"Hunter!", screamed my friend, Tyler. I tried to shoot it, but it jumped on me. I turned around to call to Tyler for help, but he was already gone. "Damn it, he ditched me.", was all I could think before I felt the worst pain of my life in my shoulder. I looked up. The hunter had bit me. I felt like screaming, so I did. The one person I had trusted had abandoned me, and I had been bitten, all within five minutes, and I felt lonely and betrayed. The hunter used its claws and slashed my face. Then, the unthinkable happened. A huge hole opened up in the sky, and the hunter shrieked and ran away. The hole started to get bigger and bigger, and I was sucked in. I blacked out.
"Hey, I found another one, Peach. Ugh, its ugly too. Has a big claw mark on its face. This one's probably a fighter. Maybe we could sell him to the fighting rings."
I opened my eyes, and what I saw shocked me. There was a talking unicorn, and it was talking about me as if i were some kind of animal. I tried to voice my opinion of this, but all that came out was a low growl.
"Damn, the infection is hitting me.", I thought.
"Wow, this one is feisty. Yep, he would sell good for the rings. Maybe I should hit Silver Dollar up and tell him about it.", said the unicorn.
"That would be great.", agreed a female orange pegasus.
"I must be in a coma or something.", I thought.
Either way, I did not want to meet this 'Silver Dollar'. He did not sound like a nice dude. So, I let out a roar, Jumped up, and jumped away into the trees. Unfortunately, that's when I felt something hit me in the leg. I looked back, and there was a dart in my leg. Oops. i forgot one of the ponies could fly.
"Well, that's just fantastic.", I thought as I passed out for the second time that day.
When I woke up, there was a gray regular pony with black hair and a cigar in his mouth looking at me. He also had a picture of a coin on his butt. I figured this must be 'Silver Dollar.' I did not like the look on his face, so I jumped at the bars of the cage I was in and let out a series of barks and growls. His smirk only got wider.
"i'll give you four thousand bits for him.", he said.
The other two looked shocked.
"Yes sir, we'll get him ready for you.", said the unicorn.
"That will not be necessary, i have brought a few stallions with me to help e get him ready."
Four more ponies walked out of a cart with a muzzle and one of those leashes that dog catchers use to handle violent dogs.
One of them slowly opened my cage, and suddenly the leash was around my neck and some ropes were tied around my hands. One of them put the muzzle on my face, and I was shoved into the back of the cart, where there were bars to keep me prisoner. i was trapped, and I was afraid.
After a few hours, we stopped for lunch. A green pegasus pony with a yellow mane that was styled in a bun came up to the cage with what looked like dog food. He smiled at me sadly.
"Hey little guy, my name is Zephyr breeze. My sister Fluttershy would love you. She's really good with animals."
He seemed really nice. I wondered what he was doing with this bunch of thugs. As if reading my mind, he said "I wish I did not have to work here. Everything was going so well at my last job, but I saw a customer mistreating a human one day, and I just could not stand by. After about awhile in jail, I was finally bailed out by my parents. This was the only job that would hire me because of my criminal record. I guess I am no better than those other ponies now, am I?" A tear slipped down his face. I was tempted to try to comfort him, but suddenly i got the urge to bite him and tear off his wings and eat them. So, I took a few deep breaths, and soon I was back in control. That, however was short lived when another pony came up and started to tease me. My anger built up until I could not take it anymore. I broke through my binds, and somehow, my claws tore through the bars like they were made of butter. I jumped out of the cage, and tore through the pony until he was dead. That was when Silver Dollar came up and started to hit me. Zephyr got a weird look in his eyes, and he pulled the pony off of me. Then, we both started running. "Looks like its just you and me now, huh buddy?", he said with a slight smile. i too was happy, because I finally felt like I had a true friend.

Later that night, we camped out in the creepiest forest I have ever seen.
"Nopony will come in here. They will be too sacred.", Zephyr said, laughing.
I agreed. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't come anywhere near this place.
"Tomorrow we will go see my sister Fluttershy, and I will fill out the legal papers to adopt you. I hope she isn't still mad at me for going to jail.", he said.
"Now, what shall I name you?", he pondered.
I prayed that it would not be something stupid. By some miracle, he named me my real name.
"I'll call you Ryder.", he said with a smile.
"Thank God.", I thought. I jumped up in a tree branch to sleep.
The next morning, i woke up to a burning feeling. i realized that i was getting a major sun burn."Oh no. That's a sign the infection is spreading.", I thought with horror.
I did not want to turn into a monster.
Suddenly, i coughed. Zephyr woke up.
"Are you sick buddy? Let's hurry and get you to Fluttershy. Don't worry, you have a friend in her, and you have a friend in me."

Sorry its short. Also, I have never played l4d, only read other fanfiction, so sorry if this is not very good.
I felt bad for leaving Tyler behind, but in a world filled with zombies, it was every man for himself. I could not let regret hold me down, for it would only get me killed.
After running away, I ran into a pack of hunters. They all bit me. As they were about to finish me off, a huge portal magically opened up out of the sky, and sucked me in.
When I opened my eyes again, I was in a tree in a world that looked very much like a cartoon.
"Yeah.... I'm in a coma., I thought. Either that, or I was dead.
"Prince Blueblood said he wants a new human.", I heard a voice say.
Who the heck was 'Prince Blueblood.'? And what did they mean, 'wants a human.'? Were these guys slave traders or something?
When the voice rounded the corner, I was shocked.
There were two horses with wings and in armor. What's more, they were talking!
Suddenly, one of them looked up into the tree I was in.
Oh shit., was all I could think.
One of them pointed a hoof up in my direction.
"There's one. Go tell the rest of the guards that there is a human over here, and tell them to bring the tranquilizer. This one looks a little wild.", said a tall gray one with white hair.
"Yes sir!", said the other, before scurrying off.
"Come here little guy. I will not hurt you."
What did this guy think I was, some sort of dog? I tried to tell him that I was a person, and should be treated like one, but all that came out was a growl. The guy looked a little scared hearing it.
That was when the rest of the guards showed up, and i saw the tranquilizer in their hooves.
If they thought I was going without a fight, they were dead wrong.
However, what I failed to notice, was that two more of these ponies, for that seemed to be what they were because they were smaller than horses, had crept up behind me with a net.
They threw the net over me, and I struggled to get out, but only ended up making myself get more caught.
"Good job, mares and stallions, now we can get this thing to the prince. Purple Feather, hand me the tranquilizer,.", said the gray one.
He seemed to be the leader of this group.
The other nodded, and did as she was told.
The gray one then shot a dart into my neck, and that was all I knew before the darkness overwhelmed me.
