The day the soldier came to tell us the bad news. My father. My best friend. Had died. We went to his grave a day after his funeral and put a flower by the cross. Before we went home I sat in front of the grave and cried. And cried. And cried. He promised me he was coming home. Well. I guess he didn't really break that promise... Right? I sobbed. Letting the tears ride down my face onto the grave of my father. When we got home I sobbed. It was just me and my mother now. Nothing could go wrong here right? No. Things got worse. 4 years after the death of my greatly beloved father. My mother passed away. She died of a really bad tumour growing in her brain. They tried to fix her but couldn't the tumour was already to big. So. She passed. And i was put into a foster home. Before she died though. She gave me a weird amulet. It was a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt erupting from it.I was curious about it but never got to ask. I. Never said. Goodbye. Never. I never said anything. I was a silent kid and I didn't talk much even around my parents. So I never said I love you. Or goodbye. Like I should have. Now look. I'm being put up for adoption. I just hit my 19 birthday. The day I finally decided or try and find that amulet. I looked upstairs, in my room, in the other room, in the attic, everywhere. Everywhere but one place. The basement. I shivered at the thought of going into my basement. Did I mention I hate basements? Anyways. I made it down stairs and looked around before finally finding it on a dusty shelve. //-------------------------------------------------------// Part2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Part2 "There you are you little devil. I wonder why mom gave this to me..." I say as I scratch my head. I shrug and go upstairs (Did I mention I was adopted?). I sit down on my couch and look at the amulet. A cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt shooting out of it, with a gold outline. "Looks like a necklace." I mumble to myself. I stare down at the artifact and turn it around so I'm facing the back of it. "Element of loyalty...odd." I stare down into the artifact some more before putting in on. Then Everything goes black. *** -Meanwhile in Equestria, Rainbow Dashs POV- "Hey Twi! Did you find it yet?" I yell up the stairs to get no reply. "Twi?!" I yell again. Getting an awnser this time. "No! How could you just something like this!?" Twilight replies. I huff and slam my hoof against the cloud floor. "I'm sorry Twilight! It was just there then I look away, look back and poof! It's just gone!" I fly upstairs into my room where Twilight is searching. I look around and continue to help out. .4 hours later. I sigh and so does Twilight. She looks at me with a disappointed look, I fold my ears and blush slightly. "I'm sorry..." I say. I look up at her again only to find her looking out at the Everfree forest. "What?" I ask looking where I thought she was. She places a hoof on my face and force my head to see what she does. I gasp. *** -Matthews POV- I awake only to find myself falling. Fast. My eyes widen and I start screaming. "WHAAAAAT THEEEEEE FUCKKKKKKK!!!!" I see the ground below me quickly coming towards me. I don't see any soft spots and I accept my death. I spread my arms out and straighten my legs so I look like a T. Just when I'm about to hit the ground I see a blue blur fly past me and try to catch me, she fails miserably. Before I hit the ground though I see her flank. The cloud and lightning bolt. SMASH... .1 week later. "Huh...wha..." I manage to cough out. My body hurts. EVERYWHERE. my arm and leg hurt the most though. Supposivly broken. Then I remember that blur. That same mark. I look around and see an IV needle in my arm, and a heart monitor on the other side of the bed. The pain goes away everywhere but my arm. Apparently my leg isn't broke. I was just sleeping on it wrong. The arm though... I get one leg off the bed, then the other. Then I stand up completely. I look at the needle and pull it out with my hand. I begin to walk around the room until the doctor comes in and sees me. He gasps and backs up, then runs away. Probably to get security or something. Just one thing was wrong though...He was a pony. Well so was my "So called hero". I walk over to the window and see a town. A little old town filled with the ponies. "I'm definitely not in Canada anymore..." I mutter before walking out the open door. I see the doctor coming back but with this time he has two buff earth ponies that look angry. I squint my eyes before charging at them football style with my good arm. The ram wasn't that powerful yet I was still able to knock the two out cold. I look at the doctor then at the exit. I give him a quick smile before turning to the door. I feel something puncture my skin and I look back to find a needle in my shoulder with green liquid. "Fuck." I run out the doors and keep running. I run into the town getting a few stares before everyo- every pony go complete ape shit and start screaming. I realize the artifact was still around my neck just hidden from my shirt collar. I take it off and look at it. "I need to return this..." I say as I get a bit drowsy from that liquid. I see the forest and run into it. I stop in front of a bush and put my hands on my knees. "I'll sleep here...tomorrow I'll find that cyan Pegasus..." I look around before going behind the bush and falling asleep. -Rainbows POV- "He what!" I ask/shout. The doctor looks a bit scared when I raised my voice. "Y-Yes..He escaped. But couldn't have gotten far. I gave him a sleep diagnose." He says with little hope in his eyes. I nod and look at Twilight. "What are we gonna do Twi?" I ask. She looks up at me and begins to start talking. "We're gonna gather the town to find him. Every single resident to this village will help track that thing down..." She replies. I look down at my hooves and sigh. "Let's get a move on then." I say. -14 hours after, Matthews POV- *Yawnnn* I stretch out feeling my back pop with that amazing feeling of relief. "Time to start the day...Oh wait.." I look down at the element. I sigh and quietly head back to the town. I look around the town seeing it being full with ponies. "I'll have to stick to the shadows..." I look around before spotting an ally way. I look at it and sneak over to it. I look around the corners and stare at what seems to be the town hall. I crouch down and stare at the huge crowd of ponies. She's got to be in there somewhere. "I'm going to regret doing this later.." I say before standing up and walking towards the crowd. Halfway there and I hear some pony scream, "It's Here!! The monster!" I ignore it and continue through the crowd. They all start spreading apart and moving away when I came near. I spot the Pegasus and walk over to her. She looks up to me in sheer fear and shock. I crouch down so I'm eye level with her and I take the amulet off. Her eyes widen and she gasps as she sees it. I place it I front of her when I'm suddenly tackled to the ground by some stallions. I can't do anything because of the arm. One of them steps on it and slowly behind crushing it. My eyes widen at the sudden pain and I let out a blood curdling scream. The stallions on me quickly back away as I grab my broken arm. I have tears in my eyes now. The pain is too much. I begin to sob as I grab my arm and pull it closer. To my surprise that same pony I gave the amulet to rushes over to me. "Are you alright?!" She asks. I shake my head furiously as I stare into her eyes. Tears still falling down my face. She looks incredibly concerned even a little scared. I hear another voice behind her. "Rainbow dash! Come back that's the monster!" I look at who said that and I began getting up startling everyone. I walk over to the purple mare and I look her in the eyes. "I'm no fucking monster." And with that she backs away slightly. I look at the crowd then to the Pegasus aka Rainbow dash. I open my mouth to try and say something...nothing comes out. I shake my head and begin walking towards the forest again. I feel a hoof on my shoulder and when I look to see who it is I get hugged. I look at the hugger and am wildly surprised to find Dash. Just...hugging me. I look at her confused and she looks back with a smile. It reminds me of my fathers smile. I begin to tear up again. I turn away from her though and begin to walk into the forest again.
