One morning Pinkie Pie woke up from a night of fun with her best friend Twilight Sparkle. She giggled and bounced. She went to make breakfast and wait for her friend. While eating breakfast Pinkie waited for Twilight to get up. Any minute now and her friend would come down the stairs say good morning to Pinkie Pie and she would eat breakfast and get up to walk around town with her freinds. Pinkie Pie smiled thinking about all the fun things to do today with her best friend.
Unfortunetly while she waited her breakfast got cold so she sighed heated it up and ate while deciding to have breakfast without Twilight but that's okay Twilight had the rest of the morning to wake up. She probably was oversleeping. Pinkie thought about waking Twiloght up but decided against it wanting to give her friend some more time.
She colored while she waited giggling wile also reading about party supplies. Time passed and it was now noon. Pinkie Pie got distracted by her growling tummy. She looked around but didn't see Twilight. Pinkie was dumbfounded. Was Twilight still sleeping? That was strange. Twilight did sometimes sleep in late but not this late. Pinkie thought that Twilight must be hungry right now. Should she go check on her? Pinkie looked at the clock and noticed that something was wrong. Twilight never slept like this.
She wondered on what she should do. She wanted to hang out with her friend and have Twilight get together with her other friends. She quietly walked up to The guest room and knocked loudly. She called quietly.
"Twilight? Are you okay?" Pinkie asked. She thought that maybe Twilight had a fever and was staying in her room or she was in a deep sleep. She knocked louder. There was no answer. Pinkie opened the door and walked up to her friend. She sat down.
"Twilight it's time to get up." Pinkie asked. Twilight didn't answer. She shook Twilights shoulder.
"Twilight! You've been sleeping the whole morning it's now noon. Get up." Pinkie said. There was no response. Pinkie had a growing feeling but she ignored it and tried again.
"Twilight! Get up please!" Pinkie asked growing upset. Pinkies eyes grew wide. She shook Twilights shoulder more.
"TWILIGHT?! Wake up!!!" Pinkie said on the verge of her voice breaking. Twilight layed there not even moving. Pinkie had tears growing in her eyes.
"No please don't let it be." Pinkie said to herself in her mind as the possibility grew on her.
"TWILIGHT SPARKLE! PLEASE GET UP!" Pinkie said screaming. Pinkie stopped and looks at Twilight. Pinkie had tears streaking down her face as it dawned on her.
"MR CAKE! EMERGENCY!" Pinkie screamed. Mr Cake ran into the room and figured out what was going on.
"She can't wake up!!" Pinkie screamed. Mr Cake ran outside and called Nurse Redheart. Nurse Redheart rushed over to Twilights body. Pinkie stood back as Nurse Redheart checked Twilight.
"Twilight?" Nurse Redheart said. Pinkie pinched Twilight a little just to make sure she would wake up. She didn't. Nurse Redheart gently made Pinkie move aside and checked to see if Twilight was breathing. She couldent hear her so she checked her pulse. Pinkie waited. Nurse Redheart became silent. Pinkie grew worried. Was her friend okay? What was happening? Twilight was fine yesterday. Nurse Redheart pulled away and turned around to face Pinkie. Should she tell her? If she did announce it Pinkie would be in despair. She decided to say it there was no other way.
"Pinkie....Twilight has passed away." Nurse Redheart sadly announced. Pinkie stood there not believing what she heard. Her heart hurt hearing that.
"W-what?" Pinkie asked her voiced breaking. Nurse Redheart gave Pinkie a sad expression.
"Pinkie I know this is hard but Twilight Sparkle is dead. Twilight passed away peacefully in her sleep." Nurse Redheart. Pinkies eyes grew wide and tears built up in her eyes.
"We can't do anything. I'm so sorry. I offer my condolences." Nurse Redheart said reciting a tough line she has told other families time and time again. Pinkies mane deflated. Nurse Redheart tried keeping a professional face but failed as tears leaked out of her eyes.
Nurse Redheart had Twilights body picked up and reported it to the media. In minutes of this reporters converged on their position and sent reports out to newspapers. The newspaper ponies quickly printed the news and sent the papers out and a coroner pony checked Twilights pulse and set an official report declaring Twilight dead.
Meanwhile Celestia was in a meeting at the Crystal Empire with Shining Armor and Princess Cadence and while she was talking some pony entered the room and gave one of the Royal guards a report and the guard looked at it and his eyes grew. He looked over at Celestia nervously. Should he give her the report? She didn't know how Celestia would respond. He gulped and whispered to her.
"Princess Twilight Sparkle is dead." He said to her his heart beating quickly. He tried to keep his composure. Princess Celestias eye twitched as she grew silent. The guard didn't know how she would react. Celestia ceased talking and they all knew it wasn't good. Celestia didn't speak. Celestia then walked out of the room not saying a word. The guard told Shining Armour and he ran off in anger and he told Cadence and she broke down sobbing. Celestia just got in her carriage and took off to Ponyville silently. Celestia's eyes started to get watery but she was glad nopony could see her.
Meanwhile they had Twilights body in Canterlot and Celestia landed there and was greeted by Royal guards and they led her to Twilights body and she saw Twilights parents and the mane six were there. They were all crying. Celestia walked up to Twilights body and all at once tears grew in her eyes and she shook with sobs.
Every single citizen of Equestria found out about it. They held a funeral and they buried Twilight. They also crowned reformed Sunset Shimmer as the element of magic. Nopony smiled for days. Equestria was changed for ever that day. Nothing would be the same without Twilight Sparkle.
