish of purple. After a few moments passed without Twilight appearing, and the princesses began to worry sick. But as soon as they voiced their thoughts, another violet explosion filled the room, and in Twilight's place, a unicorn dropped down and struggled to walk, but the strain was too great, and so unicorn promptly collapsed. Her mane was short and put into a small braid , and it was a light teal color with some white streaks. Her coat was completely a polished snow white, and she wore navy blue glasses. The unicorn blinked, as if she were getting used to her surroundings. Cadence, Luna and Celestia glanced at the unicorn in concern. Was that still Twilight, or was that a completely different pony, with no memory whatsoever that she was the Princess of Friendship.
"Twilight? Are you ok? Do you know who I am?" asked Cadence as she wrapped her wing around the unicorn, who was fidgeting around with her glasses and blushed cutely.
"Of course I know you Cadence! And the spell worked! Perfectly, and it went according to plan. And, I got a temporary cutie mark and a new body for now. This is perfect! You can use this! You'll be treated normally, like anypony!" said Twilight as she stumbled around. "And... I got a chicken cutie mark? What is that supposed to mean? Wait.. Gloves... My talent is CHICKEN SEXING?"
Luna could not keep the laughter inside, and it broke through, like a broken dam of water. She rolled over in laughter. Cadence glared at the elder princess, as if an annoyed mother.
"Luna, keep it together, please. So, what was the name that the spell told you Twi?" asked Cadence as she glared once more. Celestia had to put one white hoof in Luna's mouth to prevent her from laughing more. Twilight blinked once more and raised her head.
"The magical spirits, the spells... They called me Sharp Feather. " said Twilight as she embraced her new identity and alter ego.
