Luna’s moon mottled the floor and walls of the castle of friendship with sporadic patches of light as the midnight blue alicorn made her way down the hall toward Twilight’s bed chambers. The Princess of the night stopped in front of a massive set of crystal doors and with small motion of her hands and a tiny bit of light from her long slender horn. The doors parted opening on soundless hinges. Luna padded into the bed chamber as silently as an assassin. She slipped from shadow to shadow until she made it to Twilight’s bed side. To Luna’s annoyance the simple queen sized bed sat empty, with the quilt still tucked neatly into the corners. Luna growled in irritation, it was well into the morning hours of the night and Twilight was still not in bed. A quick flash of magic later and Luna found herself standing in front of the castle library doors.
Luna pushed the doors open by hand and strode confidently into the massive room. Book shelves lined almost every surface filled with various texts and tomes. There were tall racks filled with various parchments and periodicals. The smell of old leather and paper hung dryly in the air. The library’s lighting was done by magic crystals rather than candles, as fire near such precious books could prove disastrous.
The prized library had caused Luna to tease Twilight on more than one occasion about being the Princess of Books and not of friendship. Luna strode through the stacks to the back of the library to Twilight’s favorite study nook, where she found the smaller lavender alicorn fast asleep on an ancient tome of some sort, with her head resting on her arms. Luna examined the scene for a few moments before a wicked smile crept across her face.
The dream library was exactly the same as the one that Luna was standing in a moment ago. Just out of curiosity she picked a book off a shelf at random finding it an exact word for word reproduction. In most ponies’ dreams books were just space holders filled with blank pages or gibberish, but certainly not Princess of Books’, they were dedicated copies of the real thing. Luna shook her head and replaced the book. With a flash of her horn she stood not as Luna but as Nightmare Moon, her black sky iron armor fitting tightly to her leith body, her fur as night and with King Sombra’s scythe Luna had taken from him upon his defeat. The scythe’s long curved blade was engraved with various enchantments and burned with a black eldritch flame.
With a wicked grin that showed off her fangs, she again approached Twilight’s nook. The lavender alicorn was so engrossed in her book that she didn’t even notice when Nightmare Moon approached. “Leave it to Twi to be reading in a dream” Luna thought to herself as she drew the scythe back. Only when she swung the blade forward and sliced in half the book that Twilight was reading did Twilight react to Nightmare Moon’s menacing presence.
Twilight, shocked by the sudden interruption, fell out of her chair with a yelp. She tried to summon a shield spell but her magic failed her and she scooted back from the grinning Nightmare.
“L-Luna?” Twilight Stammered.
“Oh, you would like that wouldn't you? Your precious marefriend here to save you.” Nightmare Moon said, bringing the blade of her scythe down in front of Twilight. Twilight’s eyes focused on the Blade that crackled with eldritch energy.
Twilight determined not to die so easily, summoned her armor and blade. She was instantaneously encased in lavender and black armor of an alloy that Twilight had designed herself. She stood eyeing the midnight mare in front of her with a determined look. She drew her sword from its scabbard, the tear drop blade shone with a magenta aura matching Twilight's own magic. The blade was engraved but with a much simpler ivy pattern in which tiny runes were hidden to enchant the blade.
“We see you wish to fight rather than yield. It matters not. We will see your blood spilled and you will know our blade.” Nightmare Moon hissed.
She lunged at Twilight only to have Twilight’s blade ring out as the mighty weapons met.
“I will not yield. I have defeated you once before and I will do it again!” Twilight said through gritted teeth as the two magically enhanced blades crackled in between the two warriors. Twilight pushed her blade forward and advanced on Nightmare moon. The two mares took to the air and battled over and through Twilight’s library. As the two mares squared off, Nightmare Moon wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and spit, tasting her own blood. Her lower lip had split and was swelling from a blow with the butt of Twilight’s sword.
Panting, Twilight inspected the deep black gouge the ran across the breastplate of her armor.
“ENOUGH OF THESE GAMES, YOU WILL KNEEL AND CALL US MISTRESS, OR WE SHALL KILL YOU!” Nightmare moon raged.
