VRRRMMPPHHH...puh! "umm is the engine supposed to sound like that?" my best friend Kyle asked from the back seat of my heavily modified SBD-3 dive bomber

"Nope" I replied as I calmly attempted to restart the engine while in my head I was freaking out

"Oh shit Fuel..check....Oil..fine...altitude...5000ft....why's the engine dead?!?!"

All while I projected a complete air of confidence as the plane slowly began to lose altitude "Is it also supposed to be off?" Kyle relpied. I noticed in the mirror that he was grinning like a kid "Ok what did you do" I asked realizing he was messing with me.

He tapped a button on the rear control panel and the engine coughed to life "nothing" he said still grinning "Ok than if thats how you wanna play" I said with a grinn of my own. Before Kyle could realize what a bad decision he had made I rolled the plane onto its back causing him to fall out of his seat onto the reinfored glass canopy. He was now looking straight at the ground with just a little bit of glass and metal between him and a 4000+ft drop into a marsh "AHHH" he screamed thinking the glass would break. I laughed and rolled the plane right side up dumping him in his seat "told ya not to touch anything" I said "promise you won't do that again..ever" he shakily replied "agreed just seriously don't touch stuff" I replied "OK" was his response.

I should probably mention the Kyle's been my best friend ever since college when we designed a new military jet as a combined project and became millionairs when we sold the design and after some smart investments we were set for life finacially.

Most people our age would spend the money on exgravagent houses, yachts, supercars and party's but not us, nope as a couple of geeks we bought the best computers and filled our garages, hangers and piers with toys...not that most people would consider our small collection a buch of toys but it all reality who buys a C5M Supergalaxy heavy transport plane, a nuclear powered Typhoon transport sub, an ex navy destroyer, enough tanks and planes to take over a small country, and an arsenal of weapons and a warehouse full of other random stuff just because they looked cool on TV? Us thats who. Where do we keep all of this stuff? Simple..on our own island complete with a castle...how did we afford this when we were just small time millionairs?

Did I mention we invested smartly?...very smartly in a few things, a gamecompany who had just invented a new console, a up-and-coming film studio, and a kid from our college. How'd this make us super rich?

The new console was the first full-dive virtual reality system, the film studio got bought out by Disney after producing a very popular series based on a fan fiction story called "Tales of the Oppressed", and the kid from college created a bio fuel that sent the fortunes of oil tycoons up in smoke. Our fortunes even passed those of Bill Gates though aside from our ever growing collection we lived simple lives, we eat fast food, worked out (a bit) and continued to invent weapons most of which never left our hands due to both the danger the weapons possesed and the rarity of some of the parts, the rarest of which was a pistol that used a rare gem called Sphene to create a midlevel laser that was solar powered. The gem took the suns white light and turned it into a wide array of other colors that when tightly focused using a large amount of lenses became deadly.

Today though was one of our fun days we would spin a wheel to see which vechicle we would take out for a spin and today fate decided we should fly our moddied SBD-3

. "Whats say we land this thing and grab a bite?" Kyle said after recovering from his experience "sounds good to me" I replied as I nosed the plane down. Seeing a fairly wide river cutting through the marsh I deployed the air brakes and let the plane fall, upon touching the waters surface my concentration was completly on keeping the plane balanced on its narrow floats and didnt notice the man standing in the river ahead until Kyle cried out, I looked ahead and saw the biggest man I had ever seen he was easily 7ft and had the features of a bodybuilder and he was right infront of us.

I leaned hard on the stick in an attempt to turn the plane but the delicate balance of the plane caused it to lean it the right, in an attempt to keep the wing from hitting the water I moved the stick left but over corrected and the left wings fuel tank dug into the water and swung the whole plane around. I heard a loud thud and knew I had hit the giant man, the plane tipped over onto its side with one wing in the air the other stuck in the muddy bottom of the river. Kyle recovered faster than I did and quickly jumped out to see if the man was alright I was struggling with my seatbelt when I heard a deep voice shout "NOO" and my vision went dark.

I awoke to the sound of crashing waves which immediatly my brain red flagged "Waves? Theres no oceans or lakes near here" any other thoughts were drowned out by a spliting head ache which kicked my sleepy brain into overdrive "Ohhh that hurts" I muttered, it faded quickly and I let out a sigh "thats better now...OH SHIT THE GUY" my eyes flew open and were met by the sight of a beautiful beach with white sand and crystal clear water backed by a tropical forest...wait what?

I shook my head and looked around again, there was no mistaking it I was still in the plane but I was on a beach with no one in sight. I unbuckled and stood up to get a better view "where the hell am I?" I muttered. Noticing Kyle wasn't around I cupped my hands and yelled "KYLE!! WHERE THE HELL YOU AT?" getting no response I sat down and checked my phone and was shocked by what it told me it was June 21 5032 the phone got its information directly from one of me and Kyle's satelites so enless someone hacked it and decided to play a prank the info had to be true I quickly opened the GPS locater app and found that I was sitting...."IN KANAS?

There's no way theres no tropical forests and crystal clear water fronts in Kansas" "I was just in Floridia now I'm in Kansas..and Kyles apperently not nearby" I set the satelite to scan the planet and update its map, a process that would take two days. As I sat wondering what was going on I got an idea "I'll check where Kyle's phone is" I opened my phone and ran the tracking program we had installed a few years ago when I left my phone in Tokyo..."done now to see where....HOW DID HE GET OVER THERE!?"

I shook my head and looked again but the red pin was still sitting on London. I sank into the seat "what the hell is going on here" I muttered as I held my head in my hands until something thudded against the plane I stood up and looked down and watched as a coconut floated past "SHIT THE PLANE ISNT MOORED YET!" I quickly jumped out into the water and walked under the plane. I grabbed the cable from the winch and started torwards the nearest tree, after looping it around the trunk I turned to head back to the plane only to see it farther out in the water "SHIT wait up!" I yelled and sprinted out to the water and started to swim out after it.

It continued to move farther away from shore until the cable ran out allowing me to catch up, I pulled my self onto one of the floats and started to crank the lever to rewind the cable. Now when maxed out the cable is 250ft long and it only winds about 3inches every turn of the crank so by the time I got the plane safely on shore it was night. I tied the plane down tighter and was just about to get in when I noticed the large dent in the right float "Geez that guy must have been built like a tank to dent this thing" I thought.

I climbed into the cockpit and sighed "guess I'm stuck here for awhile...whelp might as well make the best of it" I reached into the passenger section and pulled out my suitcase "lets see here clothes..nope...razor..nope.....crystaline gun..hmm might need that....ah here we are" I pulled out a large sandvich and dug in with the ferocity of a starved animal after finishing the sandvich I closed the cockpit reclied my chair and drifted off to sleep with hundreds of questions floating around in my head most noticably "how'd I end up in Kansas 3000 years in the future?" unable to answer the question I fell into a dreamless sleep.
