The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the breeze was whistling, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Well, except for one. Young mare, Rainbow Dash was relaxing on a small cotton white cloud just above the Ponyville market place. The whole street was bustling with ponies in search of good deals. The air smelt of delicious freshly baked bread, apple dumplings, and Rainbow's favorite, chocolate hay pastries. But Rainbow Dash knew one thing for sure! She simply couldn't ask for a more beautiful day.

Rainbow flopped onto her stomach, hanging her front hooves over the front of the cloud in a stretch. She watched as ponies from all over Ponyville, and Cloudsdale scanned the stands. There were bakery stands, vegetable stands, fruit stands, toy stands, and more! But the one that stood out to Rainbow Dash, was the Apple family's stand, right smack in the middle of market street. Rainbow now knew where the smell of apple dumplings were coming from.

Standing at the Sweet Apple Acre's stand, was Applejack and her little sister Applebloom. Applejack is the most honest, dependable, sweet friend Rainbow Dash could ask for. Her cowboy hat tipped back on her head, she leaned against the stand, as a few ponies examined an apple pie. Dash could tell by the look on their face, that their mouths were flooding with saliva at the delicious cinnamon scent. Applejack's apple pies are the finest in Ponyville, and maybe even in all of Equestria! Or, at least that was Rainbow's opinion.

With out another thought, she stretched out her wings, and swooped down towards the street. She landed with a soft thud. Applejack spotted her, and a smile grew on her face. "Hey Rainbow!" She said, taking a big, solid bite of a red delicious.

"Hey Applejack. Hey Applebloom." She took an apple in her hoof, tossing it up in the air, and bouncing it between her hooves. "I didn't know you'd be selling in the market today." She said, not taking her eyes from her bouncing apple.

"Well, we sure are!" Applebloom said, swiping the apple when it was in the air, and placing it back on the stand. Rainbow Dash chuckled, ruffling Applebloom' mane in a noogie. "Rainbow!" Applebloom laughed, trying to pull away. But she was trapped in Dash's arms. When Rainbow released her, Applebloom galloped back towards some of the customers that were eagerly awaiting.

"So, what are you up to today?" Applejack asked, leaning against the stand once more.

"Just excited about the Wonderbolts air show tonight!" Rainbow exclaimed.

"The air show in Canterlot? How are you gonna get there?" She asked.

"Oh... I hadn't really thought about it much." Rainbow said thoughtfully. "I'll probably just take the train."

"Or you could just fly there." Applejack joked, winking.

"Hey, that's not actually such a bad idea."

"Really? Cause um... I was joking." Applejack chuckled, shuffling her hoof against the ground. Rainbow Dash just shrugged, glancing over at the apple delicacies on their stand. "You can take something if you'd like. Its on the house." She said, motioning to the yummy looking treats.

"Wow, thanks AJ!" Rainbow Dash said, taking one of Applejack's signature apple cupcakes with mint green frosting. She took a small bite, and the taste exploded on her tongue. The rich cinnamon, tart mint, and juicy apples mixed together into a perfect combo. "Mmm..." Dash moaned softly, closing her eyes and enjoying the cupcake as she swallowed it.

Later that afternoon, Rainbow Dash went down to Carousel Boutique. Rarity was fixing up her Grand Galloping Gala dress for the air show. She had originally demanded to make Rainbow a new one, but somehow was convinced out of it. Rainbow didn't want to put her through too much trouble for an hour long air show. It wasn't that fancy of an event, right?

The door opened with a ring of the bell, and Rarity spun around from a mannequin that held Rainbow's dress. "Rainbow Dash! I just finished, and I think you'll be pleased." She smiled, levitating the dress from the mannequin with her magic. "Try it on so I can make the final adjustments, will you?" Rainbow nodded, taking the dress out of the air, and trotting over to the changing rooms. Just then, Opal scampered right in front of her hooves. Rainbow stumbled backwards, and Sweetie Belle went zipping by after the cat.

"Sorry Rainbow Dash!" She exclaimed, without looking away from the cat. Opal scaled one of the curtains. Rainbow watched for a moment, chuckling. She walked into the changing room, shutting the door with a bang.

The fabric felt as silky as always, as she slipped it over her body. The colors looked brighter, and the golden headpiece was polished. She carefully placed it on her head, admiring the new fit of the dress. She heard hoof steps outside the stall. "How is it fitting Rainbow?" Rarity asked.

"It's perfect Rarity!" She said, opening the door and trotting out with her head held high.

"Oh no, no, no." Rarity began. Rainbow stopped dead in the center of the room. "The waist was suppose to fit tighter. Come over here." She helped Rainbow onto the tailor's stand, levitating pins, golden thread, and sewing needles from the shelf. She pinned the waistline until it fit snugly around Dash. She then sewed it together, clipping excess fabric and thread. "Much better." She said when she finished, putting her supplies back on the shelf.

"I really do appreciate this Rarity."

"Oh, no big deal. Anything for a good friend!" She helped Rainbow out of the dress. "Just come by and pick it up when you're on your way." Rarity instructed, turning back to another dress that she was just beginning for a clothing order. Rainbow nodded, trotting out of the shop. She absolutely couldn't wait for the air show! After the tornado that Rainbow lead in Ponyville, Spitfire offered her a VIP seat!

"One last stop..." Rainbow Dash muttered to herself, as she flew along the roof tops of Ponyville. The streets as full of ponies as always. She soared down towards Twilight Sparkle's library.