“I am a princess of Equestria, I have sworn to defend the ponies of these lands with my life, I will die before I bow to you and allow their subjugation,“ Twilight said with her volume not matching Nightmare Moon’s, but her tone left no doubt to her conviction.
“VERY WELL THEN!” Nightmare Moon said in the Royal Canterlot Voice. Her Horn lit up with an electric blue aura that grew to envelop her arms and hands as she forced all her power into a compressed ball. She took a step forward preparing to launch the ball but stopped when finding Twilight upon her. Twilight thrust her sword into the small gap between Nightmare Moon’s breast and stomach plate. The dark alicorn looked down at the wound and back to the determined look on Twilight’s face marred by a single tear.
“You may have my Luna’s body but you’ll receive no mercy from me!” Twilight spit in the Midnight alicorn’s face.
“You think you’ve won?” Nightmare Moon asked unleashing the ball of power at point blank range. Twilight’s armor absorbed and deflected what it could, but the purple alicorn was still blasted across the room into a wall of books, sending several shelves worth scattering to the ground.
“YOU’RE DREAMING, PRINCESS! THIS IS OUR REALM!” Nightmare Moon taunted, victoriously pulling the blade from her body. She brought it to her face and inspected the blade. “IT WAS A VALIANT EFFORT BUT A FAILED EFFORT ALL THE SAME.” she stuck out her tongue and licked some of her blood off the blade. Before letting the sword clatter to the ground.
Twilight stood slowly, a bit of blood trickled from the corner of her mouth. She flicked her wings shedding dust and splinters. “That was a mistake, you've just given me all the power I need. I’ll just wake up,” Twilight sneered.
“YOU THINK WE WOULD LET OUR NEW FAVORITE PUPPET GO SO EASILY? YOU’RE STAYING HERE UNTIL WE LET YOU GO OR YOU DIE!”
Twilight Summoned a pair of xiphos, a Greek type of short sword that has a double sided teardrop blade, to her hands and with a flap of her mighty wings took to the air once again. She screamed with rage, charging the blades with magenta magics as she dove at Nightmare Moon.
Twilight's blades rang with fury as they impacted against the black iron armor and enchanted scythe. Nightmare moon was rapidly backed against a wall and disarmed. Twilight seethed with rage and swung her blade to finish the Nightmare off.
“Twilight wait! Please, don’t kill me!” Luna begged, her eyes shifting back to her lovely teal. Twilight’s blade stopped just shy of making contact with Luna’s neck.
“Luna?” Twilight asked hopefully.
“FOOL!” Nightmare Moon cackled and sent Twilight flying across the room with another blast of arcane magic. Twilight bounced to a stop at the base of another book shelf, her unconscious body going limp.
Nightmare moon stood while wiping blood off her neck. With a flick of the nightmare’s magic the wrecked library disappeared, replaced by a black stone dungeon. A heavy iron shackle clamped onto Twilight’s ankle followed by another wave of magic. Nightmare Moon removed Twilight’s and her own armor. Nightmare Moon's was replaced by a tight black dress that showed off her ample cleavage.
A blue silk rope bound Twilight tightly, barely covering her more sensitive parts. Nightmare moon strode over to prone mare, her leather boots thumping heavily on the stone floor. She drew her right leg back and kicked Twilight in the gut hard enough to launch her off the floor.
“WAKE UP WHORE! IT IS TIME TO PLEASE YOUR MISTRESS.” Nightmare Moon commanded, making a leather riding crop appear in her hand. She swung it, mercilessly striking a gasping Twilight across her cheek. A black iron ring also appeared in Nightmare Moon’s magic Nightmare Moon jerked Twilight up to her knees by her purple striped pony tail. She grinned wickedly, showing off her fangs as she slipped the ring down Twilight’s horn letting her hand gently stroke the sensitive ridges of the smaller alicorn’s horn as she seated the ring, negating all of Twilight’s magic.
“Don’t want you getting any ideas, now do we?” Nightmare moon whispered into Twilight’s ear. “You are our play thing until we bore of you, is that clear?” Nightmare moon hissed and bit the leading edge of Twilight’s ear sending shivers down Twilight’s spine”
“You can go to Tartarus.” Twilight said and spit in Nightmare Moon’s face. Earning her a vicious backhand.
Twilight fell to the ground and was kicked in the stomach again. The Black alicorn brought her black leather boot up to Twilight’s face.
“LICK YOUR MISTRESS’ BOOT, WHORE!” Twilight defiantly spit blood on the boot and stared hard at the living nightmare. “YOUR PRIDE WILL BE YOUR UNDOING, LITTLE PRINCESS!”
Nightmare moon kicked her again and again, each time asking for Twilight’s subservience. Twilight vehemently refused each time, this went on until Twilight was broken and bloody on the floor and Nightmare Moon was panting from the exertion.
“WE’VE GROWN TIRED OF YOUR GAME! IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO DIE, PRINCESS!” Nightmare Moon roughly drug Twilight to her feet by her hair. She pulled Twilight close, embracing her so that her breasts were smashed tight against Twilight’s back. A mirror appeared in front of them in a flash of blue magic.
“Feel free to watch your own death.” Nightmare moon whispered coldly into twilight’s ear. Before jerking her head to one side and sinking her fangs into Twilight’s artery. Nightmare moon licked at the open wound, freely drinking Twilight’s life force. Twilight watched the mirror, ensnared by the sight of Nightmare moon’s mouth at her neck as she rubbed escaped blood through Twilight’s fine lavender coat and across her breast, pinching her nipple as she bled twilight dry.
Both mares watched in the mirror, locking eyes, both waiting as the light in Twilight’s eyes dimmed, flickered and then snuffed out as the mare’s body went limp. Nightmare moon dropped the lifeless corpse and let the dreamscape fade.
As Luna returned to her own body and the surroundings faded in to focus she heard harsh panting from Twilight in the seat across from her. The lavender mare was flushed, panting hard and twitching almost to the point of seizing.
“By the fates are you ok, Twilight? Say something.” Luna jumped into action and grabbed her marefriend, laying her out on the floor. She scanned Twilight with a medical spell only to find nothing seriously wrong. Letting out a sigh of relief, Luna settled back, giving Twilight a chance to catch her breath.
“Holy shit, Luna! That was the best orgasm I’ve ever had.” Twilight gushed once her breathing slowed to a more normal rhythm.
“Glad you approved.” Luna said coyly leaning down and kissing her marefriend on the lips. Twilight broke the kiss a few moments later.
“Wait, you killed me!” Twilight said in a half accusing tone.
“Well you didn’t use the safe word, banana, remember.” Luna said shifting the blame. “Besides you loved it.”
“Yeah I guess so.” Twilight said snuggling into Luna. Luna brushed the hair out of Twilight’s eyes and gently kissed her on the horn.
“How about we get some breakfast in bed?“Luna asked Twilight as she was starting to doze off. “And then we can snuggle and make love the old fashioned way. I’m all for exploring and things but it’s hard on me beating you like that. I know you love it but it hurts me to see you in pain. Twilight, I love you.”
“I know you do, and I know that you would never hurt me. I trust you with my life, but I think you may be right. I think I should talk to someone about those darker desires.”
“Perhaps, but for now, Dr. Luna is prescribing pancakes and snuggles.” Luna kissed Twilight again and teleported them both to Twilight’s bed chambers.
In another part of the castle Spike suddenly stopped his relentless pounding as a gout of green flame brought forth a scroll. Starlight glimmer groaned and she snatched the scroll in her magic. Spike resumed his pace again and the slapping and wet squelching noises continued to build to a crescendo ending with Starlight screaming Spike’s name out and Spike hilting himself into Starlight while roaring impressively.
Both collapsed to the bed panting heavily. As their breathing slowed, Starlight floated the scroll to spike.
“They want pancakes in bed.” Starlight said.
“They are Both immortal, they can wait. Wanna go again?” Spike asked hopefully.
“I love dragon stamina.” Starlight said before pressing her lips against Spike’s.
